How to change the battery? - LG Watch Urbane 2

Hi
The battery on my watch has "bulged". Does anybody know of a guide explaining how to change it? When the back is removed, all that can be seen is the next 'black covered layer' with no visible screws or clips...
Any ideas?

I found this, although it's for the original but may be similar:

And you can get a battery on EBay.

Back-up Battery

I've got a O2 XDA, the main battery is fully charged (green led constant) but it still shows backup as 25% CHARGED. PLease provide some insight.
Thanks.
If you leave it on charge overnight and it is still showing 25% then it would seem the backup battery will soon need replacing. Go to this link for the location of the backup battery. I think you will need to send this to the authorised repair centre otherwise you will invalidate warranty by opening the phone and breaking the security seal. Why they design a phone with a battery that isnt externally accessible is a bit dumb or maybe its another money spinner for the repair shop.
http://wiki.xda-developers.com/wiki/HimalayaHardwareOverview
Thanks for that. Its actually a Wallaby, does any one know where the battery is located, and what battery is it?
It will still need taking apart to locate the battery unfortunately. You will need a small flat blade screwdriver and a T6 torx driver.
Dunno Where You Get that From?!?!??!?! The XDA I has NO Backup Battery and If it did it's Attached to the Back of the MAIN Battery? Come on Cruisin! Didn't you have an XDA 1? sometime in your life?
Yes Collins I have stripped many xda's, and he will need to take the xda apart to access the battery, I dont think I said there was a backup except when referring to xda 2 which was not what the guy was after unfortunately. I read "O2 XDA" as "XDA 2", I was also thrown by the 25% charged statement becuase every xda 1 that I have had even with wm2003 doesnt show any backup in the settings.
When you open the xda using the T6 torx and small screwdriver you will find that the battery is firmly attached to the backplate of the xda, if you lever up one corner and then apply a little force it will lift up. Having ascertained that you have an xda1, any reading you are getting under your power settings backup battery is a glitch, if the main battery is showing good then you should ignore the other part. Which rom are you using?

Backup Battery

Well, i changed the housing of my Qtek S100, from a scratchy grey one to a Black one, but since it took to much time, and my backup battery was not in good conditions, it died, anyone knows what type of battery it is? dont want to open it to check and then go out to buy it. Anyone?
NEvermind, just realized that its rechargeble also.

Helppppp! My phones screens colors are faded/ inverted...

My phone isnt broken, it still operates but my screens colors are gone... id hope there is something i can do other than a warranty exchange because i have hard spl'ed my phone and this is just a huge mess! =( please help! I didnt drop it in water or drop it at all, it was in my pocket, i took it out... and now everything looks faded and washed out =( it slowly looks like its coming back, but i dont think itll ever be the same =(
I'm no expert, take out the battery and SIM card..blow on the phone, go to McDonalds, grab a 5 piece Nugget and some BBQ sauce...eat the McNuggets and then put the battery back in along with the SIM...charge the battery to 100% and turn it on and see what happens.
Sounds like an LCD issue. Can you post a picture? Unfortunately, every white screen washout I've seen has ended with a return.
See this: http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=332236
Out of the three, two needed to be replaced. There may be some hope with removing the battery though, but the guy that had the luck left it out over a whole vacation.
It's better to return if still under warranty
I have similar problem with HTC 8125... i know you have a Tilt. my suggestion is to return it if it's under warranty. you can reverse back to the original settings. just check out other posts.
same problem
has anyone figured out how to solve this problem? i have the same issue with my htc tilt. however, the screen toggles between the "washed out" screen and the normal beautiful screen. i have dismantled the device several times using Mike's instructions, but i cant figure out which connectors are out of place please please help me out. i can't afford another screen/phone right now

ohh sucks..yeah i got my 8125 off ebay and it crapped out on me like 4months later....tried to replaced screen and nothing...
i guess your only option would be to try and get a new screen or something
Washed out screen
I got the same problem took it to AT&T and replaced it. But what worries me now is that I have changed my mobile 3 times already and this is the fourth one. Every time it was a different issue. I wonder once I run out of warranty, which happens towards the end of this year then what? I wish there is some other option of extended warranty or anything that can be taken now.
Fix the screen. Here is directions on how to accomplish that: http://www.mindsofwisemen.com/fileso/other/ReplacingTheLCDonaKaiser.pdf

[Q] Nexus 4 LG model battery replacement london service

Dear friends,
my nexus 4 is 1 1/2 years old now. while its a great phone the battery now dies too fast. its hardly few hours. always remembering charging is an issue. also the extra portable power has to be used so much frequently.
Its now out of warranty. as one year has passed. i cannot for sure change battery myself. Pls let me know is there any service repair center in your experience where i can get this battery replaced for nexus 4.
I am based out of london and if its in london the better.
kindly advice thank you
I have seen that you can replace the battery yourself if you are careful enough, there are tutorials with step-by-step pictures.. As for the battery, an Optimus G battery will also work, but you must make sure the battery is authentic; I have read that there are lots of counterfeit ones offered online.

hello
I replaced my n4 battery last week with a battery claiming to be genuine from ebay uk.
it was quite easy the tricky part is the adhesive holding the battery down its pretty strong stuff.
When I bought the battery I didn't know if it actually was genuine or not, but after fitting it it appears to work as I remember my n4 working when I first had it.
I would recommend you do it yourself one other thing if the phone has never been opened, the clips for the rear half of the case are difficult to undo, so take care when prying open the back.

