[ROM] [10.0] [UNOFFICIAL] LineageOS 17.1 for Note 9 (Snapdragon) - Samsung Galaxy Note 9 (Snapdragon) ROMs, Kernels,

LineageOS is a free, community built, aftermarket firmware distribution of Android 10, which is designed to increase performance and reliability over stock Android for your device.
LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review. You can also view the Changelog for a full list of changes & features.

Switched to sourceforge as the filehost since afh gave issues instantly.

Also just pushed an update as I thought I'd fixed something but it wasn't. Should be much better now.

I certainly plan to give it my best. Ims is quite a must for me on my carrier. I plan to work on that once I finish up a few bugs that I have left. Nothing major though.
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

I know that USA carriers have some strange implementation of IMS (Don't know much about just know it doesn't work on phones outside of the USA most of the time)
I can certainly test it on a more standard IMS setup which actually has no ODM image installed for my carrier.

I've seen this only once before. Your partitions are different than standard. You'll need to flash TGY firmware in order to flash lineage.
Sent from my Pixel 2 XL using Tapatalk

If you guys want ota via the lineage updater just add this line to your/system/build.prop
Code:
lineage.updater.uri=https://raw.githubusercontent.com/klabit87/OTA/master/crownqltechn.json
In my tests, ota zip didn't want to auto install in twrp for some reason. Maybe that can resolve later but it's easy to navigate to /data/lineageos_updater and install the rom zip. My searches indicate it's a common issue sometimes?
This will be included in future builds. This is for those that want to get ahead.
I plan to upload an update/ota tomorrow.

Just released an update with lots of stability and sepolicy fixes.
I also implemented OTA in this build and will be using Github.

Updated with latest June security patch and a few stability fixes. The screen lockup some are experiencing is still a problem I havent been able to fix it just yet. But I am working on it for sure.

hi sir, would this ROM work on N960u? I dont live on the US so i do not care about carrier features.. You will add ONEUI 2.1?

No to both.
I mean a custom rom such as lineage could be possible for your locked devices but not my builds.
You'd need to find someone willing to put the effort in to create a custom rom compatible with you guys' particular situation.

What works well for me are the Slim Gapps
Add the Issue Tracker link in the OP. There you can view current and resolved issues. Also I can confirm that there is a GApps issue...It should be fixed in today's/tomorrow's update.
Here is the feature list for the first SiriusAOSP release. View it here: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1hNao-Hfz_DKL2iR2m95vD-bSsE5cyIrGEveYB8dhp7o/edit?usp=sharing
New build up. ROM still not daily driver material but GApps now work. All I am going to say is you might want to check the Issue Tracker.
Another new build. This build was mostly a bug fix one. Check changelog for details. No major issues.

I don't understand. Is there anything to report in this ROM? Nothing since November. I just got my 5x so I'll try this ROM out. And report good and bads.
Edit: so I'm not misunderstood. I don't mean we need something from devs, that's not what Im saying. What I'm wondering is if anyone who has tried and ran this ROM had anything else to say on it. Yes, I see its still 6.0 but ehh I'm just curious.

[W.I.P] AOSP 7.1.1_r4 Nougat NMF26O [07.12.2016]

Builds of Android Nougat for our beloved Nexus 7 2013.
This is, again, a fork of @DevSwift1's original AOSP port (http://forum.xda-developers.com/nexus-7-2013/orig-development/p-aosp-n-7-0-google-shame-t3448008), for totally different reasons. This time because he is MIA and it would be a good idea to update with the October Security Update and beyond.
What works:
Audio
Brightness
GPU Acceleration
Bluetooth
Wifi
NFC
GPS
Location services
Camera and video recording
Video playback
MTP
Sensors
Bugs:
- Play TV and Movies DRM broken (Wildvine)
- poor 1080p video recording quality.
- Can't install Play Games (through Play. May work through opengapps aroma if you pick just that and what is in micro. Maybe one or 2 others) It can be sideloaded.
Change Log:
v0.10.0.1 (Flo only, not applicable to Deb)
- Fixed GPS.
v0.10 (0.8.9999 was "0.9")
- 7.1.1_r4, including December Security Patches (except items in the kernel)
v0.8.999
- Partial Nov Security Update. (Everything but the kernel)
v0.8.1
- Fix for CVEs: 2016-5195, 2016-5340, 2016-7117, 2016-3903, 2016-3934
- That should address all of applicable kernel patches from the Oct Security Update plus Dirty Cow.
v0.8
- Update to 7.1.0_r4 complete, and apparently fine. (well, as good as 07.2)
Download:
Flo: 0.10.0.1
Deb: 0.10.0
Old just in case, since 0.10 is a big jump:
Flo: 0.8.9999
Deb: 0.8.9999
Gapps: http://opengapps.org (micro version recommended)
If you have trouble installing Gapps, try rebooting (right back into recovery, not system) between flashing the ROM and Gapps.
Micro is a bit more than just recommended. It is the largest package that will fit in the system partition. This is basically a universal issue with Nougat that can't really be worked around without very risky tweaks to mess with the partition sizes which I'm not even sure are actually possible. (not happening)
You can install smaller packages, or "larger" using a custom config or the Aroma installer. And only slightly "larger" there. That is more useful to pick and choose to find a balance that works for you. You won't fit much more. (I do that on my Moto E which has the same issue.)
Sources: https://github.com/nbehary/manifest (the n-mr1 branch is 0.8. and master is basically untouched and still 0.7.2. I'll make master v0.8 later. )

