We’re really excited to announce that we are releasing our Nougat flavour of Paranoid Android. We have a lot in store - with a mix of both features & improvements.
First & foremost, we have moved our code base to be fully CAF based. This brings many improvements to your device. The key improvement here is that Qualcomm hardware is better tuned on the CAF base and with our additional optimisations we can provide a smooth and fluid user experience that will let you enjoy using your device without any lags.
On first launch you’ll notice a clean setup with a beautiful wallpaper from Hampus Olsson who’s teamed up with us again and created several beautiful pieces of artwork. For those of you who don’t know, Hampus is a multi-disciplinary artist whose work stands itself and we’re glad to have him onboard. We have also added several new features and made improvements to the UI of the system that we believe would enhance the overall experience.
Pie
We’ve been working hard on redesigning this key feature of our portfolio and we’re really happy with how it has turned out. The whole design has been reworked and it fits in well with the overall feel of Google’s Material Design. This gives you the opportunity to use more gesture based control for navigating, rather than using the standard Navigation Bar at the bottom of your screen. Expect improvements and additions in the future.
Color Engine
We’re proud to announce our newest feature - Color Engine. Color Engine allows you to seamlessly change the colors of your device to be in Light, Dark (Pixel) and Black modes with a variety of accent colors to choose from. This makes changing the theme of your device really quick without having to install any extra packages on your device.
Major features:
- Reworked Pie
- Color engine
- Immersive mode
- Buttons customization (including navigation bar)
- On the spot controls (OTS)
Minor features:
- SafetyNet Compatibility
- Battery/Notification LED control
- Recent tasks locking
- Battery icon customization
- Google now page in default launcher
- Substratum (OMS) support (Color engine will be deactivated if you use Substratum)
- Quick pulldown
- Various performance and battery improvements
- Display Burn-in protection (for OLED screens)
- More to explore
Device specific features for titan:
- Support for 3 button inline headset remote control.
Note: Custom kernels are explicitly unsupported and will cause issues
unless they state that they are AOSPA compatible or AOSPA based!

The rom is very fast, and the 3 buttons headset support is amazing, thank you

Re rooted phone
First time I've rooted a phone a flashed a custom rom. Generally pleased except for the fact that the phone has become unrooted again and trying to install supersu causes endless reboot so am a bit confused at the moment..

That worked like a dream, many thanks!

Thanks for the development of the rom, it works fine on my bike G xt 1072, I just wanted to ask if possible, how to put sound on charging devices in the setup I found in other sounds the voice in charge but it does not work.
Thanks again for the really good rom.

You are an absolute legend mate!!! I've been waiting so long for PA for thea, lol. Will flash asap when I get back from holiday. Once again - thanks .

New update is up, just generic PA updates

Great work! (Very) minor bug: though charging is the default USB config, nothing is checked by default in the Select USB config notification. Also, when flashing opengapps and setting up google account info for the first time, it crashes once.

Empty folders being deleted.
Something minor I have noticed, when I create folders myself to put pictures or music in to be organized they seem to get deleted automatically after several hours if they remain empty. Not sure if this is a bug or supposed to happen? I've certainly never had that before.
Thanks.

hi, dear contributors guys, I'm wondering how to build MOTO G LTE Paranoid Android 7.1.2 source code. Now I'v got the common AOSPA (7.1.1) baseline code, MOTO G LTE device tree, Common tree and Kernel tree codes. Do you have any guideline about compiling these codes together ? A lot thanks to you in advance.

Hi gregor160300, thanks for your feedback and help.
But when I build, some errors happened (see below): it seems that I need to create local_manifests which include MOTO G device specific source tree. Is that right? If yes, could you share me one local_manifest file.
Thanks a lot!

Did you manage to build?

Hi!
I've just flashed the rom, and it keeps crashing during the setup wizard. I choose a language, it asks whether I want to copy data from a previous phone or start anew. No matter what I choose, the wizard crashes. Rebooting and reflashing haven't solved the problem.
Thanks in advance.

@gregor160300
Thanks for your work, that we can use PA also at Moto G!! will you update to the latest PA 7.3.1?
Thanks for answer!!

