So... what can I possibly do to even come close to using 8GB of RAM on the OP5? I had 3 games running yesterday and came to 1.8GB lol

i'm using the 3gb ram/64gbrom version, and i hink that the amount of ram is just enough for what i need i usually have like 4 to 5 apps open and switching between them seems to be working well no apps are closing or restarting when switching from one app to another
Im using the 4gb ram/32gb rom version i use 2 and 3 apps. Multitasking key says 2 or 2.2/4gb ram left.

nothing to complain about multitasking on Prime model. Its way sufficient.
Haha, 2/10
in spite of having 3 gigs of ram background apps keep closing frequently for me . I hardly have about 6-7 apps running . on a nexus 5 with 2 gb never had this issue
Very bad in stock

plently of ram, no issues with multitasking
I can switch from one app to another in 1 second or lower... RAM is 4 GB... it's enough... can open 15 apps and don't feel any decrease in speed.
Very smooth multitasking. Can open Temple run and facebook and the same time with no lags.
Buttery smooth..multitasking is really smooth.
4 GB is ok!
Is not refresh 6 games and 8/10 apps is nice.
I have the 4GB model of the Honor 9 and the RAM is very good. Can run plenty of apps at the same time, and launching apps is very fast.

I was expecting the phone to have trouble multitasking. But for normal use using apps (not games) it works perfectly. I haven't had any apps close on me while I was switching between them.
Just be sure to use the default launcher. Tried using nova for a while and multitasking would slow the phone to the point of making it unusable.
I am the 4gb, 64gb version and I use Nova launcher and I'm able to multitask and do anything I want without problems. I easily go over 24hours of usage with at least 6hours of screen on time, with gaming. Very happy of the phone.
For some reason i cant reply on me regular account.. anyway with a clean flash i am experiencing google play store just hanging at pending with all apps, has anyone else experienced this on the latest build? 1/31

Same here. I have the 4gb 64gb version, unlocked bootloader, root with recovery. All bloatware removed or frozen via TWRP.
I have an average of 2.6-2.8gb free ram!!
This phone is FAST and I'm also able to get around 6 hours SOT over a 24 hour period easily. VERY impressive for a 6'' device, really amazing battery and efficient processor.
Surprisingly good RAM management on this phone. Like others have said, if you flash a custom ROM you can get some really good performance out of this phone.

Very bad ram management! Can't keep apps in memory for more than an hour tops! And very often refreshes after minutes. Yes optimize battery is off and app is locked! ?
I purchased this phone, new, 3 months ago. I haven't experienced this issue. I would rate "Multitasking/RAM" with 5 Stars.
