1. Deactivate "Reactivation Lock" from settings.
2. Re-Flash your firmware with CHC not CHC_Home.
3. Now setup your Device with Full Information. (if network and Data Connection didn't work than you can setup without info. Reactivation lock disable works here to setup your device without samsung ID if your network fails)
4. Now set all things and Turn on Developer Option.
5. Now disable Apps Verification and turn on USB Debugging.
6. Now Login your Samsung Account and Restart your Device.
7. Now verify OTG. it will work fine
Here are some cache memory remains in Connector after flashing, Data transfer and Dual working cable.
and any Device should be reset after 2 to 3 Months. That's why OTG Stopped working

Unable to connect Samsung Galaxy Grand 2 (G7102) to PC

From the past 2 days, I am trying to connect my samsung galaxy grand 2 (g7102) with my pc, but unfortunately, its not detecting my phone. And I don't even have a clue whether it happened because of me or not..
I've already tried several steps to solve my prob but none of them worked.
Like-
1. Rebooting the phone, clearing cache n dalvik cache.
2. Uninstalled all its drivers from computer and reinstalling latest one's.
3. Installed Kies3 to check its discoverable or not.
4. Changing modes from mtp to ptp to adb.
5. Cleaning off the pins and using its original data cable.
After these steps what I found out is that after fresh installed drivers it attempts to install its own driver which takes too long but after installing it does not get detected in my computer but rather it shows up in device manager with name "SAMSUNG_Android".
I know it cant be rom (Note 4 Alpha S6 Revolution) issue or anything like that, but also i believe its not pin broken issue as it is charging plus when i uninstalled all its drivers it tries to reinstall.
So please help me out and suggest something .
Thanks in advance .
Phase 1:
1. Open Settings
2. Goto "System"
3. Goto "About Device"
4. Goto where it says "Build number"
5. Tap that 10 or so times.
Phase 2:
1. Go back to the "System" tab in settings
2. Click ''Developer Options"
3. Enable USB Debugging.
4. Profit.
Hope this helps!

Make sure that You use USB 2.0 port. I had same problem with 3.0 and avoid usb hubs. You can also tap on that "cable charging" and see if it gives You options like:
Charging only
File transfer
MTP
MIDI.

Hello,
Tried with BOTH USB 2.0 and USB 3.0. Taping on the ""cable charging" does nothing.
Thanks for trying to help :good:
Have You tried doing a factory reset? Odin doesn't always do that unless You will choose a BL file. If nothing will work, don't root etc the phone, just take it to Samsung Repair Center and they will fix it within a week or two. And this way it will be 100% free. Otherwise they would charge You $200+ if it was rooted or knox was tripped.

I did a factory reset from recovery. Yes , it may be a hardware problem , but i don't understand why the phone works in DOWNLOAD MODE. Just doesn't make sense.
Here is something that worked for me.
Activate Developer options on your phone. To do this go to Settings < About phone < Build number and tap Build number 7 times quickly.
Return to Settings and scroll down to Developer options, tap it and scroll down to USB Configuration. Tap it and you will a number of options. Try taping MTP. If that does not work try long pressing it. If that does not work tap one of the other options such as Midi and then go back and tap MTP.
This should activate the ability to download files and still allow charging.
This worked for me on my Verizon S6.
Good luck.

Tried in "Developer menu" with USB debugging ON/OFF and with all the option available in the "USB configuration menu" (MTP,PTP, MIDI, etc)in "Developer menu" .
Tried also using the *#0808# code for USB SETTINGS.
Can't detect the device using a computer , showing nothing in DEVICE manager ,neither the device can't detect any PC showing only "Cable charging" without the "Connected as media device" message.
I really can't understand why it does work in ODIN - DOWNLOAD MODE.
I will try a NAND ERASE , if its still happening , obviously is hardware related.

Try Cosmic Rom or other that fully supports MTp, or try to flash the 3.0.2 TWRP and then boot into it and connect to the PC if its working then maybe some USb driver issue. try Driver Booster. If still not working please ping me what version and what OS you are using.

