[Guide] How to Restore Baseband/IEMI/Serial Number Nokia X5, SP-Flash Tool - Nokia X5 (Nokia 5.1 Plus) Guides, News, Discussion

Hi guys,
Note: I am not responsible to the brick device if you will not follow the guide step by step, this is very important to do each and every step, never think to skip any step or may be you will have a total loss, but this guide is tested and working for those who accidentally selected (format + download) while converting from X5 to 5.1 or while re-flashing.
Nokia X5 to 5.1 Plus convert Guide Link: https://forum.xda-developers.com/nokia-x5/how-to/guide-how-to-convert-nokia-x5-to-global-t3858253
Note: The only thing i want to tell you that if you followed the guide in Link above of converting Nokia X5 to 5.1 Plus, than you must have a file from step 1 that is Backup_0, and that file is the only hope to save your device Base band/IEMEI/Serial Number.
So keep in mind please always read follow step 1 and backup your current firmware that have very important partitions, and can save your bricked Nokia X5 device:
BTW I HAVE UPLOADED REQUIRE FILES FROM MY BACKUP HERE BELOW ON REQUEST BECAUSE EVERYONE MAY NOT HAVE PREVIOUS BACKUP, BECAUSE BASE BAND FILES FOR NOKIA X5 ARE SAME FOR ALL PHONES
At Special Request:
I Have added a link required files from my backup here, you can use these if you did not made the backup:
If you are using windows-10 than please follow this guide to disable drivers Signature Verification or your will be unable to connect phone in fastboot mode, you will hear sound connect/disconnect again and again if Driver signature Verification will be enabled in Win-10,
Link Guide: https://www.howtogeek.com/167723/ho...8.1-so-that-you-can-install-unsigned-drivers/
I will try my bests to make the guide as simple as i can:
So let' Start:
First of all What you need before starting the process to restore Base Band/IEMI/Serial Number
1: SP flash tool: please download latest version from this Link: https://spflashtool.com/download/
2: 7-zip: Please download 7-zip from the link: https://www.7-zip.org/download.html
3: Global Firmware: Please download (PDA-1100-0-00WW-B01_unpacked.7z) from this Link: https://tpedutw-my.sharepoint.com/:f...UN3tQ?e=wOfytH
4: Md5Chcker: Please download Md5 checker from this link: http://getmd5checker.com/
5: Adb Platform tools : Please download from this Link: https://mega.nz/#!4rR0AAZI!N3l0FuPDrtej2GwU4VXmehBbLs2TvIlADYXcQv_Nf1Q
That's all, now please create a folder Nokia X5 in any PC disk and please copy all above files there this i am only guiding that you can open everything from one folder, not to move in multiple folders.
Now we are starting the to Restore Base Band/IEMI/Serial Number: (Follow each step carefully)
1: Extract downloaded firmware (PDA-1100-0-00WW-B01_unpacked.7z) in same Nokia X5 folder.
2: Go to Extracted folder and make a copy of " MT6771_Android_scatter.txt" separately and rename it to "proinfo_MT6771_Android_scatter.txt" (make sure do not write .txt because obviously this is .txt file.)
3: Now copy the "proinfo_MT6771_Android_scatter.txt" back to firmware folder (PDA-1100-0-00WW-B01_unpacked)
Now the very important part need to perform carefully:
3: Now right click on "proinfo_MT6771_Android_scatter.txt" and open with word pad that is normally available in windows or you can use any text editor to edit the file.
4: Once you opened the file please follow below edits in file:
4.1: Press ctrl+f and search (partition_index: SYS15) make it look like below:
- partition_index: SYS15
partition_name: proinfo
file_name: proinfo.img
is_download: true
4.2: Press ctrl+f and search (partition_index: SYS6) make it look like below:
- partition_index: SYS6
partition_name: nvcfg
file_name: nvcfg.img
is_download: true
4.3: Press ctrl+f and search (partition_index: SYS10) make it look like below:
- partition_index: SYS10
partition_name: protect1
file_name: protect1.img
is_download: true
4.4: Press ctrl+f and search (partition_index: SYS11) make it look like below:
- partition_index: SYS11
partition_name: protect2
file_name: protect2.img
is_download: true
After edit just save file by pressing ctrl+s, and close the file
5: Now go the the Backup_0 file that you saved earlier via "Readback" process in SP Flash Tool.
5.1: Right Click on file and open with 7-zip and you will see your backed up files in 7-zip.
5.2: Now press "ctrl" on your pc keyboard and select
"proinfo.img" "nvcfg.img" "nvram.img" "protect1.img" "protect2.img" "elabel.img"
5.3: Now right click on selected files and copy to extracted formware where you edited the scatter file.
6: Now open SP Flash tool and load " proinfo_MT6771_Android_scatter"
6.1: In SP Flash tool uploaded list scroll down to "Ik_a" partition and click on the loded file, change the file to "Ik_service.img"
6.2: Now Un-check all files in loaded list and just check "proinfo, nvcfg, protect1, protect2, and lk"
6.3 Now at SP flash tool select "Download only" and press download button to start. (make sure again you selected download only)
6.4: Now turn off you device and press "volume up and volume down" together and connect your device,
6.5: Process will be start at SP flash tool and after finish it will pop up download OK
7: Now reboot your device in "fastboot mode" and execute below commands:

