There is an app by chainfire for wallpapers with cut out hole wallpaper.
It allow you to change brightness and contrast etc.

Hi, does anyone know how to set your wallpaper so that it doesn't always turn to a landscape view, but a portrait one? I don't want to have the wallpaper pan each time I scroll to a different page. I just want image to remain static while I switch pages.
I tried Dodol's wallpaper maker but it's always force closing.. Please help!

Picspeed hd wallpaper app
Have you tried Wallpaper Wizardrii from Play store? Works well for me. I prefer no scroll as well. Option in settings of Wizardrii for no scroll.

Would rotating the picture before you apply it as your wallpaper work..? I think it would give you what your look for...

I am trying to fit a 1280x960 sized wallpaper on my ADW Launcher screens. no matter what I do, it gets only first half (top) of the image to the screen.
What is wrong with my settings ? How can I set correctly ?

This is a well known issue with ADW. People are getting around it by using a free app called MultiPicture Live Wallpaper. It will not hack up your wallpapers (plus it has some other cool features)....

I managed to get over it by resizing the image to 1280x1280 (adding blackspace to bottom)

I got this by taking a screen shot of nova launcher on my phone and then cropped it. It looks good only if you use it for portrait mode without scrolling else those dots/pixels look stretched. I have attached the screen shot as well as the cropped image. If you have a tablet then try taking a screen shot on it and you might get a larger background image.

Hi there,
So I use Nova Launcher and I have styled it like the new 4.4 launcher where my main screen is to the left and others on the right. I really want this particular wallpaper and the main feature is in the centre. When I apply it moves to the center of my four pages but I want it centered on my 1 home screen. When I apply its fine but after about 3 mins it auto switches! Does someone have a fix?
Is it the launcher?
Also wallpaper scrolling on or off is no fix!

ALSo: cropping the photo zooms in SK that also no fix!

Use the portrait option while applying the wallpaper so that it remains the same on all the screens...(SS attached)

Thanks for the reply, but how do you get that option? I set my wallpaper via Gallery-> Select Photo->Set as Wallpaper

Touch and hold on homescreen and select wallpapers.. Select gallery from there and choose the wallpaper.. You will get that option!

Ok, if you didn't already, try installing a third party wallpaper pick from the Playstore and try again (it used to work for me)

What I do is make screenshot of the wallpaper and then apply it with photo's.
