[M5 lite 10.1] Update to BAH2-W19 8.0.0.256(OCEC431) with unlocked bootloader - Huawei MediaPad M5 Lite Guides, News, & Discussion

Anyone has had success with it? After updating I get TWRP, and after restarting I get an "update failed" notification.

I've updated the LTE version, but only rooted : no TWRP.
No problem at all.

wrong device. This comment was for the Lenovo YT-703

[Q] Stock Nexus 5 with Android 4.4.4 produces a Status 7 error with the OTA update

Hello,
my Dad has a Nexus 5 from Google Play. The phone wasn't and isn't rooted/unlocked. All updates are installed when they come "over the air" to the phone. So the Lollipop OTA update comes and he let it install on the phone but the update didn't work. During the system check it says "/system/lib/libnfc_nci_jni.so has unexpected contents" and "Status 7" and "Error in /tmp/update.zip". But this could not be. It's all stock and nothing is changed on the phone (no root, unlocked).
So I tried to fastboot sideload the OTA update. But this gives me the same error.
The phone data:
Android-Version: 4.4.4
Baseband: M8974-A-2.0.50.1.16
Kernel: 3.4.0-gd59db4e
Build-Version: KTU84P
I used the "5.0 LRX21O-from-4.4.4 KTU84P" OTA file from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/google-nexus-5/general/info-nexus-5-ota-help-desk-t2523217
What's wrong? How can this file have been changed without root? Or is the system check wrong? Can I somehow fix this without unlocking the phone (loosing the data would be only the last option if nothing else works)?
Thanks

As per the error, '/system/lib/libnfc_nci_jni.so' isn't the stock file so it's been changed somehow or is corrupt. That or the OTA file is corrupt so double-check the md5 and try again
Thanks for your answer. But how can a file be changed or get corrupt if there is no acccess to it for the user? But let's go this way ... the file is changed or corrupt. How can I fix this?
I read that flashing the 4.4.4 system.img could possibly fix this problem. But flashing a *.img with fastboot works only with a unlocked bootloader.
Would this way work to boot into TWRP with a locked bootloader?
fastboot boot recovery.img

So maybe booting into TWRP with this fastboot command and then flashing the 4.4.4 system.img. But I don't know if this will work.
Or is there a way to replace a system file with fastboot or adb when the bootloader is locked?
I won't have access to the phone until monday so I'm collecting all possible solutions.

Can't Update renovate firmware

Hey guys,
Hopefully someone can help me with my problem. So i did the following:
To get rid of the 7 day Block of oem-unlocking on my s8+ i downgraded back to Nougat. From here on I flashed TWRP + rooted my device with magisk. After That i flashed the RENOVATE_ICE_G95X-7.5 rom + the Flashable_G95xF_FD_Firmware_TWRP_AQL5_r8 Firmware. I've let my Phone start up and went back to TWRP To Update the rom to RENOVATE_ICE_G95X-10.1. To this point everything Worked fine, the Phone Boots completely fine. Now to my problem: im Sitting on the actual stable rom but with the Baseband-version of Nougat which is AQL5. When i try to Flash the actual Firmware (CRC7 or CRD7) via TWRP my Phone gets stuck on the first Samsung Logo and Shows the following red Message: "Only official released binaries are allowed to be flashed". I would be glad for any help.
If you can find a standalone modem file from the ROM you mentioned you should be able to flash it in TWRP recovery. Last time I did this was on a Note 3. I think that the process should be the same with S8.
Can't seem to find one, but i found out that the same error occurs when installing other custom-roms like the King Oreo Rom which installs the newest Bootloader and Modem via Aroma installer. Only solution after that is to Flash Nougat again via Odin.

[NXT-L29C636B103]Updated to NRD90M test-keys and don't know how to get back

Hello,
I recently found FirmwareFinder and tried it out. I found a Nougat Rom for my System NXT-L29C636B103 and installed it. I read the changelog before but it wasn't marked as beta.
Also it wasn't named NRD90M in FF.
I know tried to get back with dload and HiSuit and FF (Because the rom doenst have a update program...) but it wont work.
I don't have a Unlocked Bootloader or Root, atleast i don't know how to unlock it. But I would love to get Root with Magisk or something^^
EDIT: It seems that my bootloader is unlocked. I checked with fastbooot oem get-bootinfo and get "(bootloader) unlocked" as result.
Didnt knew because i bought the phone from a friend
I hope someone can help me..
Greetings

Hi.
Firstly, you should get the Huawei id details from your friend and the bootloader code.
Secondly, flash TWRP recovery and flash original Huawei rom.
Hey,
I have a working unlock Code now.
I used the huawei official Rollback FW C900B500 and flashed it. After this I flashed C432B192 to get OTA Updates in Germany. But now I'm in C900B192 and can't get OTA updates. I Tried to get B582 with FF but get an Error at Installation because of incompatibality with my System.
Amy ideas what i can do next? :/

[Troubleshooting] Stuck at "your device is booting"... after Magisk and DM-Verify update

Greetings Everyone.
Am facing a problem with my 6X .. yesterday (and I don't know why) updated Magisk to the latest version and am not sure why I checked the DM-Verify option.
the phone rebooted and stuck with "your device is booting..".
I think it's something related to userdata and system encryption.
I can enter eRecovery and Fastboot,
am unable to flash anything due to FRP lock.
Am running debranded GR5 2017 to BLN 6x
OS is Oreo 8.0.0.510 (C675)
The bootloader is Unlocked.
am in thankful to everyone who will help.
Edit :
I can enter TWRP recovery (I think it still exists since debranding to BLN 6X).
Edit 15/02/2022:
I was able to fix my device by doing Board Factory Method Link, Then I did FRP by test points, after that flash using SDCard the EMUI 4.1 and EMUI 5 Firmware reaching official Nought firmware, last but not least, I did rebranding using this method Link and updated to Oreo 8.0.0.510.
now am facing a bit of lagging or slowness in the firmware while doing stuff. I think am going to update to firmware version 520 to see if the problem exists.

Question Can't install Update

I am on Version IV2201_11_A.9.
I can download the newe IV2201_11_A.11, but when i try to install it after the phone reboots i get the error message "Confirmation problem".
Also i cant install the A.10 version because there is no local update posibility.
So has anyone an idea to fix this.
I can work with adb and fastboot and my bootloader is Unlocked.
Sounds like you are trying to install the wrong software version for your model, or have the wrong OTA package for your current build. I received the same error when trying to install the A.12 OTA intended for the Indian variant on my unit, which is running EU software. The EU OTA zip installed no problem, A.10 to A.11. Latest for EU seems to be A.11 for now.
Try going sequentially from A.09.to A.10 if no model mismatch.
@onslaught86 hey! facing the same issue!
running A.09 indian variant. But still cant update. Also, I have theA.11 patch, can't find the A.10
Any help please?
