Hi! It all seems very interesting... But could you explain what you use that for please? Tyvm.

rom europe can not be installed by twrp? thank you

HI
Copy required vendor pack Example : [/dload/venrod/update_****_hw_eu.app] after rename the file in update.app
I DONT UNDERSTAND THIS HELP

Model: STF-L09
Build Number: C432B130
its out B150

Thanks, I was able to fix the bootloop!
A few notes: the firmwares can be copied into a sdcard (at least 8gb big), as long the "dload" folder is present in the sdcard root.
Also, what the author meant with
"Copy required vendor pack Example : [/dload/venrod/update_****_hw_eu.app] after rename the file in update.app"
is that you first have to install the big UPDATE.APP, then the smaller one by renaming it UPDATE.APP and placing it inside the "dload" folder (you should rename the big UPDATE.APP into something else, to avoid overwriting it).
Then you must factory reset and install again the big UPDATE.APP.
Only then the phone will work properly.
Hope this helps.

How do you install it. Do I have to hold 3 fingers when rebooting?

Exactly. You copy the UPDATE.APP file inside the "dload" folder on your SD and then use the Vol+, Vol- and Power reboot.

Well i did this for the b180 version and it says it failed

I used the external SD Card without problems.

Hello guys,
I can't put the big UPDATE.app in my SD card by drag and and drop, how can I put the file in my SD card ? (I make a dload folder)
Thank you.

Must format your SDcard to exFAT.

and maybe use an external cardreader, not via phone, that was the solution for me

download OTA update < 50 MB. The update is patch check related, so u must have stock rom from initial current firmare or the update will fail.
Made with custom workground for FOTA. The update is copied from /cache.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EV6X2etMUtI&feature=youtu.be
Warning :
The boot image (kernel) prevent additional access to extSdCard ( extra KitKat restriction ).
Current workground for editing platform.xml will fail.
You cannot copy the files to sdCard via USB cable too.
Flash the previous version of boot image to bypass that.

It's not so simple and I did not create the update zip, I have only create a workground for FOTA to work and then only copy the downloaded file from /cache. It's only for official release.
First I have to have a phone to repeat the procedure and create a workground to fool FOTA check.
If u have official release you could download the update, flash recovery (TWRP) and then copy the update.zip from /cache and I think It has to work, it's a harder to create a workground for it with custom ( non OTA updatable rom ).
thanks

EVA-AL10 to EVA-L29
Hey guys,
I am really sorry for the dumb question... I want to get rid of all chinese stuff in my phone (EVA-AL10, currently my device is on C00B183).
I already downloaded the SRK tool and have the EVA-L29C636B136 version downloaded from stock ROM thread.
Which oeminfo may I flash in my phone with the tool?
After flash EVA-L29C636B136 I will receive the last update by OTA or need to download the last version in stock rom thread and do it manually?
Can I up this ROM for EVA-L19 ?? thanks

How to install update.zip:
1. You must be on ZRA5, stock, no root. If you are on AQL5, you can flash this to update to ZRA5: https://mega.nz/#!3M9hATZB!9uzxvZvFJviGyjZBt1_vmkyD5M6tscbllrVfEwR9WuQ
2. Copy the update.zip to microSD

5. Enjoy!

Guide to flash update.zip:
(I have no idea who created it but all credits to him/her).
- Put in on your SD card (it's needed here) - Reboot the phone to recovery mode - switch the phone off, press Vol+ + Bixby + Power, release power when you see the splash screen but keep holding the rest. Blue screen will appear, when you see an Android on it's side and a warning sign hold Vol- button for a few seconds, you will see recovery screen with a few options.
- Using volume buttons select "Apply update from SD Card" and press Power to select option
- Select update.zip you placed on the card and press Power
- Wait until the phone completes the update. It will reboot automatically.
** Alternatively, if you don't have a free SD card you can use ADB sideload.
- Get Android platform tools: https://developer.android.com/studio/releases/platform-tools.html and Google USB driver: https://developer.android.com/studio/run/win-usb.html
- Copy update.zip to the folder where you extracted platform tools (again, shortest path possible recommended)
- Reboot phone to recovery as described above, select the option "Apply update from ADB", connect the phone to PC, open command prompt that has the directory with the update.zip and adb selected
- run "adb devices" command (without quotes) and check that the phone shows up there
- run "adb sideload update.zip" command. Update will be uploaded to the phone and applied
- Wait until the phone completes the update. It will reboot automatically.
Already installed from oreo beta 6 to official orea.. Everything fine.. I dont see new feature on official orea CRAP..
There won't be many differences from the beta to the final, a few extra things here and there and better stability. I'm on beta 6 UK, waiting for it drop here.
Same model. Didn't get it yet.

