Error 7 script

Working great! Very responsive, and it's stable. Thank you very much for the build. Just some hicupps:
1 My sdcard isn't being detected. tried mounting it manually, format it from settings, format it into ext4 and back to fat32 but no luck so far. I haven't figured out if I could mount it manually using the terminal.
2. MTP mode is detected but no storage is shown. KDE Dolphin file browser just keeps on loading. I will investigate further on my Windows installation.
3. Weird issue on bluetooth headset. It doesn't notify on incoming call, but works fine during the conversation. But when I hang up via the 'End Call' option, the headset starts ringing. It even doesn't shut down after pressing and holding the power button, it kind of 'stucks' for about a minute and then stops. The phone shows 'device connected' the entire time, and the connection isn't broken at any point.
Maybe its just my headset, but I don't have another one to test at this moment so I will wait if somebody else confirms this, then I will look forward to produce a useful log.
4. The maximum connectivity I can get is LTE (or 4g) butsailfish only shows 'prefer 3G' and '2G'. Not a problem, but just wanted to notify that the speed rather feels like LTE. And, I don't get a full coverage on LTE inside my home (3g is always full bars), and the signal bar indeed shows 50% signal, sometimes around 80% but the text reads '3G' and sometimes '2G'. Maybe it's just not displaying correctly?
5. OTG apparantly doesn't work, maybe it isn't implemented yet, I don't know.
The experience is great. And yeah, the battery backup is very good Right now I'm trying to find alternative apps to work with. Some equivalent file manager, tapatalk like app, ftp client and a file sharing tool etc... Long Journey.... Happy flasing to all

Lemme say "not yet"

Now everything is working correctly. Just the headset volume is very low. Any ideas if I could edit any config file to increase it?
BTW, the.bluetooth headset doesn't ring continously anymore, but still stops responding after ending the call. Not a great issue though, thanks for the quick updates!!

The U0 "u-boot-nand.bin" in the archive "4325" is U-Boot 2009.08-svn733 (Jun 29 2011 - 14:11:58).
Downloads thanks to kiodo1981
as we know Mega is dead..
and at the moment it looks like fileserver is going the same way..

I suggest you load barsuk_CWMRecovery first, its down in the 2nd post..and do the usual wipes that you should do before flashing a rom..
Just a quick note, hopefully will save others some time too..
I think if you just went ahead and flashed the zip from the sdcard..
and now got 'android' loading with blinking cursor and no further..
For the hell of it, I did the same and got the same result..
The download is not a flash-able zip straight from the sdcard..
read further down for instructions
Then I went ahead and used the USB method..
[GUIDE] :: SuperPad/FlyTouch2/WWE10 Android 2.2 Froyo USB Flashing ::
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1074251
No drama.. flashed and working fine.. just no camera at the moment.. I might play with some of the uboot's to see if it makes a difference.. but for now if you want your pad back.. I suggest go the USB route..
if you need a cable.. I use the same cable that comes with the usb cooling fans,
that power the cooling boards that people use under laptops.. Make sure you load the drivers or your computer will not recognize the pad.
Follow SmaRkieS thread and you should be fine..
If you cant burn the main android image using USB method.
You can try the MicroSD card method, but this is only applicable if your tablet will display the right uboot versions under the InfoTMIC start up logo.
@dyfren What does file zSYS.img?
I would say this is recovery.. I flashed it into this section..
hope this helps..
Will play over the weekend with it..
but at this stage running real smooth..

