A lot.
AOKP stands for Android Open Kang Project. It is a custom ROM distribution for several high-end Android devices. The name is a play on the word kang and AOSP (Android Open Source Project). The name was sort of a joke, but it just stuck, just like our infatuation with unicorns.
We fork the source code of Android that Google puts out in the open with every major version release, and we then add the magical unicorn bytes (read: we add some of the coolest features that are both useful and make your ROM awesome).
With AOKP, you can generally do a lot more with your device than what you could do with the original firmware that came installed on it.
What's working:
Note: Every important feature should work properly.
・ Boot
・ Wifi
・ Bluetooth
・ Camera (Photos & Videos)
・ Audio
・ Sensors
・ GPS
・ RIL
・ Adaptive Brightness
What's not working:
Note: You are going to tell me that!
Instructions:
・ Make sure your Bootloader is unlocked and you have TWRP installed properly.
・ Download the latest build from the second post and the gapps.
・ Boot to TWRP and perform a full wipe.
・ Flash the latest build and gapps.
・ Reboot to system.
・ Enjoy and hit Thanks Button of this Thread.
If you are unable to boot the ROM, read the instructions again and don't come cry here, you will be ignored!

Hhave you had any issues with viber? I was using it on first AOSiP release and had issues with app not connecting to server until I open it and wait couple of minutes, although it was registered with microG.

I know, and many people reported about this problem already. There will be an update soon with a fix that enables navigation bar by default. Also thinking of making weekly builds & making this build official...
Stay tuned,

Somehow - I must highlight it is my personal impression - somehow that the colours are better on your ROM. Some greens and blues that on lineage based ROMs appear slightly dull, they seem a little clearer and more saturated. Or would you say that is a wrong impression?

Thanks for supoort

- To fix Facebook / Messenger FC delete or rename the libsslx.so from data/data/com.facebook.katana/lib.xzs and from/data/data/com.facebook.orca-1/lib.xzs (Root Needed). This workaround needs to be done on every reboot

Reporting Bugs
You are allowed to report bugs only in this thread.
Grab a logcat right after the problem has occurred. (Please include at least a few pages of the log, not just the last few lines, unless you know what you're doing.)
If it is a random reboot, grab /proc/last_kmsg. (Do not bother getting a logcat unless you can get it just before the reboot. A logcat after a reboot is useless)
If the problem disappears after running "setenforce 0" from a root shell, grab /data/misc/audit/audit.log
Remember to provide as much info as possible. The more info you provide, the more likely that the bug will be solved. Please also do not report known issues. The following is a useful format to follow.

Hi everybody!
First, I would like to thank GHsR for his works. I'm using AOSP 6.0.1 daily and my i9105p has a new life again
Second, I would like to give a shot to OmniROM.
Can I just flash this rom over my AOSP one (version: 20160709), like an upgrade?

LineageOS is based on the Android Open Source Project with extra contributions from many people within the Android community. It can be used without any need to have any Google application installed. Linked below is a package that has come from another Android project that restore the Google parts. LineageOS does still include various hardware-specific code, which is also slowly being open-sourced anyway.
All the source code for LineageOS is available in the LineageOS Github Repo. And if you would like to contribute to LineageOS, please visit out Gerrit Code Review.

Installation Instructions
Make a backup!
If you were on CM 10.1 or a stock ROM prior to 4.2, upgrade to stock 4.2 first.
Install ClockworkMod or TWRP recovery with SELinux support. Older CWM will result in a "status 7" error.
Download the ROM and GApps
Reboot to recovery
Wipe data/factory reset if coming from stock or another non-CM ROM (You may get a "staus 7" error if you fail to wipe.)
Flash the ROM and then GApps
For GT-I9105 flash nfc destroyer
Reboot your phone
Enjoy!
To upgrade to a newer build, simply flash the zip. There's no need for data wipe or flashing Google Apps again. (However, if you are experiencing strange issues, you may want to try a wipe.)

It is
Can someone test this version for a while and give a few opinions. Right now my s2plus is still my daily driver so before I jump from 6 to 7 Id like to be at least confident I can rely on it for whatsapp, video, netflix and pokemon go. I really want to upgrade to the new UI, I love the new notification tab.
Is the 'Clear All' button available in the Recent App despite no thumbnail shown?
Since cm official updates are dead now what does this mean to this Rom?
Will try this ROM out when I have time. One question though, will it support Gapps package from OpenGApps?
One way or another, will try this out, cheers!

