I extracted the apk and its clearly made for lg phones ...
Even the timing of the transitions has to be slightly adjusted to fit into other phones as its somehow adjusted into how the lg phones gets unlocked ..for this to synchronize correctly you cant have any lock screen ... Beside adjusting the apk it self to work with non lg phones ..

I will try, maybe next week, to clone the apk from inside my phone, then download the cloned apk which is not going to be signed by LG, the give it to you.

Me also. Was one of the many reasons I bought it. This is by far best animation on the planet. No other phone can match it.

Cant add any more .. its with no doubt the best animated wallpaper ever made ... When i extracted the apk i extracted the video file and its just breath taking ... But i have a question .. im aware that usually interactive wallpapers shows a static picture on lock screen then once you unlock the animation starts .. but the video is starting by a fade from black .. does that mean the lock screen is just black and the animation just starts after unlocking ?

Wrong. I have 2 animations. One after I turn on the screen, second after I unlock it. Clearly 2 animations. Also this is not under live wallpapers in themes, is under new category named SEAMLESS.
In my opinion this seamless wallpaper require another framework in the Android OS. It won't work on other phones. But you can recreate it as live wallpaper, just like they did it with LG G8 black coral. But I remember installing it on my LG G7 and it was as live wallpaper, nor seamless and it didn't worked as smooth. Also my v50 has 4 this type seamless wallpapers, but this is the best.

I have the black coral on my pixel and its working perfectly .. really another breath taking one ..
I got it now .. by looking at the video probably when this get modified for other android devices it will show a black lock screen then the whole animation will just start after unlocking .. i really cant see any other way for this to work rather than this as live wallpapers are limited to one animation that gets triggered after unlocking ... No animations on lock screen ..

Im trying to extract the video animation files and compile them into standalone apk's .. im not that knowledgeable but im trying since i can't see any of the experienced developers caring to help ..

I dont have an lg phone .. but so far its clear id does require the latest 9.0 pie lg software to work .. im trying to extract the videos and compile them into standalone apk's to work in every device ..
Im not a developer though but i cant find any one who cares to help ..

Found great app in Android Market that lets you load the total picture without cropping or any way you want it into your screen, app is called 'Wallpaper Wizardrii'

Is this the one(attached), I used Google image search but just got the advertisement links, will keep digging...just found update, another brown image & a link to pretty complete HTC wallpaper site for all HTC phones, you click on the images to view larger, then when your mouse pointer is a + sign, click again to get t he maximum resolution & save image to your PC, then can email it to yourself & open in phone & save to your photo gallery or where you want so you can select as wallpaper, I load the full largest resolution & then use the Android Market app 'Wallpaper Wizardrii' to set it as wallpaper with no crop, looks great(see my attached pic of my phone

Unfortunately it's not a widget just the app itself with live animations inside. I have to copy the weather folder to ur android folder via any file explorer than install the app.
1. Download HTC Weather Animations zip file
2. Go Here to download HtcServicePack.apk and Weather.apk
3. Copy the APKs to your SD Card
4. Install APKs as normal
5. Extract weather folder from zip file
6. Place weather folder from the zip inside /sdcard/Android (Important - This makes the Animations work)
Hi i have a samsung S8+ bought from Bestbuy unlocked
im using the latest firmware and latest youtube app. recently my youtube stop cropping videos properly they onlu crop from top to bottom and no left and right. ive tried any video and trailers since trailers shows perfectly on the infitiny screen.
im not rooted and did nothing to modify my unit. my brother owns a locked ATT s8+ and he doesnt havr this issue.
things ive done that doesnt work
1) Rebooting phone
2) disabled the app overlay option on youtube app
3) the full screen option on settings is greyed out so i cant change it
things ive done (temporary fix)
1) Uninstall youtube update and use stock version
2) clear the data and cache (the problem will accur again after some time)
ive searched google and it seems the issue is very seldom i cant even see a permanent fix im hoping some from xda can help or share info. ?
Cropping is only top and bottom to fill out video to whole screen. The other option was stretch to fit, which stretched the video to the sides. YouTube app for our phone has been iffy. Also the stretching or cropping sacrifice quality.

But from the previous youtube we have 2 options Crop to fit and something like original. Selecting crop to fit fills out the entire infinity screen. But now the crop to fit only crops the too and bottom leaving the left and right black bars. It doesnt consume the whole infinity display

The only way to fit a 16:9 image on a 18:9 screen without cropping is by stretching it...
Do you like stretching? I don't, and neither cropping, IMHO better have black side bars.

I have already make the same question about the exactly same problem 1,5 month ago... I make a lot of tests and compare with my friends S8+....
I couldn't find a way to make it work for ever.... Only temporarily after clean app cache & data... And finally I found a solution that worked for me everytime...
You must NOT sing in to your YouTube acount.... I know that this isn't the best convinience solution but is working great at least for me.... My testing shows that with the same version of YouTube if you stay unsigned the interface of the app is totally different from the interface of the app when you are singed in... The second scenario that I'm not sure about it is that the issue started when I bought a tablet (xperia z4) and stay singed in... Maybe the updates that I'm getting in my S8+ makes conflict with the updates of my tablet or something like that but I'm not sure..... I hope that I help you and maybe you will find a better solution...

I'm having the same problem - the crop to fit on YouTube option is not available any more.
I'm not sure whether it's the Samsung update which has broken it or the YouTube update. I've uninstalled the YouTube updates and it still didn't work so I'm thinking it's Samsung's update which is the culprit. To say I'm annoyed would be an understatement.....I watch a lot of YouTube on my commute to/from work. I have this big beautiful screen and now can't utilise it fully when watching YouTube as I have the black bars either side.
I may as well pull out my old HTC M7 and start using that as the total area of both screens when watching YouTube is about the same now!!

In many phones there is a option for wireless display but i dint find any option in lg q6 it is there or not
Unfortunately, this doesn't has the wireless display feature buddy!
I just got my Q6 yesterday and was shocked to not find a lot of basic functions like screen capture, screen mirroring and many more. I think the display is the only best part in this phone. The face unlock doesn't works all the time, especially without proper light. I hope they will add the wireless display feature in the Oreo update. Lets hope for the best!

Did you get a white navbar too?
I think the white navbar icon with white background is not a bug, when you're doing something with your phone and you're not touching the navbar area, the icons in the navbar will fade to an off-white colour. But when you're doing something that involves even just touching the blank parts of the navbar area, the icons will show their true colours.
The real bug is actually the navbar icons are way too close to each other.

I don't think it's a bug, my navbar changes color depending on app. It does go white on Spotify which is all black so it looks bad, but on other apps it does change to black like messages, Twitter or anytime I use the keyboard. I'm guessing the app picks the color unless the app isn't updated so it defaults to white.

I guess they will, they just have to rewrite the home app to work with it.

Yeah, wasn't there a news that the old launcher won't get any more update and will be reworked?

I don't know for sure, I read it on reddit.
I think I found a bug, when adjusting the incoming call volume in audio settings it plays the alarm sound and when adjusting the notification volume it plays the call sound. The correct sound plays when actually receiving a call

and crap, as usual my system update OTA is broken and fails to install on my H8296.
wonder if flashing a different region's firmware (initially went from Taiwan to India because the TW/HK updates are weeks behind) killed the mechanism. currently on DE and it hasn't made any difference for OTA. On to XperiFirm... Bother.
