I have one of many LG G7 "unlocked" phones that began life as a Sprint phone and (presumably) the ebay seller flashed it with unlocked firmware. It shows no serial number, won't get OTA updates, and won't get fastboot (have to update it with LGUP and the phone's "download mode").
Might one of the many others with this crossflashed phone have some insight on how to install this Evolution X ROM onto this phone? Thanks!

No vowifi and volte not supported on custom roms for lge

gosh, this ROM is pretty sick... thank you for you work!

How is the sound(loudspeaker)? In los17 there is looseness and sound level was very low.

Hello, and thank you again for the work. I have a problem, following the flash of the dtbo file
( C:\adb>fastboot flash dtbo dtbo.img
target reported max download size of 536870912 bytes
sending 'dtbo' (8192 KB)...
OKAY [ 0.232s]
writing 'dtbo'...
FAILED (remote: Cannot flash this partition in unlocked state)
finished. total time: 0.239s. )
Impossible to redo an unlock either , same error
However, my bootloader is unlocked, and the root is active.
I had my phone bricked a short time ago, and they unbrick it from a distance. Was there a problem at this time ?
Thank you, sorry for my english

Hey, I would like to ask you about the recovery as well. I tried to use standard temporary recovery, but I am not able to use it since I flashed this ROM.
So using this is mandatory for this ROM?
fastboot flash boot boot.img
fastboot flash dbto dtbo.img
Thank you

Rom Installation
Before You Start:
Backup EVERYTHING you want to save from internal storage.
• For file integrity, please verify the MD5 checksum of your rom download matches the posted MD5. Copy the downloaded rom.zip file to storage.
This can be internal or external OTG storage device since the TWRP recovery provided in Stage 2 will read from OTG storage.
Stage 1:
** Skip to STAGE 2 if OEM Unlock has already been done **
Preparing the stock rom
** This is REQUIRED
• In the stock rom, turn on developer mode, enable USB debugging and OEM Unlock
• Settings>>>about device>>> scroll to bottom and tap build number 8 times
now press back button once and tap developer options...
• Toggle on both USB debugging and OEM Unlock.
[WARNING] Do not EVER turn these off or your phone will not boot and you will be forced to reflash back to factory build with odin.
Stage 2:
** Skip to STAGE 3 if already running a custom recovery / TWRP, Philz, Etc **
Install TWRP Custom Recovery with Odin
• Download Odin & custom recovery tar
Odin for download mode
twrp-3.1.0-0-nobleltespr.tar.md5
A link to the zip if anyone needs it: twrp-3.1.0-0-nobleltespr.zip (cannot be flashed with odin)
• Extract Odin zip-file
• Power down the phone
• Open Odin on pc
• Boot phone in Download Mode (press and hold Home + Power + Volume Down buttons)
• Connect phone and wait until you get a blue sign in Odin
• Add the recovery file to AP / PDA (depending on version of Odin)
• Make sure re-partition & Auto Reboot are NOT ticked
• Click the start button and let the Odin flash complete
Stage 3:
• Boot the phone into Recovery Mode
- Press and hold volume down+power to reboot and as soon as the phone screen flashes, press and hold Home+Power+Volume Up buttons
to get into recovery. The timing has to be right but I'm sure you'll get the hang of it.
• If TWRP asks, the answer is yes, swipe to allow modifications. It will only ask you this once.
• Do a FULL wipe but do not reboot yet (wipe/advanced wipe)
A full wipe includes:
Dalvik Cache
Cache
Data
System
• Flash rom and reboot.
** Custom Roms may take about 10 minutes to get to the setup screen, so be patient.
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Known Issues:
Code:
• Some themes may crash UI, see Post #3 for help.
• Not all Edge features work on our phone
• Left & Center statusbar clock do not hide on the lockscreen
• The custom Lockscreen Clock will not display properly with custom themes
Toggle it off with Moar Control
• Stock battery icon does not darken when using a light app
• Audio path panel is not themeable in pulldown
AFAIK, it only appears when an external audio device is connected.
• Custom themes may not display properly in the pulldown notication panel with custom colors enabled.
Utilize the stock colors toggle in Moar Control to use custom theme view.
Switching between custom and stock themes may require a UI reset or reboot to display properly.
• You will trip Knox (NOT THIS ROMS FAULT)
• Flashing stock rom might cause loss of sim/phone unlock (again NOT THIS ROMS FAULT)

