OnePlus 6 Official Cases and Official 3D Tempered Glass Screen Protector, in this video I take a look at all the official OnePlus 6 Cases and compare them and I also check out the Official OnePlus Tempered Glass Screen Protector for the OnePlus 6. Is this the best tempered glass screen protector for the OnePlus 6? Which Case is best for you? Which cases does the 3D tempered glass screen protector work with? Find This Out Now! I take a look at the:
OnePlus 6 Silicone Protective Case,
OnePlus 6 Protective Case - Sandstone,
OnePlus 6 Bumper Case - Karbon - Ebony Wood - Nylon

Otterbox Commuter Case review for the OnePlus 6, this is a dual layer case so very protective. Inside there is a soft silicone layer which is then covered by a hard shell. At £27 I would say it's good value for money but the bulk may put some of you off. I got the indigo blue colour version and I noticed that it doesn't work with the official OnePlus 6 glass screen protector. Check out the video here:

Thank you for review.
I have this case, very good quality, perfect protection but of course it's bulk. Do you think it will be compatible with Orzly TG?

I can see that there is not much lip high to protect the screen. If u apply TG this case is really useless to protect you screen.

Your reviews are fantastic! I subscribed, thanks

If We talk about Screen protection, Lenovo also provides the best Screen protection from their Lenovo Customer Support. Its provide Corning Gorilla Glass for better protection and IPS LCD. No doubt One Plus 6 is the best phone for all the features but in the Average price, you can go with Lenovo Z5.

Full Protection Help - Nexus 4 Full Film screen protector and bumper case

Hi xdas,
I just ordered my Nexus 4, finally!!, and i want to get some protection for my baby when it delivers. I am looking for a full screen protector film for front and back or even sides, and a bumper case, for a cheap and reasonable quality product. The official Nexus 4 bumper case is priced too high for a case, so i decided to look for other options. I would like to hear some suggestions on the full film screen protector and bumper case, and i would prefer to buy it from ebay or amazon or the company's official website, because i do not trust unknown sites.
The few products i found for bumper cases are:
Poetic Borderline Bumper Case - $9.95
Shenit Bumper Case - $14.95 (Not sure about this, seems unknown)
for full film screen i found:
XtremeGuard Full Body screen protector shield - $3.99 or $4.99
Skinomi TechSkin for Nexus 4 - $12.99
ZAGG invisibleSHIELD for Nexus 4 - Full Body ($20.96) vs Maximum Coverage ($20.65) I do not know if the Maximum is better because it might interfere with buttons and other holes because it is not cut properply
Note: Can anyone tell me also if *wet* application is good, because i read some reviews that it damages the phone, and you have to dip it in soap, yikes, a phone in water i think its going to damage it.
Can you guys recommend me to some other alternatives other than the one i posted and if also you can give me reviews on those i posted?
Thanks so much in advance!
*Edit: I added the links for each item.
BUMP! any suggestions still?

I currently have the poetic bumper, and it's good till it splits, but the company has a really good warrant and has been shipping out replacements pretty quickly. Heard there's a new version, but waiting on this one to break first. As of screens protectors, I had an extreme guard, took it off, but prolly putting another back on. Just a helpful hint about applying wet apply screen protectors, DO NOT PLACE THE PHONE IN WATER. The protector goes in the water, then onto your phone. The phone is dry, the protector gets wet, to slide on the phone easier (giggedy). Here is a video to help you along. The wet apply protectors can go over the edges of the phone while the dry one won't cover that portion of the screen. Hope that helps.

Go with the xoskins case fit version. They are wet install but don't have orange peel. They also come with spray and lifetime replacements. Get a generic bumper on amazon. Some ship from china some ship from the US. Make sure so you dont end up waiting 2 months for a bumper.
I use skinomi carbon fiber skins on all my devices. No bumpers, cases, or anything else that makes the phone bulky or harder to carry in my front jeans pocket. Just ordered for my N4, can't wait to slap it on.
As for screen protector, I run it naked. I don't carry anything else in my left pocket besides my phone and just am generally careful to not scratch the screen.
I got a cheap xtremeguard for the back, nothing on the front because I love how slick it is and the poetic bumper.
For me it is the perfect setup except I'm on my 2nd bumper because the first one separated.

I'm confused about why people would use a wet install skin on the Nexus 4. Wet skins are meant for phones that don't need a bumper and give some shock absorption. The Nexus 4 needs a bumper/case because it is made from glass. If it falls with only a wet skin protecting it, it will still crack. Anyhow, the transparent sticky ones from eBay look even better and they only cost 50 cents.

