WHAT TO DO WHEN IT DOES NOT ACTIVATE/BYOA (Build Your Own App)
Error: 102
TThis appears due to the Licence being activated more than six times with the same package name while using a developer ELM key and not a commercial partner unlimited use ELM key (Samsung KNOX restriction not the App)
You have a couple of options -
Change the ELM Key pre-installed by opening the app and going to the settings menu of the Adhell3 then scroll to the bottom of the menu and you will find the button to change the key to your own Knox ELM you generated.
Use an APK editor to make a change to the installed package name so that it is unique which should allow the pre-installed key to activate (ask others how to do that, but this might bypass the six activation limit under the same package name)
Compile your own version of Adhell3, instructions to do so are below.
Please note as of this time if you don't already have a Knox ELM key generated from some previous use of Knox API applications you will have to wait as ELM key generations have been removed from SEAP for non-partner developers until further notice.
How to compile your own version of Adhell3
First grab the KNOX SDK and LIB you want the Knox SDK 3.3 (API level 28) & supportlib.jar (Dec 17/18, for older devices)
Get yourself a new KNOX ELM Key from here, It should look something like this.
Grab the Adhell3 Scripts from here, and follow the instructions which are clearly written for your operating system. (Note: you may need to type
Code:
adhell3.cmd setup
under windows 10)
When you are done you should be left with a folder looking like this which has your built APK package file ready to be moved to your device for install.
If you struggle to understand how to modify the app before compile I have a ready to go app.properties you can use as a base, just be sure to place the file where the instructions say and to add your OWN KEY in the
Code:
skl.key=yourkeyhere
An example app.properties file could look like this -
Code:
package.name=com.adhell3.12345
domain.limit=100000
enable.disableApps=true
enable.appComponent=true
appComponent.showSytemApps=false
skl.key=D39335379587987309734637654687675985678078960879789057y58659867967890876706780670

Works fine for me. You need to use a browser though..

Any app package name can only activate a maximum of 5 licenses. On the 6th license activation, it will return an error code of 102. Anybody else get the same error? I guess we are going to have to compile our own apks.

Yes. I'm getting the same error with the default key as well as the one I generated for myself.

Pretty much, KNOX is a little bit picky.
I published it as a ton of people have no idea how to compile it.

Nobody can send you a working key which will work for long. Can only activate six times before you will probably need to use an APK editor to change the package name.
However, you can get a new key here https://seap.samsung.com/license-keys/generate/EDU

Updated OP -
Added Instructions for self-compiled APK
Made it more clear how to avoid error 102 (from the other S10 thread thanks to a user who spotted that out)

Unsure but there is a manual workaround using APK Editor which is a Mobile app to change the package name using the phone without a rebuild.
However no way to build the app I know about without PC

