[TOOL] Nokia 6 Utility (Playstore, Language and more)

With the July update, Nokia 6 fully supports Google Apps. But how to proceed? What do I need to install? Do not mind, with this simple and useful tool you will install the play store and you will be able to change system language in a few easy steps. I want to thank Mastmen Shop to give me the device to create this tool. Tht tool is basically in english and it is also translated in Italian.

NOTE
I added a button "Delete File " in the case when downloading some files you have problems, you can delete the corrupted files directly from the tool instead of going to look for it manually.
If you have any problems during installation then first try to update the Microsoft Net freamwork to latest version:

HOW TO INSTALL
Download .zip file;
Right click on zip and go in file properties;
Set "Unblock", then click on "Apply" and "OK" (If you don't see it continue the installation guide). Guide picture:
Extract all its contents into a folder;
Click on setup.exe;
Click on "Install";
Waiting for the end of the process;
Enjoy your tool
UPDATE
There will be no need to re-download the new tool, but just look for new updates directly from the tool.
In all cases I'll update the link in this thread and report it when there are new updates with its changelog.

For now, the bootloader can't be unlocked, so there are no root possibility

Devs from the axon 7 root it whit out unlocking the bootloader so !

Dev use OEM unlock command to unlock bootloader. This doesn't work on Nokia6.

Is Burmese supported by Morelocale Pro? Also, so you know if this will work on the US phones sold by Amazon?

Are you able to make a firmware backup or does that take more access than what you were able to do here?

I made a system backup but it is not complete because we have not root access.

Ah, ok. I wasn't sure if you needed root access just for a full firmware backup or not.

Yes root access is needed to make a full firmware backup

Keeping an eye on this thread in hopes of someone being able to unlock the bootloader and ROOT Just got my Amazon Nokia 6 and I too am impressed by the build quality. Not as fast as my current NEXUS 6 - but fast enough for what I need. Might keep or return the phone for a Sony Xperia XA1 Ultra (white).

Are you able to get the Amazon one in the 64GB of space and 4GB of RAM? I couldn't find it. That's the only reason I didn't go that route.
Apparently you can root it with Infinity Box Chinese Miracle 2.

No the Amazon / Unlocked models sold through Amazon are only the 32GB / 3GB RAM North American models. I'm not familiar with the Infinity Box (had to Google it) and the capabilities. Is that the only way it can be rooted right now?

That's all I can find. And you cannot use the software without purchasing a dongle and the dongle needs to include the Chinese Miracle 2 addon. That's so crazy. I thought software dongles were done in the 90s.

Can we unlock bootloader with the oem unlock in developper settings ?

[Magisk] Root P20 Pro

So since apparently no one rooted their p20 yet and I heard it wasn't possible since no boot dumped yet.

Magisk patched boot. (oh yeah you read right!)
All you need to do is obtain your bootloader unlock code.
If you somehow fail getting the bootloader code or getting wrong code. I can write up a thread for how we did it.
Unlock the bootloader and flash ramdisk with
Fastboot flash ramdisk CLT-L29-MAGISK.img
They reboot. Simple right?
This has been tested on a demo unit (C652) and works well!
We even dumped oeminfo!
Enjoy.

Someone tried with an official version of the P20?
Since there is no procedure in case of brick phone, it would be better to be sure that it works each time before starting ..

Hi mate, may i know from which rom version is your ramdisk.img ?
Mine is from 8.1.0.106 (C185) , but am keeping yours as well, just in case, LoL

It's a copy-paste guide, don't use it.
And it's originally not even for Oreo, as they use 'recovery' partition rather than 'recovery_ramdisk'.

I suspected a little.
However, just before I had the P20, I had an Oneplus 5T under oreo and it was still a partition recovery as usual. I rooted the Oneplus 5T by flashing the recovery quite normally: "Fastboot flash recovery twrp.img" then under twrp, flashing magisk.zip. No use of a recovery_ramdisk

In the meantime, it is not very clever for these sites to offer fake tutorials because people in a hurry could try the adventure and end up with bricked phone, for a long time.
In any case, I hope that a formal and tested procedure will see the day soon, that we can have a little fun!

Has anybody managed to get a Viper4Android Magisk module working on the P20 Pro yet?

Can someone explain me better the flash method ?
I have a P20 pro (CLT-L29) build 8.1.0.107(C432). european version.
Now to root I download the package.
I've already unlock the bootloader.
How to do other Step to flash ?
I see the photo. They are in magisk manager ?
or I must flash in a powershell on my PC ?

Nope the photo shows Magisk working already.
You'll need to fastboot flash ramdisk imagename.img
Also ill patch P20 ramdisk (yeah forgot I had it on mega)

It's not working on my Huawei P20 CLT-L29 C432 running EMUI 8.1.0
Unlocking the Bootloader works as described using the obtained unique unlocking code but after patching the .img file there doesn't seem to be root/SU available on my device. I would stay away from this as of now!