Many thanks for your kindness.
Your post is really helpfull.
Allready in 3925 and works fine, but ... wanna try that new 4325.
I'll give feedback when tried.

i had a go following the guide and it was fine until i got to flashing the actual Android image, (number 19 in the Guide). PC does its bit, then tablet comes up with "flashing/updating linux" (first bit tablet does) or something like that but the progress bar always stays empty, left it for 10-15 mins and still hadnt moved. tried the version in the guide and the version here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1067746
also tried SD card method, comes up with "Updating image hRamdisk" and a dead progress bar.
Which version of Android did you use at step 19?
Thanks for your help so far, seems to be getting there

as IUW can be a bit painful..
anybody test this FW ? i wanna try that new 4325 .
rooting
Working root using universal androot 1.6.2beta5
@hunterx: 4325 is working very fast. IT won't shutdown when in standby but drains battery faster.
Someone can explain how to modify the firmware to support the 3G _Barsuk_ as he had done?
Thanks for the new ROM, just installed USB method, works fine.
Generaly looks very "snappy" for a Pad with only 256mb of RAM.
Camera "force closes"; Youtube works fine, and Wifi also.
I'll keep posting as long as i play with it.
Sheers
anyone got USB1 or USB2 readable?
when I plug them in I am getting "preparing memory device" then "memory device ready for remove"
To me, this is saying that it see's it.. but for some reason is calling to unmount it straight away..
I would say it is fixable as we had a similar problem on other Roms.. its just setting up the right command..
I have loaded a mix of drivers in to the system/lib/modules...but no success..
Then tried to use terminal but not getting access in to the root..
I kinda need to learn a few more commands in terminal..
(Back to DOS days..)
is there a cheat sheet around for the basic commands?
was playing with the aps2sd.. got the sdcard formatted with a sd2ext
But its a no go at the moment.. as even with TB backup
This Rom is not mounting into it..
As said before, I can't even get script manager to load up so can't load V6 scripts..
Maybe someone will have better luck then me..

question about the flash
Last time I flashed is a while ago so dont know if im doing things right.
So ive got a few questions before I will flash
On startup my pad shows 0.6.1.2. (587) at the right bottom
So can I skip the uboot part of the SMarkies guide?
The folder of 4325 contains more files than mentioned in the guide if i'm correct I only have to use : Kernal, user, system and ramdisk? Please confirm?
Do i have to use ramdisk in 4325 folder or the one mentioned in the Smarkies guide?
Your advice please have to use my pad on christmastrip for my kids so I cant risk to brick it
It's not a problem with this Rom, I also faced the same with previous versions and stock Rom, any of you guys face accelerometer axels inverted when playing games like Raging Thunder or Labyrinth? When bending down turns right and bending up turns left.
Strange, it happens with all games and still can’t find a solution.
Any suggestions are welcome.

Try this patched lib.
View attachment libreference_ril.Universal.zip
Is new solution for 3g. It is much easier. Who want may create update.zip for CWM.
Just replace original lib and set permissions to 644 (owner root).
EDIT
Some patched binaries and libs: View attachment patched_binaries.zip
Include wpa_supplicant with ad-hoc (not tested), vold with ntfs support (need to load kernel module first), ril libs with disabled check for modem model (for gsm only, not for cdma).

Flash all the files as per no:18 of the guide.. but use the ramdisk that comes with this package - dont use sMarkies at this stage - I flashed it to see if any difference but it only was for reading of the USBports.. the one with this package is stable enough

as usually people only brick on the U-boot flashing.
just take your time.
make sure you got the right files setup in IUW before you boot the pad..

Yeah, it really is. I must say that this is the best ROM so far. I do have one major issue where I cannot select an APN and therefore have no 3G / 2G connection. Needless to say, this is a huge issue which may render the ROM to be unusable for me... Let me know what you guys experience if there's still some people willing to install new ROMs on their device
Do you mean there is no way to set the APN? I'm seriously considering flashing this ROM, but this APN issue that you mentioned is holding me back...

When you make sure you create a backup you can check and always restore the backup. The APN issue might also be related to my carrier or SIM card.
Please note that I definitely had to format /data (ie. factory defaults) because it will not work with the data of another rom. Also make sure to make an extra backup of your backup onto your system, just to be sure - in my case it has created corrupt files many times (ie. 0 kb)...
Good luck!

