Nickel, it's mediatek forum. I'm not stupid man

No it isn't. This is China beta. Not global, not stable. Why trick everyone? WE are not stupid man.
Also you have breach Xiaomi rules for distributing closed beta links. Don't really care, but just saying.
This is BETA CHINA, everyone should be aware.

Maybe he's too excited for it. LoL.

I'm afraid both OP and the rest here are wrong. The posted link is from 8.5.6 China STABLE. It is not global, but it is stable. It's in the official Downloads page from Xiaomi. There is also a version of this ROM made by Xiaomi.eu
Greetings

8.5.6.0 China Stable was officially released yesterday. Xiaomi.eu have a 8.5.6.0 build but it's a day before this release, so is likely based on the Beta.
The official stable release could be the same as the beta, though. I'm downloading both now to do a diff and confirm this.
EDIT: Yes, the Xiaomi.eu stable 8.5.6.0 from 2 days ago is indeed the same as the official china stable.

Quick question regarding above mentioned version and issue I am having. Does 8.5.6.0 come with nougat? Because even after updating to it I am still on MM so I am kinda lost. I thought it should have upgraded to 7.0
Thanks for other info tho, hope you can help

Nano ROM
Debloated Customized and Inspired
Hello honori user
Since the Galaxy S3 i build Custom ROMs, but i'm since then not known here.. Everyone that use my builds know, the ROM is almost completely debloated. Unfortunately Im not a fan of the whole content they build in, although less than others. Before i changed to huawei i had an S3 like mentioned before, and a Z2 from sony. Im here since mid of june, and appreciated so far with a very stable and bugfree P9. At this stage i start here with my projects for all users like to flash custom roms. My support is highly 2-3 years or until EOL from Honor/Huawei.

Will this work or have any support for the L04 US model?
is this a modified stock rom, or is built up from the ground (source) - if so, could you post a link to your sources?

The modaco ROM on the modaco website forums is for L09 and was flashed on L04 and works perfect. It's in the honor 8 thread on modaco website. So this ROM should flash with no issues. I maybe wrong but just my 2 cents.

It doesn't say anything about nougat. And if you consider that mi2s is going to get miui 9, a phone that definitely not gonna get nougat is in the same list with redmi 4 prime you can't assume anything, only that is going to get miui 9.All these sites that reproduce the fact that is going to get nougat are making the same mistake you guys did assuming miui 9 = nougat.Don't have high hopes, we may get android 7 but for now we can't be sure.

Still can't see that they mentioned MIUI 9 will be on nougat based on your link
Going to say it right now, I don't think we'll ever get official Nougat. Xiaomi always cripples their best "bang for the buck" products. We have a very well built phone with great performance and battery, having proper updates increases the phone's value, which is something they don't want to do right now when they released newer, more expensive or otherwise less valuable alternatives (like the 4x).
MIUI9 will be launched 26th July!
First devices will be MI6 and HMNote4X... Other devices will be released in batches later..
Note: Its change of MIUI version, not Android version..!
Every device with our MIUI8.6 will get our MIUI9 also..!

Thanks for the clarification, this is really confusing!
Anyway, I see the Indian version has different camera as the China/Global version. Will there probably be compatibility issues say for folks who flash a ROM developed on an Indian version to a Global version in the future?

You don't need to worry about. Devs will add support to RN5 China/Global as well. RR and LIneage devs already added cross-compatibility. They just differ in camera, other hardware is same

But remeber. LineageOS and RR are universal for all WHYRED version. I'm not entirely sure about official MIUI builds. China and Global are compatible. That's for sure. Flashing China or Global MIUI build on Indian version and vice versa might cause camera app to FC and break camera functionality (at least flashing Indian Android 7.1.2 based MIUI on China model did that). Somebody please correct me if I'm wrong

magisk module for enable AI

I just found this on Miui forum app, and everyone confirmed that is working fine. It's not made by me, and they don't know who created this. But credits go for this dude.
Just flash this on TWRP or magisk. On the thread that I get, confirmed to be working on Oreo yet so far, on miui mainly. Custom ROMs, I got no ideia. Need to be tested

This module if you have international version, that don't have AI option on camera. It makes the option available on miui or any Oreo rom.
