MultiWindow native support... how to get it done? - Vivo Nex Questions & Answers

Dears,
as you seen, the multi-window is limited to a specific and related set of apps also forcing it into the dev menu.
Did anyone found a solution? I guess the starting point should be the rooting and as extreme measure just rename the apps we are looking for with the ones trusted by VIVO but only upon rounting.
Did you have a better/working way?
Cheers,

[Q] Camera access while bypassing phone security

What I want: I want to access my camera without unlocking my phones security. Occasionally you want to take a quick camera shot but this is easy to do quick when there's a telephone security in place. I think iPhones have this feature, but I also think I've seen it on the Xperia S.
What I have: My telephone is an HTC Sensation, rooted s-off and the like. I'm currently on a Sense based ROM (though Sense is stripped and the experience is basic Android ICS like): HyperNonSense. I own WidgetLocker, and I can place a shortcut to the camera but then I'm still bugged with the security in place.
What I don't want: I don't want to disable my phones security.
What I have done: I've searched a lot, seriously a lot, but have not find a satisfying solution. I did find two solutions I did not like or could not test:
Solution 1: This solution says it is possible to achieve this using a (1*1) widget acting as the camera. I, however, have not found such a widget.
Solution 2: Soution 2 requires Tasker, however I don't feel like buying this solution 1) for only this purpose and 2) when I'm not even sure this solution still works.
So the question: Does anyone know if and how I can achieve what I want: access to my camera to take a quick pic without unlocking my android device's security?
Edit: argh... not sure if this is the right subforum
Not sure if it will work have u tried using desktop Visualizer to make a widget/icon to link to camera ?

Although I kinda hate myself for not finding that application myself to test this, it also did not work as I had hoped it would. I doubt whether the "widget approach" even would work. Thanks for the input though.

I know this is an old post, but has anyone been able to achieve this?
I came across Solution 2 mentioned in the original post (using Tasker and Widget Locker), but have not been able to import the profile at all.. and the scripting is a lil too complicated for me to understand.

I was able to import the profile, but it seems it still needs a task which is not defined on the profile.

[Q] How to hide app from settings>applicationmanager>list?

Hello all.
I am trying to find out if it is possible or not to hide an app from the Settings>application_manager>list.
Not from the main menu, not from the main screen.
Smartphone: Samsung Galaxy S4 Mini.
Android 4.2.2
This smartphone is rooted.
I have already read threads explaining to remove a line from manifest, but I believe this is not what I want.
Also, please, if there is a solution to effectively make an app invisible through normal ways to find, tell me if I have to edit files or to work in a rooted shell in the smartphone. I do not need to access the app's GUI once installed, as it runs on background all the time.
Thank-you, really.

Security, privacy, prevent from tampering, hide apps: Root and/or Add new user, etc?

What is the best way to administrate some normal user's phone (the choice is either yet unrooted Samsung J5 2017, or rooted LG G3 d855 running RESURRECTION REMIX 7.1.1_r9) for security, privacy, prevention from tampering (whenever administrator is not physically nearby), and if possible the best way to also put some hidden backgroud running app(s) into the phone which would be visible to administrator user only?
The requirement is to remove ability for unknown smart people who would get the phone in their hands and know the password of that normal user to hack it or install any hidden spyware or tracking apps, etc.
Should the unrooted phone be rooted then?
Does rooting help or is it even easier for someone else to tamper with the device exactly because it's rooted?
Could 'Add new user' be a part of solution too (i.e. let the normal phone user use the phone as an additional user only)?
What else could be done to make this kind of things possible?
A little bit related question is here, for context:

Are questions like these answered somewhere else? I couldn't find it. Or is such kind of privacy, security not possible? Or why noone answers to my questions?..

changing default phone app android - (CUSTOM ROMS ONLY)

DON'T YOU DARE REPLY WITH ANY OF THE FOLLOWING NEWBIE RESPONSES
SETTINGS > APPS > DEFAULTS doesn't work
CLEAR DEFAULTS doesn't work
RESET APPS doesn't work
ANYTHING IN THE "SETTINGS" WILL WORK
Any obvious answer DOES NOT WORK.
This may seem like a newbie question, But this newbie here Has Exhausted all of your newbie suggestions.
(note: looking for a solution, not specific to zoiper, but for any voip app. i use zoiper but i have tried with a few other voip apps with no success.)
I have been searching for years now, trying to find a way to force "zoiper" to replace "phone"
In the last year, after trying 5 completely different roms, zoiper doesn't even appear as a choice in the default phone app list.
This will require an advanced solution, I am hoping it will be found in modifying a .xml or .prop file, rather than having to change the framework. (which is where i draw the line)
Good luck with this XDA,
I among many frustrated Voiper's will be forever grateful for a practical solution.

Karoo 2 Apps to Other phones

I have purchased a cycling specific device called the Karoo 2. Its great..... but I want some functionality it doesn't offer.
I would like to install the apps that come on that system and use them on another device. I have pulled all the APKs from the device and attempted to load them onto another device. Some of them "work", but none of them communicate with each other the way they do on the Karoo.
Any suggestions on how to get this going? Anyone have any interest in making this their project for my benefit? My coding experience and understanding of inter-app functionality is limited.
Cheers and thanks!
