NOTE FOR ANDROID 10 USERS
If you facing any issues with the Q zips, for example if the phone gets stuck at boot logo, then it may be an issue of your recovery.
In such cases, do the following:
- Make sure you use TWRP recovery
- Mount /vendor before flashing
- Clear cache and dalvik
- Reboot
TROUBLESHOOTING
1) You have to perform a dirty flash of your ROM, when switching between the two versions of the audio fix.
2) After installing the fix, you might have to uninstall and reinstall your audio mods like AML and Sauron, otherwise there are chances that the fix would not appear to work or your audio mods might misbehave.
3) After installing the fix, if you are facing some minor distortions then reboot to recovery and install it one more time.
4) If some distortions are still present, then try installing the 16bit zip.

Awesome

Updated zip:
- Fixed audio distortions during audio recording (e.g. during WhatsApp voice notes, call waiting etc.)
EDIT:
The new zip 'Audio_fix_v6.zip' uses stock pie audio config. This zip fixes some minor audio distortions which might occur as mentioned above.
But if you aren't facing any distortions, then I would suggest that you install 'Audio_fix_v5.zip' which I also posted above. The v5 zip uses Arrow audio config and uses 24 bit audio PCM for its primary output, which means more accurate audio and better audio quality.
Thanks @TekSabz and @Praveen Pannu for testing

This fix is meant for custom ROMs only... Flashing on stock pie may have unforseen results...
You can try it though. I shall not be held responsible for any damages.
Make sure you have backed up your system and vendor through recovery before flashing the zip. If you are having any issues with audio, or the entire ROM itself, restore system and vendor from the backup.
If it does work, then do tell me.

Thanks man appreciated

Update:
As you might know, GCam has been fixed in most of the recent custom ROMs. For this purpose, the developers had to switch to a different device tree. As a consequence of this, audio somewhat crackles in the newer updates of some custom ROMs (according to users).
I want to inform you that some users have reported that flashing any of my audio fixes can fix this issue also, since my zip contains original audio blobs, mixer and config files from Stock Pie.
Now I don't want to create more confusion, so I am not making another zip.
For Advanced users, in case you want the same sound which was default in the custom ROMs before the above mentioned changes to device tree, then you can follow the steps below:
1) From a previous build of your ROM (before GCam was functional), go to /vendor/etc/audio and copy and backup the file "audio_policy_configuration.xml"
2) Flash the newer build of your ROM.
3) Flash any of my audio zip files.
4) After flashing the new build and one of my audio fixes, in TWRP File Manager, go to /vendor/etc/audio and delete the audio policy configuration file which is present and replace it with the one which you had backed up earlier.
5) Reboot. Done.
Otherwise, you can even modify my zip and replace the audio policy config file in it. In fact I think someone has already done it.
XDA is all about learning ! Enjoy
Edit:
It does seem that on some of the telegram channels, some audio fix zips are being shared. I have seen them. They are basically rip-offs of mine and Endless's zips.
I have no problem that people rip-off, but those that do it and release them, must give proper credits to the original person i.e. @EndLess.
Also these rip-off zips do nothing else but just create more confusion for the users.

2) Install Droid2 Bootstrap Recovery
3) Open Droid2 Bootstrap Recovery and tap "Bootstrap Recovery", then "Reboot Recovery" granting root privileges. The phone should reboot into recovery. Use volume buttons to navigate, camera button to accept, power button to go back. You will install files by selecting "Install zip from sdcard".
4) Optionally: create a backup of your data

Installing updates
The most convenient way of installing updates is through built-in OTA updater. Note that currently wipe options do not work there, so you may need to do it manually in recovery. For most cases that won't be necessary though.

If you have CH version, you may give it a try. Install my CM7 first and then CM10 and gapps. It should work in theory, but I don't have a clue if gapps are upgradable between these versions. Do a nandroid backup first if anything goes wrong
Thank you very much Tezet! You brought life back again to out Milestones 2!