[Tutorial] Xposed - Develop modules on your Android phone or tablet using Aide

All credit goes to Rovo89 and the original tutorial here at: https://github.com/rovo89/XposedBridge/wiki/Development-tutorial
I would suggest reading that page first because it explains a lot of the background theory of how Xposed operates.
A brief overview of what has changed from Rovo89's original tutorial and the one presented in this thread:
Source code changed: none (pure copy and paste)
Files modified: XposedBridgeApi.jar - all the *.class files were deleted from this archive because Aide offers no elegant way to link the file into a project without including it in the final build. The problem that occurs if the .class files are not deleted is that all the classes are included in the final build of the module, and it causes fatal errors which prevented the module from executing.
Device settings modified: The heapsize on my Galaxy Note had to be increased from 256mb to 512mb because Aide was throwing "out of memory" errors and would freeze during compilation of the code.
If you can adapt those changes yourself, then you can follow Rovo89's original tutorial on your own. For everyone else, you can follow mine step by step until you understand it all. Permission for Rovo89 is granted to copy/paste any of my changes into his original tutorial if it would help to be all unified.
Here is how to adapt that tutorial so you can develop Xposed modules on your Android device, i.e, develop without using a PC.
Step 1 - Download the required apps onto your device from the Play Store:
Aide is the IDE and Java compiler
Build Prop Editor is for increasing your devices stack size
Arc File Manager is for deleting some contents from a jar file
Step 2 - Creating a new project
Open Aide
Create new project -> Android App -> Hello World
Name: MyApp
Package Name: com.mycompany.myapp
Step 3 - Adding the XposedBridge library
Download the XposedBridgeApi.jar file from here - as per usual, full credit goes to Rovo89
Using Arc File manager copy XposedBridgeApi.jar to the 'libs' folder in your MyApp project folder.
Open XposedBridgeApi.jar in Arc File Manager and delete every *.class file inside. Don't delete the *.java files
Exit Arc File Manager and uninstall it if you don't need it for anything else.
Step 4 - Make your project recognized by Xposed
Back in Aide again, open AndroidManifest.xml in your project's root folder.
Paste the following lines into the <Application> section
Code:
<meta-data android:value="true" android:name="xposedmodule"/>
<meta-data android:value="2.4*" android:name="xposedminversion"/>
<meta-data android:value="Demonstration of the Xposed framework.\nMakes the status bar clock red." android:name="xposeddescription"/>
As you can see I am using Xposed 2.4.x - if your version is different, adjust the above lines accordingly.
See Rovo89's original tutorial if you need more context.
Step 5 - Add your source code
In your Aide project navigate to src/com/mycompany/myapp
Click - Add new Class here...
Name: xposedhook
Copy and paste the following code into xposedhook.java (also note, this is verbatim from Rovo89's tutorial)
Code:
package com.mycompany.myapp;
import static de.robv.android.xposed.XposedHelpers.findAndHookMethod;
import android.graphics.Color;
import android.widget.TextView;
import de.robv.android.xposed.IXposedHookLoadPackage;
import de.robv.android.xposed.XC_MethodHook;
import de.robv.android.xposed.callbacks.XC_LoadPackage.LoadPackageParam;
public class Tutorial implements IXposedHookLoadPackage {
public void handleLoadPackage(final LoadPackageParam lpparam) throws Throwable {
if (!lpparam.packageName.equals("com.android.systemui"))
return;
findAndHookMethod("com.android.systemui.statusbar.policy.Clock", lpparam.classLoader, "updateClock", new XC_MethodHook() {
@Override
protected void afterHookedMethod(MethodHookParam param) throws Throwable {
TextView tv = (TextView) param.thisObject;
String text = tv.getText().toString();
tv.setText(text + " :)");
tv.setTextColor(Color.RED);
}
});
}
}
Step 6 - Adding the class entry point
In Aide navigate to the 'assets' folder and create a new file named 'xposed_init'
Paste into the xposed_init file the following line:
Code:
com.mycompany.myapp.xposedhook
Step 7 (OPTIONAL) - increase the heap size of your device
I was getting "out of memory" errors when I tried to compile/run my app. So the solution was to increase the heap size using Build Prop Editor which you already installed from the play store.
Open Build Prop Editor and change 'dalvik.vm.heapsize' to at least 512m. Mine was 256 by default. If your's is already 512m or higher then you can skip this step.
Restart your device after this step, but save your progress in Aide first.
Step 8 - Congratulations, you made it! now its time to open your project in Aide again (if you restarted your device in the previous step) and hit "Run" from the menu. Aide will give you a Cancel/Install choice to which you will select Install. Your Module will now be in the Xposed modules list, but it will be unselected. Enable your module by opening Xposed installer and ticking the box next to your module.
Restart your device. If the clock is red, then you should be very happy; you just created your first Xposed module. Now you can have fun with building modules with Aide and Xposed :good:
Great tutorial man.
I created some modules on my pc using a tutorial and those worked fine. Then after my phone had a firmware update, i tried them again but they didnt work.
I tried building again n again n again.... every other module by other ppl were working but the one i compiled didnt work.
Then i saw ur guide and made the test module on phone and it WORKED! !
Now i guess the problem on pc was that the IDEs were adding unnecessary files... or maybe the trick of deleting the class files inside the API jar was the one which worked.
Anyways, great help, now i can continue with my project.
Step 5 I had this ..

