Time changing to GMT in oneplus 7 - Bug - OnePlus 7 Questions & Answers

I recently bought my oneplus 7 and the time in the phone resets to GMT when i keep automatic time and date from network provider and automatic timezone. The same sim card provides right time in my other android devices.
I have contacted oneplus support who asked me reset network settings and app settings, I've even went as far as factory resetting the phone from recovery but still the bug persists (within 3~4 hours of reset my time changes from indian time to GMT). Can somebody help solving this issue?

Even i am experiencing similar issue with the time getting changed to some random time. i have set it to use network provided time. During night , i see the correct time before i sleep. But at morning i see the time is different and its far behind. i thought it due to "Sleep standby optimization" and turned off it. but still it seems not to work. any suggestion to this issue?

Time randomly changing

Hi guys,
The time on my touch pro has started randomly changing recently for no apparent reason - I've changed nothing significant and time zone is correct. Any ideas as to the likely cause?
Thanks,
John
My wife has this same bug on her kaiser. We've discovered it only happens when "docking" the ppc to the computer. Something to do w/ activesynch+xp+6.1winmo .
Hers changes by one hour on the computer and the phone. Very weird.
I had this on my TP and HTC said that i should restart Touchflo3D. and that seems to fix it
I used to have this problem on the original firmware; specifically the time would move back a few hours every time I used "Airplane Mode". Since the firmware update I haven't had the problem anymore...

[Q] switching the phone to "emergency calls only" state

Hi everyone, just found this forum when i was looking for help on this model of Huawei phone.
Huawei ascent mate 7, it is a great phone so far and i am very happy with its battery life. There is an issue which is very annoying but i just simply cannot reproduce this problem when i want to. so yes it is a random thing but it does happen at least once a day.
it happens when i need to make a voice call, or when i am being called. the phone turns itself into "emergency calls only" mode after the first 5 seconds of conversation. and it will not switch back online until i turn on and off the flight mode.
EMUI 3.0 - MT7-L09V100R001C00B120SP04
I had my phone replaced once, also changed the SIM card from my operator. but it still happens.
i dont think it is a network thing as i have been using this mobile network for a while and when the thing happens i am usually either at work/home, the places that i normally go daily.
anyone has experienced the similar issue with this phone?

An update on this issue that it only happens when LTE is allowed on the phone. When it is required to start a voice call the phone changes its state to 3G (which is what it should do), apparently that there is a handshake problem and it loses its network occasionally. I changed the phone to 3G+GSM only and i have not experienced the same issue yet, so far (for half day). I am not sure if it is a network thing or the phone's. I wish that there a new firmware to fix this issue as it is too annoying...

WiFi disconnect when screen turn off

Hi guys, I have a little issues with my nexus. When I lock the device, the wifi turn off and reconnect as soon as unlock the device. I've started to have this issue 3 weeks ago, I've updated from stock android 6 to 6.0.1 and the problem are still there (I've tried using cm and 2 or 3 others roms too). I don't have any energy save app or samething like that, and the option in "advance wifi" is set in always on.
I'm trying to read the log but I don't understand where is the wifi problem.

Hi,
Have you tried restoring to the latest factory image https://developers.google.com/android/nexus/images with a full wipe?
(make sure to backup any data that you wish to keep before hand)

Yep, twice
This is a known issue that started with 6.0/Marshmallow.
It’s discussed in this thread.
Please to go the official Android Issue Tracker entry and star the item to vote for it. It’s already a high priority and been acknowledged by Google, but wasn’t fixed in 6.0.1. More exposure might help get it fixed sooner rather than later.

I'm having this issue since I first used this phone (upgraded to Lollipop right away). It has been around before MM, but back then it felt I was the only one. I had given up.
Please turn off any battery saving applications or battery saver feature and then check again if the issue still occurs....

Android Auto incoming calls

Not sure if it's a phone issue or Android Auto issue but I'm not getting a pop-up in Android Auto when a call comes in so the only way to answer the call is to swipe my phone. I did a reset on the phone today for other reasons but I swear it was working before. Can anyone think of a setting that's blocking this? I've checked the Android Auto permissions and they're all checked.

Little more info. I deleted and repaired my car to my phone, rebooted the phone, deleted and reinstalled Android Auto and still the same thing, no call control. Messages work as they should with an on screen pop-up.

No such problems here. All works as it should. Not sure what to recommend.
Got it finally. I unplugged the phone and stayed connected to Bluetooth. Called my phone from another phone and the call came through on the Ford sync 3 system giving me the options to accept or reject. I accepted it and while in the call plugged the phone back in which brought me to the call screen in Android Auto. Hung the call up and while still in Android Auto I called it again and the notification showed up and gave me the call screen when I clicked it. Unplugged and retried again about 5 times and the notification pop-up and phone screen work as they should.

same issue
Having the same issue, will try your solution. Thanks!
Sorry to resurrect the thread but I wanted to thank you for the solution. While my Pixel in 7.1.2 was working no problem, having to switch out of the M9 just for this issue wasn't ideal. Followed the outlined steps and sure enough, I can take calls as expected whether I'm connected to Auto or not. Turns out the 100th Google search is the charm. Thanks!
Same issue with huawei honor 8
I am having the same issue with the huawei honor 8, and the fix does work for a time. The darn issue keeps coming back, which is obnoxious. Any one have an idea of what is causing to bug?
i heard its an EMUI issue and not an issue the phone particularly, and its up to Huawei to fix this. Im having the same issue which is tough considering i just came from a galaxy s7e that gave me tons of issues, but worked perfectly in AA

Honor 8, wifi keeps disconnecting often! help!

Hey, this is Sairam from India.
I got the honor 8 on Amazon and didn't use it until a few days after purchase. initially, the wife just wouldn't connect at all. I could not even set up the device. I thought I had to go to the customer care to get it fixed. and luckily today it worked after I reset the cache partition and the phone. now I have set up my profile, updated to 7.1 and stuff but the problem still exists. time and again it disconnects and reconnects and it is just not at all stable! I had to restart a few times and it worked a few times, but it is not consistent! is there a software update for this, am I doing something wrong, should I be selecting and deselecting some options. please give your inputs. TIA