Haha...was expecting such a question...Don't worry, not a rookie in these stuff......we have testers when we do not own a device...have a peek here: http://stats.mfunz.com) ...we might not have testers for this device, but certainly a strong user base for the other moto_msm8960 devices...
Nice to see Mokee on Photon Q. I like the lunar calendar feature on lockscreen. Will definitely give it a try. Thanks for sharing it here.
Really nice Rom ;]
The Multiwindow is great, but like all roms above 4.1.1 the lapdock not work :/
Latest update
I'm using Mokee ROM almost since the first release and totally satisfied with it.Thanks for everyone who cooperated on it!
Today I've tried to update my current release version (20140630) to the latest available (20140801) but I couldn't install it. It states that Photon Q (asanti) not supported any more. I checked the package and realized that our device is excluded from supported list.
Is there any chance that we will get updates for this awesome Mokee ROM in the near future?

Look for the new msm8960_jbbl device. Support dropped due to cm only supporting the new kk bootloader but now they've re-introduced support for the jb bootloader and so the photon Q is supported again.
Just tried to upgrade from 140630 to 140816 using the complete ROM zip file
however, it gives the error message: This package is for "moto_msm8960,xt907,scorpion_mini,smq,xt926,vanquish" devices; this is a "asanti_c".
Is that support dropped for Photon Q?

Assuming they are following CM's device trees, after July 1st the moto_msm8960 builds will NOT work for the Photon Q.
Some testing
I downloaded the jbbl version (from here) and I am going to test a few things, most notably:
if the USB debugging feature can never be enabled again after disabling it once (had this issue with many 4.4-based ROMS)
if GPS works or not
if debugging logs are left enabled (e.g. all keystrokes/taps are recorded in a log file, although it should be disabled in the released ROM)
if it asks for device pairing confirmation when using ADB (this should be default on all 4.4 ROMS)
keyboard backlight (if stays ON forever)
stability (e.g. no random reboots)
I am also able to compile a ROM, so maybe I will give it a try one of these days, and I am definitively willing to help more with testing and hunting bugs (if somebody enables me to)
Thanks again for all the efforts guys!
With the release of the HISTORY version, development for MK44.4 has finally ended. A new thread for MK50.2 will be coming soon provided if the device is supported Check here to see if device is supported; if not, no ETA's please.
i installed mokee rom 5.0.2 and can find the great split view feature there.
its not supported for now?
I went thru HELL getting this ROM to install and what happens? No Wifi :/....
i used the newer Version (5.1.1) for a while and there was no problems.

How to Install
Use TWRP. with new partition
Warning: Only use this recovery to flash New build with new partitio layout.0. Otherwise, you risk bricking your phone, or you might experience boot and stability issues!
Wipe data and cache.
Format /system (only first time coning from older recovery)
Format /data and /data/media (only first time coning from older recovery)
Flash update*.zip.
Flash gapps*.zip. You must flash gapps after every upgrade the since /system is formatted, wiping your previous add-ons.
Reboot phone.
After you setup your Google account, reinstall the three apps from Market in order to restore most of your apps, call log and SMS history.
Warning: Do not restore backup data of system apps!
If you restore a bad backup with cached settings in telephony.db in data/data/com.*.*.telephony it can break MMS.
It seems that restoring backups can also break Calendar sync.

Hi K_TECH,
some time ago i used, tested MoKee ported by @zxc123coke and i was satisfied with this ROM. The later builds, which contained the whole baidu stuff due to OTA support afair, were not used anymore by me.
But now i have flashed your build on one of my testphones and i discovered my old enthusiasm for this ROM - A colleague of mine uses the SGS+ as a daily driver and i'm thinking of flashing this ROM to his phone therefore i test it now a little more - if i find some problems i will surely report - I hope you find the time to update the ROM regularly
Keep on your good work

Sometime, the phone will auto screen on and auto unlock. Is it a bug or I trigger something in the setting and cause it like that? But this is a good rom. I tried a lot of rom and im still feel that Mokee is the best!