Hi all,
I checked today and the external SD is available, but not under /mnt/external_sd but under /mnt/sdcard/external_sd. Not sure why it is in a subfolder, but see below some screenprints to demonstrate this. If anyone knows how to solve something like this, let me know
Regards,
Nika.
Well, that was easy, changed the vold.fstab and build.prop files and zipped it. Works fine when installed using cwm recovery. /mnt/external_sd is now the correct external sdcard
You can download the new version here:

While searching for a solution to fix my APN problem, I also changed the default language into English. APN is still an issue, so if someone knows what can cause APNs not to list in MIUI ROMs I'd love to know
Here's the download for the English version of this ROM (including the external storage fix ):

Be interesting to see if this will flash to my device, seeing as none of the other custom ROMs have ever done so...
EDIT: Well, it installed OK and runs, but like you, I have no APN's and setting them up manually doesn't seem to work. Also, a fair number of FC's, especially when trying to search networks...
EDIT2: This appears relevant to the APN problem: http://www.modaco.com/topic/351027-cannot-add-apn-with-both-cyanogen-and-miui/

I've not had any FC's - did you Factory Reset / wipe cache etc?
For APN, I'll see whether I have time to test this week. My device is getting buggier by the day, sdcard is not working anymore and has random reboots, so I may need to take it apart again. sdcard is quite a problem as that is impossible to reach without spare-parts did you see the "take device apart" device on the russian forum? quite cool

I needed internet, so for now, I've flashed back to my previous ROM. TBH, I'm not a fan of MIUI, but at least the bloody thing installed!
Oh, what I wouldn't give for ICS or better, JB, on our Smarts....
Yeah ICS would totally rock on the Smart ! too bad Vache broke his, he only needed to fix 3G on CM9. Well "only" may not be the word. Thepasto is using Vache's source to get CM9 on the Liquid MT and they weren't able to get 3G working so far.

Damn..
I really wish more devs would pick up Acer devices... I'd do it myself, but with a full time programming job and a family, I just don't have the time to learn the intricacies of ROM building.

Agree, but I must say, that MIUI build is half not as bad as I expected! It really is good, definitely better than stock (other than the APNs not working for some SIMs - note the Russians do not seem to have any issue with it)...

I don't suppose there's any ROM builders out there who can take a look at this and see if they can do anything about the APN issue, is there?
Hi all,
Anyone interested in TeamWin Recovery Project (TWRP)? I've build an initial test version:
http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1882747
To figure out how to mount the internal sdcard, can someone run the following commands on their device?
Code:
adb shell
su
cat /proc/mounts
cat /proc/emmc
ls -lR /dev/block | busybox egrep -i "rec|sos"

Hi KR,
It can be done from both terminal on the phone or PC. Did you root your device? You should be doing to following when doing it on the PC (easiest):
1. Root your device, see http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?p=17569226
2. With rooting you also install drivers for adb, so that's ok
3. Connect your device with USB
4. Open a Command Prompt
5. Run "adb shell" (adb.exe is also available in the files for the recovery)
5. Type the following commands:
Code:
adb shell
su
cat /proc/mounts
cat /proc/emmc
ls -lR /dev/block | busybox egrep -i "rec|sos"
After each command you can copy/paste the results. Wrap the results between CODE tags when pasting it here or use stuff like http://pastebin.com/ and return the results
Thanks!
Regards,
Nika.

Install rom, wipe and install rom again.
Reboot and see if it works for you. (can flash gapps later and super su if u need)
Can't access download link
Its weird! AFH says I dont have access to file, Dev-Host just direct me to their homepage, and mirror link is in chinese so I dont have any idea what buttons to hit. Is it just me? Anyone here who can guide me how to download the file?

