As we all know the OS is 32 bit so there is no option Portrait mode. But HDR+ can capture great pictures obviously better than stock camera.

The APK shared is found. Not made by me. But hats off to developer who develope this for 32 bit Rom.
Camera2api should be enabled before installing otherwise app will crash.
Not know how to enable then do some search work on xda or google. Searching is free.

Yes coz magisk will be flashed with TWRP. There is also other method to root without twrp but i haven't tried that.

Hi, the best way is using a magisk mudule, if you have a stock ROM.

On HavocOS (64 Bits), I tried many GCam version, but all are very unstable ... :'(
Example :
- GCam 7.2 for Redmi Note 5 (It has the same camera module except the selfie one) : On cyanogenmods site --> Very unstable
- Gcam_6.1.021_Advanced_V1.7.190716.1800 : Found on this post --> Crash at launch
- MGC_6.1.021_BSG_Arnova_TlnNeun_V1.3.030119.0645 : Found on this post --> Very unstable

Hello,
I tried color os camera and its Hd plugin but can't see much of a difference.I mean,hd plugin is assumed to take better processing and clarity pics and should've size of around 20mb or so(as told by ppl) but in my side it only takes around 5mb pics and i dunno why it's happening to me only.I tried on many roms but still the same.In settings it shows 50mp resolution.

zsl = zero shutter lag, turn it off from the settings of the camera, refer to the screenshot you have attached in your op.

Tried on marshmallow,turned off zsl,still the same,3-4mb pics.

why don't you try oppo (coloros) camera 2.67 with hd plugin and report back. Here, flash this zip: link
Edit: The version you are using is coloros camera by andriman which may or may not work properly with marshmallow so use one in the link I've provided you.

Yes you need to remove old camera, and flash this : working link
There's a zip file which removes andriman's camera (which you have) and replaces it with coloros cam 2.67
If I find the link I'll post here, in the meantime can you clean flash and use the link I've given above?

Hey I tried the cam 2.67 and after using the uninstall-andriman.zip and then flashing cam 2.67,I can't see the camera icon anymore :/

strange, go into settings -> apps, and check if the 'Camera' (round orange icon) is installed. If yes, uninstall it manually and if not open zip file (which you downloaded from the link 23mb zip file) and manually install camera app along with the plugins.

Why flash an entire ROM for it? Any Gapp package bigger than Pico can do this on any Android phone with a front cam (probably 5.0+). Maybe Pico can do this too, I haven't checked.
Edit: sorry, my mistake. I didn't see that 'MIUI' is written on the thread name.
Everything work fine, the Face ID Unlocked work very well in good light conditions even doing "faces"... The Rom in general work perfectly, just there is not Spanish language, just EN, Ch, Rs and others, but no Spanish....
This is working fine and now I am using this rom as daily driver... Face I'd works great..

Flash xiaomi eu mi mix 2s twrp through fastboot(https://androidfilehost.com/?fid=818070582850507462), wipe and flash the system image to system.
You can just flash the system image through fastboot, but custom recovery is just more convenient.

Compiled, it boots.
I tried to make TWRP based on this kernel, but it stuck at the first logo screen. Sad.

Don't know, in DP2 there's only the snapdragon camera but you can install the google one via play store.
It haven't the nexus/pixel features like automatic HDR but it still works better then MIUIs one

Can't seem to run this update from fresh install. boots up allright and then asks me to unlock the phone and then i just get a blank screen. have you installed this yet?
