Nope, you need to have snapdragon processor for full working camera. Although it's still in development for Exynos chipset.

Gcam supposed to provide the highest colour accuracy. Stock camera makes images over saturated. Gcam is no doubt has changed the game.

I'm incredibly interested in this and I hope the community figures it out one day, I find the camera in the honor 7x to be really nice details wise but the colors are a bit unnatural and on the colder side, it would be interesting to see what a different algorithm using the same hardware can come up with.

Should I flash it?

I'm also eager to have Gcam working... Keep it up, devs!

I bought from Aliexpress GPS based on an android tablet.
the problem is, it came with a very bad android 4.4.2 version: it's a Chinese version, no space to install anything because it has several partitions on the inner space, cant install many apps from google play because of Chinese restrictions, the device is unrooted and I really want to find a new ROM for it.
I was able to install a device info app and to extract some details for this tablet, can anyone help me find a new rooted ROM for this device without all the Chinese limitations? thanks.

okay for the note 8 port , front cam isn't working the app force closes
rear camera is working fine but when i enable portrait mode in settings it's black screen .
Tried on 7.0 stock rom and portrait mode doesn't work
Confirmed here also,
GSM [UK] S7 Edge on stock EE 7.0 firmware , regular crashes back to home screen and any change of the HDR or enabling portrait mode causes either a black screen hang or app crash
portrait mod not work sorry
rear camera portrait worked here, but after this FC, front camera always give a bad image, don't load, and after FC too, but it's a great progress

Check this in ur build.prop have or not
This is done by editing build.prop to add or enable "persist.camera.HAL3.enabled=1"

Same problem for me on S7 Edge. Need to zoom to x1.5 to unzoom the default hyper zooming.

Astar Y3 chinese tablet , problems apps freeze and slow especially when on WIFI

In short
-There may be a kernel issue with the WIFI/BT driver / Any way to fix it?
-Multitasking not working, only one app may run if at all. Apps start slowly and freeze from time to time.
Recently I bought a cheap chinese Allwinner A33 based tablet Astar Y3 or softwinner qt-7. It's really slow when connected to wifi (module rtl8723cs) and i've began suspecting that it's a driver issue in the android kernel. As an offline device it may work when background processes are disabled from developer settings. Is there anyway to find a better ROM for this device, currently running 4.4.2? It has 2 GB ROM, and 1 GB RAM. Any ideas? Has anyone succesfully made this piece of junk work?
