Anyone with the View 10 taking photos and willing to post some samples. - Honor View 10 Questions & Answers

I've got the Huawei Mate 10, Mate 10 Pro and the Huawei Honor View 10 on my list of phones I'm considering since I need to update my daily driver this year. Is anyone with the View 10 willing to post some sample photos, including low light shots? I'd like to see some real world photos, not just the glossy professional online reviews. TIA.

You can find some pictures here http://www.huafan.cz/discussion/4265/huawei-honor-v10/p4 and here http://www.huafan.cz/discussion/4265/huawei-honor-v10/p5.

Thanks for sharing, some of the early reviewers were harsh on the camera, but I don't agree with them from the photos I'm seeing.

Thanks for sharing that lovely sunset view from the bridge. It's a good low light sample.

It was also a moving shot in the car through a windshield so I'd say that's pretty good. Better than my OP5. I think maybe pre production software played a role in why they were so tough on the camera

You can find my pictures here
first few of them is in 1:1, the rest is in 4:3 resolution, also there are 3 of them in RAW -> 2 pictures made by someone experienced in photography from RAW format, their filenames starting with LR-...
Also one video shoot from a concert here in Budapest. Couple of picture made in a cloudy day. More will come in the same folder later.
All of these pictures and video has been made in full automatic mode, no adjustment made at all!

imo the camera is a let down

Here's one using the wide angle lense. Also note that I'm not in anyway a photographer nor do I really do anything besides point and shoot so for me it's more than enough most of the shooting modes I've no earthy idea how to use.

Camera 360 works much better then stock cam software.

So I took some pics with different settings in Camera 360 program. I forgot what the settings I selected were but its pretty much all of them.

Oh P.S. these are all seprate pics of the same thing.
better because it has some extra filters?
take some long distance shots with the default camera app, then take the same shot with camera 360, and we'll see which picture looks sharper.

Will do in the morning
Yeah, I've taken pictures just as good of close-up flowers with the stock camera app. Those look great though! The camera is pretty excellent on the Captivate IMO.
Some of those filters look fantastic!!
/downloading camera360
for some reason i find that my camera is sub-par.. pictures always come out blurry even though i am very steady. i will try camera 360 and hopefully it will help
So what color is the flower supposed to be? Purple or Red. I'd say that only one of those photos looks good. I think the one where its red looks good, the leaves look a good solid green. The rest look kind of like "neon" lights or something.
I find that my Touch Pro w/ it's 3.2MP camera takes sharper photos than the captivate does indoors. I have a 30" monitor so I can actually verify if the camera is keeping up with the horizontal resolution of 2560. I would rate the effective pixel resolution only at like 2.5MP for the captivate. I would say the rest of the 2.5MP seem extrapolated w/ noise.
While YellowGTO's shots look good, we must remember that they are downsized. I tried out camera 360 as well. But imo that application only applies some digital filters to beef up the picture - I can do this w/ picasa. In the end TP's shots blow those of captivate to dust. Captivate lacks refinement.
Engadget did say that the camera quality is better on the vibrant than it is in the captivate. It would be nice if someone who also has access to the vibrant or the i9000 can compare the refinement abilities.
looks awesome!!!
Does this app let you use the camera on a low battery (unlike the stock)?
Those all look severly over saturated to my eye.

Which is one of the main advantages of this program. I also like Fxcamera, though the pictures quality looks far worse on the computer than when viewed on the phone.

Camera replacement? Want ISO

Is there a camera replacement that lets me specify the ISO?
I read something about the Desire camera apk but can't find much more info. Anyone know anything?
Heh, what do you know! That isn't adjustable either!
I tried 3 camera apps and no luck

I haven't found any great camera aps for the Nexus S.
I use Camera 360 for it's HDR feature, but it's not ideal: it doesn't offer 16x9 option, the HDR is so-so and you have to keep the stock camera for video.
And of course, I wish someone would figure out how to get 720p video from the Nexus S.

I care a lot less about 720p video than manual ISO. Cranking the ISO can really help get much better pictures in low light. I used my Evo to take some incredible photos of Iron Maiden in concert at the Garden, but I had to shoot at ISO 800 for it. On Auto they were just too blurry.