I haven't looked deeply into it, but I suppose it is.
If someone figures out how to gain signal, i would appreciate it! I cannot get it to work :S
Just updated and tested it for a bit... it is really smooth =)
Everything worked fine... except gsm =/, but probably because I have the wrong kernel? I come from sfc3001 cm9 (CM9-NIGHTLY-120721-milestone2-ch.zip).
Im going back to my backup from cm9 until I'm able to use the phone as a phone on cm10.

> Rom's Notes.
Who installs this Rom, accept it "as is".
Contains just the apps and options installed.
What you want to add will have to be obtained from Google-Play or any other sources.
Please, don't report bugs if you are not using the installed Dhollmen Kernel.
In case of questions or comments, you must indicate additional apps, tweaks or installed "optimizations".
if you insert images, do it in a 'hide' tag. This hide your image until an user click to show it.
I assume you has installed a suitable Recovery and know how to perform the required steps.
Keep in mind that Antutu and others related apps give you very similar values, regardless of the Rom used.
In such apps, OC influence on speed, but its goal is to evaluate the hardware, not the Rom.
Don't use any kind of overclock before three consecutive stability test in Antutu.
> Rom take a long time to boot after installing.
It is quite normal because ART is used and applications are self-compiled at first boot time, after installing a new Rom.
> Applications are slow to start after installing.
It is quite normal because ART is used and have self-compiled before first use.
Although it may seem at times, the Rom is not hung, just have to wait.

> Google Apps (Gapps).
All Gapps packages available are virtually identical.
Only differ, from each other, in the amount of installed applications.
Never two different packages must be installed as likely to cause Google applications FC.
The Dhollmen Gapps, being valid for any Rom, are specifically adapted for installation on it.
> Viper4 - Convolver - IRS.
This application controls the System Sound FX.
It also includes a number of advanced pre-equalizer settings (made by others) that are the IRS whose installation files requested.
Access to Convolver (manager of the IRS) is obtained by selecting the option Expert in Experience Settings.
Using another equalizer (provided by external applications) usually interfere with it.
You can only have one active equalizer in the system, but if you want to use another one, kindly Viper4 can be turned off.
> Restoring backups.
It is very common Titanium Backup (or similar) problems in Rom.
If backup /data partition are made and, after a change of Rom, restored, usually side effects will occur.
In this directory and subdirectories it contains, there are many configuration files and internal databases.
When it comes to a specific application should not be a problem as long as it is not part of the Rom.
When sub-directories containing settings are restored, the likelihood of problems increases exponentially.
For example, all Roms have a Settings application, but the content of his configurations differs between them and is not interchangeable.
Under no circumstances you should restore /system partition apps.
> Brick Bug.
Don't worry about.
No problems here
> Recovery.
In the wave of failures of equipment, widely discussed and until the problem is completely cleared
The user is strongly advised not to use another recovery than Dhollmen TWRP-2.8.0.5 or Andi TWRP-2.8.0.1
First impressions: very smooth ??
Before I had slimlp. Did a full wipe and factory reset and installed it. No problems at all!
First reboot was much quicker than slimlp.
So far didn't find any problem with it.
Great job already Dhollmen.

I think this works for now!
Confirmed no sound on 5110. Looks like the audio.primary.default.so file in /system/lib/hw was omitted when compiling for 5110. Just for the heck of it, I downloaded the 5100 build and the .so file was present in that rom. So, I just took the audio.primary.default.so from the 5100 build and put it in the 5110 build, sound working fine now.
I archived the file in the 5110 zip, then flashed the rom but you can also push the file with a root file explorer. Just make sure to set proper permissions and then reboot for it to take effect.

