[REFERENCE] Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e Theming & Mods - Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e Themes, Apps, and Mods

This thread is a place for everyone to share their experiences with theming and modding the Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e tablet. I'll start with what I've tried, and as I gather more information I'll edit and expand this reference. Hopefully others will share their experiences, too. BTW, this OP part of the thread will be an ever changing, 'living' document, reflecting *only the latest* info I've gathered. Not sure how that sits with xda guidance/policy, or your expectations, but, at least for now, that's how I'll edit this OP.
MY CURRENT SETUP
Samsung Galaxy Tab S5e (SM-T720)
Magisk 19.3 Manager 7.3.2
Riru - Core v19.4
Riru - EdXposed v0.4.5.1_beta (4463) (YAHFA)
AFWall+ 3.2.0 beta
THEMING
Because the S5e does not have a native Samsung Themes app, theming this tablet is problematic. Substratum is a no-go. I've tried the 'Synergy' app from Play Store (it used to not have the disclaimer about it working only on devices with a native theming app) and, of course, it didn't work.
I had previously purchased the Swift Installer-Themes & color engine (Early Access) app by Beach Road IT, so I gave it a try and it works. It doesn't theme Notifications, though.
MAGISK MODULES
WHAT I HAVE INSTALLED AND CONFIRMED WORKING
Riru - Core v19.4
I'm using Riru - EdXposed v0.4.5.1_beta (4463) (YAHFA) I've switched between the (YAHFA) and (SandHook) variants several times, and from my somewhat limited and completely subjective observations of performance I think the (YAHFA) variant works best. I'm curious to hear what others think.
Audio Modification Library
Swift Installer Module
ViPER4Android FX Legacy Materialized
YouTube Vanced black theme
No luck with Ainur Sauron. Something to do with '! Cannot mount /dsp'. I gotta figure this one out. I've really like this mod paired with Ainur JamesDSP.
EDXPOSED
WHAT I HAVE INSTALLED AND CONFIRMED WORKING
3C All-in-One Toolbox Pro
AFWall+
Cool Tool
Deny Location Consent
Greenify
MinMinGuard
Scoop
Statusbar download progress
XPrivacyLua

Change Fonts?
Has anyone tried to change the system font? This is usually one of the first things I do.
I actually like the Samsung One (not the default) font, but I also like to able to change things up, and I prefer a very condensed font (more info per inch).
Thanks

I think this wings must work but I have not tried

Have you tried gravitybox?

xposed modules ?

Hello!
Sorry if I'm in the wrong place, if so please redirect me. I'm wondering if there are any xposed modules specific to samsung tablets? I already have xuimod (basically just for animations) and wanam. I know about gravity box obviously too but wondering if there's anything else that could benefit my experience with this tab?
Also as a side note , is there a way to change settings to list view? The way they have these tabs set up drives me nuts! I'd like to keep stock from but if I can't change this through xposed than just might have to flash..
Thanks

there are many modules related to Samsung
just install the closed module installer
and see download section
you will find a lot of Samsung specific modules
Modules don't have to be specific to these devices to work. Key to installing is to read through the support threads of the module to see if any touchwiz based devices have issues. If a slew of them do its a safe bet that the module isn't compatible with the Note pro. If other note tablets are confirmed to work then it's likely but not guaranteed to work. As always, keep a backup just in case you have to wipe and restore.
Here is a list of what I'm running currently:
ActivityForceNewtask
App Settings
Boot Manager
Chrome New Tab
Complete Action Plus
CrappaLinks
Custom Share
Disable Clear Defaults Dialog
Disable Location Consent
Enable Battery Stats Peemission
Gravitybox
Greenify
Heads Up Notifications
Min min Guard
Nlp Unbounce
Ok Google for 3rd party activities
Samsung Alt Symbols
Secure Samsung Clipboard
Suggestions Toggle
View In Play
Wanam
Xposed Recent Task Ram
Xprivacy
Xposed Cast Fix
Youtube Adaway

[Q] Is there "Per App Font Enlarge" that will work without xposed framework

Good day dear XDA members. Since updating my Galaxy Note 4 N910C to lollipop I was unable to install xposed framework and frankly didn't want to mess with so many technical adjustments. The reality is that I only use xposed framework to accomplish one task or I should say to install one module "App Settings" so I can enlarge the font in facebook and Google+ (just too small for my eyes). I googled for apps that would work on rooted devices but without xposed and I couldn't find, and I am kindly asking you if you have come across an application that will accomplish this task and does not need to work from within xposed framework. Many many thanks.