Downloading now! Using google chrome I was able to translate mirror link page to English.
Edit 2:
Successfully flash the Rom via TWRP 2.8.6.0
As mentioned in the OP
- quicksettings pulldown can only be pulled once.
- adjusting brightness slider do nothing
- torch is working
- system apps seems to load faster than cm12.
One thing that caught up my attention is that simcard is not recognized. Have to goto settings/about tablet and found out that baseband version is unknown. Shame cause I really think this rom is more fluid compare to cm12.
I was unable to test user's app due to simcard unavailability, hence 3G as well, as I heavily dependent on it.
Also noticed that 1st & 2nd boot is ok but on 3rd boot is only showing blank screen ( omni bootlogo not showing ) have to longpress power button a couple of times until omni bootscreen appears.. P6200 user here.
Thanks again to this ROM, pretty much stable , no soft reboots. Battery is good, Minor issues i could see.
Video playback is still an issue i believe, even in YouTube.
Thanks again
If this rom could see the daylight I will really love it. It's much better than cm12 . Aside the baseband issue in p6200 really would have preferred this .
Sent from my GT-P6200 using xda Forums PRO
Have just installed latest version 20150518. Installation process without any problem. System is running stable.:good:
But SIM-card is not found. Tried several times.
It's no problem with CM12.1 rom. So I'm back to CM12.1.

I don't have problem showing the baseband with or without a sim card. Don't know why some p6200 can't. It's the same modem chip and I'm using the same lib for both too.
Clean flash, Wait for a few minutes, etc.
Can anyone confirm that?
If really can't, in a terminal emulator type:
su (already rooted of course)
rild
see if any error message
here is the result:
WARNING: linker: libsec-ril.so has text relocations. This is wasting memory and prevents security hardening. Please fix.
rm: /data/misc/radio/dlink: permission denied
it is also showing invalid IMEI and unknown baseband version.

The first one is just a warning because of the only old blob we have.
The second line means the daemon is not start. I'll look into it but I need someone with a p6200 to test for me.

I think I found the reason. There is a file missing. View attachment libsecril-client.zip
unzip the above zip will get the file libsecril-client.so. Copy the file to /system/lib with a root browser (eg. ES FileExplorer) will do.
Hoping it work for t869 too. t869 owners are welcome to test too.
Good luck!
PS. Will include it in the next build

Was about to try that and alert you. Compared the lib folder for cm12.1 to that of omni and Realized the same missing libsecril-client.so and a couple of others. Looks like you got to it first. Anyway thinking of creating a flashable package for it. [emoji4] [emoji4] [emoji4]
OTG -Wifi???
@daniel_hk This may be stupid but i have to ask u.Does this kernel support USB Wifi with OTG?
Tried the lib files provided and a couple of others from cm12.1...................same old. Installed CM12.1 again and tried the rild check and got the same error as mentioned by PugeAko , though baseband is working with that rom.
Will be pulling the lib from stock MF1 rom for our dear p6200 soon, to see what comes of it.
Will post my findings soon.
Edit:
Checked radio directory in cm12.1 vrs OMni and some files are missing in Omni. Pulled that from cm12.1 but this constant black screen booting of Omni is making me frustrated at the moment. Too much black screen. Trying to see if I can get a boot.
Edit2:
Giving up. Don't know what it is but cannot endure this constant black screen any longer and time is not a luxury that I can afford now, its preventing me from helping figure out how to fix this baseband issue. Going back to the buggy cm12.1 rom. This rom is promising though.

Each USB Wifi probably have different chips which requires drives supplied by the manufacture. For it to work, it requires HAL drivers/firmwares too. Normally there is a CD or place to download. Window might have some driver for a few chips. Linux (Android) would be another story.
Normally, a kernel would only have the drivers for the on board chips.

cm12.1 is probably the wrong place to try. Omin for p6800 would be the wiser choice.
Anyway, I will try to get it work on the next build.

First, thanks to the devs of the Android x86 project. Second, a thanks to the guys who have created the various patches that enable support for the Surface Pro 3 hardware in the Linux kernel.
This is an x86_64 build of Android (both userspace and kernel). The 32 bit only, as well as the 64 kernel/32 hybrid builds didn't work properly - 32 only wouldn't boot for me (YMMV?), and 32/64 would boot with audio but had issues too.
I and the other guys at the Android x86 project could very much use all the help and assistance you can provide in getting this device working. I'm not super up on the various tweaks possible and required within Android,
What Works:
WiFi
Battery and power status
Both Cameras
Power Button (only if you hold it down to shutdown; screen sleep does not work)
Type cover and mouse
Touch
Volume buttons
Video (DPI is not set to native, currently)
Not Working/Known Issues:
Random crashes
No OpenGL
Screen sleep/hibernate (works in Linux, I think)
Disconnecting the keyboard crashes the GUI, but it restarts
Rotation does not work, though I believe the rotation sensor should work
This is not ready to install, and the installer doesn't work. DO NOT USE THE INSTALLER
Sound does not work in this build; it may be a kernel config issue or a 64 bit issue as it worked on past kernels/builds (32 bit)
To install, download win32diskimager and use it to write the img file to a USB drive. You should then be able to live boot android from the stick, provided you have secure boot disabled.

