There are two main ways to flash files onto your phone: local and sideload. Most people are only familiar with local, but sideload is much quicker and easier if you are at a PC.
Sideload
Download the ZIP file(s) to your PC. In TWRP, select advanced and then sideload. Swipe the slider to begin, then on your PC run "adb sideload <filename>".
Local
Download and/or copy the ZIP file(s) to your phone. Note whether they are on internal storage (the default) or the sdcard. In TWRP, select install, find your file, and select it.
Status
Current status: RC
Known issues
None (hopefully).

Very nice! I assume call audio is fully functional in this Rom?

Yes it's just like lineage but more unicorns.

Like a Phoenix
Like a Phoenix rising from the ashes, this ROM is refreshing! A big thank you to tdm! You are brilliant! As I test, I will share my experience. Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!
@tdm - Is there a way of removing the Google search bar at the top of the screen? Thanks.

I don't think the stock launcher allows you to remove the search bar. But I don't really know for sure as I don't use the stock launcher. I use nova and it allows tons of customization, including removing the search bar.

I want to flash but I'm nervous lol. I need something that's stable for daily use. I may wait until someone posts a review on it. I understand that it's in alpha stages

It's quite stable. But there are a couple remaining issues called out in the OP. If you can live with those, go for it. As always, make a backup first.

I should add, I'm calling it alpha right now because it's not fully functional. That doesn't mean it's unstable in any way, just that it's not finished.

So far Aokp is doing great. However I have no LTE. I'm on ATT and its not connecting to data services. I'm having to use WiFi only

I'm on AT&T also and LTE is working fine for me. What is your APN?

Its showing go phone. Which one is the correct one? I'm on a standard contract

Hmm, just checked mine and it also said gophone. Which is incorrect of course. I believe ATT LTE should work.

I've clicked a few different ones and my signal indicator shows H+ as my understanding that's a network configuration before LTE. Is this a display error in the ROM? According to Speed test I'm getting almost 8mbs down and 2mbs up

No mine is showing LTE. But if you are getting H+ then I'd recommend playing with the APNs more.
Is it possible that you aren't getting a strong signal?

According to the signal indicator I have full service. And on stock LTE comes in crystal clear

FWIW, just tested and I'm getting roughly comparable speeds to you. All the while my indicator says LTE and hovering around 2 or 3 bars.

Oh also make sure your preferred network is LTE. When I set mine to 3G, it limits to H+.

Well I went in under the "ATT Phone" APN and made the following changes.
I changed
APN Type
Default,MMS,supl
To
APN Type
Default,MMS,supl,hipri
And I also changed the APN protocol and APN roaming protocol from IPv4 to "IPv4/IPv6"
I rebooted and let the phone sit on the charger while I made something to eat and when I came back I had LTE. So I'm leaving it alone haha.

Update: phone now picks up full LTE with settings above after a day or so of use. Amazing data speeds now!

LTE for EU-Version is also working flawless. :good:

**NO LONGER SUPPORTED** Closed BETA Shogun ATT rom "Death"

So i have recently been in the kitchen.... I have cooked a rom that is like wm6.1 on crack, its crazy and makes me feel like i have a phone again... but i am looking for a few good people for beta testers!
before saying you will test:
this is built off the newest ATT rom i striped.
i dont know which all radios work with it since i am locked to the radio from hell.
must be hardspl'd.
and must NOT BE A MORON!
So, are you willing to test the Shogunmark ROM of death on crack?
OH and im specifically looking for ATT people... other will work, but you will need to edit your connections
****THE BETA IS NOW OPEN TO THE PEOPLE WHO RECIEVED THE PM'S****
Please click here for the file!
Report any and all issues in this thread
all other threads will be removed to prevent clutter!
Also in this rom is an app called LiveCAM, there is currently a beta thread for it here. If you have unlimited data i would urge everyone to give it shot, it enables you to stream live video from your cell to the web or to a pc app! Can also give you a moving map and video.. fun little app!
check the first post testers... its up!

I am an At&t user. I will test your rom as long as there isn't a radio attached. I'll download now and test tomorrow night. Please respond to confirm there is no radio attached thank you.
maybe i can, just join in.
Initial thoughts.... The reaper's kinda creepy...
Testing w/ radio 1.65.20.29. Very snappy. No issues w/ camera or video camera. Wifi works. BT works. No problems w/ back-lighting. Will test more tomorrow during real world work day.
what is the password to extract the rar file?
password please, thank you sir.
edit: durr i didn't receive a pm.
alright so i'm up and running, testing using 1.65.14.06, definately fast enough for my liking. i like the setup on programs, not cluttered at all ver neat and organized into folders. UC ran without a hitch and for that i'm glad, few roms have said "UC compatible" but then i find that my UC fails at some random point. LOVE the reaper, but did get rid of him for my "xp" startup due to UC. will definately test for the next few days on my current radio and the 1.65.20.29
some benchmarks