Hi,
I live in Holland and I want to buy the original battery.
How is it holding up?
Are you getting more SOT than before?
Thanks in advance!
Hey guys, I ran into some issues after replacing my battery. I bought this one, it look identical to the original I think.
After replacing it, my phone gets the red LED light if I try to hold Power to turn it on. The only way to turn it on is by entering fastboot mode (Power + Vol Down).
The phone would not reboot itself on software commands (ie. rebooting from recovery menu or "fastboot reboot"), the only way is to enter fastboot mode when the phone is off. Secondly, the battery icon does have the lightning charging sign, however the status said it's "Not charging". There is no green charging light. Right now the battery percentage is decreasing as I use the phone.
I am able to transfer files to the phone if I connect it to the computer, I have to assume it is charging even though the phone doesn't update the battery info. I am running fully factory stock firmware, Android 5.0.1.
I wonder if this is an issue with the battery, or if I need to completely drain it or some extra step I need to perform? Thanks.
Nevermind, it was a faulty battery and I'm getting an exchange. I guess they stored it for a so long.

I don't think it's the official one..
you can buy the original one here: http://www.spareslg.com/bateria-lg-e960-nexus-4-lg-optimus-g-e975-eac61898601.html
My N4's battery was starting to expand. I noticed it when the Qi orb charger stopped working and the glass was lifting up on the front left side. I did the replacement myself and it was not too hard. I would suggest watching the YouTube videos a few times over. As for tools, I borrowed the screwdrivers from my office, guitar pics and a hair dryer from my wife. As for how long it took, it was about an hour. You will need a lot of patience with opening the phone and prying out the old one. As for the battery, I figured I would get what I paid for, so I avoided the $10 ones on Amazon and Ebay as there were too many bad reviews there. I was able to buy a brand new (non OEM) one from Radio Shack online and ship it too the store down the street.

I can now get 24hrs up time with light use (stock 5.0.1).
My N4 works great, and he has 2 years old LOL.
Battery works great also :3

Battery replacement issues--any ideas?

Hey guys, just a quick question. After dealing with very low battery life over the past couple months, I decided to be brave and attempt to change out the battery myself today. The disassembly was relatively straightforward and I was able to pop the battery in, reconnect the cables and seal everything back up. The problem is that I can't seem to get the watch to boot up no matter what I do. Strangely enough, I'm able to place the watch on the charger and the display shows the normal charging percentage and I was able to charge it on the stand until it reached 100%. Other than that, I can't figure out a way to turn the watch on. I've tried it on and off the charger, connected to my PC and adapter and nothing seems to work. I've tried holding each button separately and together and short and long presses on the buttons. The replacement battery seems to be the same as the old unit. Is there something in terms of the steps I should take or hardware considerations after a battery change that I might be missing?
Any input would be greatly appreciated!

Oops, should have included my model number with my first post. I have a SM-770 (Classic) and actually saw those videos prior to attempting the swap. I haven't used the service manuals for troubleshooting so I'll have to take a look through them today and see if I can make any sense of it. Thanks!
1.
Service Manuals are here for SM-R760 and SM-R770:

2.
I've bought dead SM-R770 from Ebay...
Which not power on...
So 1 Reapir attempt was to buy new Battery...
So I have also new battery.
But no luck... SM-R770 not powers on...
I have not tried in Charger... no idea why...
I thought it is dead... as I soldered also wires etc...
3.
My suggestion...
Take your old battery and try again...
To be sure not something forgotten... or damaged...
Btw, you removed foil from contacts?
I would laugh if Gear S3 can work without battery... and wireless charger spent enough power to power on Display...
Best Regrads
There are two connectors on the mobo that the battery cable needs to make contact with. The problem it doesnt have a snap-in design so the cable freely moves around on 1 axis which the cable loops around a piece of plastic protruding from the mobo bracket. If you can figure out a way to secure it please let me know. Im going to try soldering it next as 3m tape, epoxy, gorilla glue havent worked.
Did you find a way to solve this? I'm facing the same issue.
I just replaced my battery. It charges and displays when I press the top button on the side, but will not boot. Anyone know what the deal is? Please help!
Same here
Followed the guises and replaced battery to fix 1 hour battery life issue. After changing it doesn't register the lower (power) button although it does register the top (back) button. Been sitting through 100's of forum pages and seems to be a major issue when changing batteries. Samsung's still won't even acnoledge there's an issue and says that even for those that haven't even opened the case yet it's broken due to neglect or possible water damage. Well I hope someone figures out solution soon.
These all sound like connector issues. I found that the connectors are a bit finicky I use a small piece of plastic and pushed down to make sure all connections were firmly seated and I had no issues.
Hey, i'm facing the exact same issue after replacing my battery, it charges but won't turn on, did you find any solution since your request ??
I had to replace my battery in my S3 classic, because the S3 switched off only a few minutes after taking it from the charger. I bought a new battery for Euro 15 in Holland and i used the description on this page for the change:
https://repedia.de/reparaturanleitungen/gear-s3-frontier-zerlegen-zusammenbauen/ (in german)
Removing and installing the pcb with the 2 switches is not simple. I had to heat this part a little bit to remove it. I was lucky and my S3 switch on afterwards without any problems.
