[App]VolumeWarning,Private DNS Whitelist, Headup Notifications and BlackNavigationbar - Samsung Galaxy S9+ Themes, Apps, and Mods

I have built a mini app to stop most annoying things in my "not yet" rooted Galaxy S9+
!!YOU DONT NEED ROOT BUT YOU HAVE TO GRANT PERMISSION VIA ADB SHELL !!
you need a working adb shell. the app creates a windows batchfile to grant the needed permissions. (thisPC->Phone->_samtweaks->GrantPermissions.bat)
once permission granted the app can enable reverse protrait oriantation ( i.e. needed if you like to charge you phone in cars cup holder with usb port on top)
disable the Max Volume Warning (if checked it come up once and then never again)
and set Navbar Color to Black...
maybe more in future
ok. i put it on playstore much easier to update ;o)
updated:
https://forum.xda-developers.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=4982731&d=1585652129
made a version for android 10. and added launch and download buttons for samsungs goodlook apps.
i.e. in QuickStar you can set Clocl position
update SamTweakPie20191021.zip;
-added statusbar clockposition (left/middle/right)
-added "hideAlarmclock" option
update samTweakPie.beta:
new Version for Android Pie. remove all options that doesent work anymore with Pie. fix for High Volume Warning. Added a Whitelist for PrivateDNS (because i had problems with amazon app while PrivateDNS is active)
be aware! SamtweakPie need UsageStatistic Permission,AccessibilityInfo Permission, and (as before) WriteSystemsettings Permission (adb.batchfile) for this all ;o)
update v1.09:
added enable/disable Headup Notification
update v1.07:
with new app-id back in playstore.... but you have to uninstall the old version.
update v1.06:
fixed the bug where samtweaks re-enable autorotation
update v1.05:
fixed the max brightness warning
** MAYBE YOU HAVE TO UNINSTALL AND REINSTALL SAMTWEAK **
samsung moved the property fom Settings.Global to Settings System.... BUT with API level 23 samtweak is not allowd to write Systemsettings. So i had to lower the Apilevel from 23 to 22 , sorry... ;o)
update v1.04:
-fix for 4 row quicksettings return to 3 rows...
-edittext to set a custom navbar color in ARGB Format (i.e. FF00FF00)
update v1.03:
-added immersiv control and 4 rows of quicksettings tiles
found a small bug. update v1.02is here ->
https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=org.inteks.samtweak2
update v1.01:
-added "Disable Max brightness Warning"
have fun

Thank you!
Quick question...
Will we need adb with every reboot?

No only one time or if you uninstall reinstall the app. Update doesnt need to renew the permission.

Got it working.
Had to toggle the switches on and off after adb.
Using it on my S9+ Snapdragon

Hmm can't get black bar to work. The reverse portrait works. Disable volume warning works also. I must have done correctly with grant permission if reverse portrait and volume warning works?

If I'm permitted to ask for a feature. Could you possibly add silent camera shutter option?

Same here. Navbar color has a mind of it's own. Sprint locked Snapdragon version, if that makes any difference.

Black nav bar working great here on locked T-mobile Snapdragon. It actually was the first option to work before the other 2.

Ah I understand.
Thanks for that link though, it's a interesting read.

Thank you for this, I wanted all of these features, especially the black nav bar and I couldn''t force it otherwise and the upside down feature will help a lot now that summer is coming and I use a USB powered fan from the charging port!

Black Navigation bar doesn't work on the international version. It wouldn't let me check on the selection as see on the attachment provided.

Very useful... thanks. Would it be possible to add options to remove the battery full and service provider from the notification bar.

Is there something like this for the 'brightness' warning?

Maybe ... We have to check if there is a secure system setting that is responible for this. Then we can change the setting.
In adb shell you can execute:
Settings list system
Settings list global
And
Settings list secure
You can also set this settings with the put command. Check the link a few posts above for details.

Hello!
I have seen a nice Ink Effect on Youtube. It is from the Samsung NoteII.
Is it possible to convert this nice feature to our Samsung S4?

it gives a hidden menu on S4 which u can find over a Shortcut app from the Market. In this hidden Menu u can choose the color of the effect, but it doesent work, i tried it few times.
It could be possible that u need a pen for this for working, but im not sure. Can some one test it with a pen for the S4?
When some needs help to find the hidden menu, let me know i will post it than later, now its too late and i must sleep.

seems to be a little bit tricky which this guide and im not so safe in editing such files from may S4.
I think there must be an easy way to get, cause the color menu exist on the phone just hidden, so i think it would be only needet to unlock the mode for color like in on part of the guide.
Would be awesome when some could create something flashable.
btw., here the way to the hidden menu:
get QuickShortCutMaker from google play than Search under Settings for this :
com.android.settings/com.android.settings.InkeffectPreview
it give it twice one for smartphone one for tablet in window mode. Hope someone can work with it.