Yay! Thanks for trying it!
I haven't had a chance to mess with it lately but will attempt to sometime this week. As far as help, I don't have anything public right now but only have changed things in the manifest and kernel repos. I could put those up on github or bitbucket if you'd like to mess with them as well. Yes, I compiled and configured myself, and added kernel patches for the SP3. I need to see what patches are required for kernel 4.1, because I believe it has some native support now.

I honestly know nothing about Linux, despite a decent programming background in C...
But soooo many people would be interested in this for their SP3. So keep it up!! And thanks heaps.
If there's anything I can do though to help, PM me. I read elsewhere that people try different versions and distributions of Linux to find functional drivers for devices, and then try to import them into the Android x86 package. I don't know if that's the case or not but if you want me to try find working stuff from different distros, I'll totally do it.

To help, I'll always need testers (getting ready to try and upload a new build later today). As for distros, it's more just grabbing the appropriate kernel patches for hardware support. While some changes may need made to Android in places script wise for some hardware, everything else will "just work" once all the drivers are stable.
New build! See top post or: https://mega.nz/#!RUV3gAiJ!nKnKTPS94UtMNAGcrvbeAjoh8FntJ-WqHZF2mw2J36s

Awesome!
The only thing is I'm not able to gain superuser access after installing(and so as live) so I can't install playstore.
The installer works for me; i installed it to my sd card. It would be great if the grub bootloader installer provides is a touch version.
If you install this build on your sd all the data is keept after the shutdown ?

You'd need to set the DATA= line in the bootloader, the Android-x86 site should have instructions.
Not mine, but rbg's build of Kitkat (now with the patches used here) for 32-bit, the most recent one, is rock solid! Sensors don't work yet and neither do the volume rockers, but everything else seems good!

I haven't built one of Kitkat yet, I'll have to try it with the patched kernel.
I just tried the latest build from rbg and it's great. Locking works, volume rockers and audio all work too.
But how do you install it? I've spent a few hours trying. I can't install from USB because the typecover won't work in the setup so I have to plug in a keyboard and use the MicroSD. So I shrinked the Windows partition and created a 32GB NTFS volume for Android and I've installed to it several times but can't get any sort of bootloader running.
I won't complain at all though. This is amazing and the installer probably has issues but I'll impatiently ask, does anyone know how to get it installed and bootable from SD or a seperate partition? (Not Live of course).
Thanks guys. And rbg.
I've not yet installed it but I think you'd have to setup a bootloader like refind or another, and if you need secure boot, you'd also need to setup a shim to be able to keep it turned on.
There are guides around that should work, I forget where, that you could adapt.