-Open adb platform tools folder press "Shift+Right Click" open command prompt here.
7.1 : "fastboot oem dm-verity 85BC0D743F935BA9078DCB290FAD2194" (This is Random md5 you have to calculate by Md5 tool as you downloaded above)
7.3: "fastboot flash nvram nvram.img"
7.4: "fastboot flash elabel elabel.img"
7.5: "fastboot oem HALT"
Never write "fastboot reboot", diconnect cable and long press power button to reboot phone.
8: Now open SP Flash tool again and load "MT6771_Android_scatter"
8.1: Select "Firmware Upgrade" and press download button at SP Flash tool.

This group is for multiple devices ROMs, Debrick Help and many more
Tip-1: To generate your Md5 Checksum you can read the serial number at your box, or back of your phone and enter manually to generate Md5 Checksum.
Tip-2: If somehow your phone is off from long time please turn it on and then power off before flashing nvram. Or may be in Windows-10 it will not be recognized
Tip-3: It's much better to use Windows-7 to do this process because installation of drivers is typical and sometimes SP Flash tool stop responding suddenly.

Okay, I'm ready to be called a complete moron, but I want to check before I give up.
Due to an unfortunate series of events, the original backup I had is gone. I do know the original IMEI and I think I know the original serial number. So, is it possible to manually change it in the backup that was made after I lost them?
Side note, where exactly is the serial number on the box, since I couldn't find it there?

You can use my backup, may be it works for you, because you need 4 important files from backup..
I will upload link of my backup files, those only required to restore baseband/imei/serial, in Post#1, i think it will work because all Nokia x5 have same baseband

Thanks, I'm currently busy due to a deadline breathing down my neck, so I won't be able to try it right now. I'll be sure to report on how it goes when I do.
On a side note, the serial number is something that has confused me for years, some people use it as a synonym for IMEI, while others don't. So do I use my IMEI or do I go back to trying to find my serial which I can't actually find on the box...

I'm pretty sure it's obvious at this point that I'm not the type of person that should have messed with this, so final question. Is the serial number the last 6 digits of the IMEI, without the check digit?
(I'm really sorry if I'm being a pain)

No man, serial number is different and will be different , and starts with PDA , if you are unable to find the serial number and you know the IMEI, there are many websites can search serial number from IMEI, you can ask help.

I tried but when I try to flash nvram it fails and say the target device is locked, I tried unlocking bootloader but it also fails whenever I entered the command, initially it tells me that unlocking bootloader is not allowed so I turned OEM unlocking on from developer options but now if I enter the command it fails and say unknown command, please I don't know what else to do I can't make calls with the phone because the IMEI is missing

