[Discontinued][ROM] [S8+ All_Carriers_Stock_Deodexed_Rooted_SM-G955U_AQI6] - Verizon Samsung Galaxy S8+ ROMs, Kernels, Recoveri

Development Of This Rom Has Stopped!
Your phone needs to be rooted before installing this rom. Root for te S8+ can be found here Thanks @elliwigy and all who made it happen
This will be a rom with system root so magisk or supersu hide or any root checking apps will not work
These UFirm Carrier Roms are so big I chose to use the flash system.img.ext4 first method in Flashfire followed by a partial rom zip so I could get all the multicarrier stuff to fit. This way also insures that all symlinks and permissions are correct
Instructions
Download G955USQS1AQI6 Firmware
Download SM_G955U_AQI6_DEODEXED_ROOTED.zip
Copy AP_G955USQS1AQI6_CL11982677_QB15018369_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT_meta.tar.md5 file from firmware to phone internal storage
Copy SM_G955U_AQI6_DEODEXED_ROOTED.zip Rom to phone
In FlashFire choose add zip and choose SM_G955U_AQI6_DEODEXED_ROOTED.zip Click Mount System
In FlashFire choose add firmware and choose AP_G955USQS1AQI6_CL11982677_QB15018369_REV00_user_low_ship_MULTI_CERT_meta.tar.md5 Select system.img.ext4 and persist.img.ext4 DO NOT SELECT BOOT OR RECOVER IMAGES
In FlashFire choose add wipe and move wipe to top of flashing order
Make sure Inject SuperSu IS NOT CHECKED
Flash order should be
__Wipe
__AP Firmware
__ Rom Zip
Click Flash

How do I root my phone I tried the method here it failed...
Also how do I flash ME7 if I cant install a custom recovery?
Ok so whenever I try flashing CWM to root my phone it says it works in Odin BUT
The phone wont boot in CWM. instead what happens is it says something about command error and takes me to the default Android recovery....
I read that there were some updates made by Samsung which made these methods not work.
I found the below tutorial which works for the GT-I9500
http://www.ibtimes.co.uk/articles/47...-jellybean.htm
Will this work on the SHV-E300L since as the post says that some of the GT-I9500 recoveries work on the Korean Variants?

buhohitr said:
This is the original firmware and you must flash it using ODIN. This include rom/bootloader/modem/kernel (everything), it will also wipe your twrp recovery also. After flashed this it will bring your phone back to factory stock. If you're thinking something else don't flash it and just post what you want and people here can help.

If you already have strong signal and no issue with data drop, then you don't need to upgrade, otherwise yes you could upgrade and possible it may cure your poor signal...hopefully. In my case, this new radio did nothing to my phone signal.

[Guide][Receive OTA after root][keep apps/data][GT-I9500][5.0.1]

a lot of users are having this problem and if you want to receive an OTA you have to flash the stock unrooted firmware that will cause lose of data.
this guide will show you how to receive OTA again without losing your stuff
This works on GT-I9500 ONLY! (Lollipop 5.0.1 Recovery)
This also should work on any other model, but you have to replace the recovery with your model!
Steps:
1- Go to SuperSU and scroll down to "Full unroot" then reboot.
2- Download This file to PC and extract it.
3- Go to download mode by pressing the power key + home key + volume down key at the same time, then press volume up.
4- Flash the file via Odin (AP) or (PDA)
go to check the system status, you will find it Official
you can now receive OTA.
Q&A:
What is OTA (Over The Air)? Its an update which you can receive over wifi or mobile data.
What do i get from OTA? Well, if you root your device you wont be able to receive an update again, unless from flashing firmware via Odin.
- Why im still on custom status? Because you modified your system.
- What kind of modifying? Installing busybox, editing or deleting or changing any app or file system.
and some times xposed.
- How do i restore the old app? You can restore them by flashing firmware or by restoring Nandroid backup.
- Then what is the use of your guide? Well my guide helps in first place the rooted not the modded onces.
and always do Nandroid of the original system apps+data
you are still having your apps, data, pics, vids, etc...
you can root again at anytime.
check my thread for rooting if you want
im not responsible for any bricks
thank you...

At some point the update maybe canceled, because the update checks for the apps before the installation, always do a backup of your phone then remove what you want, after you want to update just restore the system folder from the backup

Unable to update to 12.1

So today I saw that the 12.1 update is downloaded and asking me to install it. But, when I do try installing it the screen is stuck at the Cyanogen Recovery.
The usual options in recovery screen are displayed, why isn't the OS updating?
FYI - My OPO is rooted and also has TWRP recovery installed. I also tried disabling the Update Cyanogen Recovery option but the same option.
Any assistance would be great

You're not going to be able to downgrade to the lollipop bootloader. The MM firmware you are running is rev 3, the lollipop firmware is rev 2. You can't downgrade revisions.
If you want to go back to lollipop then you may be able to flash just boot and system images, but ymmv.

You've got me well confused now. Why on earth did you delete sbin? Also by CM do you mean you had CyanogenMod installed?
If that is the case then it may be that CM has corrupted your EFS partition.
This is not the first time that someones build of CM has done this.
Did you have custom recovery installed?

Ah I see.
Try flashing the repair firmware:
http://firmware.gem-flash.com/index.php?a=browse&b=file-info&id=7838
Be aware this may wipe your internal storage.

I think you should try factory resetting your device via recovery.
