UFS 2.1 or UFS 3.0? - Sony Xperia 5 Questions & Answers

Can anyone comfirm whether Xperia 5 has UFS 2.1 or UFS 3.0?
In their official blog, they says it's UFS 3.0
https://blogs.sonymobile.com/de/2019/09/05/sony-mobile-auf-der-ifa-2019/
"Die technische Basis bilden ein Snapdragon 855 Prozessor, Android 9 (Pie), 6 GB RAM sowie 128 GB interner UFS 3.0 Speicher. Gorilla Glas 6 von Corning schützt Vorder- und Rückseite zuverlässig."
But in official forum, they says they can't answer to the question.
https://talk.sonymobile.com/t5/Xperia-5/UFS-2-1-or-UFS-3-0/m-p/1388440
And some memory benchmark shows speed of UFS2.1.
It's not that UFS 2.1 is deal-breaker but as much as I'd like to know about UFS type, I just want to know why sony doesn't answer to the question which answer is publicly posted on their official blog.

[Discussion] MediaPad M5 (10.8) Pro ~ Benchmarks

Hi Folks,
I received my MediaPad M5 (10.8) Pro 1.5 weeks ago and ran some benchmarks on it.
The Pro Edition comes with a Kirin 960, instead of the Kirin 960S build into the standard variants, and thus runs at 4x2.4GHz & 4x1.8GHz. In addition I got the variant running at 4GB RAM and 64GB of internal eMMC 5.1 storage.
I ran a Geekbanch 4 and as well an Antutu V7 Benchmark resulting in:
GEEKBENCH
1869 Single-Core
6394 Multi-Core
ANTUTU
182745
Both scores are very similar to last year's HTC flagship device U11, powered by a Snapdragon 835, 4GB RAM, as well as 64GB of internal UFS 2.1 storage.
Fell free to post your own screenshots and results and discuss them around here.
I just ran these tests after the update but haven't done them before. I'd say pretty similar results. (Using the pro as well)
That's great. So performance is on par with the out if the box results. Pretty much what I'd expect as the update only brought security patches and DRM L1.

512 GB vs 128 GB model performance?

So I know with solid state drives, larger capacities in general are faster and longer lasting than lower capacities. Obviously, we can't test this yet on the Note 20 Ultra but would the 512 GB have any noticable benefit over the 128 GB?
16 GB RAM would have sweetened the deal but I guess we can't have it all.
Not sure, I only ordered 1 phone so I have no way to test it side by side. But I know a 1TB MicroSDXC card is going in it

I doubt there is going to be a performance difference considering they are the same UFS 3.1 tech just different capacity, however the OS is taking up the same space and running same speed.
As for 12gb of ram vs 16gb. I really doubt you could tell the difference

GSMarena has updated the storage specification from UFS 3.1 to UFS 3.0, does anyone have any benchmarks on the storage ?

Wow so basically it's an S20 ultra with a pen, overclocked 865 and 4GB less RAM.
512GB should "theoretically" be faster than 128GB version just based on how flash memory is arranged. But that is storage only and shouldn't really matter to everyday use I suppose. It's all speculative at this point until we have the devices in our hands though.
I remember how much better the S10 5G was than the S10+ just based on the bigger size. I hope the Note 20 Ultra is the same. I much prefer the squared off shape though.

Same SSD rules will apply here. 512GB will be faster (not noticeable in normal use tho) and will have longer endurance for write cycles. See this snapshot someone uploaded on reddit that clearly states the differences in speed
Not sure if this applies here but has anyone bought Samsung UFS card for external storage and or if it's compatible

ram and ufs version?

Is the ram LPDDR4 or LPDDR5?
Is the storage UFS 3.1?
Xperia 1 II has LPDDR5 and UFS 3.0. This may have UFS 3.1 considering they also upgraded the screen to 120Hz. I'd expect the specs to be the same or better than the 1 II as it's just a smaller FHD+ version.

Wikipedia has listed as LPDDR4X so I am asking around, did they really decide to cut corners here, hope not since they are also advertising as game phone too.
Does UFS 3.1 against 3.0 matter in any application? No...
It's UFS 3.0 https://www.sony.com/electronics/support/mobile-phones-tablets-mobile-phones/xperia-1-ii/articles/00246376
I have the phone, It has UFS 3.0 and LPDDR5 ram.

Question s22 ultra 16 gb ram version?!

hello everyone,
can someone confirm if a 16 gb ram exynos or snapdragon really exist ??!
No there is not any version with 16gb RAM
Looks like a sticker added on top
12GB Max
You can increase the RAM through VRAM, but both Exynos and Snapdragon versions are having 12Go of physical RAM in their respective higher configuration's options.
fake

Question ufs

it seems that a53 runs on ufs 2.0. I barely see anyone mentioning this in the reviews. How is this possible in 2022?