[GUIDE] Unlock Phone / Recover IMEI

ATTENTION:
I'm sorry I have been busy in the past months and let my xda account unattended. I currently don't own this device anymore. Anyways if someone wants to take over this thread and expand the tutorial by adding a video or photos are welcomed.
Caution:
THIS GUIDE IS INTENDED FOR ADVANCE USERS. A BACKGROUND KNOWLEDGE IS NEEDED. I RECOMMEND DOING SOME READING BEFORE TRYING THIS OUT.
This guide is to recover the IMEI. This happens when the LG Communication Partition has been corrupted, or you have a locked handset example locked to AT&T or any other provider.
Corruption of the IMEI is caused with a bug with the original Froyo firmware. This is provided in an internal use only document from LG but I failed to find the source.
Please be aware that you are dealing with the phone internal hardware and you can really mess up things. Continue at your own risk.
Requirements:
• Latest LG support usb drivers from the LG support site.
• Stock Rom preferably gingerbread v20p.
• Compressed file provided in the attachment section
• TI Omap driver included (OMAPFlashInstaller.msi)
• Infineon Driver included (FlashUSB_x86_x64_Drivers)
Flashing the CP and removing the SIM LOCK
1. Extract the files to a folder
2. Install the OMAP driver (OMAPFlashInstaller.msi) and the Infineon driver (FlashUSB_x86_x64_Drivers)
3. Shutdown your phone and remove the battery. Wait 5 seconds and insert the battery again.
4. Press and hold the “VOL+” and connect the USB cable to the computer and then while holding the VOL+ press and hold the PWR button until it vibrates. The phone should not boot up.
5. Let the TI OMAP drivers install
6. Open Windows Enabler.exe and activate it by clicking on the icon next to the windows system time at the bottom right.
7. Open SmartFlash.exe
8. Under the “Normal D/L” tab double click “Erase entire CP” verify that the checkbox its selected (this will erase the IMEI and any GSM locks)
9. Click on START and wait until it finish
10. Remove the battery and place it again
11. Press and hold the “VOL+” and connect the USB cable to the computer and then while holding the VOL+ press and hold the PWR button until it vibrates. The phone should not boot up.
12. Go to “ROM copy D/L” tab
13. In the “CP bin” choose the file included in "LGP940_CP.rar" (included in attachments)
14. click “Erase entire CP” verify that the checkbox its selected
15. Click on START and wait until it finish
16. Remove the battery and place it again and power on your phone (Write down the IMEI number under the battery it will be used later)
17. Flash a gingerbread KDZ stock rom
IMPORTANT: Some users are having issues with restoring IMEIS using roms that are not supported. If you have a p925 use a p925 KDZ and if you have a p920 use the p920 KDZ
Restoring the IMEI deleted from the previous steps
1. Connect phone by USB
2. Activate USB debug mode
3. Enter 3845#*920# or 3845#*925# or 3845#*760# depending on your model
4. Select Port Settings -> Select CP Image Download
5. A new device should appear at let it install
6. Open Tutty and select serial protocol. Click on open
7. Type AT if response is not OK, change port number (it is possible that when typing you don’t see any letters)
8. Type at%imei, it should display a dummy IMEI
9. Type at%imei=x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x where x,x,x... is your orginal IMEI number (found under the battery of your phone). It should response IMEI WRITE OK
10. Reboot phone
Common Issues:
- On step 9 notice that there is no coma at the end of the 15 digit IMEI number.
- The COM Port connection closes rapidly on certain devices to avoid timeout errors I recommend doing copy paste specially on step 9 also to ensure that you are writing a correct IMEI
- To avoid issues ensure you use a good USB Cable, dont be cheap!!.
- If the device doesn't see the omap device on Windows Device Manager even after enabling show ghost devices on windows you have a faulty motherboard.
- If after selecting the "CP Image Download" mode you see a new com port and gets rapidly disconnected you have a faulty modem thus a faulty motherboard. (Don't know how to fix this, I have only seen this on one device)
DON'T FORGET TO CLICK ON THE THANKS BUTTON
Thanks to IODAK
Thanks
I followed the first steps "flashing the CP" and it seemed to go ok. I thought my IMEI may have been corrupt and it completely wiped it out.
I then went on to restoring and I'm not sure if a new device installed as outlined in step 5. I opened tutty and selected serial protocol adjusted port setting to the only port that would accept commands and got error at step 8 when I tried to display IMEI. I thought this was probably ok since I thought that I had just wiped this file clean and that I need to input the # again ( as in step 9) for it to be displayed.
I assume that in step 10 reset means reboot.
I still wasn't able to restore the IMEI though.
As I am typing this I read over your instructions again and think that I did not separate each number with a comma. Possibly this is the reason I wasn't able to restore? Right now I can't try again because I'm a noob and I've bricked my phone.
Thanks for your detailed instructions though.
You can't start over and try again? At least restoring part?
Restoring IMEI
1. Connect phone by USB
2. Activate USB debug mode
3. Enter 3845#*920# in dialer if that doesn’t work try 3845#*925#
4. Select Port Settings -> Select CP Image Download
5. A new device should appear at let it install
6. Open Tutty and select serial protocol. Click on open
7. Type AT if response is not OK, change port number (it is possible that when typing you don’t see any letters)
8. Type at%imei, it should display your current IMEI
9. Type at%imei=x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x,x , where x,x,x... is your orginal IMEI number
10. Reset

Yes you can start again from the restoring imei part. If you get and error when you input the imei probably is because you are putting more digits than it should (imei = 15 digits)