Get a fix for this? Tried it multiple times and I can't manage to get ride of them
Update:
Re-added the .jar file and knocked it down to only 1 error. (Below) Changing this name to the file name gets rid of the error and allows the app to compile and install. But then I can't get the app to show up in xposed...
Update 2: I got it working after I fixed a derp where I added the metadata.
Can you please guide me how to create xposed module for Facebook app(make most recent story as default)!!??
Thanks!
I was going round and round trying to figure out why the logs were throwing 'class resolved to unexpected implementation' no matter what source I built from.
Removing the .class files from the jar fixed it.
Since my desktop has been down for months, this trick is a saving grace.

[APK] PIxelize: one-app, complete Pixel port

Hey guys,
There are a lot of posts up on XDA with the Pixel's feature port for the Nexus 5X. But it gets convenient when everything's under one hood. Also not all are technically sound and well versed with flashing ZIPs, wiping the caches and so on. We need it simple! The common language that we all understand is that of apps.
I've come up with a Nexus 5X-exclusive app that puts everything together and makes it convenient for everyone to get all the features of Google Pixel with just a button click.
CREDITS:
theLazyGeek for his flashable ZIP and his efforts that helped extend this project over to the Nexus 5X - a Nexus 6P initiative primarily. Please view his original thread here.
PREREQUISITES:
1. Google Nexus 5X
2. Root Access with SuperSu installed
3. Android 7.1.1
4. Build N4F26I only (make note, otherwise your device will brick)
5. TWRP installed
NOTES:
1. This app doesn't have a roll-back-to-stock feature, though I'm working on it. In the meanwhile if you want to roll back, simply flash the stock 7.1.1. OTA ZIP which you can fetch from here.
2. There are a few features missed out in the package from Pixel XL though I'm working on porting them too. Read below to know more.
3. The in-app download as of now is about 158 MB so make sure you have enough data / internet before proceeding.
BUGS:
1. A weird one in Google Camera app that the HDR icon randomly disappears. (P.S. same camera version from stock) It requires a workaround which will be updated soon. Though, it isn't a bug with the camera. Just that the HDR icon inside the camera app doesn't show up!
2. In case your wallpaper app crashes, just follow,
i. Open any File Manager (preferably get Root Explorer from Play Store)_
ii. Grant it SuperSu access
iii. Head over to /system/app/Wallpapers-wallpaper/
iv. Just tap the Wallpapers-wallpaper.apk and install it
v. Now try setting a wallpaper to set it.
WHAT'S THERE:
1. Pixel Navigation Bar icons + animation
2. Pixel Live Data Wallpapers + Pixel Live Earth Wallpapers
3. Pixel Launcher
4. Blue Theme
5. Google Assistant
6. Pixel Round Icons
7. Fingerprint Notification Gestures
8. Cherry Picks Store that makes it convenient to select custom MODs and install them!
WHAT'S NOT THERE:
1. Night Mode
2. A full roll-back to stock.
DOWNLOADS:
Though the APK has been attached along, kindly take the efforts to download it from the Play Store (links given ahead) and also comment up there; that would be a great motivation for me.

Hey throcker, what I meant by brick is soft brick (a subset of which is ANR on boot). And it doesn't mess with the partitions. It includes SystemUI,apk patched which if flashed on incompatible firmware will cause your SystemUI to ANR at every boot! Thanks!

