Hello Everyone,
I am new here i am facing a problem with my uncles phone Huawei ascend y511-u30
as he passed away a month ago and his wife wants to access the phone for their
photos and stuff like that iam facing a problem unlocking the phones pattern as
the usb debug feature wasnt ticked so i backed the phone from android recovery
system and transfered the backup file ( userdata_20141222_230403.backup ) on
the pc and done a factory reset to the phone to gain access to it my question here
can i extract the content of the backup at all or not.

I'm not sure about your device specifics.
So please read and ask in the Huawei ascend y511-u30 bootloader, Root, CWM & Rom!! thread.
Hopefully someone there is able to answer your question.
For other devices, you need a custom recovery to create/restore a complete system backup.
As I can see, you have already posted your question in another help thread (extracting android userdata.backup).
To avoid double postings, please be patient and wait for someone answering your question there.

i tried to live recovery method twrp..to install super su.zip....
i placed the dload folder and super su.zip into sd card...when i reboot the device it boots normal.... how to boot to twrp recovery to install super su....or tell my other method to root my device thanks

hello guys plz help me i can't root my huawei CHC-u01 after lollipop update ...i was root able before the update using just kingroot apk...
but now i can't root it using any software or app like frameroot, oneclickroot,etc even the pc one are not working...so plz help me the history is i unrooted my device before the update, and wiped my device to factory reset after update to clear internal memory.. and tried to root it then it failed ..so plzz help me to root the device or downgrade it back to emui 3.0

I'm not finding anything specific for your device. Try posting your question in the forum linked below. Make sure it is safe to downgrade your device, not all devices can be downgraded, attempting to do so on those devices bricks them. Double check yourself before you do anything.

Step to root Honor Holly 2 Plus
i have found a way to root honor holly 2 plus, but after i root my phone, my sim card did not work anymore. so root at your own risk.
i will include 2 pdf files below on how to unlock bootloader and then install TWRP and root. to unlock the bootloader and install TWRP, you will need a PC and adb. also, if adb drivers are not installed from phone, download adb driver kit, set phone to CTP and then download the drivers.
P.S. I do not take credit for this method, as i found it online. All credit goes to the ones who did find this method.

one link is for root and the other is for bootloader. i forgot which is which, but you need to unlock bootloader first to proceed with rooting.
Root Honor Holly 2 Plus
I already used that method It worked but i was unable to boot my device again. Then I created patched boot image and my device then worked nicely. But it takes long time to start device. I tried this method about one year back. There are three more custom recoverys including TWRP,CWM,CARLWIN. The easy way to unlock bootloader is First go to developer options then allow oem unlock and turn on usb debugging. Then boot into fadtboot mode and connect to pc. Then with fastboot setup enter command
1. Fastboot devices
You will see your device with some number
2. Fastboot oem unlock
On your device press volume up to conform. Then u successfully unlocked ur device but u will loose all your data so backup before unlocking device.

I am currently working with Huawei company as a sales manager.
As per my knowledge holly 2 plus is a unrootable phone made on testing basis
This phone was manufactured just for testing but many pieces of phone were manufactured and hence it was sold at a low price in market
It is not considered in any official huawei product and hence no update is released for it...
I have roooted it but for that u will hve to install cyanogenmod 12.1 first

Use updater in settings to flash
I think flashing magisk or supersu (if you can find the compatible version) using the updater inbuilt to the cellphone.

I bought huawei y6 pro it was i the box(the name). I gave it to my sister to play some games and she didnt wanna return so i tried to lock the device using android device manager i saw something unusual. My phone was labeled huawei enjoy 5.
And I want to root it (MODEL:TIT-AL00). How do i do it and what is my device ?

I had a similar incident with lava. My phone was lava iris atom 2 when i saw it's update. I downloaded it and couldnt flash it. Then I saw the images in the model The pic had "Atom 2". And I had "iris Atom 2". Is it a similar issue.Or my life sux.

Without exactly knowing the name of your device , no one can suggest anything about rooting or flashing stuffs