I WHOLE formatted my Cherry Mobile Fuze Q390 (MT6582) with SP Flash Tool. Then I flashed the official firmware of this device with SP Flash Tool. I don't have any backups because I am reverting to stock. Now the phone works fine but it does NOT detect the SIM card. Also, the IMEI is shown as "INVALID" for both SIM slots when I input *#06#. When I try to fix IMEI from MTK Droid Tools it shows (ERROR : pttycmd1 device NOT found!). Also, MTK Droid Tools shows (Baseband V -----). I am sure the problem is that when I formatted the phone it wiped the NVRAM region too. So the device has no baseband or radio files right not and also the data/nvram/md folder has nothing in it. Although, WiFI still works perfectly except the annoying NVRAM Warning that I kept on seeing when ever that I wanted to connect to a network. Now the official firmware of Cherry Mobile Fuze Q390 does not contain any nvram.bin file. It does contain the BPLGU file but I can't seem to modify IMEI with SN Write Station, Maui META 3G, IMEI&SN Writer V1.5.3 and etc. I tried using the MTK Engineering mode mode also and tried to write it using the AT+ code but it keeps on saying failed to send command. Probably the SN Write Station, Maui META 3G, IMEI&SN Writer V1.5.3 and etc. only modify the IMEI when the baseband or radio files are already present on the phone. So I think the only way out for me is to flash a nvram.bin using SP Flash Tool or Flash nvram.bin+nvram.tar to MTK Droid Tools which I don't have. Any ideas whether I am on the track or not? If I am, then how can I get the IMEI back on my phone. As you people can see that I have tried a lot of things, so please suggest/advice accordingly and any help would be greatly appreciated.

Try using another phone's nvram.bin, which is illegal and modify the IMEI with SN Write Station or any other tools to correspond with that of your phone.

1. check your baseband with mtkdroidtool if it null, you just only use flashtool format it (whole flash) and up rom again, your baseband will return, imei still null. Now you can use mtkdroidtool to re-write your imei,or use Imei & SN writer tool for hard imei.
2.if you still have baseband, just can not write imei throw mtkdroidtool -> just use Imei & SN writer, please install full driver for your mtk devices, include cdc driver

I've tried all the other software like the IMEInSe writer, the MauiMeta 3g, MTK droid tools... none of them worked. But the method mentioned above worked for me.... now there wasn't any NVRAM error in the wireless notification.... The simcard can register to the network as well... this is flawless...
just to share... CPU version showed by the software was MT6572, but if i boot it in factory mode, it tells me its MT6589... I do not know which one is the right one, but the above methods worked for me.... Samsung S4 Korean (clone 1:1) mediatek. running JB Android 4.2.2..
Thanks...:good::good::good:

One week after i brought my phone, I accidently formatted my device using sp flash tools and lost the IMEI/NVRAM. It has been a real pain for me to repair it because i was new to an mtk device. Finally figured out how to repair by doing many search. So I made this thread to share the working methods to help those people who are suffering from invalid IMEI
So let's start.
Always remember "Prevention is better than cure". If you are planning to flash a custom rom, First of all Backup your IMEI. Don't Trust that a custom ROM flash will not delete your IMEI number. because odds are it will. It's important to store your backup to external SD because some ROM flashing techniques will erase your internal SD. so the best way to keep your IMEI number is to take my advise and make a backup.
Some Video tutorials will be added soon
DISCLAIMER: Do not do try any of these methods unless your IMEI has been lost! Doing so may permanently corrupt your imei partition.

1. Mobile Uncle Tools:

I tried this method but every time I tried, I was getting "Entre Meta Mode Failed" I am unable to understand why my device is not going into meta mode. I have written IMEIs and MAC IDs with this tool on Canvas HD, hell lot of time.
The process for Canvas HD is little different, I used to select both the database files, first "BPLGUInfoCustomAppSrcP_MT6589_S00_MOLY_WR8_W1248_MD_WG_MP_V6_P18" and then this one "APDB_MT6589_S01_MAIN2.1_W10.24" secondly I used to power on my device "Power On" msg was displayed on SN Write Tool.
I tried all possible scenario, selected only one database file, changed the sequence of selecting database files, tried to turn it off after hitting start but worked nothing for me.
When we select Database files the window opens twice, did you select same file both the times? And have you tried to write all the things together, means IMEIs, MAC ID of BT and MAC ID of Wifi in just one go?