================================================
Mini-Bootloaders
These will allow you to flash between 5.1.1 and 6.0x with ease.
Important note:
- You MUST flash the full marshmallow tarball at least once to prepare the phone.
- You MUST match the Bootloader version to your backup, they are not interchangeable. The OK3 firmware will run older versions of 5.1.1 too.
Mini Bootloaders Link
OK3 = 5.1.1
PA2, PC3, PD2, PG1, PH9, PJ2, PL1, QA1 & QB1 = 6.0.1
QC5 & QE1 = 7.0
Warning:
As of firmware PJ2, you will no longer be able to flash back to an older firmware.
In other words, if you are already on PJ2 or newer, you will be blocked from flashing to an earlier build, Odin will just display a failed status.
Use of Mini Bootloaders:
- These do not include the OS and REQUIRE that you have a matching OS backup already saved to restore or a custom rom to flash in recovery
- Flash the bootloader with Odin (same instructions apply as rom flash in Post #1). Make sure you uncheck the auto reboot choice first.
Once the flash is complete unplug the phone, press and hold pwr + volume/down to reboot and as soon as the phone resets, immediately press pwr + home + volume/up to enter custom recovery and restore your backup.
** If you missed the key sequence try again, it takes good timing but I'm sure you'll be a pro at it in no time.

The lockscreen clock took about 12 solid hours of work to accomplish.
Unfortunately, it cannot accept a theme. I'm not sure if I can revert it to stock easily for that. Just mentioning, that's in known issues on the OP by the way.

Wait, you can't Odin through wireless charging port? What gives, Samsung? Lol. :silly:

Yes bro I'm about to get this right now thanks a lot you're the best
aroma keeps saying it can mount system.
i mount it manually in twrp still same thing weird thing is script finishes succeeded but when i try to reboot twrp no os is installed
NM i just did a advanced wipe and left previous sys alone now it installed
Does anyone have the issue of it hanging on the Samsung Galaxy Note 5 splash screen a long time before the boot animation starts?
rom is flawless for me! clean install and smooth as butter! wife is still running stock never been rooted on hers....maybe she will change her mind and let me root hers and give her MOAR awesomeness. thanks!!!

Disclaimer:
We are NOT responsible for anything that may happen to your device as a result of flashing ROMs, kernels, or installing any other mod. You are responsible for your own actions and bad decisions - so stop blaming others!
This is a user friendly thread. Please be respectful and courteous to other users. While feature requests will be considered, AquariOS tries to maintain a ROM that is smooth and stable, so adding every feature under the sun is not the plan here.
READ!1. Unless I tell you otherwise, you MUST always, absolutely, positively, most certainly wipe data AND system before flashing AquariOS...without a doubt!
2. Don't report bugs if you haven't followed directions - most likely it's user error at that point as far as I'm concerned.
3. Always run a backup before doing anything.
4. Provide a log when reporting a bug (see more info below).
5. Be respectful.

There are lot of roms with lot of repeated features in each & every rom ... No uniqness ...Falcon has only 1 gb RAM .it even cant handle substratum after installing some apps ... I think for falcon there must be a ROM with good RAM Management with some selected and unique features and no more....

I've had this phone for like 4 years. Roms now have better ram management than when we first saw custom roms for this thing. It can't get much better if any, without more ram. I have a Motorola E Surnia also with the same amount of ram. You can only expect a device with these specs to do just so much. It's well known by now that certain apps just don't work well on low ram devices and you should expect that no matter what rom your trying to use them on. It's also well known by now that sometimes you need to choose between themeing and using your favorite resource hungry apps. Lastly, with all the features this rom has, it runs pretty smooth on Falcon and Surnia.

Did you try to reflash the recovery with fastboot? Do you have the latest up to date recovery installed? I'm not sure it has anything to do with the rom?

Thanks for the reply. I am able to connect via adb and the device can be detected when the phone is turned on and also when I go into recovery. But it is not detected when I go into Bootloader menu using "adb reboot bootloader".
What can i do next? How do I flash a recovery or a ROM? Please help me with this as I am not familiar with flashing using adb.

first of all that is not the last version of TWRP, but anyway in my opinion your screen is broken.
the only way to find out is flashing another rom via adb. if you don't know how to do it use the Search button or Google to get the info you need.

