Bad

Poor poor poor. Lot of noise. Absolutely no clarity. It reminds me of my Moto G. (2013)

The Nokia 6.1 Plus suffers a LOT in low light. It, without flash, almost sees nothing at night. Though I think it can be improved via software updates.
With Google Camera(v6.1 by Arnova8G2) even without night sight, it works fine, just like every budget device. And with night sight, while the pictures turn out to be a little bit unnatural, it's much, much better.

even after the pie update Nokia 6.1 plus low light images are not as good as expected

The quality can be greatly improved by switching to 4:3 ratio together with the google pixel camera apk

Perfect.
Fantastic!
The optimal camera resolution combined with the larger than normal camera sensor size gives lots of potential for low light shots when combined with good camera apps such as "OpenCamera" or "GoogleCameraMod" from BSG or Arnova. These advantages become even more evident when taking video in challenging light settings.

Tons of noise. Pictures are bad anyway, but worse in low light
Not that great of a low light performer. Photo's turn out pretty dark, not a lot of detail not very sharp and there is a lot of noise. Definitely not an owl!

Camera for a low light close shot are great
Was very surprised to see how well a close up image in low light turned out. I have to say in low light to pick up the colors it did was amazing. Samsung did great with this camera.

I would love to see some indoor, low to medium light photos of a kid or a pet. You know, something that isn't perfectly still.
Good