[Q] What can the average power user actually do with the s6 once it is rooted?

The subject may have seemed weird, but I've been really pondering this. When I had my S5 I rooted it, installed Xposed, and there was all kinds of cool tweaks I could do to fix all the flaws of the S5.
I rooted the S6 edge when I got it, and found out that Xposed is not compatible (32 bit only?) and there's no telling when the dev will actually care to make it work. So I have a rooted S6 Edge, and couldn't figure out a reason why. The S6 Edge actually doesn't have a lot of the flaws that I needed to fix on the S5, so I'm at a loss.
So please tell me, what do I do with a rooted S6 Edge that makes it better than stock? Is there something like Xposed that I don't know about that actually makes it useful for the average power user?
TIA
Installing Custom Roms.
Currently for the S6 you have the option of installing a Deodex or Odex version of a Rom. XtreSto Lite gives you the choice in how you want your phone to run. Also the ability to have a custom recovery like TWRP. You can literally take an entire backup of your entire phone, apps, data and keep it for when your phone starts to slow down, play up or derps itself from an install.
Tweaks
Installing things like 3Minit Framework or Alliance Framework which is out allows you to add more features. Longpress Volume keys, Extended Power Menus, Custom Lockscreen Carrier stuff, different statusbar icons to name a few. While Xposed provides you with runtime modifications, these frameworks are the only real mods which we can use until Xposed is eventually supported for S6 variants.
Some apps need root access too. BetterBatterStats, ES File explorer has a root mode. Depends on what apps you use.
Overall "just rooting" provides your average power user with more options than stock. You can also have newer firmwares sooner so you can try out features that have been hyped quicker. (and then roll back easy with the custom recovery if you dont like).
I came from an S3 with Xposed to an S6 without and its been difficult. You might consider to drop a donation to arter97, who plans to extend support for his Xposed workaround to arm64 devices, namely S6 and beyond.

Hope this helps.
Edit: If you havent had the opportunity to use Xposed it provides the abilitiy to really easily modify to your phone. Youtube adAway, SnapPrefs (for snapchat) are just some modules that you download and install from the Xposed repository, instead of having to wait for features to be implemented, you can apply them yourself, really really easily.

I found out about Xposed and it was the whole reason I rooted my S5. Loved it, and used the modules that would disable the 'volume warning' and 'usb cover warning'. When I rooted my S6, I tried to install Xposed only to find out it was useless, and thus the reason for the thread.
The fact that you said this...

... at least lets me know that you're sharing my frustration. I'll look into 3Minit and Alliance, thanks. I didn't know about these other frameworks.
If you are running a S6 Edge try look at edgarf's XtraStoLite Roms. Its got Alliance included as an optional addon. (Alliance has been around for a few months and 3Minit currently looks like its just starting up).
My main reasons always: File managers with advanced permissions, titanium backup, processor throttlers. I'm not into custom ROMs, unless they provide some truly unique functions.

Problem with Layers Theme

Hello,
I'm using Layer Themes to mod my HTC One A9. I use some Overlay-Apps to Theme for example Calculator or SystemUI. It works fine. Only if I try an Overlay for the Framework.res, many Apps get forced closes (like SuperSU, Clock, Playstore.....) The Overlay for the Framework itselfs works.
I tested this on many Layer Themes - all the same, if I aktivate a overlay for Framework, many Apps get forced close.
Somebody has an idea on what to do?
My Device: HTC One A9, US 1.56.617.1, Systemless root BETA-SuperSU-v2.67, S-Off
Thanks

Question equivalent to gravitybox ?

Hello,
I love my pixel 6A but it misses some nice stuff I use to have with magisk and gravitybox in my previous phones
- long press back to quit
- easy way to start flashlight (long press power ? shake the phone? I can have it double taping back of phone but it's not rerally good and not working anymore since I have case)
- also maybe could have shortcut to start flashlight as a button on lockscreen? better than nothing
- circle battery
- and so on...
also, double sim phone is desastrous, I'm so disapointed for a google phone, no custom ringtone on each sim, my motorola edge 20 which is not very famous was doing much better!
I know there are some custom roms but each seems to have some problem and stability is very important to me.
I have magisk and exposed
Do you guys know any good solutions ?
thanks cheers
Gravity box is still a thing:

You could also look at aosp mods for magisk
I haven't used gravity box in years.
AOSP Mods is easily the best magisk module for stock roms.