[Tutorial | In-Depth] Huawei G750-U10 from Android 4.2 to 4.4.2 (+ personal exp)

Hello Everyone. This is my first post on XDA-Developers, and I want to share my experience on how I transferred my Huawei G750-U10 to Android 4.4.2. For the people not interested in my experience, and are only here for the explanation, scroll down to the tutorial part.
Story part (my experience)
First off, I did some research on how to root the phone, because you will need a rooted phone to install other firmware and custom ROMS. Rooting is essentially unlocking an account on your phone that has access to all the files and programs so that you can have more control over your phone (it is normally disabled for security reasons). Rooting the phone was easy. I used a program called RootGenius, which is just a 1 click-root program. Very handy and easy. After this, the hard part started.
Fyi, the only reason that I started this project is because I wanted to play Pokémon GO w/o buying a new device
From this step I did a full backup of my current ROM and NVRAM and wrote down my IMEI numbers (the G750 has 2 IMEI numbers because it has 2 SIM-Card slots). These numbers are unique for your phone and are used for calling and sending SMS messages. So make sure you write them down (in my phone they were also written down under the battery). The program I used to backup the NVRAM and the IMEI numbers is MTKDroidTools.
After this step, I tried unlocking my bootloader. But it was very stubborn (I was using the latest firmware from Huawei, B119) and I tried doing this with fastboot. Which failed every single time and gave a 0x7000 error when I tried to unlock the bootloader. But I have to say that my bootloader was acting weird from the start anyway. Whenever I used the command:
Code:
fastboot oem device-info
It always showed that the bootloader was unlocked, eventhough after I locked it using the command:
Code:
fastboot oem lock
Which is weird. So I will just include a tutorial on how to unlock the bootloader just in case yours works normal.
So, after realising that my bootloader was not working correctly, and I could not install any recovery mod like CWM or TWRP (or any custom ROM for that matter), I found out that I needed to flash to the chip directly. This was also a huge challange, since i've never done this before and I actually did not know what I was doing. I've changed ROMS on phones a couple of times before, but that always was with a unlocked bootloader and so via the "normal" recovery system way.
For this part, I used XDA user: jacktackles' post a lot. He had some handy information about flashing to the chipset immediately and on what files to use. Since my B119 firmware was locked, I first wanted firmware with an unlocked bootloader. So I flashed some Chinese G750 firmware, that changed my device from a G750-U10 to a G750-T00. The flashing process was not flawless at all, and was the part that took me the most time (10+ hours). This all because I forgot to untick 1 simple box... Oh well, I guess that is how it works (at least I got it to work ). So, after flashing this Chinese firmware, the hardest part was done. And I had access to TWRP Recovery. With this I installed the custom ROM that I wanted, and that is where my adventure ended.
So, to summarize: It is not easy, and not beginner friendly. That is why I wanted to make this post: To make it easier for you guys to do the same and get to catch YOUR Pokémon! (Or just to upgrade to 4.4.2). So let's now go to the tutorial part!
Tutorial part
I did this with a Windows 10 64-bit computer, although I would recommend using Windows 7. You will also need a usb-cable to connect your phone to your computer. Make sure that everytime you install a new ROM that you re-enable USB-debugging. You do this by going to your phone options > About Phone > Click "build number" 7 times > Go back to options > Developers options and tick the USB-Debugging tickbox.
Sorry for not uploading screenshots, but XDA prevents me from using any outside links because I'm a new user (so i'll try to be as precise as possible). This means that also any downloadable files should be retrieved from jacktackles' post (again big thanks to him!). His forum post can be found here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/android/general/huawei-g750-u10-honor-3x-kitkat-4-4-2-t3038166.
So, go to his post and download the VCOM drivers, MKT Droid Tools, B113 4.2.2 base with unlocked bootloader, Root Genius, and this ROM from another XDA-Developer: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=62356379#post62356379 (Thanks a lot mate! Awesome upload). The Gaaps link is not needed with my method, and the last link is down. So you will need to get a replacement ROM for that. I used one from NeedRom. Just go to their site, and search for G750-U10 and download a ROM that you want (which is Android 4.4.2 of course). Or download another rom from any other site. The one I used is called: G750-U10 KitKat which was listed on the site on: 07/22/2015 11:35 pm. But you can also choose to download another ROM.
So to sum up, we got 3 ROMS:
1. The Chinese Firmware downgrade to B113
(FILENAME: G750-U10 V100R001C00B113CUSTC432D001_Firmware_Slovakia_Austria_Lithuania_Czech Republic_Latvia_Estonia_Greece_05021NHU)
2. The ROM from pavel22 to change the device to G750-T00
(FILENAME: G750-T00_mod8_265_FlashTool)
3. The ROM that we finally are after
(FILENAME: Huawei G750 U10 Kit Kat 4.9.16)
(In my case of course, not if you downloaded another "final" ROM)
Okay, so after all the files are downloaded and extracted (except for the 3rd ROM), we can start!
1. Rooting
This step is very simple and quick. Plug in your phone to your PC and open Root Genius. Click the big button and your phone should be rooted. If it gives an error, just try again and again until it works. After this restart your phone, and a new app "RootKing" should be installed. If not, the phone is not rooted.