Improved Audio on Oreo Custom ROMs (Ainur Sauron)

I am part of the team for Ainur Sauron, and I am here to present improved audio on the Le Max 2. Sauron has a userconfig which can be adjusted. Download the latest from there and place the attached file at /sdcard before installing. Make sure to remove the '.txt' at the end of the file too! Enjoy :victory:
Impedance is currently set to 16Ω which can be changed to whatever you desire. To set edit the attached sauron_useroptions file and change qc.impedance to whatever your headphones impedance is in Ohms multiplied by 1000 (eg. for 22Ω it would be 22000).
Tested by @I_Raptor_I on his x2, if it doesn't work just send me a log

I did not know that anyone else was using Ainur Sauron on LeX2 It really improves the audio quality significantly on Oreo!
Quick question - why does it say "Axon 7" during installation procedure?
LazerL0rd said:

Hello GaetanoS.89, first things first uninstall the MK II Magisk module. Now place the given text file in /sdcard folder, then go and flash that module again, it should state that it has detected the user options text file and that's it.

I have not installed magisk n the smartphone.
Can you tell me how I can uninstall it?
Do I need magisk to let work this audio mod?
Thanks

Magisk isn't needed as it'll install with any configuration. All you need to do is placed the attched file at /sdcard (called Internal Storage) and rename it to sauron_useroptions (remove the .txt. at the end).

Did it, and after What I have to do?
@Lazerlord: I tried your mod today by described method.
I copied "sauron_useroptions" into sdcard folder by TWRP file explorer.
Afterwards I flashed latest zip (17.03.) using TWRP. Everything was fine with it during this.
Wiped chache and dalvik and rebooted without any problems.
Result: No ringtone anymore, no message sound, but media sound works fine and was adjustable, no app or menue occoured in regard to your mod. I did not check more.
I could succesfully remove your mod by described method (flash again same file from TWRP)
After removal everything was fine as before :good:
My Phone: X829 with latest AEX 8.1 using Magisk 16.0

Ah, well could you follow these instructions on the main thread which say "help to extend features". It'll help us fix those issues. :good:
How was the media sound though? Did it sound better according to you?

I removed the "sauron_useroptions" from sdcard folder (as it was described in the file itself, that UO is not mandatory) and reflashed the zip-file again.
With this way everything works !
Will read a little bit the instructions now...
Generaly I have to say I am using Leeco CDLA as headphones atm which are extraordinary by themselves.
So maybe I will use adapter for 3,5mm jack whithin next days and try some user options. Leeco Loadspeaker judgement is difficult imho.
Also new AEX is very good ROM in regard to speaker sound I have to say.
On Oreo 8.1.0. PixelRevenge 15.1 works very well in music playback. He gave me a strange problem. I removed the system camera that I can not install anymore. I had to put another one. I have not tried calls and notifications yet
edit:- Notifications and ringtones ok. In-call audio worsened, the voice is less clear. In speakerphone there is a loud hiss that makes the speakerphone unusable

We're working on a fix for the mixer_paths that'll correct notifications, ringtones, and other audio. I'm happy that you're enjoying music playback. However, the system camera app problem is nothing to do with Sauron it's probably a ROM issue, or possibly even a Magisk issue.
I've installed this Mod by using Magisk 16.0 (v5.6.4) on RR 6.0(22-03-18).
Before I did this I placed the file sauron_useroptions to /sdcard folder.
During the installation Magisk showed that the useroption file was found and used for the installation.
In Poweramp I get the message that there is a problem with app native libraries (libampffmpeg.so).
I don't know whether the error message has something to do with that, but the volume control in Poweramp after flashing this modul is faulty.
Just when the volume is set the half I can hear anything. The volume control steps seems to be broken, but just in Poweramp.(After uninstalling, the issue is gone, but the error message is still sthere)
In other Apps the volume control is normal.
Since I use RR 6.0(8.1) instead of RR 5.8.5(7.1.2) the speaker sounds cheap tinny - Ainur Sauron didn't help to solve this issue. I removed AudioFX, can this be the reason?
It's difficult to describe the issue "cheap tinny", but I think the audio drivers have problems to divorce the difference frequences.
On RR 5.85. the speaker was more "smooth" and the frequences were divorced much better.
Sorry for my bad english and the critic. I think I'm an individual case and other people don't have the problems which I have, but in my case, the Mod seems not to improve the audio quality.