Two development things to mention:
- right now I'm forking as little of msm8960 as I needed to to apply the security patch. Only platform_frameworks_base and platform_system_core in my repos are current. (platform_build_core may or may not be, but it more or less is and doesn't matter for 99% of anything) I had forked them all before, but the rest aren't up to date. If you'd like to submit pull requests to help in any other repo, msg me first and I'll fork it first. (This will change over time. The manifest is the best guide for which I've updated. If I'm using mine there, it is current)
- I did ignore one of @DevSwift1's commits in system/core, since it was just pulling in my fork of it. No point, except to keep the history intact, but I was lazy. They were the same.
(ETA: oh, 3. The kernel sources are also up to date, and more current than the one in msm8960, even though the commits are backwards. He never merged the CVE patch. )

What I've found not working so far
When I try to add my google account to Google Keep, the app force closes.
When trying to install Google Play Games from the Play Store I get the following error message (see image below).
Device is reported as Google Nexus 7 2012 model when logging in with your Google account.
Other than that ROM is stable and smooth! Love Android 7.0
Great work! :good:
Edit: Installed from scratch (clean install)
Does it matter which version I currently have ?
I'm doing this for the first time, using this tutorial - http://androiding.how/how-to-install-a-custom-rom-using-twrp-recovery/
I tried to install gapps together with ROM, but GAPPS shows: "Incompatible device detected"
I downloaded ARM64 GAPPS
ERROR:

And photo quality is also bad, very grainy..

Troubleshooting
To start android, enter your password
If you got this error message after booting, you need to format (not wipe) data partition twrp.
You will loose all data on internal storage, so please safe it on your computer or any other place!
After format data partition reboot twrp, copy rom and gapps again to phone and flash again.
Now it should boot and work normal without any needed password.
... and please remember your device is now encrypted. If you ever want to flash another ROM you need to make sure it has that capability.

How did you flash the rom?
Do you use any modifications?
As written for me camera working fine after clean flash (coming from lineage-15.1)
Also Wi-Fi Hotspot works, just deactivate W-iFi first.
Its more an workaround, but its working.
Will fix that in next update.

I come from LOS 16 from 2018.11.30 from afh.com with dirty flash. I will try clean flash with wiping all! Thanks for ROM! Will u maintain LOS 16, when it comes official?
Thank you, kernel supports kcal?

Rom: Build with GCC, disabled forceencrypt, update 2nd cpu variant, update default density to 420.
Kernel: include my basickernel which is upstreamed to 4.4.166 (changelog can you find in its thread) just added power button debounce time fix.
What else: upstreamed to latest lineage-15.1 sources with december security patch and some more little under the hood changes.
Next time you can answer the questions yourself quicklier, just look into my sources there you find everything.

Why it should?
With lineage-15.1 aren't any problems unlike in lineage-16.0.

Thanks a lot! Runs all well and smooth as expected. Only just one question: what is it about this "vendor security patch level" still stuck on "May, 1st" this year? Should we have any worries about that?

No not really because its the same as you can find in offical one.
If there was anything to worry about, then you haven't this update but so far its good to go.
As soon as i will find some more free time will update it to an newer one, but as always this needs its time because of the known reasons.

That's fine. Only feature I need from official LOS is OTA updates but I can live without it. Btw, I want to migrate from official build, do I need to wipe vendor partition too?
Its recommended but normaly not needed.
Try it without it should work, since vendor is untouched by me.

How to enable face unlock on this rom ? I already install face unlock module on magisk but it still not show on smart lock. Thanks
Read you need also gravity box (lockscreen tweaks > smart unlock).
But can't say if its true or not, dont using magisk or any other modifications like that.

Going to try this as soon as I get home. Just one thing, should I be worried about burn-in display on this ROM?

does it mean that there is no need to flash "DisableForceEncryption" patch after this ROM if I'm not using encrypted data?
want to update to this ROM from official LOS 15.1 and I'm not sure about encryption

if it's not to much trouble for you, please consider adding the circle battery, like it was in LOS 14
IMHO it's the best battery level presentation
there is a RR (based on LOS) with this option - https://drive.google.com/file/d/1pgNyvPDUb2HjoOEFELO1-BTVBr49h9p4/view
may be it will help you to transfer this feature
