APNs fully editable through QuickShortcutMaker App - Sprint Samsung Galaxy S8 Questions & Answers

Stumbled upon this earlier today... download the QuickShortcutMaker app from the playstore.
Open it up and do a search for TEST. The last option to come up should be com.test.LTEFunctionality. Expand that, and click on the LTE test underneath of it. Then click TRY in the app. Scroll down to LTE APN Setting. The APNs are fully editable, and survive multiple reboots. I was able to add DUN, as well as proxy settings from adblock. wooo whoo! Apologies if this has been metioned elsewhere, but I haven't seen it.

Which line did you edit to turn on hotspot? Thanks!

Finally thank you!
default,mms,dun

Would also like to know. Also when I search "TEST" the last option isn't what you posted. Mine is Google Play Games (com.google.android.gms etc etc... )

This works perfectly for me. I searched for LTE and found the right one. Thanks!

Got to this part, what do I edit so that Sprint doesn't know if I'm using phone data or hotspot data? I'm on a 10 gig hotspot plan and need just a little bit more.

Great post! Worked perfectly on my S8+. I couldn't find the file on my Note 5 though. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I may be doing wrong? Many thanks to the OP!

Thank you. I made the changes. I hope it works. We had a power failure last week and I ran 2 devices from my phone's LTE. I used 2.65 GB of the 10 allotted.

On the Note5 try searching for "ROAM" or "APN", I vaguely remember seeing some roaming/APN options on a Sprint version.
Try all the activities... YMMV

10Gigs/month? I go through that in 2 days, sometimes pushing over a 100gigs a month on LTE prepaid for only 50 bucks a month.
In 2017 you can do better than that, not having to dread the friggin' data limits
Just check around, there are plenty of nationwide prepaid offerings, and with a little tweaking you can do it too.

You're the best!

Has anybody confirmed this still works after the recent QGL update?

I'm not really sure how to check it, but it seems to be working for me. Reason being, in have a 10g free with my unlimited plan, but I suppose I need to run that out first?
Oh and if anyone has any insight on how to set up that proxy, im the mayor of noobtown when it comes to that. Running adguard personally.

Tethering help :(

Hey guys,
Here's what, my phone manages to establish a connection with my computer just fine, as it is able to with other devices. But apparently, it does NOT share my 3g while it's at it. I guess it's a common problem?

The only way that I know of to tether without root is to pay your carrier a fee (most probably a monthly fee) to enable it for you.
There are apps in the playstore that are supposed to work, but I haven't tried any so I can't say how well they work.

WiFi or USB? I've only used WiFi, but not in a while so I'll double check it when I get home in a couple of hours. As far as USB tethering goes, I may be wrong but I think you'd have to have something installed on your computer that supports it. A friend of mine uses PDAnet on both his phone and PC to USB tether his desktop but I don't know if something like that is required.

jcase has already stated that 3.0 is not intended to support Moto phones. I think it's for the HTC phones only. Not to say the Moto phones may unintentionally benefit from the update, nor that there isn't a "version 4.0" coming later on, so I agree with you on waiting to take any updates whatsoever. Please do post all over every Turbo forum thread if 3.0 works when it's released. I mean, borderline spam the entire forum to let people know, lol.
I was planning to wait to get the phone until an exploit is found, but with updates coming out-of-the-box it may not be long before the stock of phones at 21.21.12 are gone and stores start stocking the phone with 21.21.15 already installed, so I'll be getting a 64 GB tomorrow afternoon.
I find it very odd that there is no information online as far as what the .15 update affects (supposedly not the VoLTE update).

I rocked .12 for the first 8 hours, then finally updated to .15 - right after updating to .15 a number of updates not available previously in Play became available for the Camera app, looked to be darn near every Verizon app, and a few other tid-bits... only thing of real note was the Motorola Camera app getting an update that didn't exist prior.
The camera also showed better performance with the update, especially in the neighborhood of noise in shadows. As well, battery life seemed better, but that could be the phone getting a proper charge / battery level reading.
The 15 update fixed my IMS issues I was having. On 12 my IMS wouldn't register but on 15 it works flawlessly.

The main reason I need IMS is at Badger football games at camp Randall, the legacy spectrum is over saturated and won't allow me to send SMS without IMS. The LTE network can handle it however.

It let's you disable apps that you can't through the application manager, so yes it's very useful. And that's not even considering the benefits of having a UI tool with backup/restore app list and batch operations.

I finally got a chance to try this but I just saw it needs root. That kinda ruins it for us verizon users since we cant get root. If I could root I'd just use titanium backup to freeze them or remove them though this is a nice way to do a bunch all at once.

Problem to access Amazon websites on Pixel 3

[It's solved! March Security Patch solved the problem!] 2019-03-09
Hello buddies,
I live in Japan, and I've bought a Pixel 3 about 1 month ago. Everything is fine so far despite I can't access Amazon websites (.com or .co.jp, or .com.br, whatever), both in browsers or Amazon Shopping app. My wife has an iPhone and there is no problem with that. By laptop has no problem too. It's about the Pixel 3, I think.
I've made a quick research, and I found some people with the same problem here in Japan, but not only with Amazon websites, but some others too. For this research I'm using a translator from Japanese language, and I didn't get any tips to solve this.
Does someone have the same problem? Any suggestion to fix it?
Thanks in advance.
Might not help, but have you tried using a different browser app?
Very odd, just tried it here in China and it works fine.

Hey @Torombolo,
Yes, I've tried VPN Hub, and anothers VPNs app too, and nothing. I'm really believing that the problem is my device. I guess I've tried all the possibilities. Actually, I'm very disappointed with Pixel because of that...

The update version is 2019 February 5th
And I haven't tried a factory reset yet. Maybe it's the last try yeah?
Well, I did the factory reset, nothing!
Then I've found out that I can access all the websites which I'm having trouble using 4G. So, If I change my connection from WiFi to Data, I can access. It's very weird, isn't?

No, it's not the router, because on my wife's iPhone it's connecting normally, laptop either. My brother's Note 8 is also connecting. It.seems that there is a lot of people with the same problem on Pixel 3.

Very strange. Could just be a DNS problem. Try using Blockada. It's free and lets you choose different DNS servers.