Look in Settings if you have check button 'Home unlock'. Uncheck it.
Just fyi the newest K^Kernel seems to be not compatible with this ROM - i encountered different fc,'s after installing the newest K^Kernel - I think there are a few adjustments during the compiling process necessary, but that is just an assumption.
@Aylwinchai: This seems to be a problem of the so called Phantom key presses. there is a filter implemented within the K^Kernel that provides not desired home button presses.
More information -> here.
Cheers

Introduction:
MoKee OpenSource is based on the Google AOSP. We update our source code frequently to keep up with the latest development, and not forgetting to merge in special features of our own at the same time.
A small group of people from around the world who are interested in Android launched this project on the 12th of December 2012, and is committed to make this ROM better and better. Like most contributors of open source projects (Omni, CyanogenMod, Slim AOSPA etc), we are doing all these in our free time as our passion...
Since this project is open source, anyone interested can participate in the development (maintain new devices, contribute code etc). Newcomers are always welcomed!

It's LP 5.1 and there is a Xposed framework built for it, but it's super alpha stage(unstable). So better don't use it. Unless you're doing it for testing!

What about re-routing during Navigation?
Hello everyone, firstly, I would like to thank you @shankky for this ROM. You see, my XT1022 (Indian dual sim variant) is giving me a hard time using custom roms. In my phone, I have this weird GPS bug thing wherein the re-routing in Navigation doesn't work not EVEN IN CM roms or CM based. I cannot rely on it when I need it most.
So i'm forced to revert to stock after a few days. Since, this ROM is AOSP based, is it safe to assume that the re-routing would work just like it did in STOCK ROMS?

FAQ :
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Is this Android 6 (Marshmallow)?
A: Yes, this is Android 6.0.1
Q: What code is Oct-M based on?
A: Starting with Oct-L, we've rebased OctOs on the CyanogenMod 12 code. Oct-M is based on CyanogenMod 13.
Q: What happened to AOSP?
A: All Android code is based on the Android Open Source Project (AOSP). Under previous releases, we tried very hard to limit the number of "Not from Google directly" repositories that we used. Unfortunately, issues with devices, the need for Code Aurora Foundation (CAF) repositories for Qualcomm devices, and compatibility issues meant fighting code more often than not. We decided that since the code-base for many repositories were the same across most ROMs, picking a starting point to build the user experience on outweighed the desire to craft code from scratch, or fix broken code to make it work with other changes we already had.
Q: Why isn't there XYZ feature?
A: Shoot us a Suggestion if you want to see something added. While we are not going to promise to implement, we will always look into it
Q: But XYZ and all the others have..
A: ROM developers build something they want to use. The ROM developer that includes something they won't run implies less than 100% effort to ensure it does work. As a team, we have similar goals and objectives. If XYZ ROM has a feature you want, and we don't include (or don't want to include), feel free to use XYZ ROM, or build your own custom version of Oct-M.
Q: Superuser or SuperSU?
A: Team OctOs uses SuperSU and is installed automatically.
Bugs:
Bugs happen. Our testers are very good at breaking things, but no where near as good as the rest of the Android public. In order to investigate and fix issues, we need the help of the users who are going to report them. The Android OS has many nifty features to help us in this, but only if we can engage the user to assist us.
Logs, Logcat, and the Android Debugging Bridge (ADB)
Like any other OS, Android has multiple log files that are generated and record the goings-on of the system. As a user, you have two basic ways to view and pull these to send to us. Without the information in the logfiles, there simply is not a whole lot of information to go on.
Log file APKs
Team OctOs recommends SysLog from the Android Market. This application will allow you to selectively pick any (or all) of the system logs, compress them into a .ZIP file, and allow you to save, email, move to your Copy/DropBox/Cloud Storage account, etc.
ADB Logcat
The Android Debugging Bridge (ADB) is a powerful tool available from Google as part of the Android Software Development Kit (SDK). Used for many things, being able to selectively see, in real-time, what your device is doing cannot be downplayed. While there is more setup involved, if you are doing consistent ROM flashing, you really should invest the time to get setup properly to do it.
Basic Instructions :
1. Download ROM .zip file and GApps.
2. Reboot to Recovery
--- TWRP is the ONLY recovery Team OctOs uses - We do not support flashing on CWM ---
3. Wipe system, cache, dalvik, and data.
4. Flash ROM and GApps .ZIP files.
5. Reboot.
Enjoy!