Aren't you playing with fire? Even with skinomi, if you drop your phone once on the pavement, the glass will probably still crack.

Does the OnePlus 6 come with a screen protector pre-applied?

I've watched at least 5 unboxing videos now and while every video seems to show a pre-applied screen protector on the phone, not a single person in the videos have commented on it or blatantly showed them removing it.
The initial unboxing/review videos seem to all agree that the OnePlus 6 comes with a smoke clear TPU case in the box. So if it does have a pre-applied screen protector, that means you'd essentially have full protection right out of the box, which is pretty awesome!
Just curious to hear from those who may have unboxed one or someone from OnePlus to hear whether or not a screen protector is already applied or not. I know it won't be tempered glass but it's better than nothing. hing.
Yes, it comes with a pre-applied screen protector
www.oneplus.com/6/specs
In the box
1x OnePlus 6
1x Screen Protector (pre-applied)
1x Translucent Case (we recommend assembling the protective case from the bottom)
1x OnePlus Fast Charge Type-C Cable
1x OnePlus Fast Charge Power Adapter
1x SIM Tray Ejector

Awesome!
I also just confirmed the same in this video @ 9:30
https://youtu.be/ES-s9KQrUTY?t=574
^ It's actually really cool to see the entire process.
To add, I'm still using the 5T preinstalled protector. It's already scratched up for me but it's applied so well and pretty decent quality, unsure why everyone doesn't pre-apply it.
The pre-applied screen protector and included case is probably one of the nicest things a manufacturer can do for its customers, especially when its service network is not very developed. Not to mention that the included case looks pretty good from what I have seen, plus the screen protector looks to be very well applied.
I got the standard flexible you case and the screen protector applied. It's done as part of the manufacturing process. Video by Linus tech tips gives really good insight at their factory
So you don't need to buy the 40$ protection bundle since it already comes with case and screen protector ?

Most probably not, but again the screen protector and case can scratch more easily than the premium stuff. My case is already scratched up at the back, so I ordered another one from Amazon.
The cheap case is very thin and might protect your phone from say a 4 foot drop where it might only survive 3 feet 6 inches without it. For me, it's just a bridge until I can get a proper rugged case, probably in a month or two minimum.
My phone arrived this morning with the Nylon Bumper Case. I must say that I'm absolutely loving the Nylon case. And the pre-applied protector is pretty darn good. Nice and smooth, like glass. Overall it is installed very well. The pre-applied protector isn't sticking around the very tips of each corner, but it will do the job until I decide which direction to go with a tempered glass protector in the next couple of weeks.
I'm still considering ordering the OnePlus tempered glass protector but a few people have reported that it is extremely difficult to apply properly and a couple people have mentioned that the oleophobic coating on it is practically nonexistent.
Regardless, it's really nice to see a phone manufacturer providing a pre-installed screen protector out of the box. Saves us from wasting money on poor quality glass screen protectors that just happen to have made it to market before the good stuff. Kudos to OnePlus for that!

Yep. got my OP6 yesterday and it has the pre-applied protector. It will definitely do the job until I figure out which tempered glass protector is best, over the coming weeks. Very pleased to have full protection right out of the box. Especially since I'm leaving for a 9 day vacation tomorrow and didn't want to rush into buying some lower quality protection, simply because it came to market before the good stuff.
Yes, the OnePlus comes with a pre-applied screen protector! The quality is good, but dust fill the edges of this protector so I have removed it...
The OnePlus 6 comes also with a TPU case
Guys what is quality of stock screen protector? Shall I put my original OnePlus tempered glass?

Best OnePlus 6 Screen Protectors

I have ordered OnePlus 6 today.. And waiting that would come tomorrow.. This time it's almost 95 percent glass so protector would be must need to keep the device mint, especially for the BACK!!
So Let me start of the thread for the OnePlus 6 Screen Protector.
I have ordered OnePlus 6 Full body screen protector from the Gadgetshieldz.
And I hope this time it's merely impossible to get the best TGP soon. Please let know your suggestions.
Finally got my Gadgetshieldz protectors and applied it. The protector is fitting well and all the holes are perfect. Important part is, its providing lot of grip to the OP6 which is very slippery without the protector. Might go for a Tempered Glass for the screen if I find a decent one but the back protector is a keeper. Take a look at the images of the protectors applied on my OP6. Can't go wrong with these for a low price.

