Hi guys, I'm considering a purchase of Mi5s Plus in 4GB/64GB version and I've got two questions. Are there any differences between these two versions except RAM and ROM memory? Are ROMs such as Ressurection Remix or LineageOS compatibile with both of them?

Btw mate, would u reccomend 64GB version? It works fine for you? I mean multi tasking. Can it handle several apps in memory without reloading them over and over?

Yes, I recommend that. You won't be disappointed with 4 GB RAM, multitasking is nearly perfect.

EVERYBODY, till now which is the best lollipop rom for our device you've tried for DAILY USE....
I'm looking for speed at best.
All I need is speed.
I don't care about anything else...
I know these kinda threads are discouraged but I don't really have the time to flash all of 'em.

Thanks a bunch. But how about something a wee bit more stable. Marshmallow has just been released for our device. I intend to use a ROM as my daily driver.

Xposed is also pretty important. Is it working well? Also, just a final confirmation. Is it really good? Cause my experience with CM 12.1. wasn't very good. It had continuous reboots and crashes and fcs on day 2.

Look for Xposed made for Android 6 CM13 then be careful how to use its modules properly for tab 2 7
Again try it carefully for your needs, let's know what do you find.

Ok, I've installed the ROM and its SO AWESOME THAT I WANNA SAY THE F WORD even though I'm 12. Installed ViperFX and Xposed. Working great. Two problems are as follows. Battery life is so-so, worse than SlimKat (that I had before). And when I connect it to my PC, the file explorer doesn't show anything. I mean that it shows my device but when I click on it, it says the this folder is empty. Android Debugging is enabled. Any suggestions???

-When I tap on Battery in Settings, it says that unfortunately, settings has stopped.

In addition, battery life seems to be longer.
With Nougat the possibility to set the memory card as internal memory is removed?
Another question: the multi windows function has been implemented? With the M9 Nougat update none...

Formatting the SD card as internal is still an option, and multi window is supported

please tell me the results, because my sister has One A9, and I used to update apps from apkmirror without any problems, but when HTC 10 came out, suddenly some apps stopped working. And one day I was really in trouble, I updated Phone app, and she could´t make any phone calls, nor receive it. That day I was in hurry and in the last moment rolling back to stock saved my a**.
Really I don´t know why HTC make some difference in the apps, for my phone Xperia Z5, everythings works fine, there is no incompactible app.
Also, the latest apk version of camera for A9 if I can remember was 8.10.779478

As long as it is Nougat = Yes. Android 7.0 is the barely Minimum to run this Patch

The 3Gb could cause Problems with the Light Kernel Option. If You decide to disable it in AROMA everything should run fine. V1.2 of the Patch will not longer have this Option so is this only a Problem on the actual Version. (Light Kernel = Disabled = All good on 3Gb). Hope You'll enjoy it! :angel:

I think that you will have a issues with this patch. Check post - for Android 7.1.X like Mokee - that means AOSP-based ROM. MIUI is heavily customised AOSP. That means that you can have serious issues on your phone.

I don't think there will come more 3Gb Devices in the Future since the Prices for Storage Chips are falling with the Years. But as long as there are 64Bit Snapdragons with 3Gb RAM i've to support them too!

i use mi5s3gb/64, i already disable Light kernel, i have some problem
- i must restart 3 times to finish setup wizard
- calling no sound, ui and notification sound have so much noise

I am trying with RR, after will revert you
Edit: Same bug in RR
Edit2: Seems resolve bug if I in preferences-app set again phone default app.

@Miustone How can i configure Htc battery saver, it always kill my music player after 3s screen off
Are the improvements noticable? Also, can I flash this over my existing installation? Or do I have to wipe system and data, then reinstall rom and patch?

I cannot give an exact one, but it seems to be way better than in any other custom ROMs I have tried.

The camera is ok, but you will need to use a non-Google Camera app (in case u use stock gapps package). CameraMX for example is good.

What are some lightweight roms? I have a phone with 4gb storage and 512mb ram. My friend can compile the rom for my device.
All unmodded AOSP based ROMs are lightweight ROMs, IMO.

Why don't you try some earlier Lineage?
I didn't use it for a very long time but I know it can really save tons of space.