PS
i noticed that customer feedback and the windows update was not removed
Does not work with Radio 1.64.08.21 also when I tried livecam when I logged in and it shows the options and information the program closes by itself, one more thing that I notice it's that my signal bars shows 3G but on the home bar shows only AT&T but not 3G AT&T
The graphics test looks good.

i'm willing to test your beta rom (at&t user in Puerto RIco) if you could pm the password i will be glad to test it

Yes. But file system index looks a bit low compare to WM6.0 rom (~175-180). Is that normal?
Can you pm me the password as well? thanks.
If you wan anyone else, I would love to beta test your ROM. I still have one of your wizard ROMs on my 8125!
I am with AT&T (old Bellsouth DCS area) in South Carolina. I am currently HardSPLed and Security Unlocked, running the ATT ROM from yesterday (with it's radio, but not stuck). I was thinking of cooking my own ROM soon, but with you working one, I may not have to! I always loved your Wizard releases.
I was actually going to flash another ROM this morning, but will wait until I hear back before trying anything else. I am very optimistic about a shogun ROM!
If you need someone else to test, I would love to take a look

wifi calling?

Does the M Mix 2S support Wifi calling?
I'm in the UK and can't find anything about it.
i cant answer that but you can find a wifi calling setting in the settings if you search for it. Unfortunately it doesnt do anything as far as I can tell
Need some input...
So, I normally don't give a hoot about wifi calling, as the signal is normally super strong in my area. However, we have moved into a new building and now I desperately need VoWiFi.
This thread for the Poco F1, they were able to at least get the settings enabled on the device by editing the build.prop. I posed the question to see if they were on MIUI to get these working, but have not heard back. I have tried to edit the build.prop file on my own but essentially just end up with a paperweight at the end, having to wipe system and restore properly.
Hoping someone else may be able to provide some input on this. I am more than willing to flash my device multiple times in order to test this out. Anyone game for at least getting the toggles enabled to see if it works?

I have the options in settings, however the radios are disabled on the phone. If you dial *#*#4636#*#* - It will pull up the phone information window. If you click on phone information, you'll see all the radios greyed out and you cannot toggle them to enable.
What I am attempting is to edit the build.prop like they did in the Poco F1 thread to get the radios toggled to the on position. I am just so unqualified in that field that I need assistance, but willing to sacrifice my time and possibly soft bricking device several times for testing.
Edit: Been trying to upload this for ages. Gave up, here is the image url...

I don't want to clog this thread for now, but so far I have been making progress. I am also running AOSP, not MIUI, so that is a huge deal if I can manage to work it out.

Was able to get the radios enabled, now I just need to get my PC to recognize the phone/com port in QPST. This thread has the guide for Poco F1. If I am able to get it done, I will create a guide in our section as well, of course full credits go to @der_Kief for this. Cross some fingers folks.

Edit: I was unable to get the device to work on WiFi calling on commercial-TMO settings following the guide above. With that said however they have all the US based carriers as options to enable the wifi calling slot. If anyone want to try it out, it may be worth a shot. I was able to get just as far running AOSP and MIUI, same behavior. VoLTE works great doing this, and at least on my money saving MVNO, I wasn't able to get it going. Someone on an actual T-Mobile plan may get theirs to work, I'm on MetroPCS.
try this

it worked for me
Did you do the exact same steps but in a mix2s and it worked? I'm tempted

After disabling carrier check via a special code and making sure your provider has the service enabled it works. At least for the primary SIM.
Now if anyone know whether dual SIM WiFi calling is possible please enlighten us!

Unlimited hotspot.

I may have stumbled upon an unlimited hotspot method.
After rooting my tmobile OP7 pro, I edited systen/etc/apns-conf.xml from this thread.
After editing the file, it seems corrupted and I did not have data service.
I manually added a tmobile apn with dun and now i have unlimited hotspot.