2. MTK Droid Tools (backing up NVRam & IMEI)
Extract MTK Droid Tools from it's ZIP file, and place it in a folder. Now extract the VCOM drivers and install them. These drivers make MTK Droid Tools recognize your device. After installing the drivers, open up the .exe file from MTK and make sure it recognizes your device. If it does not, reboot your PC and try again. After your device is recognized, install the "adbd insecure" app on your device, from the playstore (or download it somewhere else if you do not want to pay). But trust me, it is worth the money. Once adbd is installed, tick both boxes on the app, so that we can connect to your phone with MTK. If done correctly, MTK Droid Tools should now be able to get full access to your device, and a green box will appear in the left bottom of the program.
Now, backup your NVRam and IMEI. You do this by clicking on the "IMEI/NVRAM" button, and clicking backup. To be safe and for ease of access, write down your IMEI's on a paper or notepad file. Now the real fun starts!
2.5 Unlocking the bootloader (you might not have to do this)
Only do this step if you get a BROM error with code 6045 when trying to flash any roms. Here is how you unlock the bootloader:
1. Install ADB drivers. I used a tool made by XDA user Snoop05 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118)
2. Connect your device to your pc
3. Open up a command promt from windows
4. type "adb" and check if it returns a big list of available commands (that you know for sure that adb is installed)
5. Type "fastboot" and check if it returns a big list, for the same reason
6. Now type "adb devices" and check if it gives your device, if not make sure you have correct usb drivers installed for the G750-U10, if not just install HiSuite from Huawei (It comes with the correct drivers), then disconnect your device and type "adb devices" again.
7. Now type "adb reboot-bootloader" and your phone will restart in fastboot mode.
8. Type "fastboot oem unlock" and follow the instructions on your phone screen (they are very small and hard to read).
3. Flashing the Chinese Firmware
In the Chinese firmware folder, there will be 4 sub-folders: SD_Upgrade, Update Tool, USB_DRV, USB_Upgrade.
0. Delete the SD_Upgrade folder (Not needed).
1. Go to USB_DRV and install the .exe file in the: "Driver For servers 2012-11-27" rar file.
2. After this open the Update Tool folder and extract files.
3. Open the flash_tool.exe file, which is used to flash the device (like the name suggests )
4. Once the program is open, click on the "scatter-loading" button. Search for the USB_Upgrade folder, and select the MT6592_Android_scatter.txt file.
5. Turn off your device, remove the battery, wait a few seconds and reinsert the battery back into the device. Do NOT turn on the device.
6. Make sure SP_Flash_Tool is set to "Download only" (can be set by the dropdown box)
7. Click the "Download" button, and connect your device to your PC.
8. Wait, and the progress bar will fill up. DO NOT DISCONNECT YOUR DEVICE OR YOU COULD BRICK IT!
9. Success? Great! Restart the phone and progress to the next step!
10. Failure? Untick the Preloader partition and repeat from step 5. Still not working? Also untick USRDATA and try again.
4. Flashing the: "G750-U10 to G750-T00" Firmware
This will be almost the same as part 3.
Extract the "G750-T00_mod8_265_FlashTool" rar file, and:
3. Open the flash_tool.exe file, which is used to flash the device (like the name suggests )
4. Once the program is open, click on the "scatter-loading" button. Search for the USB_Upgrade folder, and select the MT6592_Android_scatter.txt file (make sure that you select the scatter file from the new rar file, and that you are not using the same one as before).
5. Restoring your NVRam and IMEI
You might need to root your device again, check if need be, by searching for an app called SuperSU or RootKing. If they are not present, root the device again with Root Genius.
You will need to re-install the "adbd" app on your new ROM. If there is no Play Store present, search for a Play Store APK on Google. Once, installed check the 2 tickboxes and re-open MTK Droid Tools.
Click on the "IMEI/NVRAM" button restore your backed-up NVRAM and retype you IMEI codes. Once the restores are done, restart the phone and check if you can call someone. If it works, good job! You can now progress to the very last step! If not, check if you entered the IMEI correct. You probably made a Typo.
6. Installing final ROM
Now that you have installed pavel22's ROM, you have access to a recovery system. So copy the whole 3rd zip file to the root folder of you device. Turn off your device, and turn it on again but this time while holding both volume buttons and the power button until TWRP opens. Click on install, search your zip file and swipe right. When it finishes, do a factory reset from TWRP and then reboot the system normally. You should now have a fully working G750-U10 with Android 4.4.2. Congratulations!
This was my tutorial and personal experience with converting my G750-U10 to Android 4.4.2. It has been a wild ride, and i've reached points that I wanted to throw my device against the wall. I'm now very happy with my (feeling like) new device. I can now finally catch 'em all and become the best PokéMaster ever!
~ NeusAap.
Thank you for the tutorial. I know nothing about flashing.
However, I could follow the instruction until 4. Flashing the: "G750-U10 to G750-T00" Firmware.
The problem is that after I had clicked the "Download" button, and connected my device, the error popped up BROM ERROR : S_SECURITY_SECURE_USB_DL_IMAGE_SIGN_HEADER_NOT_FOUND (6045).
Could you please help? Thank you.