Google Phone
Current Stable Version: 11.0.164102751
Current Beta Version: 13.0.170513131 Bubble Edition
Latest Update: 04/10/2017
I have taken the Google Phone APK from APK Mirror and modified it to work on any Marshmallow or newer Android Device. Credit goes to Kolda_CZ for originally doing this.
I CANNOT guarantee that this will work on your device/ROM as Google Phone is built for stock android, issues may arise on your device which I do not have the expertise to debug/fix. Also, please read the Know Issues section below AND search through the thread for previous posts about your issue before posting. Thanks.
If you have a Custom Recovery (e.g. TWRP) please DO NOT use this patched app. Follow the 2nd option in Workarounds section below.
Known Issues
Spam Caller ID does not work (see workarounds)
Nearby Places does not work (see workarounds)
Some device may experience issues when trying to call Contacts without default number from Favourites tab (use 11.0.164102751 for Stability)
Cannot Answer/Decline Calls from Notifications on Some Devices/ROMs due to security limitations
Missed call notifications broken on Samsung Devices with Nougat (see troubleshooting)
Phones with existing system app with Google Phone app package name will be unable to install (unless you can uninstall it)
ROMs without option to set SIM Color cannot change InCallUI Color: Qualcomm Devices Workaround

If sound during calls does not work after update, reboot device.
@Bacb is posting APKs with a fix for Samsung Devices' Notifications & Force Close issues, follow his posts in the thread replies
Workarounds
Basically, Google Play Services is needed to link up with the app for Spam Caller ID & Nearby Places to work. To make the APK install-able on any device, I have to modify it. To modify it, I have to sign it with my own key. Signing it with my own key causes Google Play Services to force close the app (as it can see it has been modified), so I have to disable the link. This means these features cannot work on a modified APK.
There are only two way to get the features on non-Google devices:
EITHER Get a non-nexus APK from Google which is signed in-house with their key (so the app doesn't force close on launch) Best you're gonna get is this: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google...-7-0-140861421-nonnexus-android-apk-download/ Version 7.0 with everything working, lacks any changes since 7.0 (basically "Message Why You Called" & PAW mode)
OR Have a custom recovery with flashing capabilities. Flash Google Dialer Support (Framework) then install the latest unmodified Google Phone APK: http://www.apkmirror.com/apk/google-inc/google-phone/
Extra Info
I have tested this on my OnePlus 3 running Oxygen OS Beta 25 (Android 8.0).

I have flashed the zip taken from this thread:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/mot...ialer-t3477633
Then i have simply installed google dialer 8 from apkmirror. Simply installed as any normal apk.
I can see name of people when they call me, so yeah Caller ID works.
No need to patch it

That requires flashing a zip, which in turn requires a custom recovery. This is just an installable APK. If everyone wanted to flash everything, they'd all have assistant too.
Thanks for this!
Beautiful! I was just looking for this! Damn unrootable LG G5 variant!
Thanks for the APK!
I tried to install it on my HTC Desire 825. It installed correctly. I gave it permissions and changed it to the default app.
But there is a problem. When I call someone, the previous dialler also dials at the same time. I can see 2 notifications of an ongoing call in the notifications and I can switch between either one of the dialer from multitasking.
And I checked, but the disable button was disabled for the stock dialer.
Anything I could do to fix this? Also, it there any custom rom for D825? I could not find anything.
Crash
It crashes very often on z5P with 7.0 please fix it
Great job

See if you can remove system permissions of Stock Phone app if it has them enabled. Also enable viewing of system apps and look for InCallUI and try to disable that (if you can't, then remove its system permissions).

