VoLTE & VoWiFi Issue - Nokia 3.1 Questions & Answers

Hi Guys,
I've just bought a 3.1 TA-1057 and am pretty impressed with it, except for one annoying problem.
My Carrier supports VoLTE and VoWiFi but I can't find anything in the settings to enable either one. My carrier can't help, and Nokia support have been virtually useless. If I look in the phone information (*#*#4636#*#*) both options are disabled, unselectable and greyed out. i.e. not provisioned. Software build number is 00WW_2_590.
Does anyone have the same issue or a resolution please?

I have same problem any idea???

VOLTE for China Version - Any Success Enabling?

I purchased the China Version of the pro and have trying to work through some of the different issues it represents as opposed to the global version...
Next on my list is getting VOLTE working for Tmobile here in the US.
Trying different options, I haven't found a dialer code to force VOLTE or any option to get it to appear....
I think it maybe a provisionong issue and not having all the apns needed... Or a mixture of items.
Anyone have success with China model to get VOLTE settings? As always, all help is appreciated! :good:
Did you activate the volte ?
Have you tried using the Qualcomm tool? how the process is done in oneplus

No Wifi Calling Toggle in call settings, Anyone know how to enable it ?

I have the european variant LM-V500EM of LG V50 which I was under the impression had a wifi calling / vowifi option. I've used the quickshortcut maker app and can see the option is there in the backend of the settings com.android.settings.Settings$Wifi CallingSettingsActivity. I can even open it and toggle it to on but it doesn't appear to do anything and still won't show in the regular call settings.
I've spoken to a number of UK networks who say it should work and spoken to LG directly who say wifi calling is unavailable for this variant/model and only the EE variant has WIFI calling. It's pretty frustrating that a function which the phone clearly is capable of is unusable.
Has anyone got any workarounds for this as I'm tearing my hair out here and don't want to have to sell the phone as apart from this it's great.
Thanks
I've been in engineering mode *#546368#*500# and SVC Menu / VoWIFI / W-Fi Toggle to ON but wifi calling still doesn't appear in the main settings.
Can this be enabled OTA by the right network carrier eg. EE , 3 etc ?
I've got the same phone, same problem.
Running Android 11, Smarty network

Oukitel WP15 VoLTE greyed out

I have an Oukitel WP15 and really like the phone apart from it not using VoLTE. Anybody have any ideas as to how to get it working on this phone? The test mode has the sliders greyed out and IMS Service Status has it listed as "unavailable." I know it's supported by the service as the phone it came out of it worked just fine (apart from it being a bit flakey, but I always blamed the phone). Is there some way of forcing the VoLTE flag to be on? I am reasonably competent and know what you're talking about if you mention ADB, but not particularly savvy. Thanks!
EDIT: OK, apparently I figured it out (at least to a degree) by just messing around with all the preferred network types in the test menu. If anybody else is having the same issue I changed the preferred network type to "NR/LTE" then rebooted and it immediately turned VoLTE on as well as wifi and video calling on...so I guess I'm good!
EDIT 2: OK, does anybody have any recommendations on what network type to use? NR/LTE/WCDMA and TDSCDMA both turn on VoLTE but NR/LTE/CDMA/EvDo (which is what I suspect SHOULD be the correct one) doesn't. I'm using Verizon in the US, btw.

volte missing in Samsung s8

I do not have very good reception where I am, so I started looking for things to help. Got a booster which wasn't much help. I then thought voice over wifi, so I checked if the s8 had it and yes it does, or so I thought. Voice over WiFi did not appear anywhere in my settings, my Telus provider was baffled as I was. We have been on the phone for hours. I with guidance backed up and factory reset my s8. This brought in an app under settings>Apps>more>show system apps and then scroll till I came to WiFi Calling. This appeared with the reset. Apparently something like that should appear in the phone app settings and have a switch, Mine does not. Then I discovered there were codes and service mode. Under code *#9090# I found a setting that reads "VoLTE Weakcell Setting.
My question is please if anyone knows how to implement WiFi Calling on s8 I would be grateful. God bless.

Typically, VoLTE functionality is controlled by your carrier in their system.
This is how it normally works:
1) your device must support/offer VoLTE service
2) your carrier must support VoLTE
3) your carrier must support VoLTE on your specific model number
4) your carrier enables VoLTE service to your device in their system somehow or they send you a specific SIM to enable VoLTE.
In other words, VoLTE support and functionality is more controlled on their end than it is on your end.
Yes I understand, when their tech support says s8 should do wifi calling, and the settings dont appear where they should, and then after a reset an app called "wifi calling" appears in the app list, but nothing anywhere else. Except, as I was able to find, there is a service mode and there is a selection there that is called "Weak Cell Settings". Sadly I dont have service programming manual. Thank you.

It could be that the network supports S8 but doesn't support your specific model number of S8, especially if the S8 that you are using is not the same model number as the specific model of S8 that they offered/sold on their network, if it's from another network and has been unlocked to be used on other networks, it may not be a specific model number that is specifically supported by their network. If this is the case, the specific model number(s) of S8 that they support would have a firmware that has the settings in the correct place but the firmware on your specific model number might not have it. Not all model numbers are equal, the firmware on each of them is designed and built by the specific network that it is branded to, with each if them having differences intentionally chosen by the network that is branded to, including what settings it has or doesn't.
Hi Everyone
Thank you for your help. Problem is solved. It is a service setting that sets the retail company selling you the phone and /or the plan. In my case I had a phone which my provider did not program when I began a new plan with them. all companies are listed and I guess the program for wireless calling is included with your selection of the company....phone responded immediately with all the proper programming. Thanks again for your time and effort

I've never known a device to have that setting. If your device is an international model, it would make sense to have that setting for the various regions/carriers.

VoLTE on XA2 Ultra H4213 ??

I have been struggling with getting a definitive answer to the question if VoLTE is possible on the H4213.
I am led to believe VoLTE is a software ability that does leverage on some hardware requirement.
After not finding the .."enable VoLTE switch" in settings on the Stock Rom but getting info from SONY that the H4213 is a VoLTE capable device, I flashed LineageOS 19.1 plus some Gapps to the Sony.
All good! Now there is a VoLTE slider in settings but still unable to get VoLTE connection. The sim is supposed to be 4G/LTE only.
When I run Network Cell Info (Device+sim) and #4636# Sim shows as ready and Network Type as LTE and in service, VoLTE ,Video calling and WiFi calling provisioned .... but Device Telephony shows Phone Type as GSM and VoLTE capable - No. Same for WiFi Call avail - No and Video Call - NO.
I have been thinking of running VoLTE-fix to see if this fixes anything but that would be of no use if the device HW is not VoLTE capable.
Anybody out there that can say with certainty that the device is VoLTE capable.
I have a suspicion that the sim may be the issue here, as I am also struggling to connect to Mobile data on the sim and the APN information looks dodgy.
This is with RainOne in South Africa, and the surprising thing is that if the number of that sim is called I immediately receive an SMS that I had received a call . SMS and Whatsapp works.
Any light on this issue will be appreciated. Ideas, thoughts anything !
Thanks
