So are other 27W chargers (like this: https://www.amazon.de/AUKEY-Ladeger...?ie=UTF8&qid=1552148377&sr=8-1&keywords=PA-Y8) working aswell?

If you don't already have one why bother buying it?
For that money you buy the 20W wireless charging pad + cable + original 27W Xiaomi charger set from Ali. - LINK

I charged yesterday, from 1% to 100 % within 61 minutes. Box charger (chineese). Phone was ON, screen was off, I checked the level of charge a couple of times, but I doubt that it would charge quicker without it. I am thinking of checking on a phone OFF, how much will be the difference.

Seems OnePlus Dash charging is a lil bit faster.

I've got a 27 watt Motorola charger which is £20 quid on Amazon. Much faster than the 1 included in the box. For the money the Xiaomi is virtually flawless.

It should

I've measured the charging with the supplied 18W charger, and (at least mine) charges with 20W total, which I find super. So, with the same 18W charger, MI9 charges about 10% faster than my MI 8.
It takes less than an hour for full charge (from 3%).
So, I think I do not need the (very expensive) 27W one.

Fast charge

after miui 12 and edl flash there is no fast charging available so tried to check the cable and adaptor.
Interesting! with a Samsung fast charger adaptor my phone didn't charge. . . and stopped working.
so I am confused is it a firmware bug or a faulty adaptor or e.g phone has malfunction or etc?

My phone takes around 90 minutes with the 18W charger, which is pretty good coming from a P9 Lite without fast charging capabilities at all!

Mi Power Bank 16000mAh - Confirmed Rapid Charge USB A External Battery

Hey everyone.
I noticed today, very unexpectedly, my Mi 16000mAh Power Bank has on it that it has a maximum output of 5.1V/3.6A when only using 1 USB A port. I checked the Mi website and they have the same spec.
Which goes without saying, could it rapid charge? I have a couple of the otherwise dangerous One Plus USB A to C cables, which we know have a resistor that allows a 3A draw, too much for most standard chargers.
I'm going to trust that Xiaomi is not lying about the max 5.1v/3.6A as this is an amazing charger.
Using it right now. Rapid charge via Xiaomi Mi Power Bank USB A confirmed.

Warning: Don't try this with any other external battery without checking its specifications. If you're going to buy a Mi Power Bank for this function, ensure you buy and official unit as counterfeits exist.
At a minimum you should measure the current draw with something like Ampere (software). Using the 6p and the OnePlus cable you will get "rapid charging" displayed no matter what you plug it into so the screenshot proves nothing really.
I have the exact same powerbank purchased from directly from xiaomi and just did a test with a USB dongle that measures current output. phone was at ~40% battery.
Test 1: with google's usb a-to-c cable that came with the phone: 1.56A
Test 2: with a micro-usb cable w/ usb type-c adapter that shows green on checkR: 1.18A
Sorry man, I don't think there's any way this powerbank is able to output more than 3A or even 2.4A.
I just checked the product page for this powerbank again, and it says Max 5V/3.6A dual output, which I take to mean a max of 1.8A on each port.
Plus, if you've seen the video ackattacker has posted in another thread, you'll realise that the 'charging rapidly' does not reflect how much currently is actually flowing into the phone.
It's still a neat powerbank though, I have always thought it did a pretty good job of recharging on the go.

[review] RAVPower 36W Dual Ports USB Wall Charger

Full disclosure, I was provided this unit by RavPower in exchange for an honest review. The first thing I noticed about this charger was the weight; it a heavier than my other chargers but in a good, sturdy way. The folding plug feels very solid as it snaps into place, and overall the construction seems very good. The size is nice and small, perfect for throwing in your laptop or travel bag. As far as charging goes, it offers USB C charging at a max of 29w for devices like a MacBook. With my Nexus 6p it was able to deliver nearly the full charging speeds, registering at over 2900mAh using Ampere. One thing I noticed is that this charger seems to have less lag than other aftermarket chargers I own. It quickly ramped up to full speed and stayed there.
The Type C port offers max charging speeds of 20V 1.5A, 15V 2A, 9V 2A , 5V 3A max, while the iSmart port will deliver 5V 2.4A max to legacy devices like your tablet or iPhone. Overall I am really impressed with this charger. It's nice and small, offers solid build quality and most importantly has great charging speeds.

Is it compliant? Many cheap type c chargers completely violate the USB Type-C Spec now.
I don't have the setup to test, but their other type c devices are so I would imagine this one is
thank you for the info
That's weird.
I got my charger two days ago and when I'm charging my N5X via USB C jack the current is just around 1400 mA no matter which cable I use (Apple, cable matters).
Does anyone have the same issue?
/edit
After updating to Stock N it's all fine. Came from DU 10.5.

