With dual sim is it possible to have one sim on silent and one sim not silent? - Xiaomi Mi 5s Plus Questions & Answers

Hi folks,
I've had a look and hopefully I didn't miss any threads but I was wondering if it's possible to have two sims in my Mi5s Plus and have one of them set to ring and one of them always on silent. I'm running Revolution Remix currently but would be willing to swap ROMs for this feature alone. Or if there's a good app out there that would do it (paid app is fine doesn't have to be free) that would be good as well.
Any help would be appreciated.
Cheers

[Q] Some questions on the Galaxy SII Plus

Hi all,
Sorry if this isn't the thread to post to, but I came accross this thread and feels like this is the place to post any SII Plus questions, correct if I'm doing something wrong.
I just bought a Samsung GS II Plus. Opinions, was it a good buy? I bought it for €179,99, as my budget was a bit tight. But there are several quad core available right now, especially the Wiko, which seem really nice.
I decided based on screen size (5" just feels huge!) and internal storage space (8Gb, 4 available to the user, which is quite disappointing). And of course, the price, which seemed like a good one, altough the specs aren't the most recent ones.
After buying it, used with Android ver 4.1.2 for a whole day and upgraded it to 4.2.2 as it was available.
Q1: What happened to the bubble lockscreen notifications with this update? They were replaced by a new kind of notifications that have absolutely no functionality at all.
Q2: Is it possible to have the bubble notifications back?
Q3: Will a Kitkat release be available to this phone?
Any answers you might provide are welcome.
TIA

You can change the lockscreen effect from the settings About the kitkat-you can try some custom roms bcoz i'm not really sure that we will receive official Kitkat
It's not the effect, but the notifications for unread SMS ans missed calls.

There are now many posts on the front page of this forum about this apparently being the case. (Just if you missed it)

[Q] Dual sim android phone recommendations

Hi all, would appreciate if anyone can give me recommendations for a dual sim android phone.
Here are the main things I care about, more or less in order of importance:
1. Great battery life (or ok battery life with removable battery and spare battery readily available to buy)
2. Powerful/fast - lots of memory, fast processor, preferably up-to-date android OS
3. Pre-loaded with android play store and upgradeable (if I understand correctly some of the Chinese dual sim phones have issues here)
4. Decent camera & resolution
That's about it, not asking for much then
I care less about weight, thickness, screen size (although less than 4" would be a pain), funky features & bloatware etc.
I've looked at a few choices like samsung galaxy grand 2, huawei g700, htc one dual sim, but reviews seem mixed and most seem to do badly in one or more of the above.
My only experience with dual sim was the samsung galaxy grand 1, and I didn't like it because I thought the battery life was pretty bad, underpowered and screen quality surprisingly awful.
If you know of any phones that fit the bill or you're using one that you think would be good please let me know.
Thanks!
Hmm, maybe what I'm after doesn't exist.
If anyone is using a dual sim android phone please let me know your experience so I can make some choice.
Anyone using the samsung grand 2? If that's like the one with better battery life and runs smoothly might go for that
The Best SmartFone available in Its Range is Gionee Elife E6.
You can have a try at that..!
Thanks, I'll check it out

Note 2 would be great, 3 even better, but seems they're released in China only

You could consider galaxy S5, or S4, or HTC Desire 816, I wouldn't recommend a no name brand even thought it might seem a deal price - specifications, notice how all got 4.2.2 Android and will probably stay that way for good, too many compromises, I know from experience..
Purchase the Videocon A24... Thats a superb phone for you.. And also for me

[Q] Best Customization on OnePlus One?

Hi Guys,
I recently switched from a Nexus 4 to a Galaxy S5, and while I love the intelligent options, various sensors, customization, etc. built out-of-the-box.. I somehow am not getting a great feeling.. maybe because of the Touchwiz UI etc.
I also have an option right now to order a OnePlus One, so can you please tell me if it's worth switching?
Honest opinion please..
Features that I really like on S5:
- Single Handed Use (shrinks the screen real-time to a smaller size on one side)
- Dual Camera (allows using both front and rear cameras simultaneously)
Let me know guys.. Tomorrow I make the final call!
Thanks,
J
Oneplus hands down over S5…

one handed mode is possible via an XPosed module. it works just fine and is really a great asset.
cheers
you can find a lot of customization in xposed

Two different phones paired

Hi there.
Will there ever be an option to have 2 different phones paired? I have an iPhone from my work and an Android for my private live. I want to have them both paired (not at the same time)
If this option is never gonna be available, is it possible to script it (rooted)?
Thanks!
Check here http://www.tizenexperts.com/2017/03/samsung-gear-manager-updated-now-supports-auto-switch-function/
your reply does not answer the the question i too was wondering the same , if anyone can help please
I want to buy another smartwatch to replace my good old Gear 2 and there is a lot of choice on the market now.
But if the S3 is able to pair to two phones (not at the same time obviously), the Gear S3 would become my favorite watch to buy.
So can anyone confirm if it works ?

buying suggestion?

Hi.
I was thinking of buying a v50. I live in Sweden (EU) and wonder if you have any suggestion on what version to buy,
if it is at all a good idea.
It is not important for me to have a later android version, I would like it to be responsive and have few bugs.
Which android version is best for this phone given the above?
Also I would like to use it rooted. Is it a lot of problems with a rooted phone?
Which variant is best rooted?
Why I would like it rooted is to use a call recording app without problems.