I've heard from @I_Raptor_I that RR already has a loss in audio quality. I advise the use of another ROM and if the tinnyness persists use the attached Sauron zip.
The Poweramp problem is probably due to DVC (Direct Volume Control) in their FAQ they state it may cause issues with 24-bit or HQ audio. The native libraries issue is not related to Ainur as it doesn't touch that file.
About the audio. ROM (which Sauron edits) isn't the only thing that contributes. the HAL and kernel do too, so RR's bad audio may not be able to be fixed or corrected by Ainur but we'll take a look into it.
Ok guys, @LazerL0rd is kindly developing a very nice Oreo kernel for our Le Max 2 improving the speeds dramatically and most importantly audio, he has already optimized our Qualcomm DSP, expect a very nice audio experience on Oreo from now on so stay tuned and make sure to thank LazerL0rd for his hard work, he doesn't even have a Le Max 2 and yet he is spending hours making this kernel for us
Magisk viper?
I have installed viper on RR Oreo via magisk and audio quality is now on point with how it worked through flashing viper and Dolby Atmos on the nugart RR via twrp. There are a couple of things to consider though, viper must be activated before listening to music through your app, viper does not work over Bluetooth by default in viper meaning you must go to viper settings and set mode to compatibility from normal and then viper will work over Bluetooth. The last thing, and I can't remember if this was true on nugart but viper seams to only work with music that you have downloaded to your device and will not work with streaming music from the web.

[GUIDE] Get perfect surround sound from phone speaker with dolby atmos and viper4a

INTRODUCTION
*WARNING USE AT YOUR OWN RISKS*
Though the poco F1 has stereo speakers, the earpiece is sort of weak in comparison to bottom one and so the sound quality falls short when compared to other phones with dual speakers. With this guide, you can make your phone sound much balanced, immersive and better. Basically what it does is increase audio coming out from earpiece by using viper in combination with Dolby. Also this does not increases sound from earpiece beyond max level but instead reduces volume of bottom speaker slightly so it will not damage your speaker
REQUIREMENTS
Any custom rom with magisk and permissive SElinux
STEPS
1. Flash permissiver zip or use SElinux switcher to make SElinux permissive for Dolby module to work
2. Flash viper4a rootless zip in TWRP
3. Flash v4afx zip in magisk then reboot and test if Viper4A is successfully installed and working
4. Flash ACDB zip first in magisk then flash dolby audio zip and then reboot. You should now have moto audio app installed and working.
5. Put XHR WideFX irs file to main storage/Android/data/com.pittvandewitt.viperfx/files/Kernel
6. In Viper, enable convolver then choose the file to enable it.
7. For dolby, the default settings (smart audio) is great but personally I use film mode with surround sound and volume leveller enabled.
I have tested this in evolution X rom and it should work in other roms also. For stock rom it may require a custom kernel. If Dolby Atmos doesn't work then try Dolby Digital instead.
If you face issues like Dolby getting disabled automatically then heading to viper settings and switching Attach Audio Effects toggle or rebooting the system fixes it. If dolby app force closes then reflash it and clear catch after installation

Do you want to skip audio_policy patching? (Original acp before became 3in1 module)
Vol+ = yes, Vol- = no
Would you like to skip notification_helper remover?
Vol+ = yes, Vol- = no
Would you like to skip usb policy patching for usb dacs?
Vol+ = yes, Vol- = no
Should i skip this ? Or No ? Is this really matter ? because i really dont know what their usage for, so i just skip it
and also
on STEP 2, when i installing viper4a rootless in twrp it say done but i got red warning it say "unable to mount system"
so it is successfull or nah ? i confuse
i already installed v4afx via magisk ( STEP 3 ) and it working.