Yes I meant I tried the root checker Apps from Playstore, Titanium Backup root etc. to verify the Magisk .img was flashed properly and works but just doesn't

Huawei Mate 30,problems with notification

My name is Josip and I am from Croatia,central Europe
A month ago I bought Huawei Mate 30 and I like that phone very much,but I have some issues.
The phone was not for european market,it was for Chinese market,so now I have problems with notification
which not come to me on right time.I asking for help.Can I maybe download and flash my phone with european firmware.
Is it possible to do that.Any advice will be very helpful

You can solve it easily by set enable 3 items in App Launch + not allow in Special access and lock app in Task Manager
Ps: you can not flash european fw without unlock bootloader

1. App Launch:
Setting - Apps - App Launch: disable auto manage, enable 3 sub items to let it run background and can push notis
2. Special Access
Setting - Apps - Permissions, 3 dot menu and choose Special access - Battery optimization: set app you want it run background always to Not Allowed
3. Open Task Manager and swipe down the app you want it keep in memory when you clear all running/backgound apps
Note: after done those setting, you should keep calm, keep using your phone about 1-2 days and system AI will learn how you use apps and all will be solved

I used and using many Huawei Chinese Edition phones in Vietnam and have no problem with notifications . I manage to remove all Chinese stuff by computer . Now I'm using Mate 30 Chinese variant AL00 same variant as Mate 20 X 8/256 before

Oppo theme store

I'm in Ireland and I can see where to change themes but there isn't any there to choose from except the default one, there is no default theme store app on my phone, should there be one?

There should be a default theme app, simply called theme store.
Do you have the global rom?
Honestly I would recommend just getting a launcher as it achieves a similar purpose as the themes in the store and has additional benefits.

I don't even get the application of themes, I have to enter from the settings menu and once there it does not give the option to load any, only the source is seen

Execrly the same as me, and when you go into the application manager the theme store is there but you can't open it or anything but it is still there, only we can't access it, is it possible to flash a firmware that has it? And what is the latest firmware?, I only got this phone yesterday and there hasn't been any updates at all, usually outa the box there's always an update waiting

I imagine you will have A.18 .... if you put on a vpn application and you say that you are in the Netherlands, you update it and it will skip A.24

Try a few different countries, Germany, India, Switzerland, UK.
Also some of the updated versions are available directly from the ColorOS website of each country.

you have to put the Android 11 beta and then retrieve it to Q with this .... and it is A.25. To recover you just have to put it in the memory and search for it with the file explorer, you touch it and it tells you if you want to install it .

Wouldn't recommend 11 beta unless you have read up on all the issues with it, and accept that it'll probably screw up your phone even more!! "Beta" says it all.

No one has recommended installing the beta. I have told you that to have the A.25 rom you have to go through the beta and then enter the new recovery file, which is the one with the latest version and with the June patch.

Think I read somewhere that you can only get Theme Store/Themes on the Chinese ROM. I know I had it turn up once on my phone when I was downloading ROMs via VPN, but it never worked (I was trying to change Fonts at the time - phone just hanged, and that option has now gone now using Global ROM)

This is speaking with oppo Spain and they told me that in Europe the application of themes does not work, I tried to put another region like in Xiaomi but it does not filter[emoji24]

Sorry I can't post pics directly because I just registered a few days ago... I don't know if the link is even accessible.
I think the store is region specific as the prices and language are tailored to the region (even the ads).

I think the store is region specific as the prices and language are tailored to the region (even the ads).

Is there a way to side load the store to my phone, in application manager the theme store is there but no app for it at all and under display settings when I click change theme there's only the default theme with no other options, also, is there an FM radio app in the other regions?

I don't think there is a way to side load the store, unless you manually load the official rom of another country that has the theme store (mostly asian countries) and then use a VPN to setup the phone. This is of course a tedious process just to get the default theme store....
In my opinion, just try out some launchers until oppo releases the European theme store to make your life easier.
Oppo has a default FM radio app, but you have to get it from the app market.

Slightly off topic (my apologies), does Oppo provide change logs?, I can't find the differences between A.22 to A.24 or to A.25 etc.

Basically, he said
1. He got rid of his iPad cos he needed a pen 2. Zui is crap. Not a day goes by without rebooting the tablet
3. Unlock bootloader, flash twrp, flash miui
4. Sharing files between xiaomi phones and tablet is easier. So is screen sharing with win10
5. System is more stable
6. Less cursor movement when using the pen
7. I think the rom is debloated cos he mentioned there’s less preloaded miui apps
8. Some may feel zui’s PC mode is better, but he doesn’t think so. YMMV
9. He didn’t install camera (didn’t mention why). But scanning of QR codes work (apparently)
10. No changing of colour temperature and blue light filter