That error means that your bootloader must be locked. For me, it was acting weird. They way you want to (try) to unlock the bootloader is as follows:
1. Install ADB drivers. I used a tool made by XDA user Snoop05 (http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=48915118)
2. Connect your device to your pc
3. Open up a command promt from windows

7. Now type "adb reboot-bootloader" and your phone will restart in fastboot mode.
8. Type "fastboot oem unlock" and follow the instructions on your phone screen (they are very small and hard to read).
If your bootloader is now unlocked, you should try to flash again. My phone gave an error at the step 9, but I still followed these 9 steps. So the error I got could also have been a visual programming error, or bug.
I hope this helps! Keep me up to date

Same error. I tried several times with "fastboot oem unlock" but it didn't work: err 0x7000. I could't find anything helpful on the internet.
The odd thing is when i typed "fastboot getinfo-bootloader" I got "(bootloader) unlocked".
I just wanted to be a pokemon trainer too

Yes, flash the g750-t00 one, and then the rom that you want if that worked. I think that I might have skipped that whole firmware downgrage rom
Thank you for answering
I tried what you had told me to do, but when I typed "fastboot oem unlock", the phone told me to use Volume Up/Down button. I used "Volume Up" button to unlock bootloader but it failed - err 0x7000 same as Iroh96, I guess. So I typed "fastboot getinfo-bootloader"; however, I got "waiting for device" instead of "(bootloader) unlocked". Then, I tried step 4 but it was still an error 6045. I don't know what to do next.
Why is it so hard to be a pokemon trainer?
hi, i couldn't download the:
"Rooted with twrp recovery inbuild base rom"
because the link is not available.
is this really necessary?
if yes, can you give me another link to download it?
i wanna start follow the steps but first i need all the downloads
Inquiries
I already read and downloaded all files which included in jacktackles thread.. I even read the whole posts
My point of view is, im kinda a noob to root business and afraid to end up by destroying my device especially when I contacted an Egyptian -who had already converted his phone- and he didn't recommend to do this.. so please bare with me.
*first of all is the deal link for "Rooted with twrp recovery inbuild base rom" is this really necessary?
*2nd point is my phones build, its B116. Can I proceed converting my phone or it won't work?
Thanks in advance

Hi mates! I'm stuck in the bootloader unlock step; it keeps showing the 0x7000 error and it doesn't let me flash anything with the SP Flash Tool (guess it's because of the 0x7000 error). I tried to follow the Pavel22 guide posted up there... i can flash the rework-secro succesfully, but i get the 4008 error when flashing the whole rom. Can someone help me? Thanks!!

[TUTORIAL][GUIDE] Complete Guide on How to Properly Flash Baseband, IMEI, Wifi MAC, Bluetooth MAC, in Infinix Note 7, (X690, X690B, X690C)