Heh, to each their own.... But the fact is still that there isn't a great camera app which does anything truly useful that the stock camera doesn't.
BTW, how did the pics look on a big screen at ISO 800? Did you get tons of noise, or were the shots useful?
Large images, but it doesn't seem the thread is good for much else anyway

That was done with an evo? You have to have a steady hand too with low light. I certainly can't do it.
Yup. In the pit. The pics at auto ISO were just blurs.

Okay, usually I don't take photos with my mobile, I'd rather choose a DSLR because of the better quality. Anyways, here is one I've taken. The phone was running MIUI v9 (as far as I know). I used the MIUI Camera App Port from the i9003 Themes and Apps section. 5MP, exposition -2. Not the best photo I have taken, but quite ok and the quality is ok for a mobile, but unfortunately I needed to compress it, before uploading.

PocoF1 photography (Gcam or MIUI)

Let's say I'm annoyed by annoyance of some and I decided to open this thread of discussion about photography with PocoF1.
Honestly, Gcam, by its computational photography led phone's cameras to a new level of performance. I like macro photography and I wanted to try this genre with my PocoF1. I dismantled an old telescope eyepiece ant took one of its lenses, a doublet with about 7x magnification. The working technology is simple: on your knees, on your belly to "hunt" all these little creature and pray seriously that they will not move so hard or the wind not to blow, then go to your PC to edit pictures. I use RAWs and I edit them with Lightroom desktop. Sorry for my poor english.
The setup is this:
So let's start. I'll post 5 pics at a time to keep posts small enough.
Photos taken with various version of Gcam (sanity and BSG):
Cool!!!
Because you posted the first in my thread, you won a... puppy!
Here's a shot from my balcony. Slept on my sofa while watching a movie and woke up to this beautiful scenery. Fired up my GCam and bang!

These pictures are amazing! Looks very much like an expensive camera. Have you taken any landscape or green elements? Would love to see those more from this thread:fingers-crossed:
Yes. Like i said, Gcam with its computational photography took the newest phone cameras and put them close to expensive cameras, from the quality point of view. Pictures have good dynamic range, good definition and very few noise. Concerning landscapes, I only tried few panoramas (using Photoscape on Gcam, Panorama don't work), but they are too large to attach them here and see all the details they reveal.
For example:
Carpathians, close to Buzau city, Romania:
Muddy volcanoes from my country:
So, let's see more...
...and...
There's so many cool insects and beautiful flowers where you are taking this picture haha. Is it taken where you live? Wonderful photos btw
Of course, there are subjects for (macro)photography everywhere.
Maybe you want to see Danube?
I recommend to download original pictures (option in top of the page), because postimg use compression for previews and quality is low.

Question Samsung s22 ultra HDR blue cast in highlights

Hi guys new to Samsung after many years aways (my last true Samsung usage was a Galaxy S2. I bought a s20 plus but didn't get on with it at all)
I have a snapdragon s22 ultra and am getting used to the ai hdr applied to photos. Obviously very different to Huawei (who I feel still have the upper hand) but I've picked up some issues of reflections and highlights being cast blue or purple and it's very unfortunate.
Anyone else seen this? I think Samsung have some work to do, in the same vein as the sports mode or shutter priority mode to avoid blurry photos of our kids or pets.

Thank you have tried but doesn't fix it. I think the ai is misreading scenes and applying the effect to reflections and brighter white colours
you could try using pro mode, i know it doesnt fix the problem at its core but would help you take better pictures

Appreciate the assistance. My only gripe with Pro mode is upping shutter speed alone still leaves you with shoddy looking but less blurry images in lower light situations. The huaweis show just how much images are fixed in post using ai - their Pro mode on the mate 40 Pro produces barely usable images as the chromatic aberration and noise just goes mad
do you know your way around android, you could try extracting or finding a huawei camera apk, signing it, and try to install it on your device, may not work, but it may also with some manipulation, wont do any harm to try

Yeah I'm into tech but not that inclined. I'm just hoping Samsung makes some changes to benefit all
I get this type of image with nightmode on ultrawide lens, check the red patch around the yellow night bulb,i think there scene optimiser is not working properly in some instances, when I use pro mode or extra raw app this doesn't show even with dialling same settings as nightmode image