The Honor Power Banks supports Huawei/Honor fast charging. AFAIK, only Huawei/Honor brand chargers & power banks supports their own fast charging.

Go for Anker 13000mAh Power Bank for Honor 8. PowerIQ ensures intelligent high-speed charging for all your devices and VoltageBoost prevents cable resistance from slowing your charging speeds.

NOTE: This Anker power bank It is NOT compatible with HiSillicon Quick Charge. It charges at normal speed.
I want a power bank with honor fast charge capability too, but it seems to be a mission impossible.
I only found the honor powerbank, but, for some strange reason, only vmall malaysia sells it (https://www.vmall.my/honor/accessories/honor-10000mah-quick-charge-powerbank), not vmall.eu
I am completely clueless: I have an honor that charges without any hassle on all chargers I have .. but it won't charge on any of my power banks, regardless of whether I use a 1A or 2A port. I have tried several.
Not even talking about quickcharge .. I'd appreciate any kind of charging via power bank.
Using the original cable that came with the phone.
HELP!
Edit: now this is really strange: Original cable won't work. If I use a regular Micro-USB cable with a USB-C adapter it will work if I have the USB connected to the power bank and then connect to the Honor 8. It won't work if I connect to the Honor first and then to the power bank. What the h*ll?!?!?!
Just FYI folks, there are 3 PBs so far that support HFCP (Huawei Fast Charge): Honor's own AP08Q (the one linked above), the Yaobao Q12 and the Elephone Thunder.
I have both the Honor AP08Q and the Yaobao Q12 and they both work as advertised for Fast Charging with my Honor 8. The Q12 is built out of cheap plastics and feels shoddy though, at least compared to Honor's first party solution, but it has 2 charging ports vs 1 on the AP08Q.
Theres also the anecdotal evidence that he newer gen-2 Xiaomi thin 10000mAh TYPE-C PB might support HFCP, but I only have the gen-1 model and is thus unable to confirm this.

HTC U11 charging current drops very low when QC 3 kicks in

Hi
I have problem with charging on my U11 with the stock charger and my anker charger with QC3. If i use the normal ports without QC3, I can get 5v and almost 2A.

But on the voltage bumps up to 7.5v, the current drops drastically to 0.1-0.3a and it wont charge to 100% overnight. I am thinking my phone is having problem as it behave the same on 2 chargers. Any thoughts?
(The picture shows higher current because my phone is on and camera app is running. If phone is off, current is 0.1 to 0.3A)
If the battery is near full you won't get full power. It ramps down to prevent over charging. QC3 is dynamic charging and uses a negotiation routine.

While what you said is indeed true, that's not exactly the case the OP is experiencing. I say this because he won't charge to full even overnight. Sure, 99% to 100% takes slightly longer, but I believe it's definitely under 5 minutes.
OP, let me share my experience. I have one original HTC charger, one non-original HTC branded charger (half the price of an original, I don't care if it's a fake as long as the quality holds up), and a Xiaomi powerbank that supports two-way QC3.0 (meaning it quick-charges devices but can also be quick-charged itself).
1) The original charger and non-original both work perfectly, quick-charging my HTC U11.
If I charge this Xiaomi powerbank with a normal charger (5V/2A), it also quick-charges my HTC U11 almost as well as the wall chargers.
2) But, if I quick-charge the Xiaomi powerbank itself with a QC3.0 charger (18W), such as the two wall chargers mentioned above, then I have the same issue as you- namely that the powerbank becomes unbearably slow in charging the U11.
3) The way to fix this is to have the powerbank use up all its power then be recharged by a normal charger as in 1). Another way is use the powerbank to charge a normal device, one that doesn't use quick-charge. In both these cases the duration must be for over 2 hours, after which I suspect the "safety mechanism" of the Xiaomi will deactivate and make things normal. Obviously I'm not too happy with this powerbank so will be returning it shortly.
So OP you might wanna try something like charge your phone fully first with non-QC, and the same for your powerbank. Then try charging the phone again using said powerbank.

USB-PD 25W PPS Charger ?

With my S10+ and S9 before it, I had several multi-port USB chargers where one support QC 2.0 or better for fast charging. Other than the OEM charger, I haven't seen any other chargers explicitly support the 9V/2.77A USB-PD 3.0 PPS standard the Note 20 Ultra uses. I have seen some USB-PD 45W chargers that say in the footnites that they do not support the 25W standard so this makes me wary of others. Grateful for any experiences others have had.
Even I am looking for an answer to this. Anybody found anything?
There's a few on Amazon I've ordered, I will update when I try them out
I got a car charger that actually does pps. And also a battery tank as well. Both charge the phone at 25watts (super fast charging).
You guys only looking for wall chargers?
I'm interested more in a power bank if possible
