Dunno what black magic they pulled in this build but it's very nice!
Got 5 days of usage on a single charge - audiobooks, daily web browsing, emails etc.
Big thank you to @qwertysmerty for the hook-up :good:

Just updated to 8.1.0, though I suspect battery usage will be in-line with the other Oreo builds, we shall see.

3300mah mustnt drain so fast
Depending on the game and how the game handle big little cores. In h2os beta I saw an improvement in the way it uses big cores for gaming and it doesn't use little as much as in lollipop, that is better performance and better battery life.

Playing almost non stop dokkan battle and using social messaging apps etc.. I range from 3-4 hours max (depending using Wi-Fi or data). This is on oxygen and bliss ROM.
not up to the expectations
Very bad. Phone drains faster then pouring out a packet of milk...

I play NFS No Limit at work around 2hrs (Shhh...) and by end of the day i always have around 30-20 % left (im on cm13 with benschholds kernel) and most of the time is NFS takes more power than the screen - avrg ratio 19%-17%- im pretty happy with this result, i think i will get around 6hrs play time (my screen is on half brightness most of the time)

Heat

Some phones are great to take camping because if you play Asphalt 8 long enough, the back warms up to the ideal temperature that can bake bread. Rate this thread to express the extent to which the Sony Xperia XZs stays cool under extended heavy use. A higher rating indicates that even when playing strenuous games for long periods of time, the phone doesn't get uncomfortably warm.

Haven't use it extensively but the past week I only got the excessive heat warning pop up when i opened the camera app for a prolong time.
i have Black Device, when ever i use the device at direct sunlight it seems absorbing heat by it's chassis and device getting hot. it seems throttle down the CPU, and it's make the device lagging.
i dont know if this is overheat or normal heat. but im sure this is the hottest one i ever used so far.
In nougat there is no heating issue when using mobile net, playing asphalt 8 or camera use. After updated to Oreo there is heating issue when using mobile net or opening apps. Why heating in Oreo?

Battery lasts a couple of hours, 22 hours playing a game on minimum brightness is nothing but a pipe dream for this phone. 4 year old oneplus one battery performs better than this battery.
The 2K screen, while the best thing about the phone, is the real energy hog. If I need longer stand-alone battery life, I use ADB to drop the resolution to 1080p. I get about a 30%-40% boost that way.

That's interesting, what the hell did they make the screen out of, 2000 year technology. The battery is rubbish, I think it's the batteries quality, it's like you have Duracell and then you have £1 discount Kodak batteries where you get 20 in a pack this is the latter. What's the point in in having a 2K screen of you can't use it, do you know what I mean? I have to charge it up 3 times a day with moderate gaming, YouTube ect on low brightness. I could have get a better spec phone 6gm ram Snapdragon SoC with 1080p screen but the 2K blows all their screen out of the water.
3 Times a day?! maybe you should give it a factory reset. That shouldn´t be normal. Maybe the battery life is not the best in comparsion to other 4000mah phones ... but i get at least 2 days with a screen on time around 4-6hours before i have to charge the device. An thats @ Stock rom, the eragon rom should boost this even further.
I agree. If you're charging it 3 times a day, either your phone has an issue or your usage patterns aren't as moderate as you think they are.
average
I use my phones for radio/streaming in the car using android auto. I have to keep my s8 plugged in else the battery just gets eaten

It has a 2016 cpu.
No
I have this decive since july 2018 and i am not a very powe user. I mainly use: youtube, fb, fb messenger, whatsapp, telegram, twiiter, instagram and sometimes the camera. At first this device was great. but as time went by, it became mor and more evident how programmed obsolescence works. i cant go one day without hard rebooting my phone due to it freezing when 2 notificacions arrive at the same time. it is really frustrating, and i am on the last official release for it, the EMUI 9.1. 10/10 would not recommend. it is like food for today hunger for tomorrow. And the camera app is horrible. A delay of more than 1 minute to use it if not it freezes. Next time i will save up and but a decent phone. With this im not saying that huawei is bad, i actually really like their products, im just saying this cellphone is bad.
I am still using it and its running great for my needs. I have tried 8 and 9.1 in my opinion it runs wayy better on Android 8 (how can this people can screw up soo much with the 9.1 idk but its disaster ) i use the latest update for 8 before the 9.1 came and have dissabled the Update application by freezing it trought root.

Charging speed is slow, would rather have faster charging speeds (atleast 18W), camera could've been better.
It's really a great phone. Good quality overall and absolutely stable. Battery needs recharging after two days (in my case; calling, surfing, reading / writing e-mails, etc.).
However, the ringing volume is too loud even at the lowest level setting (the volume slider has just a few increments, so you cannot fine-tune the volume). On the other hand, the call volume could be higher.