Thanks. Ordered one as well. Mostly for the back protector since the phone is glass. Hopefully OnePlus releases an official TGP that includes a back protector.
Ordered same too !
Great worldwide free shipping. Wonder how long it takes...
I bought the original bumper carbon case but forgot to buy the combo (case + screen protector).
Now I don't know if I should buy the original oneplus screen protector (tempered glass) or buy something from a 3rd party.
Any ideas?

Hmm, you may be right.
This is the one I bought:
https://www.oneplus.com/uk/oneplus-6-protective-case
And this was the bundle:
https://www.oneplus.com/uk/oneplus-6-total-protection-bundle
What is the difference between the protective case and the bumper?
I think bumper protects the screen better. But if you use a tempered glass you cannot use bumper as the covered lips of the bumper will damage the tempered glass.

Anyone had any experience with those nano liquid protections (ie: https://www.spigen.com/collections/oneplus/products/screen-protector-glas-tr-nano-liquid )?
I ordered the phone with the Nylon bumper case. I almost pulled the trigger on the tempered glass protector as well but I was worried it wouldn't fit with the bumper case and it appears I was right.
The great news is that this phone comes with a pre-applied plastic screen protector. So the screen will be protected right from the beginning. This will buy us time for the release of more tempered glass protectors that may fit with bulkier cases like the nylon bumper case.

With the ultimate bundle, you get the choice of bumper case and tempered glass. It wouldn't make sense to bundle them if they didn't work together, but who knows. The strange this is that the bundle that includes only a case and glass, doesn't offer a bumper case.
I have the bundled case and the sandstone. Both fit with the OnePlus tempered glass. I would guess the bumper does too having looked at it in the shop but not 100% as I didn't put it on.
Since they sell the bumper and the tempered glass together and there are no notes in the tempered glass that it does not work with the bumper case, i am really hoping that you can use the 2 together since that is what i bought. if they don't work together, i will have to send the bumper back.

I did not have experience with this particular brand but ordered from AliExpress for $3.50 each about six months ago for my Samsung Galaxy S8+. It's been six months w/o a screen protector and not a single scratch insight. I don't have the rough use of my phone but don't baby it either. Long and short of it is: This type of product MAY work and just to try it out, I would not spend $24. $4 and wait of 2 weeks should get you the same product at a much cheaper price to try. Here is the link to the product I used:

One question. Are you sure the official TGP includes a back protector?. In Spanish online store don`t say anything about this.
Greetings from Spain.
When you uncheck the body-protector, you pay 9.95$ instead of 11.95$ so pretty sure it does.

This is the official TGP from OnePlus.com online shop. In the description says :

Don't say it has a back protector.
Greetings from Spain.
I am sorry mate, I got you wrong.
I was talking about gadgetshieldz, there a back protector is included.
Oneplus official tgp doesn't include a back protector (and @brangalm says "hopefully" so he isn't sure either), but I ordered it as well.

Use a thick case and a good tempered. Try to look for the tempered in local shops.
A guy here by mistakenly got his screen broken. It DID have a tempered, but the tempered and the screen, both broke.
The most accurate reason for this must be the SHOCK due to FALL.
Thus a strong and heavy duty cover becomes imminent!
I quite like the Nillkin range of products and have been using their gel cases for a while now - awesome quality, kept my phones safe when they have fallen and has extra grip on the side.
So naturally I went to take a look what htye have for the GT Neo 2, although no clear case unfortunately. As you said, the phone looks cool so a clear case would be great to show off the look!
I have found some clear TPU / soft gel cases online but they look like very plain, simple cases without any extra protection or grip.

nillikin ones are, in my eyes badly overpriced. spigen and ringke are far better, but then they dont make for realme sadly...
If importing the Nillkin cases, the price is not too bad as it is cheaper than buying a case locally in South Africa.
I will keep Spigen and Ringke in mind for next time. Will need to wait and see what becomes available for the GT Neo 2.
A big frustration of mine is that a lot of screen protectors no longer fully cover the screens on most phones - is it just me or have others noticed this as well?

Then you can try a liquid screen protector from Gadgetshieldz where they provide good quality protectors because it covers all over the edge of the phone's display. This protector gives good protection against scratches and cracks and also, it has a self-healing feature that heals most of the scratches on the protector. This interested me to buy it!

you can do yes, but back is glass, so best to get a durable case. cuz if it falls, back and front, both being glass can break easily.
buy one which is shockproof to some extent.

