They said in blog fall, we are going into spring now. Hopefully soon.

Tired of waiting for z3 Pie
Still nothing for retus. Could you use a VPN to make it seem like you're in Brazil or wherever and then get the OTA update to pie?

That wouldn't work. They don't send them out based on where in the world you're connected to the internet. There's different models for the phone, there's a US, Brazil, EU, etc models of the phone and they only sell those models in the respective world regions that they're for unless you order online and have it imported, of course you should already know that. They have different "pipes" that they send the updates through, probably one for each phone model. As in, RETUS would be separate from RETBR. Regardless of where you live, or if you are connected to a VPN based in Brazil, you wont get the update since the RETUS model only would communicate to Motorola through the "pipe" for RETUS, not RETBR. Should make sense!

Thanks for this information. I was thinking it might be a short cut.
XDA News! Still nothing in the US. I keep checking Google news, too. Just ordered a G7 Power for my son arriving Friday. Looking forward to seeing how that does since my main reason for buying the X3 was the included battery mod.

Saw this thread and promptly pulled down the update. Won't know about improvements to battery for a few days. But 5 hours since update and androis OS is still # 1, and android system is # 3.
I have the french version who is the first to receive updates but what version are these ???
Still never got an update, W8 on Fido (Rogers). The only downside to a non-Nexus device - carrier updates grrrrr.

Been running the latest update since this morning.
How funny. I was in Best Buy on Saturday and visited the Samsung Kiosk. I had issues with my multi-window randomly popping up without pressing it. Anyways, I took it in and got them to reflash the device. Didn't notice till now but I got the update on that day, which solved my problems that I have been having since I got the device.
Can't wait until VZW pushes this out 6 months from now.
when does AT&T usually push anything? It's already April and I still haven't received the March security update.

Oh for sure. I wish they had a better presence where I'm at. As many problems as VZW has, their coverage can't really be beat. At least not in my experiences.
I take jabs at them from time to time but, the, I don't have any major complaints.

So you don't want to update to a better performing phone, in hopes of rooting to get a better performing phone minus features. You may miss out and continue waiting until the s8. Just saying you should just try enjoying the phone.

I can confirm after almost a full 2nd day of use that this update does wonders for standby. My phone came off charger this morning at 8 AM, its not 4 PM and I am at 87% battery remaining. SOT only 23 minutes, some voice calls, some emails. But standby is outstanding and noticeably improved since the PC8 update.

Looks like it'll be AT&T and Verizon again, models W280A and W280V indicate that anyway, so might be NumberSync and Mesaages+ like for the Urbane 2 for using the same number. I don't use either so I just forward my calls to the watch when I leave the phone behind.

No confirmation yet whether it's regular SIM or eSIM. If it's regular and unlocked like the Urbane 2, should be able to use it but would probably require forwarding calls when needed.

No exact date, but looks like it will start rolling out in a week or so. Of course, each watch could be different. Here is a post from the AW Team and another article stating updates start on the 15th. https://www.reddit.com/r/AndroidWear/comments/5su6z0/introducing_android_wear_20/
https://www.wareable.com/android-wear/update-when-android-wear-2-existing-smartwatch-2017
Sucks we have to wait till 15th for rollout to start since LG partnered with Google for the new watches would of made sense to have the Urbane update ready alongside them.
yes 15th february
My watch is wanting to be charged to update to M1D65H
Edit: security update not AW 2.0

Yeah the phone app Android Wear has been on 2.0 for a while, in preparation and release of the new 2.0 watches and for the preview versions previously released. The phone app version won't match the watch app version. Still waiting for 2.0 here also.

Android O is definitely coming very soon, however I just think this update was just solving a tiny bug or something like that. Unless the bug effected the download and install of Android O, I doubt it was anything important. Still interesting though!

No update ta-1025 Amazon adds
Hello, I have a Nokia 6 ta-1025 with Amazon ads, I am still stuck in 7.1.1 with the August patch, I spoke with hmd support and they tell me that I may not receive the update for the region where I live, in the moment I live in the Dominican Republic, but what makes me curious is that there are more users with ta-1025 who have not yet received the update and are in the same situation as me.
That's what you get for buying at Amazon.

That's what you get for buying at Amazon, a phone that doesn't update. I bought mine from a 'normal' retailer, it had the August patch too, but within 1 hour it downloaded 4 updates, one for every month from August till now. If I were you, i'd ask for a refund and buy one from a reputable store.
It has absolutely NOTHING to do with it being an Amazon phone. The update beta is NOT being released but to a few versions if the phone. In only certain countries. It WILL receive the full Oreo update when released. If you don't have facts then don't answer with some nonsense answer. Amazon IS a reputable supplier. It has also received every update. Including December 1st.
yes I also received this notification that you postedhere but I could not updated my phone on that time and have not any negative effects of ignoring this keep calm and ignore it.

ATT has released Oreo 20a to the LG V20

On June 19th, 2018, Oreo will flood our phones, with much glee and satisfaction, we will become ensued with flashing, not only our phones, but each other.
In our dreams.....
However, we are still currently waiting for the much coveted and overdue update to grace our beloved v20s. We have been waiting patiently, but inevitably, our patience will run out, as we will defect to other manufacturers for our digital and cellular needs.
Oreo is more of a state of mind, as we can also eat oreos to fulfill our need for it. Once we receive the Oreo, not only will our device info will read "O", so will our mouths as we shove even more celebratory oreos in them.
Join me, my brothers and sisters, for the long wait.

Dude, was this some joke post? I was getting ready to put money on my prepaid sim because I can't get the update with a T-Mobile SIM.
Let me know if it is actually out...

Honestly I don't see this happening. The only confirmed lg 'v' phone I've seen getting oreo is the v30 models. Obviously it'd be nice, but lg are always full of false hope. I've recently got my hands on a Huawei P20 pro so this device is now just my test device along with my v10.
The H918 will definitely get it, the status is on T-Mobile's site.

Hi Hawkeye,
I saw your post about Oreo on the V20. Have you upgraded yet? I've been on stock since I rooted awhile back. Is there a link or location where you located the Oreo Update image? The phone was a pain to root compared to all of my other devices, but I love this phone, which made it worth it.

For VoLTE and WiFi calling to work, you need the ril for the carrier you are on.
So, if you are using an H918 on Verizon, flash the system .. and ONLY system from the VS995. If you are using it on AT&T, flash the H910 system. For Sprint, flash the LS997 system.
If you are using it on some overseas carrier, you can try the H990 system.
Whatever you do, do NOT flash anything else from another model.

I'm still in cooling off period so I'm kinda of thinking to return this ,I switched from S20 ultra and I must say that I never had any issues with my old phone

Odd you're on that version too. I'm at version 11.A.26. Oh and the software update page is fixed now.

I tried a bunch of VPNs when I wanted to get an update which was rolling our across Europe, no country I picked worked though. In the end I got a higher version of the update naturally just by waiting a day or two

I'm on A.24 with June security update, I think I got that by using VPN to Switzerland.
Is the A.26 version any newer? It seems the version number is different across countries and a higher number doesn't necessarily mean it is newer than one in a different region.

This is definately the case, seems to be totally random what the version numbers mean (I've seen people in here with higher version number, but older security updates). Bizarre phone this one

I can confirm this behavior, I have the exact same update log, but I am on the A.23 in my region.

I had a suspicion that this was the case, but can't really fathom why different regions would have different version numbers.
After a while this would get very confusing for even Oppo themselves.
Overall, I think it is more important to look at the update log instead of the version number alone.
