I installed it but the speaker I'm talking to on the phone is poorly heard. What are the best settings that can be made to run the app well?

There are recorder apps, look on market, sense, and miui have a sound recorder built in. And miui has a recorder that can be used during phone calls.

[Q] Any decent call recorder app for Sensation?

I am looking for a decent two way call recorder app for my rooted Sensation. Anyone having good experiences with any app? If so, which app, and did you use a special ROM or kernel to enable it to work?
I do not want to have to turn on speakerphone for the recorder to hear the other side of the conversation. A lot of apps have this problem.
Maybe this will help??:

I tried the one shared in that thread, which was also shared in another thread. It didn't work at all until I switched to Bricked Kernal. Then it worked, but very poorly. The other voice was extremely quiet and my voice had additional noise and was loud but not clear.
I tried DSoft CallRecorder and it crashed when I dialed the phone.
Then I tried Total Recall (default settings) and that works. The other voice is still slightly low in volume but nowhere near as bad as I got with the recorder shared in this thread. I am still on Bricked. If I am going to go with Total Recall, do I need to stay on Bricked Kernal? Or should I go back to what I had before, which I think was an HTC kernal?
Also, curious if anyone say good results with any other call recording application?

Call Recorders

Anyone tried both CallRecorder and Incall recorder on a galaxy s2 (not rooted) I have incall recorder installed at the moment but my voice is very quiet on the recording but the persons voice I am calling is very good. Audio source is set to phone line (recommended) Is CallRecorder any better?
This belongs in the questions forum, not this forum. I would answer your question if I could but I'm on a different phone. I'm pretty sure In Call Recorder, which I have installed, will record both sides at full volume on your GS2 if you use speaker phone. Good luck.

I found my Moto G to have a similar problem with the stock app, recorded audio was almost impossible to understand due (in large part) to very high compression rates. Using a different app that allows you control over the quality of the audio helps, though the microphones on any phone are meant to pick up audio from much closer up than most other microphones. I really like Smart Voice Recorder, it's easy to use and has some great features. [https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.andrwq.recorder]

1) Moto g doesnt have a stock app for voice recording
2) I clearly mentioned that I had the problem with smart voice recorder. And you are suggesting me that same app.
3) I'm not sure which phone you are using and I dont think you even read my question

Phonecall Echo on OP7Pro when Call Recording

After updating my OP7Pro from Pie to Android 10, an issue popped up where people on the other end of a phone call would complain that there was an echo.
I did some experimenting and it appears that this issue is linked to call recording, specifically OnePlus's native call recorder.
I found that the echo only occurs when all 3 of these things are present:
1. I have OnePlus's native call recording enabled (either through the magisk module, joneplus tools app, or a Tasker profile)
2. I am recording the call (either automatically or by manually hitting the record button)
3. It is not on speakerphone
This leads me to believe that, for whatever reason, when recording a call, it activates the top mic and the person on the other end of the line is hearing their own audio from the ear speaker through the top mic. Specifically, this is an issue in normal (non speakerphone) mode only because it is not supposed to be in dual mic mode as opposed to speakerphone.
I tried using engineering mode disable the top microphone but I could not get the setting to stick (I may have been missing something).
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Great observation! I haven't been able to figure out a solution to this. Let me know if you found something.

Happy to say that this is solved now (with a workaround). I was never able to get the native OnePlus call recorder working without echo but the Magisk module, Skvalex Call Recorder, works perfectly.
