You need to wait for the US version. None of the other versions support the US LTE bands.

Release date is January 8, as for CDMA carriers, I don't know.

Very unlikely to work for CDMA carriers outside of China, unless it works over VoLTE.
As for the reason, there are various legal protections for Qualcomm, and Huawei's implementation doesn't include Qualcomm.

I'm curious to find out if unlocking bands is possible through changing the firmware. That could be interesting to find out

[Q] how to make MT7-TL00 work with AT&T LTE? Or is it entirely not possible?

Somehow I ended up having a CMCC version of Mate 7 (TL00).
Already unlocked and rooted.
Used the "network unlock assistant" from China Unicomm ("网络解锁助手")
Still, I'm not able to get on the LTE or even 4G from AT&T. Only 3G.
I thought all these models have the same hardware specs?
Can anyone help?

I've flip-flopped between the different models, but came to the realization that im paying for 4G/LTE so i might as well get a phone capable of supporting it. So i settled with the L09 model.

VERIZON Compatible

I'm sure the question will get brought up......
The answer is yes! This phone works perfect on Verizon. Lte , calls, mms all work flawlessly. You must already have a active micro SIM and just swap it from previous phone to the NEX
This is only for the s (sd845 processor) variant that supports the bands of cdma and lte.

I think VOLTE is like T-Mobile's band 12, 700Mhz concrete break through band. The phone has to be authorized by the provider for the service to work.
I believe you. No need to lie about something like this. No need for pic, but you can post it for those with doubt.

I can't remember if the Service Dialer code *#*#4636#*#* works on the NEX.
If it's capable, you should be able to see if the toggles for VoLTE & Vo WI-FI are accessible (not greyed-out).
Just curious,as neither are available on the NEXs' cousin, the Find X.

3 questions
1. Is your Vivo Nex the 8gb ram version or the 6gb ram version? I heard that one of the two models do not work well with Verizon, so i want to know the model you use on Verizon if what i heard is true.
2. Did you buy the Chinese version or the India version of the Vivo Nex?
3. Where is a good place to buy a Vivo Nex? Is it possible to have the website where you got your Vivo Nex if you got yours online?
Ran into this info unrelated to your VOLTE problem but it deserves a read. Looks like IMS, which can be added in the APN settings, has to do with VOIP.
The settings location is APN TYPE located in your APN file @settings\Mobile Network\Access Point Name.

Are you able to get LTE Band 13? I see its missing from the specs.
Have you put the nex on T-Mobile? How did that work out?

Global release

Any info about a global release ?
Another question:.
Will the European version have the same rom? Because most languages are already supported on the Chinese version?
Will it be likely that LTE b7 and b20 bands be included?
I've never had a Huawei phone. What's the possibility of them being rooted or can custom roms be installed on them?

I read about that too. But that just means you have to pay more for the phone basically (extra $55 for the unlock code). Unless somebody finds a way to unlock the bootloader without asking for money. I like the Honor Magic 2 better than the MI MIX 3 but the Mi Mix is more developer friendly

There are quite a few bands in use in North America missing, sadly. I like the look of it, that it has a wide-angle lens, but the Mi Mix 3 just has so much better global compatibility.

Here for use in EU it has all the bands I would need except band 20 sadly... The Mix 3 only advantage I think is the global compatibility and bigger modding community

Xiaomi devices do get some good ROM's. I just wish the Mi Mix 3 had a wide-angle lens and the in-screen fingerprint reader. Then again, the Mi Mix 3 is a lot cheaper by comparison as well and it comes in green!

Hopefully Huawei changes their mind. I like the look of the Honor Magic 2 better than the Mi Mix 3 and I would prefer to have a wide-angle camera as well. The Mi Mix 3 though has excellent global band support though, which is important for those of us who live in North America.
Answer from official UK Honor Support :
Dear Nik,
Thank you for contacting Honor Support - UK .
The Honor Magic 2 is available, as you stated only in the Asian regions.
You will not be able to buy the device from Asia and make it compatible with the European markets.
This is because we create devices that are locked in certain regions and this is not changeable.
As of now we do not have a release date or idea if there will be one for the UK market.
If you wish to get any other information about Honor UK devices, I am more than glad to answer you.
Should you have any further inquiries, please do not hesitate to contact us.
Best regards,
Ben

If it's for Colombia, the phone needs to be FCC-certified, otherwise you won't be able to get it approved for use in the country.
In case of Redmi Note 7, it has already been certified: https://fccid.io/2AFZZ-RMSF7G https://fccid.io/2AFZZ-RMSF7H
Redmi Note 7 Pro is not FCC-certified yet. If it actually gets certified, I'd assume it would happen not long after the global version launch, which would probably happen next month since the China launch is only happening next week.
I'm subscribing to this thread. Looking for availability to UK
It has been released today in China. It will go on sale on March 22nd; that means it will be available on Aliexpress very soon. But i doubt it will have B20
Which device do I buy?
I have a question ... I buy the PocoPhone F1 or I wait for this Redmi Note 7 Pro in my country ???
Note: I am not interested in the camera, only the performance and autonomy. I do not know if the SD 675 is more powerful than the SD 845 since it is more recent. Thanks!!!

If performance and autonomy is most important for you, go for Pocophone. The price difference between the 2 is not really noticeable but performance is. F1 is much more powerful than RN7pro :good:

I'm still waiting for a small price drop. 285USD + shipping is still a little too expensive for me
So the version being released tomorrow 12am in china.. can you put a global update on it? It seems the bands would support AT&T. What is the difference of a global version vs what is coming tomorrow?

But if the chinese version have band 20 activated, it will be a huge boom for Redmi and no need to release a global version, because, from what i saw online, ppl was waiting for global versions mostly for band 20

Ah, thanks. That said, I feel like rooting your phone meant more a few years back. When CyanogenMod was around and even Magisk (?) modules, I think that was the name. With the Note 8 and 9 I didn't really see an advantage of it, but that is just one man's opinion.

Correct. No root for US Snapdragon variants. There probably never will be either. If you need root/bootloader unlock go buy yourself an unlocked Pixel or OnePlus device. Stay far far away from any Verizon branded devices. They even lock down the Pixels and OnePlus

Im still trying to figure out in 2020 why people need to ask if a north american samsung device let alone a verizon device can be rooted.
Imagine if there was a search button or something like that people could use here to look for these commonly asked questions lol .
Sorry couldn't help it guys lol:angel:
His choice is clear, either exynos like Brava has or a HK or Korean snapdragon...if he wants root.
If he wants roms, kernels etc then definitely go exynos.
5g working is another story entirely but something to consider if it matters to the user.

Well Yes apparently from what this article says:
https://www.xda-developers.com/samsung-galaxy-note-20-ultra-root-us-unlocked-snapdragon-865/
I was going to buy the Note 20 Ultra Exynos to be able to have call recording by changing the CSC to thailand ... but if I can have the snapdragon would be much better... Can anyone that has used that share their experience with this service? I would pay $150 to have the call recording. Even if don't want the LIMITATIONS of rooting but would prefer to have the better Battery life of the snapdragon... This seems like the only way to get call recording on a snapdragon phone... Can someone help with more info on this?