[MOD][Xposed] Screen Tweaks

Hello fellow Xperia Z1c users,
I just wanted to let you know that I made a module for the Xposed framework where you can change the following things:
Enable the CRT screen off animation.
Prevent the screen from turning on if device is connected to or disconnected from charger or dock.
Hide the "Swipe to unlock" text from the lock screen.
Hide the camera icon on the lock screen
Hide the carrier label on the lock screen of some Xperia devices
Hide the sparkles effect on the lock screen of some Xperia devices
The module thread is here, the repository page is here.
Give it a try and let me know what you think (you need to be rooted to install the framework).
I suppose it would work on other Xperia devices also, maybe I should post this in the cross device development forum?
Works on xperia Z1

System UI Tuner?

Has anyone had any luck getting this turned on? I've been hunting and none of the suggested methods have worked so far.
It's not enabled by HTC

Why HTC dont let US personalize system ui tuner ?
I find the fingerprint button in quick access rather useless, is it possible to remove it even without system tuner enabled?

You are right HTCs do not have the System UI Tuner. What I mentioned earlier was in reference only to the Quick Settings editor. So no options for Status Bar Icons, Demo Mode
Battery Percentage can be displayed from settings/ power / show battery level
On M8 and M9----- Customizing Quick Settings
You can remove, replace, or rearrange the tiles in Quick Settings.
With two fingers, swipe down from the top of the screen to open Quick Settings.
Tap the pencil and pad icon at the top and do one of the following:
In the Quick Settings list, press and hold the three line icon next to the item you want to move and drag it to rearrange the list.
Under Hidden items, press and hold the three line icon and drag it up to make it available in Quick Settings.
Note: There is a limit to the number of tiles that can be shown in Quick Settings. You may need to remove an existing item to make space for another one. To remove an item, drag it below Hidden items.

Possible.....that on HTC A9 its unavailable???:crying::crying::crying::crying:
To enable tuner:
Code:
adb shell su -c pm enable com.android.systemui/.tuner.TunerActivity
Eventually, it'll then show up in your settings. But it takes time for some reason. To launch it before it shows up:
Code:
adb shell am start com.android.systemui/.tuner.TunerActivity
Unfortunately, currently it crashes when you try to add a new quick settings tile. But you can at least subtract tiles and edit the statusbar icons.
You need root.
I also made a simple app to do this automatically. And it provides a way around the new tile crash. See this thread.
i don't know if this has already been figured out elsewhere, but i just found that with an activity launcher app you can navigate to "system ui" and select "demo mode". that will open up the system ui tuner. i am rooted, but i don't believe root is required to find it. the activity launcher app itself does not require root.
hello, i have instal lineage 14.1 on my htc one a9 hiaeuhl en it is working perfect only 1 thing is missing now.
There is no kernel fm driver in lineage 14.1.

The fm radio was working fine on stock rom.

Is there a way to make the statusbar black for all apps?

I really don't like the inconsistency between apps with and without tint or flat style colors. I'd prefer an all black look. Any way to do this?

maybe root and use some xposed module?
there is a long way without root.
- use a apk Cloner like app cloner
- it allows you to create a copy of 99% of apps, and allows a few hacks like what colour the status bar should be., custom app icon, mute on start, password lock the app, etc..
install thec clone and uninstall the original app.
- repeat for all apps and try not to update as often... horrible but achievable.

Navbar Apps may do the job. I think you can set it to globally make the Nav Bar whatever color you want, or let it choose based on the color scheme of the app that is open.

Does an animated Pixel 2 navbar theme exist yet?

I have the Pixel 2-style navbar installed via Zipalign Cypher's Navbar theme, but the home button lacks the animation found on Pixel devices.

There's an option on top of the item selection you have to change to "enable animation" or something to that effect. It's not the default. At any rate I'm currently using the mini dark ones with the swirly color dot animation when you hold home so I know it works for me at least.

Yes. Hitting build & enable and the system ui refreshes. Within the Manager menu, the overlays are colored green, indicating they are active. I don't think anything is conflicting with this; The only apps I have effecting the navbar are Navbar Apps and Navbar Animations, neither of which have root permissions. But as a troubleshooting step, I disabled them but still no luck

You're just not hiding the animation on a rom that already has the animation.
It says in N Navbar Pro's Play Store description that it can't enable the animation on a rom that doesn't have the animation already.

Ha! Well alrighty then.
To solve the problem, however, I've used an Xposed module called Pixel Navigation Bar, which also offers a few more features like showing your current battery level as a portion of the ring around the home button.
Has some issues but, overall, does the job.
