Headphones problem (Jack port and BT) - Huawei Mate 9 Questions & Answers

Few days after Update to Pie my Huawei Mate 9 has strange issue. The phone detect everytime headphones (you can see icon of headphones) but sometimes the sound from YT,Netflix etc goes not through headphones but via speakers... it happens with headphones connected via jack port and also BT headphones. Strange is that the sound from a phone call goes always via headphones (if connected) - so I think this is a software problem not hardware. I thought its a Pie problem and I installed Oreo back (via Hisuite by restoring Oreo)- but then I had this problem still in Oreo. I tried to: make a factory reset, wipe cache partition, install apps step by step (not restoring a copy).
I noticed that if the sound doesn`t go via headphones, than I have to make a call (choose only the number) and than it is working again (YT,netflix etc)- connecting and disconnecting headphones(jack or BT) doesn`t help. I have this problem in 2-3 cases of 10...- so not all the time but it is very annoying .
I have not Idea anymore what can I do to solve this problem...has someone an Idea ?

probably I found by accident what was the reason - the app for DVR device caused this problem (its newest actualization) . I installed previous Version and it works so far... uffffffff

[Q] Sensation XE: Bluetooth headphone problem.

I am hoping somebody would help solve my problem. I have a Calypso SP bluetooth headphone. My phone shows it's connected to the device but the sound from music player still come out from the main speaker.When i got the sound to the headphone, there's this crackling sound coming out. I have tried pairing and unpairing the device a few times, but the results are still the same. It doesn't have any problem when paired with my galaxy s.
same problem here i would also like to know if there is a fix.
What ROM are you using?
IGNORE - misread your question, sorry. Many people experience poor A2DP audio quality on the Sensation. Some headsets seem to sound okay, others don't, even though they may be fine when used with other devices. Search and you'll find some info in various threads. More recent ROMs have solved or reduced the problem for some people.
Just a quick check, are you paired to your device for both phone and media audio?
To check, if you're using Gingerbread, go into Bluetooth Settings (settings/wireless and networks), then press and hold on the device you are connected to and select 'options' in the menu that pops up. This will take you to another menu where you can check which features you are connected to. Sometimes mine only connects to 'phone audio' on my headset and I have to re-enable media audio.
Thanks for the reply. My phone is on stock firmware. This problem only happened recently. Before this i never encounter this problem. I found another problem where the volume control doesn't work when I'm using bluetooth. The same problem also occurs when i use the original earphone where the volume control detects bluetooth device even when it's not paired. I tried resetting my phone earlier and the problem is still there. Maybe i'll take it to the service center and have it fixed.
Fixed, with some sacrifice..
After fiddling around the whole night, i tried to do the restore factory setting from the recovery mode. Somehow it fixed the problem. So it might be some software or an app bug that caused the problem. Now to do a some serious apps downloading and setup.

[Q] bluetooth pairing issue, how to solve?

Hello, so i bougth this great phone, but bluetooth pairing(+autoconnect) is not working at all.
So to the proplem. My opo IS paired with my alpine car stereo, but everytime i go to my car opo asks IF i want to pair it...and obviously it should just connect automatically since i have paired it earlier but no.
Is this some known issue with opo or my device just making me headtache?
IF anyone have had same proplems i would love to hear how you managed to fix it.
PS. All my old phones automatically connected to car stereo after pairing once, so its most definatly opo issue and not the alpine stereo.
Okey, i got this solved by doing 2 things, but because im stupid and didnt test it between these actions i cqnt say which one did the job or was both needed.
1. I cleared "paired devices memory" from my alpine stereo.
2. I cleared paired device list from my handset(opo)
Hope this will help someone else in future who got proplems with alpine receiver and opo.
Problem solved! bluetooth pairing and buffering issues
Hey problem solved
I had bluetooth pairing and buffering problems and now everything works perfectly. what I did was flash OPO_OxygenOS_1_0-modem-flashable.zip (you can find it somewhere in google docs..don't remember the link)
anyway after doing that everything works perfectly.
I am running cyanogen 12.1 nightly build from 20150601
then I flashed the modem.