Has no one been interested to try unlimited tethering?
lol ? or you could just edit the file properly. I just edited it for TMobile unlimited hotspot for you. It works great for me. I am hoping you have the same luck. This file comes from OOS 9.5.11 and is edited by me. Place the file in /System/etc
So we are talking about unlimited data usage?
What benefits can this bring? Usually I change the phone every 3 years, because industry growth rates do not allow changing every year. However, oneplus 7 is so good that it changed its 5 version ahead of schedule

Possibly. Try it and report back. The worst that will happen is you will not have data connection when you reboot and you can restore the original file to get it back.

hey thanks for posting your find in the forum i am hoping someone reads this and is willing to lend me a hand figuring out to to get mt hotspot working on my oneplus 7 pro, back in the days it was much easyier with the Wifi Tethering App, however, now im with Metro PCS and im unable to change my APN, can someone walk me through on where to go to add the DUN and get my hot spot working? ROMs with Verizon network support

I've never found a list. Carbon ROM is the only one that works for me with my Verizon MVNO. The Dev explained to me that Verizon is a "black box" and developers have to best guess to make things work.
Several years ago I moved from Sprint (CDMA like Verizon) to then Metro PCS (GSM) when I first came to XDA because of the incompatibility of many roms. Because most the world uses GSM... I would ask someone who knows exactly what to do to make Verizon work and try and master whatever that may be. Back in the day (NexusS4G days, Nexus 5) people who used Sprint, we had a zip we'd flash at the end of our installation and it would set the proper apns needed for us to have data. But I believe there is more to it with Verizon....
I have a OnePlus 6t now and I see many people with same issues and they have no data. Something with the phone not being able to read the sim card from what I've heard... I sent someone in 6t forums directions on how to swap apns-conf.xml and he said it didn't work and told me it was something else ...
If ypu want you can try this:
Save your apns-conf.xml located in your /system/product/etc/ while you are on Carbon rom and have working data. Then when you flash another rom delete the two existing files that are in the rom that has no data. So delete both the apns-conf.xml located in /system/product/etc/ and also located in your /product/etc/ and replace only the one in /system/product/etc/ with your working apns-conf.xml from Carbon rom that you had data working on. Then set permissions on the one you pasted in to 0644 using root explorer or whatever root file manager you use. After that go to settings/networks and internet/mobile networks/access point names/ and select the three dot and select "reset to default." If this is indeed an APN issue this will fix it and give you working data. Give it 2-3 minutes after you reset the APN to default. If you see LTE/5G pop up in your status bar, reboot and you'll be good from then on. That is, "if" this is an APN issue. If not then at least you tried something. I used this method MANY times on different devices and different carriers over the years and it always worked for me when I have no data after installing a rom. I'll attach some pics of permissions 0644 and all to this post. Credit for this goes to spaceminer where I first discovered this apn xml data fix.

From what I've researched so far it seems the issue only really relates to A11 and will be fixed when OOS is out of closed beta. Verizon is terrible about relinquishing control for devices they don't even own anymore. I've tried a few A10 roms and haven't really had any trouble. Supposedly KangOS got verizon data working on A11 but when I flashed it wasn't working, so maybe an older build.

Other than the Battery status LED, is everything else working fine? Camera's got good performance, stable enough to use as main ROM?
When charging, it does not show the charging status. During installation, it did not automatically take the settings of the SIM card operator. When you press the mobile network switch through the notification curtain, the button returns to the off state (the Internet is working normally). There is also something wrong with power consumption and performance in games. And so the firmware is good!
Can I flash this over the pixel experience android 11 rom
I'm on Pixel Ecperience as well. Can I clean flash it coming from that rom? Or Do I need to install the stock rom again and then flash this?
As no one answered the last two questions...
My phone was on Android 11 Pixel Experience. Rebooted to twrp. Wipe everything. Format data. Connect to pc and transfer the Firmware. Flashed Firmware. Flashed Rom. As for now, everything is working. Start testing it as a daily rom.

Make sure you've got the correct APN settings installed. I had to set mine up manually
the battery drains quite quickly, lasts approximately 2:30 hours on screen.
Thanks a lot. Factory resetted my arrow 11, flashed this, format data and factory reset again and voila. Had to input mobile details by hand but that's ok, now all is good. Performance and stability fine, battery consumption ok. Keep it coming
excuse me, but may I ask what will be the device name after installation?
I just flashed the rom.
facebook it verifies the login even though i'm logged in it still reloads and tries to verify the login.
it doesn't seem to recognize trusted devices.

I have a similar experience. On top of that, the phone will turn off when reaching a low battery level. I wonder why some people have this issue and others don't. We're all using the same firmware..

Doesn't depend on 'the same firmware', everyone here adjusts his device differently, you find exactly this in every thread. Perhaps have a look at my post above, i come from arrow 11 and had no problems at all, e.g. charged yesterday morning, still have 63% and get at least 12h of permanently being on the net, downloading music, many times now. No stops, no reboot, no sudden death. It's an absolutely stable system - 4 me.

I can easily reach 63% battery in two hours while doing much, much less than that.
This is bomb, thanks a lot! The camera app crashes as soon I switch to slow motion mode, I'm unable to use it. Anyone experiencing the same?
Has anyone rooted and managed to pass SafetyNet?
Great battery life here too
