Nexus 5 RMA

Hello everybody. I have an almost new (3 weeks old) black nexus 5 16 gb. Everything was fine till today, when I heard, that the main ear speaker went very low on volume, when someone called me. It's the same on playing music in power amp or watching videos. I thing, it's the famous Google issue, that many people had in their phones.
Anyway, my phone is unlocked and rooted. Do I have here in Poland lock and unroot it back before I send it back to LG, or can I just send it? Do I get somehow a nexus 5 as a replacement first or not?

If you have bought it from the playstore, then you need to contact Google. Google doesn't care whether it's rooted or not. However, warranty under LG is a different matter... I would strongly suggest you to get back to stock before sending the device in!

Go fully stock, reset the tamper flag and lock the bootloader!

I didn't bought it from play store :-\ so I have to stock it back. Good, that I don't have many customs apps

Apart from apps and rom, make sure you have flashed the stock recovery, reset the tamper flag and locked the bootloader as well!
AFAIK, you don't get a replacement phone... However, policies differ from center to center.
BTW, are you sure the volume problem is indeed a hardware issue and not a software one? Why don't you try flashing the factory images and double check??

I just noticed, that I have a software issue rather than hardware. After a long restart phone, the sound is clear and loud. The voice goes now from one of the two speakers at the bottom of the phone, instead the ear speaker.
I will take some time and see, if it's happen again before factory reset.

There is only one speaker at the bottom. The left one is the speaker and the right one is the mic.

Well I read on other thread that google places a hold of 350$ on your credit card and send you a new phone.
The hold is deleted when you give your old phone to the RMA

Sbow notification panel by fingerprint

Any one got ot to work.. The lollipop have option to shiw notification panel by fingerprint senor BUT it do not work at least for me...

Where did you find that setting?

can you check your firmware number please?

I have this Option too but its not working i have B324 build

If you used b300 to fix some bugs that's why you have that option. Won't work. On b324 clean install there is no such option.

As far as I understood it won't work on the HAM7 anyway, perhaps it's designed for Mate S hardware - but it's just my guess.
For me to accept a call or take a foto by fingerprint works, the gestures not.
You can find it under >Settings>Fingerprint-ID and it's not grayed out there.

I see the options too, but they aren't working. I upgraded to B324 from B313 (MT7-TL10), no reset.

Where can you see that option? I cant find it anywhere

I don't have that. Now I think that going LP was a bad idea. If I wait for OTA, will it be the same as the one posted on the site?

with f print u can only answer call and take pictures or rec video .. no notification unfortunately.. those who has it in settings reset/restore your phone and it will disappear after..

I've read that elsewhere as well. I think I may reset my phone this weekend - will report back if it does indeed disappear. Makes no difference though - it doesn't work either way.

I dont know why u guys asking for finger print sencor notification...its not support for mate 7
First in beta version they send us thats version for test which is from Mate S (I guess) or any other device from huawei which support fp sencor,
Second, i m sure u guys install this official version directly from lp beta version which completely give u error or some kind of buggs...
read instruction in that download pakage, or i can say u can install from 120,125,138 which is the official kitkat release on huawei forum...pls dont complain anything about official version untill u cant install fresh one...the is the most fast, suitable and strongest without any error version i ever seen in andriod...even other brand cant seem fast and beautiful when i compare my mate 7 with them...so read command in all thread, get idea then start install....one thing i want to make sure there is not such kind of fp sencor for notification, it was only in beta they send us for test which for our device, our mate 7 hardware doesn't support fp sencor....

Still gonna reset this weekend. Holding thumbs for the Mate 7 being listed for upgrade to Marshmallow...

I m always calm dude...just say few words which will help others...specially whose saying to downgrade from 324 by mean that version not stable...i just did clear that i m runny with everything fine...

i'm 100% sure that it's not a hardware problem, and I can explain why:
First you have to turn on the option in developer settings which will show where you touch the screen, then you go into the stock gallery app (or camera), and then you touch the fp sensor and see what happens. You will see how the marker will move through the screen without touching it. It doesn't only detect different fingerprints but also where you touch it. If you touch it on the left it will move right. I you touch it on the right it will move left, touch on top move down, touch in the upper left corner it will go diagonal to the lower right corner etc..
now if you think logical it should detect a swipe down movement easily, as it only needs to realize that you touched the top, the middle and the bottom. There may be problems to make it not detect unwanted swipes due to it not beeing that precise I guess but it shouldn't be that hard to fix it..
if they only released the source code for it then some modders could easily script something for us..

Mi4c cannot answer calls

So my problem is that when my phone has been standing idle for a longer period of time and then somebody calls, the touchscreen doesn't work. I cannot slide the green phone icon and I cannot answer the call. All buttons work, I can switch the screen off, the bottom keys vibrate when I press them, but I still can't answer the call. I had the problem with the Chinese Dev ROM and also with sMiui. Any ideas how to fix it?

my p8max mod

here my p8max (DAV-701L)
1: changed Displayglas to a black one, now complete black the front
2: removed a little bit the black color from the back of the glas to see more of the LED
(i dont know why huawei makes a 0.001mm hole for the LED)
3: non-glare (matt) Screen-Protector
Now its my dream phone (first i want buy the xiaomi max but the white front is an absolutely NO-GO)
ROM now: Android 6.0, DAV-703LC233B211 (no KangVip!) changed all to Google: Google Dialer, Contact,
Voice recording, double tap wake up and double tap to sleep (sleep i do with Nova Launcher)
No problems with Notifications coz on boot i ran one script with inside: dumpsys deviceidle disable
Now the phone is really nice and running really 100% stable!
Please dont ask on which way i put this rom on the 701, many month i try so much and i have so much
trouble and so many boot-loops ... but one day all is good. I dont know why but its working super nice.
But really i try so much, maybe flashing more then 80x times different roms and so on ...

Wow nice job! It looks great. Still waiting here for a big black phone with nice specs. Yes the Z Ultra is black and kinda big, but that one is too told. I have high hopes for the Asus Zenfone 3 Ultra.

yes, looking for asus too, but the battery is less then the xiaomi max, all the big phones have no nfc ... its really hard

How much screen on time do you get? I have a 701L I was thinking about selling it, but if I can squeeze more performance and fix notifications i'd be satisfied I think. How do I run the script?

You are the second person to say that. Obviously I'm getting much less than you guys. I think it has to do with the apps I have running. What system apps have you guys disabled/removed? That'd be a big help to me if you don't mind.

so the system apps are already posted .. as well as the system sounds where are dem wallpapers ? the one shown in the presentation as well as the Vice theme one and the Venom theme wallpaper ? and can some one post the nova launcher save file ( from stock fresh after powering on the first time ) so that we see all the stock nova settings they used ?

In press reviews for this phone there's a picture that looks like a mountain range or volcano with infrared color effects. It seems like it's a stock wallpaper, but it isn't included with the others that have been posted. Anyone know where to find that?
