Enable usb tethering on mediapad T5 wifi - Huawei MediaPad T5 Questions & Answers

Hi!
I'm using spacedesk quite a bit with some other tablets, and while it's a bit of a pain with wifi, it's very decent when using an USB connection. Although, to achieve that spacedesk uses USB tethering, and obviously this option is not available on my wifi version of my mediapad T5. Is there any way of enabling USB tethering? Unlocking and rooting this tablet seems like a real hassle.
Thanks!

[Q] compatibility with Nokia and other phones

Hello!
i'd like to ask about compatibility with Nokia and other phones.. can i connect on internet through the phone via bluetooth or usb cable?
thank you for the answer
gb,Primož
It works fine with my european Razr (droid), running Foxfi, and with PDANet on my tablet (not required, but makes connecting easier).
That's over bluetooth, by the way.

[Q] Is it possible to connect Android tablet to wired Internet (ADSL) directly

Hi
I want to connect a HUAWEI MediaPad 7 (ICS 4.0.3 kernal 3.0.8) to wired internet (ADSL) connection through a USB Ethernet adapter, do I need any driver for this or will this work directly? I ordered a USB Ethernet adapter from ebay and currently waiting for it.
I really want a work around for this because I don't want to use Wifi @ home
thanks
Indunil
Why don't you want to use WIFI ?
The success of what you're trying to do seems to depend on the model of the tablet and looks like it can require flashing a custom kernel.
I would just Google your tablet model and "usb ethernet" and see what comes up to see if someone's already done it.

Use LTE phone as USB modem for tablet

Hello,
I know that there are many many WiFi hotspots, and Bluetooth tethering options to use LTE from my phone to provide an internet connection of my tablets. However, running three radios just to get internet on the one device that I want to use seems a little overkill, and not particularly energy-efficient. What I'm looking for is an app, and a USB cable or dongle to connect my LG G3 to my Asus Memo 8 and/or Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 2014ed. That way I am only using one radio (LTE on my phone) to get a data connection to the internet, and the link between my phone and tablets is an efficient USB data connection.
Thanks for any help,
Misha

HELP!! USB Wifi router directly connecting to an android phone.

Hello!
I have a Xiomi Note 3 (SD) Special Edition (Kate). Accidentally I dropped my device and it got broken. I have already replace the display and including to this replacement, everything is going good apart from the Wifi and Bluetooth. I assumed this to be software issue but trying so many tricks from different threads I found it to be a hardware issue at last. Anyway, now my question is as mobile data is not a cost effective solution, so to use this phone in my house using my in-house broadband wifi, can I use a USB wifi adapter/router (Xiaomi mini USB Router) to be connected via OTG cable as an alternative to my phone's non working wifi?

You can probably use a USB dongle that has WiFi and Bluetooth capability, similar to this:
https://m.alibaba.com/product/60571...ni.html?spm=a2706.7843667.1998817009.7.zTQNFa
You will need an OTG adapter but your device has to have the hardware and software to support OTG. I've used these on PC but not sure how it's used on android so there may be compatibility issues depending on the types of devices that the dongle supports.
If your home WiFi router has a 5Ghz network then you'll need a dongle that supports dual band, otherwise you won't be able to connect to 5Ghz, you'll have to use a 2.4Ghz network.

No ethernet or USB tethering working via Asus routers

Coming from a ZForce edition to the Z4 now that VZW has no stock to warranty swap devices anymore.
I use the USB tethering as well as USB to Ethernet adapter tethering to routers all the time as I work on the road.
My main travel router is a Asus AC68U. I have never had a problem android tethering via USB or USBC>Ethernet Belkin adapter for well over 3 years.
I am at a loss as to why it isn't working with this new Moto Z4 phone. When I use my S21 with latest fw, same android version, the router sees the phone connect over USB but that's all it does. No RNDIS established at all. Not sure why or how to fix it.
