Hey there as we all know custom Rom development for our device is getting momentum and gcam is working fine too so I decided to make a thread to get most out of gcam.

Guide to install and apply same setting :
1) Download the specified gcam version and install it.
2) Now download configuration file too whose link is provided above too.
3) (a) for 1st version :Make a folder "Gcam" in internal storage and create another folder "configs" (make this folder in Gcam folder) and paste here the configurations file you have downloaded.
(b) for 2nd version make "trCamera" folder and "XMLConfigs" folder in it then paste xml here.
4) Now open gcam and tap twice in bottom area of gcam which is empty it will ask to restore configuration file click on it done.

On the last Havoc OS (3.4), this version of Gcam is crashing .... Is it a 64 bits version ? or 32 bits ?
With the GCam on this post , it is ok. I'm using Opti1.xml.
But the front camera has a max resolution to 4MPix, but ont the S2/Y2, it is 16Mpix .... Is it possible to increase it ?

It's 64 bit version and I am using it on havoc os 3.4 (I will provide link for new xml try that). Gcam is using pixel binning therfore the max resolution is 1/4th = 4mp sadly no way to fix that for now.

I Want share the GCAm that is working on my SD660 Device [ARS-AL00]
I tryed Xtreme Developers GCAM.
So download the GCAM and load my GCAM settings.
I dont know if that GCam runs fine on Kyrin.But things i know are that you must disable "Sabre" wich is disabled in my config.
You can see difference in Nightshot with normal vs GCam.
All was working with this settings (NIGHT,FRONTCam,HDR/HDR+,Video ect...)

Just make a Folder Gcam/Configs on your device .Unzip Config from download here XDA.And copy it to GCam/Configs Folder.

My Device isnt Rooted.
So you can try this with your Kirin Device and report . I dont have one !

GCam and Playground for Realme 5 Pro
I started the project thinking if I could run Gcam on Realme 5 Pro which does not have Bootloader unlocking yet.
Then I searched around the internet to find the suitable one for our device. At last I found it( thanks to @Arnova8G2 and BSG) but there are some hiccups.
The camera does work with the cost of lower resolution and not able to use certain feature.
I had to fiddle around with settings to get it working correctly.
Current Bugs are as follows:
Lens bur doesn't save the file.(Crashes after taking Pictures!!)
Slowmotion (Crashes the app!!)
Saturation isn't good as whenever I try to change the saturation for different scenes, it displays the color either saturated or dull in different scenarios.(I think it's Fixed.)
Photobooth doesn't work(Removed)
Max resolution of Rear Camera is 9.0 MP(Increased to 12.0 MP:good
Max resolution of Front Camera is 4.0 MP(The Same as before.)
Installation Process
1. Install GCam.apk
2. Install Google Play Services for AR Core.apk
3. Install Playground.apk
4.Install the Stickers you like.
5. Enjoy.
These are the settings I used to get the most of the GCam:
1. Navigate to Settings and open “BSG MOD Settings”.
2. Enable “Enhanced HDR+ in portrait mode”.
3. Open “Saturation”, change the Highlight and Shadow Saturation to 1.8 and 2.4 for the Back camera. Change the Highlight and Shadow Saturation to 1.2 and 1.8 for the Front camera.

There are both no fix buff and normal one, which one to download

No. I'm just a Tech geek who tries to unlock bootloader, root, install custom rom, kernel, in app billing and proxy for his device to reach maximum performance that the hardware can support. I don't develop anything though.

gcam app not installing on my device
via your link i installed gcam app on my device realme 5 pro. but whenever i want to install, it is not installing.
First ensure, there are no other/old versions of Gcam already installed in phone (though some versions allow you to install multiple gcams). Remove older versions and install the new one.
There is a purple tint in all the photos....

on realme 5 pro
when i installed it it shows application not installed
please suggest me a better option...
Uninstall any gcam version you might have earlier installed then install the 7.0 version. It will work.

Solution:
Go to gcam app info, select storage usage and then select clear data.
FYI:
none of the gcam ports slow motion works.

its worked, ty, clearing data fixed the crash at start.
yeah i have seen anothe topic with v 7.x gcam and still crash on slow mo

Hey guys, since enabling GCAM on the most recent official ROMs was a bit problematic for most, I thought it would be better to have a new thread as we don't have one specifically for MIUI12/Android 10 yet, and with this thread you don't have to scroll through all comments to find the solution.

As I use the xiaomi.eu MIUI12 beta rom, I went for this enabler: Miui 11-12 Gcam Enabler.zip (flash with Magisk)
The Gcam version that worked immediately for me is this one: MGC_6.2.030_Bulkin043_V5TR.apk
[Known issues]
MIUI camera breaks, Whatsapp web QR code scanner breaks (but regular Whatsapp camera works!)
Also good to know: If HDR processing takes forever, look into the settings, there's one that should prevent infinite processing.
If anyone thinks that he found the best Gcam mod for our device tell us which one so I can add it to this post!

How to:
After flashing "Miui 11-12 Gcam Enabler.zip" by Magisk, I installed "GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v2.1.apk" and imported the config of Xiaomi Poco F1.
I also tried "F1v9.6_6.2.030.apk", it worked perfectly too.
Known issue:
Stock camera breaks.

This GCam is tested on Redmi Note 8 without root, without unlocking bootloader, no custom roms , no system settings , latest MiUi version 11; based on Android 9 PIE ?
What is not working
1. Macro ,
2. 48MP camera,
3. Portrait mode will work if Android version is 10

You are several months late. And you dont need any fixes, you install Gcam and apply .xml which is a config for the Gcam.

Hi, For those with the POCO X3 Pro, what is the best GCam that is currently available to use - most stable, with better quality, etc.... I have tested some GCams from X3 NFC, but is a shot in the dark - some work, but i think is room to improve...

the zip file contain changes to vendor which then enable them for the android
not just a typical xml config file for gcam
xml config just work with what is enabled
though the only problem with the zip is that it won't survive ota and gotta reflash everytime

DON'T install this its broken. You should really delete the thread, your zip is pointless and it breaks 4k video. After enabling 4k video I get this message "Couldn't record video. Leave video mode and try again." and the screen is black. Tried disabling stabilization and forced 60fps, but its the same.
Any chance you can provide the original files your zip changed in system and vendor?

would it be working on Elixir? i installed it and i absolutely love A12. would like to know what needs to be checked to consider it working stably on A12?