I have heard the self healing does work, however not all that well on larger scratches.
Those hydrogel type of screen protectors apparently do not offer as great impact resistance as a tempered glass screen protector.
Overall, I heard that the tempered glass screen protectors are better when it comes to protecting the screen on your phone. The hydrogel ones are cheaper though and can work well at protecting your screen from scratches and will heal the small scratches.

Self-healing does work on my screen guard but it doesn't heal the scratches 100%, it just makes the scratches less visible after a day or two.

Accessories Case / Screen protectors

What case / screen protectors do you plan on using on your new p7p ?
If the modem is still terrible at least you can disguise it in a nice case
Not sure what people complain about. The modem on my P6P works pretty much exactly like every other phone I've ever had.
Anybody know if a P6P case will fit on a P7P? They seem pretty close to identical.
I've always liked Spigen cases, but I wish they would make them in hazel. The hazel one on the google store is not in stock, uggh. I usually go with Skinomi Matte screen protectors. Might try the spigen protector this time.
According to the Google Store, the only screen protector - as of now - that is "officially" rated to work properly with the FP scanner is the Case Mate variant, it's a flexible/non glass one.
I sifted through most ebay/Amazon P7 Pro screen protector offers that are available, and oddly enough most tempered glass screen protectors have a warning message that states that the FP scanner won't work due to a technical limiation.
Hopefully that doesn't mean that no glass screen protector will work.

Concerning cases, I planned on getting a Paralax from Caseology, but it seems that they changed their design. The P6 Pro had a wonderful two-toned design (gold colored accent on the camera hub and centered in the middle, with the black variant), that is now a boring/terrible grey-ish accent. So I'm not sure yet what kind of Case I'm going for.
The Caseology Athlex (a new case) looks promising, since it has a dent in the middle to rest your finger, but the neon colors on it are ridicolous.
What do you think about the Dbrand case?
Spigen is now a Made for Google partner with its Pixel 7 cases
Seems like there's no regular brown option for the bellroy leather case which is unfortunate.
I ordered a Caseology Parallax case and pre-ordered a Whitestone Dome tempered glass screen protector.
Spigen most thin option(I think tough armor it's called), and Whitestone Dome like always(there taking preorders and shopping soon). Whitestone dome was $19.99 for two.
I hope this can help someone.

IIRC, the Thin Fit is Spigen's thinnest model, and the Tough Armor is actually bulkier than the Thin Fit, Liquid Air, and Rugged Armor models.
I went with the Spigen Liquid Air. It's what I've got on my current phone. It hits the right balance for me between protection and bulk. FYI, though; some people don't like it because it's possible for stuff to get in the grooves in the triangle texture on the back. It doesn't bother me - I just brush it off, and it's fine - but I thought I'd mention it just in case that's something that's an issue for anyone.
Also, been using Spigen Thin Fit on my prior devices which works for me!

Thanks, and yes, for me it needs to fit in my work shirt; I have thin fit on m yOnePlus 8 & 9 pro. I'm thinking a good chance, I'm gonna have to get another case, but I didn't see thin fit so I figured I'd try the tough option. Thanks for the heads up. I see on Spigen website, they have it along with a charger for free w/purchase.

I hear ya. I'm not sure what's up with Spigen P7 Pro cases on Amazon right now. I had to go to Amazon's "Spigen Store" page to find the Liquid Air because it didn't show up in the search results for whatever reason.
FWIW, according to the Spigen website a P7 Pro version of the Thin Fit does exist, they just don't seem to be currently selling it on Amazon for whatever reason.
I have Caseology on my P6P. Looking at the Athlex for my P7P. I also bought Skinomi screen protector.
The Spigen Liquid Air looks pretty nice too. I have a week to decide while I wait for my phone to arrive.
Spiegen Liquid Air for her phone and Supcase Unicorn Beetle for me. Both with Supershieldz screen protectors. It's how our current phones are now. I'm just sticking with what has been working for me.
.
I'm doing the Caseology Parallax too. Have one on my P6 and I like it.

I went with the Athlex, I have a vault on my p6pro. It should be here today.
I got the Spigen Rugged Armor as usual. I kinda wanted to try the Athlex (I kinda like the black/neon green one) but it seems really bulky!
I have ordered the luxurious bellroy leather case again, (same as for pixel 6 pro), and also the caseology one.
UK costs,
£49 and 16.99.
Both great cases.
