[Q] modem file for i9082

Can't post to original post, no right, have to post here, if admin can move it to follow original post will be appreciated.

After flash the rom made by k2wl I experienced no service problem. I follow the instruction to patch the modem file but it can not be downloaded. Can anyone share that file with me? thanks a log
1. you may experience "no service " after rom installation here is what u do to get it back...
its a modem compatibility issue in between different firmwares
download the file from http://www.mediafire.com/?avjo48kvgz517z5
put ur mobile in download mode VOLUME DOWN + MENU + POWER then VOLUME UP to continue
connect to pc
(ur kies should not be runing... proper drivers should be installed)
start odin3 v3.04 . u should see the blue comxx as phone is connected
autoreboot and reset time should be selected.
click in PDA . select the modem.amc8.tar
click start...wait....u get pass confirmation..phone may boot into recovery just reboot...

This is For Going Back to Stock! The methods do require a little reading in the OP!
How to flash ROM KDZ Method
The Guide BELOW IS WORKING so if you have issues please check out the videos in the thread link at the end of the guide to hopefully help you out, If someone wants to make a clean new guide please PM me so I can post it up and Give credit Thank you! WARNING: Windows 8 and 8.1 Are having Permission issues, I don`t use Windows 8 so Googleling would help for running the script that needs permission.
The Files are Hosted on my server for fast speeds!
1). Download all The Files Below!
1.2). Get Your Firmware Files are HERE!
1.3). Download R&D FlashTool & Other Files :Here
1.4).Download Drivers HERE!
2. unzip
- LGMOBILEAX
- LG_KDZ_FW-Update_OfflineFix
3. install B2CAppSetup.exe in
LG_KDZ_FW-Update_OfflineFix\KDZ_FW_UPD_EN
4. go to C:\ProgramData\LGMOBILEAX
remove all files and folder
5. copy all files and folders from LGMOBILEAX that you unzip from step2 to C:\ProgramData\LGMOBILEAX
Method 1. work with vbs script
1. run Automatic Offline Procedure.vbs in \LG_KDZ_FW-Update_OfflineFix folder
2. now R&D test tools appear please select KDZ File
3. select Normal web upgrade test
4. Select Upgrade start
5. In Select Country & Langauage Please Select Country to Different Country (do not worry if does not has Langauage to select )
6. Process Flashing firmware start...Please waiting just moment.
7. for process 100% you is finishing flash return to stock firmware
Method 2. edit host file

1. Go to windows/system32/drivers/etc/ and open your hosts file! (open it with wordpad)
2 . Add this line at the end of the document:
127.0.0.1 csmg.lgmobile.com
3. Save hosts file
4. Install msxml (you can find it in the downloaded KDZ_FW_UPD_EN folder)
5. Start http in the shttps folder
6. Start Windows Enabler and turn it on (system tray!)
7. Start UpTestEX_mod2_marwin
8. Flash your .kdz as you normally would

It doesnt seem to work. And I think my phone is not turnin on anymore. I will bring this on a repair shop of my friend they can do the trick.

Just for clarification, I now have this device after previously having a G2 and have this set up for the G2 on an old windows 7 laptop. Will my set-up now work for this device or is it different in any way?

It has been working on my G Pro and now on my G2. So I guess it will work on the G Pro 2 as well.

[LG-H960AY/AR] ROOT H960AY Variant Using TOT File

Recently XDA Member @tungkick posted a method to root LG-H960A
However, different variants like H960AY gave error "TOT File is Invalid".
I managed to avoid it with some Hex-editor changes:
Use at your own risk!!
Tested on my H960AY and working
Other variants like H960AR can give it a try, it might work as well - Please - tell us.
Instructions:
1. Download Fixed TOT File for H960AY - Here.
(If you have a different variant like h960AR: open a hex editor like HxD, Locate first line that has "AY" and change the letter to your own model.
This will bypass validation check of LGUP. Theres a reason for these checks, however in our case there shouldn't be changes between H960A, H960AY, H960AR etc...
2. Download LG USB Drivers - Here
3. Download LGUP - Props to @tungkick .
4. Install LGUP_Store_Frame_Ver_1_14_3.msi.
5. Install LGUP_8994_DLL_Ver_0_0_1_18.msi
6. Copy "common" folder to "C:\Program Files (x86)\LG Electronics\LGUP\model"
7.Boot V10 into Download Mode (turn off -> press volume+ -> connect usb to your PC while volume+ pressed)
8.Run LGUP --> Select your Phone --> Select bin file (The file you downloaded)
--> Choose: Upgrade (so you won't lose data).
9. Enjoy a rooted V10.

will it work on H960YK?

You should look for differences in devices(maybe different bands - in that case i don't know what will happen)
If there aren't major differences then yes, try editing the file(step 1) and flash.
The worst outcome is that you'll have to send it to repair(to flash original). Please consider before attempting.

Where do you get the exact model number? Is it from the hidden menu?

Yes. You only need to change the first occurence, it seems to statisfy the LGUP Software.

yeah, i followed the guide step by step without changing the file in hex editor and it worked, i also managed to root another(friends) device with this method.

Gorgemuo6 says he has the 960AY version. its not like 960YK even though he says he is in israel. be careful about doing the same lushmolik. I have the 960YK as well. I think it's better to wait than be sorry.

this doesn't hurt warranty since we don't unlock bootloader, right ?

I am not responsible any any damage will happen with your mobile​I have found this firmware from another xda post. Just downloaded files from this https://forum.xda-developers.com/moto-g4-plus/how-to/install-official-firmware-soak-test-t3531296 link.
Install minimal adb and fastboot. Extract the firmware zip and place the files in minimal ADB and fastboot folder. Now turn off your phone and go to fastboot folder and just click on re-lock.bat file. And your phone will restart after completing the lock process.

I'm on the October soak test. I turned off the phoneto fastboot mode and clicked the the re-loc.bat file, there was command window for very short time and nothing happened. I already extrated the firmware i to fastboot folder. Could you tell me what I have to do? thanks in advance, I'm just a new member here.

Run the bat file in a "dos/command" window. When you are in the fastboot folder hit shift and right mouse and click "open command window here", in that window typ re-loc.bat

TCL A3 (A509DL) Unbrick Scatter Rom

I was finally able to help someone with this phone today after looking for months for someone to give me a dump.
Used UnlockTool to flash it to fix my soft brick, but I don't see why spflashtool couldn't do it.

disable signature enforcement
i installed mediatek vcom drivers manually. should get a prompt if you want to install if driver signature enforcement is off.
open spflashtool
click on download
load the scatter file from the downloaded folder
click download
I did it without the battery, but I don't know if it matters
just plug it in while the phone is off
if all the planets align it should flash

Thanks. I'm "All LInux" and it looks like the tools you used were "Window only". I've used mtkclient (python based) and have been able to pull some locked information on the TCL A30 - battery and sim-card in.
It just is not as detailed as your posting.
