Flashtool issue when trying to update to Android 10 (no flash script error) - Sony Xperia 5 Questions & Answers

Hello
I keep getting the "no flash script found..." error when trying to flash.
I have found NO solutions to this on Xperia 5.
IS there any alternative way to flash android 10 besides flashtool?
Anyone had any success with flashtool/solution to this error?
THANKS!

I know, I tried renaming the files and renaming the commands, same thing happened, any advice to flash it correctly ?
Try download the rom again probably its corrupted, and try to place it in desktop folder before flash, not in very long rpute paths or in external drives with different filesystem. I had many problems hard to spot becaise managing files from windows accessing reiserfs drives.

Nexus 5 flash write error & failed to mount /cache

Hi friends,
My Nexus 5 running hammerhead 6.0.0 MRA58K is stuck in bootloop. Ive gone through most of the suggestions I've found and tried to use them to no avail. The phone is able to boot into fastboot and I am able to issue commands. I have tried unlocking the bootloader, but once I restart the phone, it doesnt stay locked. I get specifically 2 errors in recovery; e:/ failed to mount /cache, and also flash write failure when trying to fastboot flash from my laptop. Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!

Can't go after twrp

Hi,
I have a problem with my r7plusf.
I tried to install lineageOs, with the CM recovery I just got a "zip signature verification" problem. To avoid this problem i flashed TWRP and tried installing it without checking the zip signature. When doing that i got a "table error".
I try to reflash back the rom I had and now I am in trouble :
when i flash it it boots on TWRP instead of the rom.
I tried installing the colorOs recovery and it did not work (I just saw a message telling me "formating data and cache")
/*And now twrp is always telling me "can't mount /data".*/
I resolved this problem by formating the data partition
Does anyone know what i can do to reuse my phone?
Thank you by advance for all the help you could give me.
Little update :
I tried to build lineageOS by hand with this link : https://wiki.lineageos.org/r7plus_build.html to see if there was the cyanogenmod/lineage recovery included but when I try to brunch, I just get this error :
Code:
"ninja: error: '/home/user/android/system/out/target/product/r7plus/obj_arm/SHARED_LIBRARIES/libtime_genoff_intermediates/export_includes', needed by '/home/user/android/system/out/target/product/r7plus/obj_arm/SHARED_LIBRARIES/libandroid_servers_intermediates/import_includes', missing and no known rule to make it"
After looking at the files I just saw that the folder named "obj_arm" does not exists. For info Iam on archlinux whith linux kernel version 4.9.6-1 and I have GCC 6.3.1 .
Does anyone know how to solve this bug or has anyone got the cyanogenmod recovery?
UPDATE : I tried with the cyanogenmod recovery that someone gave to me and it didn't work either, the phone still boots on the recovery. I don't have anymore ideas anymore
Some one oppo forum just gave me the way to save my phone, i just had to boot in fastboot mode, plug the phone in my computer, open a command prompt and type the command "fastboot continue", everything just work fine now.

updater process error 4.

Hey guys I have a nexus 7 2012 which is soft bricked, I try to perform flash through fastboot and the invalid state error pops up. When I try to sideload updater process error:4 pops up please help me. I am stuck here.
what would be the best way to restore the device now?
Hi !
This is related to a bootloader failure .
First be sure that you have the latest ADB and fastboot drivers , use this one https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
Now try to flash a different factory image , have a look here https://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=2317790
Good luck !

Honor 8 impossibility to install stock ROM

Hello everyone !
I need some help because I am stuck with an Honor 8 that is not working. I have tried to install AOSP 8.0 [Open Kirin] and maybe I have done something wrong. Indeed, after flashing AOSP the device will be able to boot and start on it but Wi-Fi, SMS and GAPPS cannot work. So I need your help because I have tried all methods in order to install & flash the stock ROM i.e. dload + 3 buttons on start result : the installation stucked at 5% and Huawei eRecovery result : Getting software info. from server failed.
I have already flash BOOT.img, SYSTEM.img and RECOVERY.img but I cannot access to recovery i.e. start+ vol. + and with fastboot flash I cannot flash CUST.img and my computer says : failed not have the right permissions to write on this partition, something like that. I do not know if it has importance but I have already erase all with TWRP and in addition, erase calendar stockage when my devices worked properly. So what I needed is a 100% stock device on EMUI with maybe things that I have erased and I do not know what is.
Thanks for reading and helping
My devices :
- Honor 8 FRD-L09
- SD Card Sandisk 64 Go
- USB-C cable
- A computer under Ubuntu 18.04 with adb and fastboot commands installed
Ok so.. Since you said you've flashed boot and recovery, all you need to do is a dload install. There's a guide on xda here. As far as the aosp, I know it works because I ran it for months on mine. Seems you made an error somewhere in the installation process, but that's besides the point. Do a quick search for the dload installation method and follow it to a point and you should get back to stock no problem
Ok I will try one more time but I have already done this method and it stuck at 5%...
Thanks for reply
EDIT: Ok the dload method fonctionnated, in fact to install stock ROM we need first to install firmware package and then install vendor package.
Thanks, subject close.