Question Cant format data on twrp ( rom persist installed)

flashed pixel ui rom yesterday and tried to flash another rom because this rom uses ultra slow battery charge (20% in 4 hours....)and now pc dont recognises phone on twrp or fastboot ( tried all drivers, formatted pc etc).
I can enter twrp and when i format data it says in red on the top ``unable to mount system_ext´´ but it says format is ok.... but the rom persist and is not formated.
No system folder to format when i enter ''advanced wipe''
If i restart... the rom charges normally.
i bought otg to try to flash over, via otg (because pc dont recognises phone)
what else can I do? (while i get otg)
thnks

Turn on USB debug mode in developer setting.
Use this TWRP:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/t/recovery-unofficial-alpha-teamwin-recovery-project.4269551/
You need TWRP to be boot under fastboot with code
Code:
fastboot boot _______(TWRP file name)
Not fastboot reboot recovery.
Flash MIUI back first. You will not remove the Rom with format data.
What do you mean "formatted pc"?
Cant do this because as i said, pc don’t recognize phone and cant connect via fastboot or adb.
Tried all options and pc don’t recognize phone.
I turned on usb debug and no device detected in devices administrator.
I have all drivers installed.
i mean i did format to pc to try fresh drivers installation (but didn’t worked)

Use official USB cable. Don't use a USB hub. Connect directly to the laptop. Change a USB port.
Plug your phone USB cable to laptop, switch file transfer mode on phone drop down menu, then reboot your laptop without disconnecting your phone from laptop.
Your problem might be with PC, so reboot PC with the phone plugged and choose file transfer mode. Sometimes PC will detect driver during reboot.
File transfer mode should be able to set to default in developer menu.
I'm not sure what you mean format PC because format PC for me is to have everything gone, including user settings, program, data, Windows update in C:/ drive, so you will have to setup the user names and settings again.
If you insist, I already provide you the alternative way: Flash MIUI back first using OTG and TWRP. Whether eu or official doesn't matter. Then format data.
Tried all, restarted pc with usb plugged, i use only official usb. Changed usb port, file transfer mode… and nothing worked.
yes, format pc with everything gone.
I had to do it anyway and I took advantage of it, to install the drivers from 0 , but unfortunately didn’t worked.
will try flashing xiaomi.eu rom zip with otg when receive it in a few hours.

You have laptop or desktop?
If it's desktop, connect USB on the motherboard directly, the place where you see many ports and VGA/ HDMI output.
Also a system update might be needed.
When you connect to you PC, does the led notification lights up for charging on the phone?
And what is the error message on the top (in red) “unable to mount system_ext”” when i format data?

If the phone charges when you connect to PC, it does have connection to the PC without a doubt.
I think it's may be problem with the rom, or you did not do the correct setting, or maybe your USB cable is broken in data transfer.
Since you reset your PC completely, system update is recommended.

That problem is probably because you run TWRP from flashed in the recovery partition. Nebrassy TWRP works better when fastboot boot. He already wrote it in his thread.

Remove phone password, finger print and picture password is also needed to be remove.
When you are in TWRP, connect USB to PC.
See if you can see the phone.
The driver will need some time to install, so you might also go to device manager in Windows and write click to scan for new devices.
Nah, tried and nothing happens.
I think the problem is the rom, because when I connect to pc don’t have the notification to select transfer data, only charge etc ( instead I selected transfer data in developer options).
i will try format data and flash another rom with otg.

In the meantime, use your phone browser and download MIUI rom and the custom rom you want to flash. Place it in the Download folder.
Remove any Android passwords, finger print and facelock that it is in a state when you boot up, you just swipe up and are in the Android launcher.
Disable find my device function in Google setting and logout your Google account.
Make sure the download process is not interrupted. After download complete, boot into TWRP.
Press install and see if the downloaded MIUI rom and custom rom zip files are visible.
For ArrowsOS with TWRP flashed inside recovery partition and data is encrypted, I can still see zip files when I went into recovery through Magisk.
If you can see the zip files, you should be able to flash Rom.
Offff ou yeah.

If you checked xiaomi eu can connect to your PC, then also report to Pixel UI about your issue happened, so they can fix it.
.
but pc dosnt recognize phone.
i flashed img of twrp nebrassy via twrp old and now hace twrp nebrassy, but phone not recognized.
i think is a problem with drivers, but installed a script found on xda that installs adb and device drivers.

One of my assume was correct then.
Check your country Xiaomi warrant coverage and see if they cover the cable warrant.
If they have warrant, ask for replacement.