FAQ:
Before using the ROM:
Q. Can I have an ETA for the next build?
A. Yes, just look in the OP to see if your device is built on a nightly or weekly schedule.
Q. Does this ROM support custom kernels?
A. No. You can still use them, but discussion should go in the thread of the respective kernel. We don't offer support for bugs you might encounter while using them!
Q. Why doesn't this ROM support Xposed?
A. Xposed is a hack that is geared towards AOSP, custom ROM's modify the framework a lot, so Xposed can cause a ton of issues on custom ROM's. Now it might work for you, however it is not to be discussed in this thread, and you should refrain from posting bug reports.
Q. Alright, but I still want to flash Xposed, so which version do I need to install?
A. You will need to use the version arm64/arm/whatever for SDK 27.
Flashing the ROM:
Q. What do I need to know before flashing?
A. Check the install instructions in the first post...
Q. Can the builds be dirty flashed over each other?
A. Yes, however make a nandroid backup first as there is a chance of getting a bootloop or encountering bugs. Also bugs may only be reported on a clean flash.
Q. How do I dirty flash builds?
A. Wipe the System, Cache and ART/Dalvik cache. Flash the ROM, GApps (only needed if you wipe the system), your preferred root solution and reboot. Or just use the OTA app to preform that task for you.
Q. How do I flash kernel builds?
A1. If it's a .img file, boot into TWRP and go to the install page in TWRP, in the bottom right corner select "install image", select the desired kernel, then select "boot", then swipe to flash, then go back to the install screen and install your root method again, if you don't want to loose root and reboot.
A2. If it's a flashable ZIP, you can flash it together with a ROM update or separately. Go to the install page in TWRP, choose the kernel zip (or add it to the flash queue right after the ROM zip). Then add your root method to the queue if you don't want to loose root. Now swipe to flash, and then reboot.
Using the ROM:
Q. I installed a bad theme and now I'm getting a bootloop, how do I fix it?
A. In TWRP, flash the substratum rescue zip that's in the substratum folder on the internal storage.
Q. Do I need to provide a logcat if I'm reporting a bug?
A. If you want it to be fixed faster (or at all) then yes, you should definitely provide a logcat. (Note: Please just link the logcat from your GDrive, Dropbox, etc. and do not post the content here. Thanks.
Q. How do I get a logcat, what type should I get and more questions that can conveniently be answered by my pre-determined answer?
A1. Read this thoroughly. Also, here's a good app for getting logs: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.tortel.syslog (Root needed).
The ROM should contain everything you need to enjoy Android. You don't need to install any Add-on's, simply download the latest ROM, GApps, flash it and go!
If you want the device to run the ROM "rooted", you can flash a root solution of your choice after the ROM Zipfile.
It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
- Backup your personal data (Important)
- Download the ROM and GApps and transfer them to your device.
- Boot to recovery (TWRP recommended).
- Wipe the System, Cache, Data and ART/Dalvik cache.
- Flash the ROM + Gapps Zipfile.
- Flash the root solution of your choice (optional).
- Reboot your device.
The ROM has GApps persistence in between dirty flashes, so you only have to flash them once!
The root solution should be flashed together with every update (= ROM Update)
Currently Supported Root Solutions:
Magisk stable
Magisk versions higher than 14.0 doesn't require flash on every dirty flash depending on the device, some devices need you to flash it every time, unless your maintainer says otherwise it should be fine
ROM: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?w=files&flid=314931
GApps:
Unofficial OpenGApps

Bit of an old thread but here goes....
I managed to install this on my Galaxy Note 10 (SM-N970F) and everything runs fine. My issue is updating Magisk from v22.1 to current latest (22.3). I've tried flashing through recovery (TWRP), tried Magisk's "direct install", with no luck. Just endless bootloops.
Anybody know what I'm doing wrong and can point me in the right direction plz
PS: To the Dev, nice job with the Rom, & thank you!
Hello.
Wanted to know if this works on the dual Sim version of the Note 10 SM-N970F/DS?

If you are updating Magisk through the app's update function (I think that's what you're saying but correct me if I'm wrong) you will certainly get boot loops. Magisk has to be patched for the specific phone model first.
Hi there, thanks for the reply. Yes your correct I have been trying to update it through ",Magisk's update" function an your correct about the endless bootĺoops.
To make things clear, this ROM has magisk installed I think it's called "systemlessly" automatically when you flash the ROM. I've been trying to update unsuccessfully lol.... When you talk of "patching magisk" could you explain or link me to some instructions on how to do this? I've looked at various guides on this forum but I'm unsure which method applies to me an my situation....
Regards.....
OK then, after bit of trial and error I finally ģot it sorted. What worked for me was opening up Magisk app (latest) and hitting update tab, then selecting "patch a file". I then selected a TWRP backup (recovery.win) .Magisk patches it and saves the output file in "Downloads"
Then I reboot phone into TWRP, Hit Install, click on Image, select the patched file from Downloads where Magisk saved it to. When TWRP asks what section you want to flash ot too (ie:boot,recovery,system etc) I selected Recovery. After it's flashed, reboot to System. Presto, Magisk is updated to 23.0. It also allows you to now update Riru to latest version now (26.1.1)
My boot time seems to be a little longer but it works
PS: to get Safteynet pass working I downloaded "safteynetfix 1.20" which I found thread about here on XDA.
Thank you for the info I found here & from other members
To which directory does the rom end up? I can't seem to find it. I downloaded it with my browser

A special thanks to @EmanuelCN for work hardly on Device Tree, Kernel and Recovery, without it this Rom wouldn't be possible.
What is BlazeOS?Blaze is unique from other android 12 ROMs - Remember how Google changed the whole way the QuickSettings panel looked? Well, if you liked those smaller, round Quick Settings tiles from previous android versions which look much cleaner while also retaining the goodness of the MaterialYou theming system - then BlazeOS is for you. BlazeOS is also a customization feature rich ROM where you can tweak the UI according to your needs. It also has some interesting extras like the all new GameSpace, colored statusbar icons, UDFPS customizations, clear all notifications button, and a ton more!!
KNOW ISSUES- VoLTE (Will never work on custom roms on LG phones).
- 10 bit video recording (Watching content in 10 bit works, you just cant record video in 10 bit format).
- You tell me!