On first choose no then select patch (new logic) then again choose no for notification helper and select remove volume listener library
Even if you skipped it wouldn't matter much because ACP is used just to fix audio not working in some apps and it does slightly enhances audio quality and volume.
For usb dac you can choose yes if you don't use wired headphones from usb c port
For viper though, you shouldn't get that warning
Maybe problem could be in your twrp
Manually mount system in twrp then try flashing again. If it didn't work you may have to reflash recovery
But you said that it is working? Did you tested the audio also? Because the magisk module only installs the app and some configs. The drivers are installed from recovery. You can also tap on the chip like icon button in viper and it should show the driver info and enabled as yes properly

Yes even tho i got warning, but it properly working. I already use it like 6hour, all is working fine.
but when i installing Dolby Atmos, i got bootloop and force me to bootloader. but when restarting phone i can access twrp, just removing them in module via twrp everything is back normal.
but i think it doesnt support latest MIUI Global 11.0.4 ? i got stock MIUI11
Anyway, after wiping module via twrp my viper now doesnt have driver on the app. i already doing the exactly same step 1 - 3 to install viper and it didnt work rightnow. driver still doesnt work even tho i tried installing this many times.
I already go to viper4x thread, someone say need to overwrite 2 file ( post-fs-data.sh & sepolicy.rule ) but still doesnt fix driver.
maybe you know how to ?

Though the poco F1 has stereo speakers, the earpiece is kinda weak in comparison to bottom one and so it doesn't give that true stereo like audio performance (surround sound) compared to other phones with dual speakers. But with this guide, you can make your phone sound much balanced, immersive and better with Dolby Atmos and Viper. It actually feels like if the sound is coming towards you and not from the side
This requires the XHR WideFX irs. This is the only one I found till now which worked so perfectly with atmos after testing 500+ irs files.
REQUIREMENTS
Any android 9+ rom with magisk and permissive SElinux
STEPS
1. Install Audio Compability Patch first in magisk then reboot
2. Flash viper4a rootless zip in TWRP
3. Flash v4afx zip in magisk then again reboot and confirm if Viper4A is successfully installed and working
4. Flash Dolby Atmos zip file in magisk (you can download it from guitardedhero's post also for new version) and reboot. You should have both Dolby Atmos and Viper4A working at this point
5. Now to get that stereo sound effect, put XHR WideFX irs file in main storage/Viper4Android/Kernel folder
6. Open Viper and enable convolver then choose the same.
You can now test the sound and enjoy the stereo sound effect. It is best for gaming or while watching movies.
I have tested this in evolution X 4.0 rom and it should work in other roms also but I am not sure for OOS. For stock rom it may require a custom kernel. If it works in your rom then please comment down below so that others could also know it.
If you face issues regarding Dolby getting disabled automatically then heading to viper settings and switching Attach Audio Effects toggle or rebooting the system fixes it.

I have personally tested it in PE pie and Evo X 10 version. But this one should work in any android 10 based custom rom as long as you don't have any other audio mods installed conflicting it or else you may require AML also.

Viper is working fine but after installing Dolby Atmos and rebooting i am stuck at Fastboot, had to remove the dolby module.
Is this related to Miui 11 or some selinux problem??
Please suggest some workaround.

Looks like it doesn't work in miui as of now
But you can try dolby digital instead which is also good. Dolby Atmos is still like an early release and currently only works in custom roms and kernels
But remember to choose the IRS file in viper. That makes the earpiece work more balanced. Dolby is just to further enhance the sound quality.

Make sure that SELinux is permissive as they will not work in enforcing
Flash permissiver zip file to fix it
I am also currently on PE+ latest and have not encountered any such issues
My recommendation is use Dolby digital instead as it is more stable (v7.2)