Technical solution...too much ?
Hello All,
I too was facing issue with the Bluetooth connectivity. My headphone "Jabra Halo Smart" worked perfectly fine with other android devices but my OnePlus One. Issue i faced was that my at times my headphone would get detected but the headphone controls wont work. It was really irritating as i could not use the functionality of my headphones.
What i did was went into the Bluetooth options. Clicked on the setting icon beside my headphone and unchecked and rechecked the options.
Another action i performed was un-pairing the Bluetooth headphones from my device and resetting my headphones paired setting.
Third option was resetting the Jabra app that i installed on my mobile.
Fourth action is restarting your OnePlus device.
The above actions i performed in different orders. So one of them should surely help.
Suggestion provided by OnePlus Call Center: (which i did not need to try )
--> switch off the device
--> Press power+vol down button simultaneously
--> Select English language
--> wipe cache partition
--> wipe cache
--> reboot device
Advice while using Bluetooth headphones or speakers (especially Bluetooth devices having the functionality to connect multiple devices)...switch off the Bluetooth device and then switch off the Bluetooth of the host device (mobile, laptop, etc) and then connect the Bluetooth device to the other host device
Do not keep two host devices Bluetooth on...at times it causes to store the connection setting in the cache causing the Bluetooth device to act strangely. :cyclops: :cyclops: :cyclops:

Lg G Pro 2 D838 - Phone not detecting headphones (HELP)

Weird thing started happening to my phone... When I plug in a pair of headphones (with or without mic) the phone does not detect that they are plugged in! Sound always comes out of the speakers. I've used apps like SoundAbout to force sound through the headset jack and it seems to do the trick but I'm still trying to find a proper solution for this problem.
The odd thing is that if I turn off my phone, plug in a pair of headphones, and then turn my phone back on, once booted the phone will recognize that it has a pair of headphones plugged in and everything will be fine. It doesn't work when I unplug and try to replug. It only detects the headphones on boot.
1) Is there a solution to this?
2) Anyone know something about mechanics of the 3,5mm jack? How all of this works? It seems that on boot it always tries to check if headphones are plugged in but I suppose that something mechanical in the headphone jack must trigger the check after boot...
3) I have cleaned the jack properly so dirt is not a problem. I have also tried different headphones and none of them are detected.
4) I think that problem is not software related. I have booted my phone in Safe Mode and problem is still there.
If anyone have some suggestion please help!
Thanks in advance.

EDIT: It was obviously a software problem. Yesterday I have updated my phone to new firmware v20b (SEA) and now my headset is working properly. When i plug in my headphones there is an icon in notification drawer showing that they are connected. After an upgrade of firmware I lost root so I suppose that somehow that was the source of this anoying bug. Maybe one of the apps that aquire root privilegies was causing this but I have never managed to investigate what's really going on. I tought that it was a 3,5mm jack (faulty hardware) problem...

Strange Bluetooth issue

Hi you all, I have a non common bluetooth problem. My S6 is running Xtrestolite with android 6.0. My phone can connect BT to my cars, my earset and my soundbar to play music and it work well even on my earset. BUT, nothing for voice call, the call connect and silence for everyone. There is no voice at all, but BT is connected, and all infos on my cars radio like timer, mute and others work well ( okay mute cannot be more muted ). So I tried 1/8 headset for music it works, did not try yet one with a mic, but I'll do it ASAP. I tried to reprogram with odin default OS, with factory settings, and that way force all components to be re-write ( Bootloader, Radio , etc ), issue still present !!! Try to clean micro usb connector, nothing !! Try to clean audio jack, but wasn't really sure if it was well cleaned.
Do anybody here have an idea of what I could try, test or do to eliminates possibilities ??
I am thinking that maybe some corosion could be in the audiojack, somewhere and let the phone think that there is an audio jack connected, and then sent the voice to it...but how it could be tested before to try to open the phone to clean it properly and risk to damaged the LCD ???
Thank a lot for all of your advices

Hello. Any updates on the topic?
Let me add my story here too. The thing is- my phone is mi note 10 lite.
Here it goes. So, recently, about a week or 2 ago the Bluetooth audio stopped working completely on my device. I don't understand where to look, and how did it happen. The phone was global official rom, locked bootloader no root etc.
The situation is as follows : the headphones /car audio system can connect and pair. But there's no sound when you press the play button. Moreover, the Bluetooth works, at least I think it works also because I have a huawei watch connected to the phone. And I have notifications everything is fine.
So during these 2 weeks I tried to clear cache/bt and wifi settings (no need to tell you that my headphones connect and play music with no problems with other devices. Tried on my wife's p20 pro.) i tried to make factory reset. No results. Today I even rolled back on android 11 rom from 2021. Offcical rom. Sadly nothing changed. Everything works perfectly, except Bluetooth audio.
Have redmi buds 4 pro and amazfit powerbuds. With my phone they connect but no audio. With huawei p20 pro they connect and work how they should. Also they have no problems with my mi tab 5.
Don't know what to do.