The foundation of the Android OS is the fact that is it open-source. We have all code we use internally in the creation of Oct-M available on our GitHub repositories.
Unless otherwise specified, all Oct-M builds use the device's stock CyanogenMod 13 kernel.

Very smooth! I'm testing the ROM, and I miss this features:
RAM usage in Aosp recents
Double Tap in Lockscreen to screen off
Powermenu tile in qs tiles (important)
Floating windows (important)
I also wanted to ask, the smoothness in this rom comes from kernel, just rom, por both? To see if it worth it changing the kernel as I like more features as GPU OC
Btw congratulations for such a good rom

AICP
Android Ice Cold Project
AICP is known by everyone as Ice Cold Project that started on Desire HD and since then evolved into a mature ROM with the BEST community you can find!!!
Until Lollipop, Rom has always been AOKP based. Unfortunately, since AOKP either stopped development or will make a comeback later this year, we changed our base to CM when it comes to hardware, drivers and some features.
If there are any bugs, either we will sort them or CM team if it concerns their modifications. This rom isn't CM supported so no need to report errors or bugs to them!!
How to Install:
1- BACKUP, BACKUP, BACKUP
2 - Unlock bootloader via fastboot
3 - Flash TWRP
4 - Move Rom & Gapps into internal storage
5 - Full Wipes
6- Flash Rom & Gapps (OPTIONAL)

So ...won't come anytime soon for this tablet hah
In would rather just do builds of LOS/ whatever other ROM.
And perhaps add some stuff, fixing things...

It would be cool if we could eventually get our own device page but I dont think there is enough development yet.

Where can I find the download links for this ROM?
NVM - found it.
Looking forward to trying this ROM out.
Do you know if the Amazon Prime Video app works on this ROM? I can't seem to get it to work on the other Lineage OS or Resurection Remix ROMS for this device. The OP couldn't seem to replicate the problem either, but I bought a 2nd one of these tablets with the same problem. (It works fine on the stock ROM, too)
It's fine if you don't have Amazon Prime. If it loads up to the point where you can login, it should be good. It kept closing on me before I got to that point.
I made a post about it here: https://forum.xda-developers.com/general/help/lenovo-tab-tb-x103f-running-lineage-os-t3651611
A logcat file can be found in the last post. Feel free to take a look. I'd appreciate it!
In the meantime, I'll fire up this ROM and see it for myself. Thanks for porting it!
I tested the Amazon Prime app last night. And it doesn't work on AICP, either. I'm at my wit's end on this one. Help, please?
Thanks.

Have you tried Amazon's new app on the play store? I just watched the first episode of The Tick on my tablet with lineage just fine.
Thank you for your reply! Yeah, I did try the play store version as soon as I heard it was there. Same thing. On two tablets, too.
Not sure if I installed the room wrong, but I'm not new to flashing rooms, and other apps work, even stuff like YouTube.
I'm at my wit's end trying to figure out this puzzle! Thanks again.

Sorry if this has been asked before, I did search the thread and couldn't seem to find the answer.
Does this ROM support F2FS? If so, which partitions should be formatted as such?
Thanks in advance.
Hi all,
Any reviews yet? Is there low volume problem like on Lineage?
Thanks.
Edit:
Trying this rom for a week, and can say its very stable, without any noticeable problems. The overall performance is comparable to stock, maybe a bit faster. Volume level with Dolby Atmos installed is ok. Battery is ok after a few days, 0-1% drop after 24h of inactivity. Wifi speed is around 30mbps for me so no problems here too.
The single disagvantage I found - the rom does not support dt2w like stock.
Thank you, @superdragonpt
Edit2:
Found a bug - when wifi scanning off AND wifi automatic turn off is enabled - wifi not working after sleep.
