Looking for a compatible wireless charging pad which will support 40 W - Huawei P30 Pro Accessories

Hi there
I am expecting to receive my P30 Pro next week in Canada. May I know do you guys have any leads to get a 40W wireless charging pad ?
Please kindly share with us here.
Highly appreciated in advance.

Wireless Charging is at 15W. Hf

Sorry for my own confusion and I mixed up the 40W fast wired charging with the speed of the wireless charging, so you guys can close this thread now.

How about can anyone recommend a good 15w wireless charger. There are so many charging pads to choose from and I bet a lot are crap

What about the original wireless charger from Huawei? Isn't it good enough? AFAIK, it is 15W (the maximum available for wireless charging for this phone, no?)

Hello guys does anybody know when the official Huawei powerbank will be on sale.[emoji6]

So I just ordered an mt7-l09 version of the ascend mate 7 and was wondering if it comes with a US plug wall charger? If it doesn't can someone recommend one that works well that fits US wall plugs? Thanks in advance!

Fast Chargers

Any ideas on where to get a UK plug fast charger? I hear the Mate 8 plug works for fast charging.
I guess I won't even be able to find a car charger as well so my old fast chargers are useless now!

I own a Mate 8 and I tried with the quick charger on P9 Lite and it's just charging normal
It's not a feature the quick charge on the P9 Lite. Hardware it's not there...
Oh I thought it was the same as P9 with hisilicon fats charge.but guess not...

Charger included is "slow charge" 1A. Device is capable of 2A (not "fast charge")

Hi, I am planning to buy this phone and the only thing holding me back is the slow charging time with stock 1A charger
Your comment provides some hope that phone can handle 2A [emoji846]
Is this your experience/observation or you found reference of this capability online?

I found this
Although the Huawei P9 lite can receive two amps and 10 watts of power from a charger, Huawei includes only a one amp and five watt power supply with the P9 lite, which results in rather slow loading times.

Thanks
This is promising
However, couple of users have replied in other threads that phone doesn't charge any faster with 2A charger
If only someone who had this device could actually test and confirm...

If i understand for proper charging you need 2A charger and 2A capable USB. I ordered from ebay OEM Huawei 2A 5V charger and 2A 5V capable USB (Nikilin) just to test will it work.

Great
Though I think any 2A charger and cable could probably work
Better be safe and use Huawei charger and best cable as you mentioned above
Do share your findings please...

Hi I've ordered a 2.4A charger (ravpower) but with ampere app I see it charges slower than the original one, the same using a 2.4 powerbank
Is this phone compatible with 2.0A charging or you need the original huawei 2.0 charger?
@Bumblecito can you please check how much charges with the mate 8 charger? Thanks

I was also misled by the same reviews and raised this query on xda
Several members have now confirmed it is limited to 1A
Guess those were just incorrect reviews...[emoji53]

I spend a lot of time reviewing the dmesg output from the kernel and I have often seen mention an "FCC Limit" during charging. It is possible that the kernel is imposing a "limit" to be FCC compliant... Just a thought...

Mmm, but maybe if it was limited, is not a good idea to unlock it, right?

This is what I keep seeing in the log: https://github.com/Meticulus/androi...rivers/power/hisi/coul/hisi_coul_core.c#L2634
What I am seeing and measuring is that mine, the 3GB dual sim model, max current draw is 1.08 Amp.
This is the max the device will charge at no matter what if you connect a quick charge ... even a nuclear powerplant that can provide a billion Amps at 5V as long as the kernel or charging circuit is like now. A bit painful but I find the battery life to be good. Good enough so it won't be a deal breaker.
I've had phones that died while using the GPS in the car and on a charger, this one doesn't if you use a quality charger and cable.

Quick Charging Compatibility

Hi There,
Thinking of picking up the Honor 8 while I travel to the States. Just wanted to ask someone to clear up my confusion. So basically my question is:
Is the Honor 8 compatible with any Quick Charger ?
I know that most people have been saying that only the provided wall charger will quick charge the Honor 8 but , please excuse my ignorance/lack of knowledge here, if the provided charger is 9V/2A/18W , wouldn't a generic charger with those specs quick charge it as well ?
Also does the USB Type-C cable come into play with regards to the charging speed.
Thanks for any help. Just want to know because I'd like to have piece of mind that if I lose/break the provided wall charger I could buy another without paying the price of an Honor-Branded one.
Thanks

In Theory, regardings power supplies you're right.
The problem is more advanced: The charger provides 5V, (maybe even limited to 500mA) until the device handshakes successfully with the charger, and tells "hi there, I'm speaking hisilicon fast charging protocol. Oh, you do too? Great. How is the weather over there? Okay, enough smalltalk, please provide me with 9V, up to 3A, i can handle that without going into a puff of smoke".
The charger then reassures every 100ms or so, that the device connected is still the same... and keeps providing 9V
With a QC based charger, it might go "hi there I'm speaking hisilicon fast charging protocol. Oh sorry, i don't understand QC2.0. I can provide you with this legacy charging protocol". And the charger should recognize that it can provide 5V,2A - which will help, but won't be quite as fast as quick charging...
Lets see when Anker or some other company bring out a dual-lingual charger...
You should go with huawei's charger.

Thank you for your question regarding the Honor 8 and it's capabilities with quick charging. Your phone comes with a 9 V 2 A high voltage quick charger. It also supports 5 V 2 A chargers. Make sure you buy an official Huawei 9 V 2 A charger; unofficial quick chargers will not work properly. If you need a quick charger, you can buy one from Huawei Vmall or official Huawei experience shops. NOTE: The FRD-L02 shipped to the Indian market comes with a 5 V 2 A charger. (NS)

Alternate Turbo Charger

Hi guys,
My current Moto charger is not working due to some technical issue. The original one is very expensive to buy.
Can you guys suggest an alternate charger brand which supports Turbo Charging and would also not harm the phone battery?
Really appreciate the support we get here.
Thanks.