Do I need to clean flash from CM13?
thanks for the ROM it's good to experience the android nougat in our old phones
i was wondering when you'll come up with next build to fix the mentioned bugs
I'm trying this rom from yesterday and all I can say is that it works at least at the same level of cm13 for me, and it's only on his first release, really great!
The only bugs I found (except screenshots and recent apps issues) are with the app MyBoy (the GBA emulator) that doesn't work and when I launch a game it crashes instantly, then too much refreshes when I come back in the home page (I'm using Nova Launcher 5.0.1) and for last I can't get access to microSD with the stock file manager, it says that I need root for that but even with root access activated it doesn't let me go in there, but I can by-pass this issue using Solid Explorer, that gives me no problem about that
Anyway, great work and I'm waiting for the next release

FAQs.
1.ROM is based on?
* Roms is Based was AOSP-CAF now its fully rebased to pure CAF with few lineage elements.
2.Supports 4k Video Recording?
* Yes , use SnapCam included in the Project Build.
2 Changelogs?
- Please check my commits on Github or the changelogs section in Settings->About Phone.
3. Does VertexOS work with other GApps, TWRPs, firmwares, SU, kernels, tweaks, Viper4Android, etc?
- Please feel free to try, but I may not give support for issues caused.
4. Deep sleep issues?
- Reboot or clean flash.
5. Mobile network issues?
- Toggle airplane mode to see if it fixes the problem. Please check your APN and Preferred Network Type in Mobile Network Settings. If your APN is missing, please share the APN you want me to add.
6. Why is the security patch in "About phone" outdated?
This ROM tracks CAF, which lags behind AOSP by a bit. However, you shouldn't be worried about this because CAF brings in the latest security commits even when the stated security patch level in "About phone" is outdated. Trust me, I've compared the commits of our CAF tag with the latest AOSP branch commits, and also with the Android Security Bulletin. Please just wait patiently for CAF to update the security patch string. I can easily change it and 'cheat' you guys, but I'm never going to do such a thing. So please be patient and know that your device has the security patches.
7. Facing odd drains and issues with apps (message notifications not showing)?
* Stop restoring them with Titanium Backup
* Stop using hacky tweaks
8. Google Play Services drains?
* Clean flash
* Stop restoring everything with Titanium Backup
9. Losing Magisk root?
* Don't enable the BusyBox option
10.Can I dirty flash over previous builds?
* Yes but you may face some issues.
11.Is it Pre-rooted?
* NO.
12.What about Google Assistant?
* Its in the Project by Default.
Awesome job bro
Keep up the good work

Amazing rom, it has everything I need to be a daily driver! But the FOD isn't working for some reason and the brightness is overall kinda finicky, is it a bug or just me? And can you please link the wallpaper that you're using?

Yes, the auto brightness is kinda sucks for now (still can't find the right solution for it), but I don't have any issues for the FOD, what's your vendor version ?

I'm on the latest global V11.0.1.0 firmware, fingerprint is working perfectly but in the always on display it's not. Also even without auto brightness, the brightness seems all over the place. Other than that it's a pretty good rom.
Edit: Flashing Immensity kernel seems to have fixed the FOD. But the brightness is still glitchy.

Nice to know, thanks.
Will diff utsav's implementation later.
Finally, the first custom ROM in which my FOD worked!
Many thanks for this ROM! It runs great aside from the mentioned brightness issue.
One super minor thing that you might want to consider is the icon for the ANX camera that you include. Right now it's the Google Camera icon, and it gets a little bit confusing for us that use a real Gcam app aside ANX. It's customisable in the launcher, but not when choosing standard app, for example setting the app for double tap to open camera.
Is this based on the ROM from kunalshah912?
I've found a prop called "magic brightness" or something like this. I can't remember in which file it was/is, but I could search and give feedback, if I found it. Maybe this will fix the autobrightness bug which is also in the ROM from kunalshah912.
Shortly played with it looks like a nice rom, keep up the good work dev.
Just wanted to let you and other people know that Android Auto is giving same problems as most other AOSP roms
I had high hopes seeing that the device tree had a bunch of commits of the guy from PE.

Brightness is a big issue in this build. Its changing too often and manual brightness is like 0% is 40% on other Roms. Its too Light.