[HOW-TO] Install Android 10 on HTC U11+

hey guys want to write this guide to show you steps and fixes to get Android 10 working good on our dead htc u11+ (working with both QuackPhh and Havoc releases from treble project)
1. flash stock PIE rom, you can find it here: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=search&s=2Q4DIMG you must flash it from download mode by placing the .zip inside SD card after preparing it with RUU Decryption Tool.
2. install TWRP (this version: https://github.com/sabpprook/androi...es/download/0.0.1/twrp-3.3.1-0-ocm_190501.img ) with fastboot using this command: fastboot flash recovery XXX.img (where XXX.img is name of twrp image you just downloaded)
3. inside TWRP wipe data, system, dalvik cache
4. download Havoc 3.5 rom here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/ha...ficial-arm64-aonly-gapps-nosu.img.xz/download (if you want to choose another rom you can, just check is variant ARM64 A-Only) then place it on SD card and flash from TWRP (don't reboot)
5. download PhhMagisk here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZgYuaN-sklg0ycDue08WtKsMFmzWsI6F/view (standard magisk won't work) then place it on SD card and flash from TWRP (don't reboot)
6. inside TWRP go to wipe -> system -> resize file system (do this 2 times as at first try you will get error)
7. reboot
8. rom is now booting and working.
FIXES:
-for better camera quality i suggest you to download this GCam version: https://f.celsoazevedo.com/file/cfiles/gcm1/GCam_7.3.018_Urnyx05-v1.7-fix.apk and then go to Phh Treble Settings -> Qualcomm features and tick Use alternate camera profile (this will make phone recording video at correct quality 1080p/4k)
-to make earpiece audio during call and bluetooth multimedia audio working you must place the 3 files included in htc_audio_bt_fix.rar i attached inside /root/vendor/etc and be sure to set permissions properly (look how permissions are set in original files before replacing, you can use Root Explorer or any other file browser with root support that allow to check and edit permissions) then you must disable from the paired bluetooth device Call Audio
now you have a working android 10 htc u11+ :victory::victory: i am using it as daily rom... you will love android 10!
only bugs i faced at the moment are:
- bluetooth audio not working with calls
- some rare freezes after unlocking phone from lockscreen
I keep getting stuck on ROM loading screen, I try reflashing the havoc os system image, then PhhMagisk, but still no luck!
I had to follow this guide all the way from the start and got the phone to boot, but once I copied the htc_audio_bt_fix.rar files to /vendor/etc/ and edited its permissions and rebooted the phone and stuck at the loading screen all over again :/
Now I have the phone running but no luck with any sound on my bluetooth earphones
I have placed the rar files as stated and the permissions are exactly as the files before had them rw--r--r, for all 3 of them.
Does the quack build support Bluetooth audio calls? I don't want to go back to pie, anyone know a working GSI Android 10 for the U11+ with BT call support?

1. flash stock PIE rom, you can find it here: https://androidfilehost.com/?w=search&s=2Q4DIMG you must flash it from download mode by placing the .zip inside SD card after preparing it with RUU Decryption Tool.
2. install TWRP (this version: https://github.com/sabpprook/androi...es/download/0.0.1/twrp-3.3.1-0-ocm_190501.img ) with fastboot using this command: fastboot flash recovery XXX.img (where XXX.img is name of twrp image you just downloaded)
3. inside TWRP wipe data, system, dalvik cache
4. download Havoc 3.5 rom here: https://sourceforge.net/projects/ha...ficial-arm64-aonly-gapps-nosu.img.xz/download (if you want to choose another rom you can, just check is variant ARM64 A-Only) then place it on SD card and flash from TWRP (don't reboot)
5. download PhhMagisk here: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1ZgYuaN-sklg0ycDue08WtKsMFmzWsI6F/view (standard magisk won't work) then place it on SD card and flash from TWRP (don't reboot)
6. inside TWRP go to wipe -> system -> resize file system (do this 2 times as at first try you will get error)
7. reboot
8. rom is now booting and working.

So I have asked at the relevant threads regarding any word on when a bluetooth fix should be expected, but do you by any chance have any idea about that?
Because I have to decide whether to wait (if the fix maybe right around the corner or smth) or revert back to a stable pie build.

Great idea! I'll find him and hit him up. I'll post here and let you guys know if it works for me.
Hey, this is great news for me, but there's one, very important question - is there a way to use Edge Sense with this? I've seen some Magisk module re-activating the analogue feature on modded Pixels, but I haven't seen anything like that for HTC - could that work? I use Edge Sense regularly and losing it would stop me from any modding.
I downloaded the stock PIE rom from the URL provided by you, and decrypt it by RUU Decryption Tool. And now I got some img files inside two folders - firmware and system.
But then how to convert them into zip file so that I can place it inside SD card? Can you tell me in details? Sorry I'm a newbie in flashing roms.

