Light use endurance - OnePlus 5 Real Life Review

Once in a while, when your significant other yells at you, you might use your phone a bit less. Rate this thread to express how the OnePlus 5's battery performs under light use. A higher rating indicates that the device goes a long time when you're using the phone sparingly: no gaming or video/audio streaming, light web browsing, some calling and texts, etc.
Then, drop a comment if you have anything to add!

I live in fear that Google will pass me some #@!$%* Google Play Services, or some other update, that will tank this phone's endurance. So far, though, my OnePlus 5 has exhibited great battery performance.

This was from a few weeks ago, few hours of data surfing web at work. The rest on wifi at home, using reading mode for most if that:

Light and heavy use endurance are both awesome, even though standby drain is quite bad. Why the hell the device is kept awake for such a long time? BBS and co. don't bring light into darkness as well, nothing really special here....

Easy !
If he works, can't play with the phone. If he got kids, can't play with the phone that much.
If you make some calls per day, few SMS, some email, baterry will last for days. If you close the phone at night even more. You can reach a week. I know. I did.

Opinions on BLACK 2600 mAh for G2

*Blank - Turning this into a review for the cheap one I got on Ebay*
I found this one and ordered it : http://www.ebay.com/itm/251065892927
for 9$ I'm willing to give it a try (and even though it may be the exact same one from a chinese seller, I prefer to have it ship from a US location).
Won't be able to actually try it til it gets here.
Have you received/tested the battery? Interested in getting one as well

Yea I received it a week ago, I like it so far (do note this isn't the same one as the BLACK 3600 I mentioned in my first post, but rather the 9$ 3500mah one from ebay).
The battery door you can tell is cheap when you get it, however I've gotten use to it fast, the slightly rubberized texture is a nice feel for me and seems to fit better in my hands now.
After about 2, 3 days of charge up, drain down, charge up it seems to be nicely consistent now in the power usage can easily get a couple of days out of it before needing a charge (mostly on account of both my SetCPU profile and undervolting table).
Basically once fully charged it could take about 1.5-2 hours before it would end up showing 99% on stuff like Google Music, email, Facebook, etc.
A battery screenshot back when I was doing a bit of music and background notifications (fb, email, twitter, Skype, etc logged in and notifying around 10-15 minute mark), screen not on as often, but I don't usually have my screen on all that often especially as I don't normally sit thru a game that long.
Charges pretty fast at least.

I don't remember 100% what I did at what specific time frame, but I know from 42% to 36% I was watching an Episode of Heroes so bout 40ish minutes of netflix there.

720p Mode and Battery Life

I used to get nearly 24 hours of battery life (sometimes less) on 1080p mode with moderate usage:
* around a couple of hours of games;
* couple of hours of browsing
* a few hours of 3g, but mostly on wifi
* moderate use of whatsapp, messaging and calls.
Now I decided to try out the 720p mode again, with a similar usage pattern, and the results are quite good:

I don't care too much for 720p. The battery lasts as long as I need it on 1080 and performance mode.

I really can't notice much difference visually between 720p and 1080p mode, though maybe that is just me (and my eyes are not exactly 20/20!)
I had taken two screenshots earlier, and I still can't discern a major difference, even after looking at them at full size:
You can see the 720p screen is a bit more blurry although I doubt you would notice it while looking directly onto the screen. But comparing the screenshoots directly side-to-side you can definitely notice it. The blue fading background makes it even easier to see.
I also try to use 1080p and switched to 720p and do not see the differences. Maybe someone who play game see the difference?
what would be your screen on time with 1080p and the usage pattern you said about?
Where can I set ROG technology?

soc temperature

Is it normal that my s6's SoC overheats so quickly?
With 3G/4G browsing plus some facebook the SOC temperature gets up to 60°C pretty quickly.. hell sometimes even 65°c!! this on 3g/4g. Wifi is a bit better but not so much (50-55°C).
The phone itself gets hot and it's very annoying.
Is this normal or is my phone defective?
Can anybody post some screenshots of CPUZ?
thanks

Five minutes browsing with 3g ( weak signal ) :crying:
I have the same problem when I turn mobile data on. It once got up to 63°C (according to phoneinfo). And it's so annoyingly hot on the metal bezel near the power button sometimes.
I found that disabling sync will keep it cooler. Also it gets hotter on mobile data then on WiFi.
So is this a defect, because I have my warranty?

[Q] Battery still appalling.

Okay so I brought this phone Monday, yay very happy to have a Z3 cause I heard much great things about them. But the most wow factor for me was the battery life..
But sadly mine isn't that great.. Okay so, with 100% battery my phone without Stamina mode will last 3 hours.

And this is with Stamina mode on..
Bare in mind please that I'm not a hardcore user. I don't play games I use social media and occasionally watch the odd YouTube video here and there.. I've tried letting it completely die and charge it for over 14 hours and it's still the same stats.
I turned on a brand new Z3 compact and that had 54% battery and would last 17 more hours without Stamina mode.
In contemplating sending this phone back.
I will post more screenies if you need more detail

Scroll down further, there are (two) step 5's for some reason. Focus on the sections dealing with stamina mode and see if that helps.

Battery life

So I came from the note 4 and thought I would see better battery and screen on time. I see the posts in the note 5 thread that people are getting 7-10 hours of screen on time and maybe the most I can get is 5. Is this from the sprint cell service or something else. I have a lot of apps disabled with package Disabler and I am not rooted. What are your battery stats?

Just about the same as yours. I get about 3 hours of screen on time. However, I do leave wifi, gps, and Bluetooth on all the time. I have a bluetooth headset connected for the majority of the time.
Most I get is about 3.5 SOT so I would say you're getting pretty good battery life.
Confused about the Office apps.
My battery life is good so I can't complain but I find that the pre-installed Microsoft Office apps are taking up quite a bit of my precious juice. Since I have not rooted yet I can't freeze these apps. Is anyone else consistently noticing these apps at the top of their battery usage?
You can use package Disabler to freeze apps.

I get great battery, just deboated and used an app called kernel toolkit.
I get 6-10 hours on screen if not more and all day battery with screen off, but my phone is seriously deboated and most apps stopped from starting.
I get over 3 hours in a 16 hour day. It's not great, but more than enough to get me through the day. The fast charge also helps for the heavier use days.