I had an Infinix Note 7, Which I format all + downloaded from SP Flash Tool, everything was gone, after 6 Months of Trial and Error, here is How I fixed it.
BASEBAND FIX:
Prerequisites: Be on Stock Rom, (The one where Baseband was, AKA, the one you were using before you messed up.), Locked Bootloader, Download TFT Tools, (It is a Crack, so No links. Search on YT).
Open TFT Tools, and Go to Mediatek Section.
Go to Bottom Left, and Click Extras.
Click "Fix IMEI Baseband" and insert Infinix Note 7 by pressing Vol+Up Button.
It will take about 2-3 Minutes to fix.
Restart Device.
IMEI FIX:
Prerequisites: Close All Apps, Otherwise the Process may Crash, Locked Bootloader, Download AfterSalesTool v1.5.1, and Modem Meta v10.2044.0.02, and a Valid Baseband (Use Above Method to Fix Baseband.)
To Fix IMEI, open AfterSalesTool, and Select Infinix from the Phone Category, and Select Model as X606, I repeat, X606.
Click the Connect Button and Insert Mobile without Pressing any Buttons.
After 2-3 Minutes, The Progress Bar will become Green, and then the Details of Phone will be listed.
Open Modem Meta Tool. Click: "More" with the Option: "DUT in Meta Mode"
Change the Port to USB, and from Auto Connection to your Device. (Connect Mobile if not Visible).
Click Connect.
It will give an error, Click OK, plug out the Cable from PC, I repeat, from PC, not Mobile, then Reconnect it, and again click Connect.
Now it will completely Connect. Search IMEI Download, And Input ONLY ORIGINAL IMEI, (Check from the BOX BEHIND). (Otherwise, I am not responsible for Thermonuclear War, or Jail, as It is Illegal)
Click Write, 2-3 Times, to make sure, it is written.
Restart Device and dial *#06#, Congrats your IMEI is Back.
WIFI MAC & Bluetooth MAC:
Prerequisites: Locked Bootloader.
Open AfterSalesTool, Select Infinix from Category, Model as: X606.
Click Connect, and wait 2-3 Minutes till it is Connected.
Go to MAC Area, And the Heads are the Prefixes of your MAC Address, The First Head is for Bluetooth (BT Means Bluetooth), and the Second Head for WiFi.
If you have noted your WiFi and BT Mac, Well and Good, Go Flash it.
But, if you haven't, like me, go search for "MAC Address Generator - Generate Random MAC Addresses" and open the website.
Enter the Bluetooth Prefix and then select the format without any colons, or dashes.
Generate it, copy it, paste it in the AfterSalesTool.
If it says, it has an Illegal Character, again generate it, Try again. Keep trying till it successfully flashes.
Do the Same for WiFi Mac, copy its Head, Format without any colons or dashes, and generate.
Keep Trying till it Flashes.
Restart to check your MAC, it will also fix your NVRAM err = 0x10
And Viola, now you have WiFi MAC, and BT MAC, IMEI, and your Baseband Back!
Now Take a Backup through SP Flash Tool, as you Can't Take Any Risk.
Take Backup of NVRAM and NVDATA:
Prerequisites: SP Flash Tool, MTK Auth Bypass Tool, and a Phone with All those things Discussed Above.
Open Scatter File, Press Ctrl+F and search for NVRAM, note down physical_addr, and partition size.
Open SP Flash Tool, and Load MT6768 Scatter File.
Go to Readback Section, and click on add.
It will ask you to where to save it and *WHAT TO NAME IT*, Name it "Nvram.bin" (Name it exactly this or it will not detect in Restore) and click save.
Now it will ask the physical_addr and Partition size. Copy those values and enter there.
Click Ok.
Now click on Add again, it will ask for where to save it, Name it: "Nvdata.bin" (Name it exactly this or it will not detect in Restore) and click Save.
Now it will ask the physical_addr and Partition size, Go to Scatter file, Press Ctrl+F and search for Nvdata.
Enter those Values in the Respected Boxes in the SP Flash tool and click OK.
Disable Auth using MTK Auth Bypass Tool, or if you have Modified SP Flash tool, Disable Auth from there. and click "ReadBack".
Connect Mobile using Vol+Up.
It will back up in the Designated Place.
Restore NVRAM and NVDATA:
Prerequisites: Nvram.bin and Nvdata.bin of a Working Phone, SP Flash tool, and an unlocked Bootloader to avoid Errors.
Let's say you #### up again, and now, your IMEI and everything is gone, you want to flash the Backup now.
To flash it, Open SP Flash tool, and use this Modified Scatter File, to flash Nvram and Nvdata.
If you face any Checksum Error, Download Checksum Generator v5.1932.00, (Search it on Internet LOL) and Extract the ZIP and place it in your firmware, Cut the Original Scatter File, and place it somewhere, and place only the Modified Scatter there, and run the checksum generator as administrator.
Select Nvram and Nvdata Partition, Disable Auth, and use Download Only Mode, and Click Flash.
After 1-2 minutes, it will be complete.
After completion, restart your device, and Viola, Your IMEI and MAC's, and Baseband is back.
I hope this Tutorial Helped a lot of you guys, as there was not much Information for me available on internet on how to fix this exact Model, as it is too stubborn to go in Meta Mode.
If you need any Assistance, Reply to this thread, or PM Me. I will help you guys. Take Care!