I got it.
I just used an old Lenovo laptop to install from the bootable USB to the Micro SD, didn't install GRUB but did select to install GRUB2 EFI. Now the SD boots on the surface. This is totally amazeballs.
Hmm, alright. Bit of an issue. Driving me crazy.
The first install I performed worked fine. I installed from USB to SD card, it was bootable, rebootable, and retained user data.
I broke it trying to install the Google Frameworks. No problem, just re-image the SD and try again.
Since then, for the life of me, I can't get Android to boot on anything other than FAT32 or NTFS. Ext2 and Ext3 fail, all I get is the Android boot screen logo graphic with the moving bright bar that moves vertically though the logo. That one.
And I'm scratching my head. Like heaps. I tried different SD cards, re-imaging the USB I use to install onto the SD with, formatting the SD as Ext3 using different software, cleaning with diskpart and using other utilities to fully zero the SD and trying all over again. I can't work out why it worked the first time. I deff use Ext3 the first time around and had the entire SD card worth of accessible memory. NTFS would be fine but I don't understand why the installer doesn't allow > 2GB disk images?
Anyway, I don't mean to steal the topic. Just thought I'd post my issues in case I'm making any obvious mistakes, or perhaps solve the issue before it drives somebody else cray cray.
Thanks!! So close.
Edit: Couple hours later... No luck.
FAT32 Works with disk image 2GB limit.
Formatting the SD as NTFS and running the installation or formatting the SD as NTFS during the installation always seems to result in a FAT32 disk. (I was hoping to get it running as NTFS and expanding the 2GB disk image manually).
Formatting as Ext2 or Ext3 results in a laggy infinite Android graphic boot screen. Instead of a smooth animation, it's probably about 1fps.
This is taunting me. :'(

I agree. Oem software is so loaded with bloatware and bull****. And then of course ALL the carriers pile on their **** and suddenly you have a smartphone that's not really a phone anymore. It's now just a tracking/marketing device that happens to let you make phone calls, send emails. and surf the web so you can provide cookies to be uploaded when you're not looking.
I do give credit to Apple for pulling in the reins on Facebook. Hopefully, Google will be forced to do the same. They're the biggest tracker/marketer of information out there.
Btw, I've been running an a12 gsi rom for several weeks now. First, I tried the Andy Yan LOS19 vndklite secured rom but unfortunately it didn't gapps capability which is sort of a no go for a lot of people. I then switched to Phhusson' vndlite secure with gapps rom and it's been great. So far everything seems to work great except Qdaq.
Damn. Now I may have to build my phone for the second time in a week. One question:
1) How/where do I get the LG apks to properly make use of the phone's hardware? I'm thinking camera, FM Radio and DAC specifically. Plus any others I may be missing. Or is that step not necessary?

Does Android Pay work on this?
Will this process also work for the v40 as well? And if so, can I expect the IMS stack to work on the v40 such that VoLTE and WiFi Calling on Tmo can be enabled?
For that matter do/will VoLTE and WiFi Calling work on TMo using GSI ROMs on a v60?

failed, kernel crash, dont't know the reason
update: show no command
I'm assuming that if I install a GSI on the V60, I lose dual-screen usage correct?

Depends of the GSI you have chosen, some of them comes with Safetynet already approved

Any reason you would think it wouldn't? Mostly just have my V60 for the dual screen.

Hey mate, you could tell me how you did the prep work to install the GSI room on the ATT variant? Ive been trying to unlock it and installing TWRP but i havent found a reliable way of doing it.
Do you know what rooms work well with the v60? (like having QDAC functionality for instance)

wait Quad-Dac
Just wanted to say a big thanks to Kratos for putting this post together. I had some early issues but it turns out that's because I was using 'Minimal ADB and Fastboot'
For whoever comes next here's how I fixed a couple of problems as I went.
ERROR: Failed: remote partition not found - You need to be in fastbootD via ADB REBOOT FASTBOOT, not the fastboot/bootloader via turning off device, holding vol down and plugging in a usb cable.
ERROR: Remote: Operation not permitted. - Minimal ADB and Fastboot is not new enough - download latest SDK platform tools and open an administrator CMD prompt from that directory instead.
Other errors or failure of individual parse files can be fixed by using a better quality cable - you're sending a lot of data via fastbootd. Give yourself the best shot at success.
I installed OctaviOS yesterday and was absolutely blown away - it's extremely fast, the battery life is incredible and the level of deep customisation rivals any rom I've ever used.
Unfortunately, haptic feedback / vibration does not work AT ALL, and nor does the 3.5mm Jack. Also GCAM, nor any other camera app I tried was able to access the wide angle lens so I'll be trying to figure out how to get back to EA firmware today for now.
If someone with the skills could manage a non-gsi port of OctaviOS with cam, haptic and 3.5mm working properly I'd be on it in a heartbeat. THAT is what Android should be. Bloat free but highly customisable.
