And update via the updater app. I think they have incorporated the Mi 8 camera features, as I now have the "studio lightning" options with portrait pictures.

Points to Keep In Mind:
It's only available for Mi 8 & Mi MIX 2S now.
It only works in rear cam.
It only works in portrait mode.
Face portion should be more in the frame, otherwise it won't work.
Does it improve photo quality ? Or just add functions ?
IMO the new camera update just makes pictures worse.. too much smoothing of surfaces
Can i install the update dirctely without loosing Twrp and all my data after that, or must i do it with flashable zip to avoid any complication ???

I just did and it was fine.
Not sure if it's related to the subject update but my Tasker app is no longer locked. It used to work beautifully.
I checked and its setting is still locked and unrestricted. But it just gets cleared from memory frequently and doesn't stick. My Norton Internet security is still locked properly though. Not sure what happened. Can anything advise? Thanks much.

Sorry for the naïve question, but is it likely that Xiaomi's face unlock feature can be incorporated within custom ROMs? Presumably they'd have to really honour their commitment to be developer friendly in order to release this, but is it anticipated?

Well... No matter our device is so called "developer friendly". But main thing is "if" AOSP's upstream supports it. For example fingerprint works on custom roms because its api is already available for us,no need to do extra fuss to rewrite the code. But about that face recognition IR sensor

Sorry bro i rolled back to miui. But about notification as far i remember
Its same time was showing at left and sim/battery was on right. Don't know about notification, yea but we got heads up display feature, which is far better than miui's implementation of heads up display

When I try to flash the image on my phone, it only takes a few seconds for it to work (which I find quite suspicious since it's quite heavy) and then when I want to reboot it bootloop once and then go to fastboot mode. Do you have any idea what am I doing wrong? I've tried redownloading the image, extracting it again, flashing it a few times nothing seems to work.

On the main thread someone said that the last update (which doesn't boot on our device) fixed the notch compatibility. So how is it on the previous build? Can we see them properly? Are they cropped?

It open, I can take picture but not see them and it crash often.
It's clearly still really Alpha but there's great potential.

It was a patch I found on telegram, 'camera_patch_for_global_users_by_taran107&ritzz' <<<flashed this on TWRP.
I switched to PE extended and now everything works including gcam 6.1.

Pixel3mod doesn't work( front cam issues), and don't install the patch if you are using the Indian variant...

How did you get it to work. I installed the gcam and the patch given above on my Redmi Note 5 Pro Indian variant but it just keeps crashing on PixyOS 2.2 (9.0 Pie). I also tried it on Pixel Experience 9.0 but it crashes on that as well even after installing the patch. Do you have any fix for this

Can it work as a daily driver even though it's still in alpha
In every modded Google Camera I use, front cam does not take photos. How to fix this? Flashing this google camera fix via TWRP would solve the problem?

It works on my global version not indian version,cause there is a variation at the cameras

Anyway, is it possible to change the corner radius for natifications panel? It looks prety odd now
Camera on my device works just fine after a factory reset.
My only problem now is how to remove the cellular signal since i only like to have just both wifi signal and battery only.
i tried hiding the cellular signal using the UI tuner but it seens to not work, any ideas?
Cons: the fact that the stock launcher is only the one who gets integrated in the recents is really bad, try using another custom launcher and the recents just get bad.

I'm in Poland and I just got the update. What's interesting is that I now have battery percentage in the statusbar.
Edit: Battery percentage can now be enabled using SystemUI tweaks.

I am From Pakistan And Subscribed To Beta By Recruitment Process. But Somehow Haven't Selected Yet . And As Well As Process Define Above Does Not Work Too And The Update Haven't Received Yet By Itself.

Make folder in internal storage like below.
Gcam/Configs
And place the config files in it. Then open Gcam click the black area of shutter button right side below. That's it.

I've installed today last version and it works for me without the config file recommended in this thread (the config file crashes the app so I've placed other config file of the available in the same Web in which app is available). I hope this could also works for you.

Some things don't work, like the selfie camera. I've installed the 7.4 3359 version. Did you install that one or the 3344 one? Just in case something don't work fine because in the version I installed it says something about S20...

I've also installed the 3359 version and selfie camera doesn't work also. There has some bugs but the quality is better than with standard one. I'll use both apps until the bugs will be fixed.

Hello, last time i friend has shown his mi 10 to me and i launched his stock camera app.
i saw that there is a manual video mode when switching to "pro" mode.
I could set the white balance, the exposure, the ISO and the focus when taking video. It was awesome. I could lock the exposure while autofocus was working and videos looked much more precessional without the annoying automatic brightness changes when recording a scene.
Even a log profile could be selected.
I ask my self if the stock camera app of the mi 10 could be ported to note 10( tranfer and modify the apk)
Any ideas? I don't think xiaomi want to give this feature to us..

Hi, in the "pro" tab of the mi 10 camera app there is a button right to the shoot button which let you toggle between video and photo. I cannot see this in your screenshot.

Thank you for your interesting website. I can't read Russian but according to the translation the mod seems to enable the pro video mode. Unfortunately the download links were all death. Do your have a mirror of the files?

Hello Roman i only have a little issue with manual video in pro mode:
I cant set the manual white balance (Kelvin value)
The only workaround is switching to photo mode, selecting the Kelvin value and then switching back zu Video mode. I hope this can fixed on future..

there is such an error. So far I haven't found how to fix it, but I'm curious to know if this works on mi 10 pro or mi 10?
is there any update to the camera app? it's a great mod

I was able to donload the mod, but when I tried to go to the settings inside the camera, the camera would close. Then I saw that in the link you put, the solution also comes in case the app is not renamed well or it closed when trying to start it.
The solution is: delete the / data / system / package_cache / folder and restart the phone.
Miui12_Camera (Noise) .zip file adds option ZERO_SHUTTER_LAG is intended to be used by applications that keep a continuous circular buffer of high resolution images during preview and reprocess the images in that buffer into a final capture when activated by the user.