INSTALLATION
QUICK FASTBOOT-DRIVER GUIDE INSTALLATION:How to install:
1. Extract the fastboot-driver.zip.
2. Open device manager
3. Click right on " Android " it should have a yellow warning icon, press on update driver
4. Select browse my computer then press on let me pick from a list of available drivers
5. Press on Have disk and then go to where you have extracted the zip file and select android_winusb.inf
6. Done.
IF YOU FACE SOME FASTBOOT ISSUES DOWNLOAD FIX-FASTBOOT ZIP :Instructions: Copy it in main directory (usually in C: drive) and run it as administrator, problem solved.
ORANGEFOX GUIDE:If you have acces to fastboot, download fastboot-driver.zip and fastboot-tools.zip for the tools necessary to boot ofox.
Open the CMD and use the following command to boot ofox:
fastboot boot ofox-metadata.img
If you don't have access to fastboot, enter in 9008 mode, open qfil and load ofox image on boot_a and boot_b then force reboot (hold volume - and power button for 10s), after it reboots it will get you automatly in ofox.
DISCLAIMER FLASHING OFOX IN QFIL WILL LEAD IN YOUR ROM NOT BOOTING AS LG G7 IS AN A/B DEVICE WHICH MEANS IT DOESN'T HAVE A RECOVERY PARTITION, BOOT IMAGE IS MANDATORY FOR YOUR PHONE TO BOOT, FLASHING OFOX USING QFIL ITS ONLY FOR YOU TO BE ABLE TO FLASH A CUSTOM ROM AS IT OVERWRITES THE BOOT IMAGE WITH THE CERTAIN ROM'S ONE.
NOTE: It is STRONGLY recommended to fully wipe your device before flashing and please avoid restoring system apps and system data with Titanium Backup (or with any backup/restore app) as this can cause stability issues that are very hard to debug, restoring regular apps is fine.
If you believe you know what you're doing - then fine, go ahead, but please don't complain if you experience any strange behavior.
CLEAN FLASH:1. Boot in OFOX metadata;
2. Format Data (Press on the recycle bin icon —-> format data ——> type yes);
3. FROM HERE YOU CAN CHOOSE BETWEEN 2 METHODS TO FLASH:
3.1. USING ADB SIDELOAD:3.1.1. Press on "back" and flash the rom using adb sideload (Go to 3 lines in the bottom right corner, choose "ADB Sideload", Then "Swipe-->", open the cmd from adb tools folder in computer, then type "adb sideload", hit "Enter", then < drag and drop the zip over the cmd>);3.1.2. Flash ofox zip the same way through adb sideload, it will automatically reboot to ofox after flashing is done;3.1.3. Flash gapps; (Only if the rom does not contain gapps);3.1.4. Flash magisk (Optional);
3.2. OR IF YOU HAVE A MICROSD CARD, YOU CAN FOLLOW THIS:3.2.1. Move the rom and ofox, and gapps(if you will use) zip file into your microsdcard;3.2.2. Press on "/sdcard" area and choose "Micro SDCard", navigate straight into your rom zip file, then press on it, then "swipe ---->", it will start flashing it;3.2.3. After flash the rom, locate your ofox zip file and flash it as you did with the rom;3.2.4. Flash gapps; (If you want);3.2.5. Flash Magisk (Optional);
4. Change filesystem to f2fs (Go to 3 lines in bottom right corner ----> manage partitions ----> select data -----> change fs ------> f2fs);
5. Reboot.
Upgrading to a Newer Build (DIRTY FLASH)• Boot in OFOX metadata;
• Flash the rom zip;
• Flash ofox zip, it will automatically reboot the phone to ofox after the flashing is done;
• Flash gapps (ONLY IF THE ROM IS WITH GAPPS ALREADY, MAKE SURE TO FLASH THE SAME ONE);
• Flash magisk (Optional);

Is there a chance of a 'black' dark theme coming?

A black theme was added to v2.1(as per the 2.1 changelogs). The Old QS style is probably the main reason I'm going for this ROM and the customizations are fun to tweak. Hopefully dirty flashing wont have any issues
Thank you so much for this amazing ROM! I was wondering, does this have a face unlock feature?
