Hey guys,
back when the security exploit CVE-2019-2215 was described i tried the proof of concept for kernel R/W access on security patch for august. But it wouldn't work. Is anyone on a older security patch willing to try when the Root APK is compiled? This might enable us to backup the DRM keys, if someone with a bigger brain than mine looks into it.

There's still a workaround to root actually. I'm not sure what it does, but I'm about to install it now.

Let me know how it goes. I just want the update reminder to go away.
I got the update. It's NI2. Didn't root. Still stock. All I can say is VPN is still broken. So ridiculous.
Very suspicious saying the already in use 4.4.4 allows use of advanced calling 1.0 seems like verizon forgot to kill root and is making another attempt

I still looking without luck...
IMO is probably that C3 is a "new" device and apks such as framaroot and towelroot can not find a weakness in the kernel to get root permissions. I have the same device and I've tried all the exploits and apks to get root, without success

Exacly, i tried many exploit with apk or desktop programs... Without success.
I send a message to the creator of the exploit for Z3, and he tell me he May support this model... So yeah, i'm waiting meanwhile and looking for Another ways to root...

use vndklite
basically it allows you to mess with system files after installing which fixes issues like encryption, not being able to access data in twrp etc etc