I flashed the boot.img and system.img by fastboot into my phone instead of placing some zip into SD card, and followed the remaining steps including fixes. Now my phone is working!
However my phone can not recognize if I have plugged in the earphone or not, and of course no sound from earphone. Do you guys have any suggestions about it? Maybe I should flashed vendor.img in the first step as well?

Flashing the vendor.img would change nothing, it is the same as it was before. The fix for earphone audio has been in the post for a long time, but there is no fix for using earphones/headphones.
Did you find the earpiece speaker fix?
---------- Post added at 03:52 PM ---------- Previous post was at 03:46 PM ----------
This is incredible, I've been following phhuson's Treble GSI development for 2 years now hoping that someone would find a fix for the earpiece speaker during calls.
I tried doing everything at once and got a bootloop, but then I tried every step separately and after a few days my U11+ is working great!
How long did it take you to find that GCam port? I've been using Arnova's for ages and could never find a good one for the U11+ before trying the one you've linked.
I'm really glad we got the earpiece fix, the U11+ still has really great hardware and the poorly made Android Pie port and old security patch was tempting me to upgrade to something new. Now I think I can hold onto it for an extra year.
My camera doesn't work...
After enable "Use alternate camera profile" then reboot , it still not working....
Is there any solution?

What's your vendor version?
I use Android Pie vendor with Havoc OS 3.7 work fine.
Maybe you should flash Pie RUU first then install the Havoc OS.
---------- Post added at 10:51 PM ---------- Previous post was at 10:41 PM ----------
Here is the way to use Edge Sense with Havoc OS.
1. Install com.htc.sense.edgesensorservice.apk (Resigned with Havoc OS keystore)
2. Install App Systemizer in Magisk
3. Systemize EdgeSensorService
4. Reboot
Now Edge Sense work fine.
And if you want to setup Edge Sense, open terminal
Code:
su
am start com.htc.sense.edgesensorservice/.ui.SettingsMainActivity
Recommended to use Edge Sense Plus to manage it so you don't need to setup in this dirty(?) way every time.

I flashed 2.15.709.1 Pie Ruu before install the "Phh AOSP Android 10"
(Havoc based on Phh)
TWRP Version : 190501
And it still can't encrypt data

Oh TWRP can't decrypt data is normal.
The thing you can do is to prevent system from encrypting data.
This thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/universal-dm-verity-forceencrypt-t3817389
Just wipe data in TWRP and flash the zip file upon
---------------------------------------------------------------------
And wait, I see XDDD
I flashed Phh AOSP before, the camera don't work neither.
You can find the issue on the Phh's github, it seems never work and no fix for our device.
So....please use Havoc OS

Does Havoc os running smooth on U11+?
Phh AOSP has some bugs but it's smooth tho.

It runs smooth for me, but for the first week I kept crashing at the lock screen randomly and had to do a reset. Sometimes a normal reset would just bootloop or crash on the lockscreen again. So I had to specifically go into download mode -> bootloader mode -> recovery mode (TWRP) -> "reboot to system" which would let me get past the lockscreen without crashing.
The battery life and thermal performance is MUCH better, it's too early for me to say but I think it's pretty close to Oreo battery life and heat management might be EVEN BETTER.
I still think that HTC Oreo was smoother, but most phones weren't as smooth as the U11+ on Oreo.
The camera performance is definitely worse though, that could just be because we're forced to use the GCam port instead of the stock HTC app but it's inconsistent with lighting and sometimes crushes black levels on people's faces too much. If I find improved settings or a better GCam port then I'll link it here for you guys to use
I'm pretty sure that TWRP not being able to decrypt data is a bug with that specific version of TWRP, but I don't think there's another TWRP image that will work on the U11+ so we have to deal with it.

How do you do step 1? I couldn't find any information about where to find the HavocOS Keystore or what it is? I assume it's an app to resign APKs for HavocOS?
Thanks for helping an ignorant person like me
