I'm in USA and bought verizon version(LM-V450VM). Is dual screen option available? - LG V50 ThinQ Questions & Answers

It seems like I was only able to find the dual screen case for the korean version of the phone. I've seen reviews all over the place that shows dual screen capability but I cannot find anywhere to buy it.
I was able to find one ebay link and in the details it says it doesn't work for the USA version. (I can't post it being a new user)
Any help would be appreciated, thanks!

Only the Korean and European version have the three pings on the back, that powers the second screen. The USA version does not have them. Here's a picture as an example.

Some how in the USA we got screwed. No dual screen, I didn't find out until I got mine. Dual screen was the main reason why I got the V50

What are you talking about?

The dual screen uses a USB C connection for power.

In the US LG only sells the dual screen for the G8X, The V50 Thinq 5G from Verizon fits in the case fine but does not have the necessary software to detect the screen.
It appears if someone could understand the code on this page it should be possible to make it work with the US model.

Did anyone ever figure this out? I bought what was called a Verizon LM-V450VN and it most definitely has the 3 pogo pins on the back of the phone. I'm thinking it was a Korean version that has Verizon software on it. I was able to update it OTA Verizon
so at least that worked. I also picked up a second screen case for it that has the 3 pogo pins in the case. When I snap it all in though the second screen will not come on. I'm thinking this is the Verizon software. Would the way around this be to try to install the Korean software? If anyone has had success with this I'd sure love to know.

The second screen is available on Amazon for $199.
After reading all of the horror stories about the second screen hinges breaking screens coming out of the carrier etc I decided against it.

replacing cracked screen

hello,
i have here a lumia 1020 froom at&t. it has a cracked screen.
i wanted to ask, if i can just buy an digitizer screen from ebay and replace it, because i know there are some differences between the us at&t model and the international one (as i know its only about the frequencies gsm, lte etc). should there be a problem with a possible other pin assignment for the display connectors ?
second i wanted to ask if i can flash an international debranded windows phone version over the at&t firmware (after the phone has been sim unlocked)
I cracked the screen of my 1020 twice, both times I bought a screen at amazon, different sellers. The first time the screen was perfect 100%, the second time the screen that I received was a bit faulty, I had a gab between the body of the phone and the screen and you could see light coming out from the side of the phone, annoying. eventually the corner of the screen broke again, I 'm not changing it again, the screen for this phone is too expensive and already bought two, my next screen will come with the phone that replaces 1020. maybe 1030 or whatever it is. Just try to get it from a good seller that could relace if it comes faulty.
the same problem. trying to deattach the glass and keep digitizer. if will be successful will publish the guide.
Just buy display assembly from good seller. The rest is simple.
I tried to separate the glass from digitizer and broke the LCD in the process. Later had to buy the whole display assembly.
Only concern was, you get glass for less than a dollar, but display assembly costs 100+ dollars.

Hello todarkness, if you buy a screen without frame, both at&t and international models are interchangeable, otherwise, you'll have to buy the at&t version if you need the frame as well.

[Q] Any way to find out the manufacture date on my Urbane 2?

Hello everyone,
Just got a used Urbane 2, 3G (not LTE) edition, mint condition. It works perfectly, no issues there, however I'm just curious.
Since I've read that the the Urbane 2 was recalled shortly after release and then re-released a few months later. Is there any way to find out when my device was manufactured? Through the S/N for example?
Thank you.
If it's a 200A or 200V it is the re-released version. You can see it when you take the back plate off. I think it's around the edge somewhere as far as I remember.
Thank you. I took the backplate off but couldn't find the number. However on the back of the backplate cover there's a sticker with the serial number and date 2016/04 on it. So I guess it's the re-released version.

where to get replacement screw for the urbane band?

anyone know where to buy replacement screw that hold in the band on urbane? lost 1 of the screw.
Sent from my PH-1 using Tapatalk
I see them on eBay every now and then.
Joins the question.
Does anyone know what size and type it needs?

This place rocks.
I have two bands (black and brown). The upper band got damaged but lower (non-buckle) part of the band was perfect.
Was able to buy only half the band and some extra screws.
Fast delivery.
Thank you santino18
I just wanted to say thank you for that link. I just purchased a refurbished LGWU2 on eBay and I already knew that these bands do not last, so I was looking for a source to buy a backup band for it. I am glad that they also have the replacement/extra screws as well.

Thanks for this! I was looking everywhere for a replacement band, that's the cheapest one I found!
I have the black right now but it started to break near the connection, maybe I'll go with the brown one, just for a change
Glad I could help.

Did you end up getting replacement bands ftom tntkstore?
My bands are now almost dead, booth loops are broken, the band is also almost broken in half, the buckle part where it connects to the band is also broken, thank god for superglue. I guess because they're made from hard plastic they break easily, especially when I use them during sleep (I use the watch as a sleep tracker)
I read in another post here that the plastic in the replacement bands is softer, which means they won't break so easy. Can you confirm that? If not I'll end up getting the brown version, I really hate the color but I guess the leather will provide some extra protection against breaking. Combined with the deployant buckle I hope they will last a while before breaking again.
Thank you!

Hi,
To answer your question, no I did not order any replacement bands from them. I did order a set of screws from them. The delivery arrived within a few weeks so that was a good thing. To be honest, I don't even wear my LGWU2 any more. I bought a Huawei Watch 1st Edition instead. I did not need the LGE function and never used it so I got a watch with all of the same features minus the cellular. At least now I have a watch that uses regular watch bands. Sorry that I can't give you any information about the replacement bands but if you search the posts here I think you will find someone who has. Good luck.

LCD replacement

Anyone know where I can find a good replacement screen for my g7 power? Most sold online are 154mm and our device needs 157mm screens. The ones sold online work but leave a small gap from the chin of the device to the bezel
As new as the device is you probably have to get parts from Motorola/Lenovo. And they probably won't sell direct, only if they install.
I'm running into the same issue myself. I can not find the 157mm screen =/

i just found this on ebay, it wasn't there before when i posted.. i purchased one and hopefully it's correct......
So what devices are the short ones for? Any G7 Power?
And which models need the longer one?
I assume there's a reason these sellers thought the short one fit the G7 Power.
that's a very good question, unfortunately i do not have that answer. maybe there's variants for specific carriers that are different?

Help, received Euro Umidigi phone instead of US..

Just got an Umidigi G1 Max today (AliExpress). I did specify other area, not Russia area or European Union. I believe what I got is for Euro. Wondering if this will still work for me. Are there differences in the bands that they utilize? This is a 4g phone and I use Red Pocket ATT. I would be much relieved if all I have to do is use a US power adapter. Arghh..

Well actually this is my second Umi, and my wife is on her second also, so we've been relatively lucky up till now. As far as the phone working, I went ahead and gave it a shot going by the few bits of info I could find on the subject. It seems to be working fine. I'm relieved. As far as anything you can actually see, the home button appears to be 2 circles for Euro as opposed to just 1 for global I guess, which I found mentioned in an Umidigi forum thread. Also saw mentioned possibly engineering mode may not be available? I don't know. Can't use wall plug, big deal, we've got plenty..