When you say debrand / remove retail mode?
My phone currently has a locked bootloader (I have the code from Huawei) started out unlocked, with no branding, after putting in a Three UK sim I now have a Three logo everytime I boot up and a factory reset, reinstalls some Three apps and sets my web browser home page to three.co.uk. Would this reset the phone to before I put that SIM card in and gave it that branding.
It suppose to. I have tested with Live Demo Unit to remove retail mode

I hope that site will be back soon
very grateful for the finding out and your hard work.
can you explain the following steps: they seem the same?
6. Copy OEM info binary file to internal memory oeminfo.bin
7.Boot into Android System enable adb debbuging in developer settings.
8.copy oeminfo to internal memory
from the downloads there is only one file name 'oeminfo'...also it has no extension i.e. .bin

im in the UK, try changing 'UK' to your local domain if you are not based in the UK...if german DE works so you may have to work your one out, im not sure if you will need local region support or not.

amazing...this works, im now on C432 120
Many thanks...instructions work to a T, but i would clear up the steps 6,7,8 as they may confuse.
This my first huawei so im slowly learning, i have nexus's, samsung and sony before so the huawei are new to me.
If for some (strange?) reason i wanted to go back to c732 (UK) how would that be done? would you mind sharing the method?
Also would it be a good idea to save the existing oeminfo in case someone wants to go back? or are these downloadable from somewhere?
Also I would to the instructions root is lost and how to re root the new firmware, factory reset wipes all data and if bootloader is locked or not (i dont think it is but OEM unlock is greyed out).
Many Thanks again.
EDIT: Root after update can be obtained via TWRP as that is now available for p20 i guess? someone confirm?

Does it work with CLT-L09?

So far so good but DO SO AT YOUR OWN RISK>>I TAKE NO RESPONSIBILITIES IF ANYTHING HAPPENS TO YOUR OR OTHER DEVICES WHO TAKE MY ADVICE.

Would be good if we can get OEMINFO for l09? is this possible OP?
Thanks OP for this great articel!
I have a question about this statement: 'DONT TRY TO REBRAND L29 to L09 or vice versa will brick or have problems !'
Why would this not work for converting a L09 to a L29? isnt that the same as changing region?
Thank you

Use attached oeminfo just edit model name according to manual via adb shell. Instead of CLT-L29 write CLT-L09 as model name (rest of command is same)

I wanted to try to replace this with the original one and then use the twrp method but putting nobrand software. This oeminfo is from the CLT-L29 Nobrand right?

Update .152 question

Hello,
I get a notification that I can update my P20 Pro from .131 version to .152 version.
The update has around 700MB, the problem is that when my update gets downloaded and when I reboot the device it reboots the device in to a TWRP where I get an error 9 with an information that the update has failed to install.
What can I do?
Should I remove TWRP, would that help?
I really want that update since I have very bad SOT (4 hours of SOT max )
Thank you all in advance
Hi,
We can't do it if you have TWRP. You must use HuRUpdater.
I did it on my P20.
You can use Huawei Firmware Finder APK on play store to download the packages.
(I will do it with 8.1.0.164 )
How to use:
Warning: Make sure you know what you are doing and do not flash firmware from other devices.
Download firmware files (for official firmware use Huawei Firmware Finder).
Put files you want to flash in a seperate folder on sdcard.
Supported zip files to flash are (name must match):
update.zip (use FullOTA file)
update_all_hw.zip
update_data_public.zip
Optional: Put recovery.img in same folder if you want to keep custom recovery.