I'm glad I was able to help out
As for Assistant, I'm sorry to break it to you, but its almost impossible. This is easy as our non google devices do not have Google Phone app installed, so the phones think its just a random app. This means I can sign it with any key I want, for example here I just used a simple test key (reason why you have to uninstall old versions is that it requires the same key sign when updating but you can uninstall it, so it forgets the old key). But with assistant its part of Stock Google App, a system app, installed on 99% of Stock ROM Devices, meaning you cannot uninstall it, and therefore I need the original key it was signed. I don't have that key and cannot get it, so you could need ROOT for this to work, but having ROOT or even a custom recovery means you can get assistant working without a Patched APK. Nevertheless, you can follow progress on this at https://forum.xda-developers.com/android/software/guide-google-assistant-marshmallow-t3478450 but don't waste your time with the OP post as it doesn't work without ROOT (even though the title says it does, lies). Sadly, I'm 90% certain it wont happen. Sorry.

Works great on oneplus 3
Tapping the Calls menu in Settings will crash the app. Just like the previous no-root Phone projects.
As a result, I can't enable visual voicemail.

I can access all settings in the app on my non rooted OnePlus 3. I don't see a specific menu called "calls". I see "calling accounts", "call blocking" and "caller id & spam". Is there another menu I don't have? (I'm not saying you're wrong, I'm just trying to understand the issue)

[HOW TO] Install Live Drawings from Note8 without Root

So I just figured this out today, I have made Live Messages/Live Drawings work on the S8 without root.
*This might work on any Samsung phone on nougat, I don't have any other devices to test it with, if someone tests it, let me know*
@ashokmor007 made a video tutorial on how to install this. Follow this if the instructions are not clear or if you just don't like reading.
https://youtu.be/2G27oxd2KfI
THIS WILL NOT SHARE DIRECTLY TOO A TEXT FIELD UNTIL WE GET 7.1.1 or 8.0.0. IT WILL SAVE AS A GIF YOU CAN SEND. (I expect 7.1.1 in October because of how similar the Note8 and S8 are so easy port theoretically, also from the lack of updates. Also a Oreo beta should start Mid-October)
Version 2 of this app is just the second update. It allows you to change the resolution of it from Standard to High and also allows you to view past ones. There are probably also some other changes I just haven't seen or looked at. To install, just uninstall the old one and reinstall it. You do not need to toggle secure boot for this.
How to do this amazing thing:
1. Download .zip file linked
2. extract said file
3. toggle secure startup setting on your phone (if its on, turn it off, if its off, turn it on)
3.5. restart your phone
4. Install the 3 APKs
5. Go to any text box and change your keyboard to 'Samsung Keyboard Neural Beta'
6. Set that stuff up
7. Hold down on the button you normally use to access Emojis or settings
8. Select Live Drawings.
9. Draw to your hearts content.

You should look more carefully. The other ways require root. The one on APKMirror is built for 7.1.1 and is missing A required font and such. I had to mod the apk. Also the keyboard wasn't working on non-root because odex files. Here is one that works. So no, it hasn't been posted before for non-root.
You're right. Yours a wizard and have the only working app posted here.

any help? cant find Samsung Keyboard Neural Beta sir
Neural keyboard and messages app don't install for me.
when i try to install keyboard.apk and messages.apk, it says "App not installed. There is a conflict with existing package name"
The same.
Yup, since you modified the APKs, they won't install (since both the keyboard and the messaging app exist on the device with different signatures).

You need to toggle secure startup. Read the instructions. BTW the only modified app is Live Drawings. The others install but Samsung thing so you need to toggle secure startup then restart.

like
1. instead of pressing the connect button to add download/start make it automatically (means just need to press start/add and the download start).
2.Make the no of thread options to be per download basis/ by default/ custom set no of threads (set by user) {more like in ADM}
3. It won't download sometimes if I rename the file name( suppose sgsfafa.mp4 to 01.mp4)
4. Background download doesn't work in some cases if i run the app in background with an on going download
5. In notification it is showing down speed of 1XXkB/s but in my status bar the network traffic is showing 1/2.XXMB/s
6. It show "Error write failed:EBADF(Bad file description) "
7. option to update the download link if expired
apart from this, love the Open Source Download Manager.

I wouldn't like to make a monster-app. It may be worth considering a very simplified web browser that contains only the address bar.
